941  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin without china, how would it look? on: November 06, 2016, 08:01:14 AM
I think I do not know enough about how China is really involved into bitcoin.
All I know is that there are mining farms in China.

Does anybody have an idea of how high the mining capacity in China is compared to the whole bitcoin mining capacity?

I have looked up the list of some notable bitcoin exchanges on wikipedia. One is noted to be in Hong Kong, one in China. The other 13 have nothing to do with China.
Bitfinex was not mentioned, but I think it is in Hong Kong as well.
Since there are so many exchanges outside China, I do not see why regulating, or even closing those in China would be such a big thing.

942  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What about the idea of a bitcoin shop in big cities? on: November 05, 2016, 04:15:52 PM
It would be good to have a bitcoin shop on big cities as this would increase the people's attention and would buy something.
Besides this I think that also other altcoins would contribute to this shop by having a sector of their altcoin shop inside.
The first thing to consider is what is the use of all online or other stores will accept bitcoin. After the purchase will do only those users that are relevant to cryptocurrency, and the rest have only real money.

I see not how a shop for bitcoins could be profitable.
It would take a lot of fees to make it work, and I really do not think anybody would pay those.
Online exchanges can be used withe every smartphone, so I highly doubt that a real shop can be competitive with those.
943  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best Bitcoin Business To Create? on: November 05, 2016, 04:01:26 PM
Create a faucet with upgrades features, daily bonus, chat paying few satoshis per message, forum paying for posts.

It would be like the old SmashBTC, but don't set so high maximum rewards, or the faucet will die also. They were offering maximum 100 satoshis per minute... I think maximum 50 satoshis per second would be a good amount, if possible.

Please, no more faucets! They are of no use!!
The only group of people who visite faucets are the ones who want a few satoshis. The ads showns to them have no effect.
There is a reason why adsense banned faucets: they only generate bad traffic.
944  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: November 05, 2016, 07:38:45 AM
Even though bitcoin is becoming very popular, it still cannot replace or make banks disappear! Banks have been with is for ages and they are quite stable when it comes to monetary issues. Aside from that, bitcoin is still not accepted in some parts of the world.

I would say that bitcoin is not accepted in most parts of the world. When i look around in my area and wanted to purchase anything for bitcoin in real life, I would come back empty handed.
Besides, banks offer more than money transfer. They give services a lot of people need. Advisement in how to invest money for example.
Bitcoin can not do that.
945  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this rumor enough to pull the price down? on: November 04, 2016, 02:22:01 PM
Maybe that small price decrease from yesterday was a reaction on that news.
But if chinese miners have trouble with sending their mined coins to the rest of the world, would not that mean that the supply is shortened there?
And to me that sounds like the price would be going up then, at least on the long run.
946  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you Still believe in Fiat? on: November 04, 2016, 02:15:23 PM
I do not see that within the next few generations there is a way to get rid of fiats. I do not even think that this would be a good idea.
They have proven to be persisten and useful during a few thousand years.
I can imagine that their biggest strength is the fact that they are regulated.
When things go sideways, central banks can make quick decisions to react on wherever they think the problem lies. Of cours this does not mean that they are successful.
But at least they can try.
947  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How does bitcoin ATM going to affect bitcoin? on: November 04, 2016, 02:05:17 PM
I know of one bitcoin ATM the next few hundred miles, and that has already closed again.
Bitcoin ATMs do not seem to be profitable around here.
Personally I have never used one, but in a few threads here it was claimed that they take relatively high fees.
In that case I do not think that ATMs will have any influence on bitcoin at all.
948  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: advantages of bitcoin on: November 04, 2016, 09:08:48 AM
Well Bitcoin's price appreciation is better than any bank's interest rate on it's saving also if you did it right you can make money in holding bitcoin rather than saving your money in a bank. Also it is impossible right now for a bank to accept bitcoin as bitcoin is currently volatile and what I think are  people will prefer to loan out fiat money rather than a volatile currency which is more practical.

Yes you are right. I have made some deposit on banks and after 10 years I only earn some cents. Well bitcoin has showed me new way to look at savings. My bitcoin savings has grown in huge amount and has doubled in one year. And up to now I have more bitcoin on my wallet rather than deposits on my account. More power to bitcoin, there are more advantages to bitcoin than you can imagine.
Bank investment for me is not a worth investment. You will earn only a few bucks when you invested your money for years. It is better to invest on other currency exchange than investing it to the bank.
Even bank has a good security it doesnt make bank a good investment tho

But with banks there is at least the certainty that the money will not decline.
With crypto this certainty is not given. Of course, here we all have the hope on a growing bitcoin price, but it's just a hope. There is as well the possibility of loss.
Some people just want to make sure the amount of dollars they own now will be about the same in in the next few years. For those security is something they would never give up.

949  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it safe to keep all your Bitcoins in one wallet? on: November 04, 2016, 08:17:41 AM
It depends on how good you are at managing different account.
In case you are a little absentminded and put the list with your passwords in places you forget them, or match the passwords to the wrong wallets, it might be a good decision to make it as easy as possible.
And that would mean having just one wallet where everything comes together.

Of course, if that one wallet is corrupted somehow, everything is gone.
Is there any posibility that one wallet can be corrupted somehow? and then what will the CEO gonna do with the bitcoins? i think it save automatically into his wallet? And yeh it depends on how good he is managing different accounts of bitcoin wallets and for me i always printing important things and information regarding on my bitcoin wallet.

I think ther is no program out there that can actually break into your wallet and steal the coins you own.
With corrupted I mean that somebody gets hold over your login details. That can happen if the computer has some sort of virus on it that logs your key strikes.
It's the same with the printed version. Pictures are taken relatively fast these days with every smartphone.
Once the coins are out of your reach, they are lost for ever.
950  Economy / Economics / Re: What will happen if we use a one currency only? on: November 04, 2016, 08:04:43 AM
This idea was embodied in the EU. when on the territory of several countries, one currency is introduced.

And it was not very well thought through.
Countries need the option to devalue a currency in order to stay in competition with other countries who might have a stronger economy or different legislative conditions.
If that option is not available, you can not export goods to aother countries because they will not be bought due to the high price. The already weak economy crumbles even more.
That's exactly what happened to the countries in the south of Europe compared to the northern countries.

952  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do people around you think about Bitcoin ? on: November 04, 2016, 07:49:35 AM
some friends in my class bitcoin know what the funny thing is they only know that bitcoin is just an online currency alone, they do not know the advantages besides bitcoin

Unfortunately, many such opinion about Bitcoin. But let us hope that in the future lyudt learn about the advantages and the Bitcoins will use it in their lives. My friends on the Bitcoin not heard

Compared to cash money or bank accounts, bitcoin is more complicated.
I am relatively sure that a lot of people simply are too lazy or just don't have the necessary time that is needed to get in touch with bitcoin.
That is why a lot of people have heared about it, but nothing more.
953  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Effects of Banning Bitcoin ? on: November 04, 2016, 07:43:01 AM
I am convinced that even if the posession of bitcoin is declared to be illegeal in a country, people will not follow that law.
Technically it's hard to prove that someone owns bitcoins, at least if the owner understands a little bit of what he is doing with his coins.
The only way I can think of how a government can enforce such a law is to block the exchanges.
But that will only be successful for a short time.
Soon businesses in other countries will grow up that will handle the problem, against a little fee of course.
954  Economy / Economics / Re: China Prepares To Impose Curbs, "Capital Controls" On Bitcoin on: November 04, 2016, 07:19:31 AM
I don't carry about capital controls. Those can be easily circumvented. What I worry about is the Chinese government declaring mining illegal. That would be truly catastrophic.

If China ban the mining operations one day, the worst that can happen, other countries will take the lead. With a new law or regulation, people need to adapt and think a different way.

I think that even if mining would be declared to be illegal by the government, China would still be China.
The miners would have to pay some official to look in another direction. I think that is how things work there, with almost everything.
So it is very likely that a ban of mining would have nearly no impact on bitcoin.
955  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: btc authority on: October 29, 2016, 04:49:18 PM
I'm not sure if a bitcoin authority in things concerning governments really is necessary.
But I think for the future developement of bitcoin changes will be necessary at a certain point.
And the decission making process seems to me too slow.
I can imagine that an authority that shows options and gives timelines for developement would be a good thing.
956  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 700 BTC for 1zcash. on: October 29, 2016, 04:19:40 PM
I guess if you have two coins of zcash you will be rich. honestly, I do not think that there is a coin that has a higher price of bitcoin. I guess if zcash develops, people will start looking zcawh of the bitcoin

The hype was over relatively quick.
Zec has reached 7btc per coin on Poloniex this afternoon.
I am really wondering if somebody has bought it at 2300 btc per coin.
957  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you see what is happening with the altcoins prices? on: October 29, 2016, 03:29:25 PM
There is something else. I did expected a HUGE pump on ZCash (https://twitter.com/bulgar1an/status/791970268768075777), but this is RIDICULOUS. ZEC has reached 3299 BTC per coin on Poloniex...

At the moment ZEC is at about 6 btc per coin on polo. Seems to have lost 99.76%  during the last 24 hours.
I don't see it coming back from there.
958  Economy / Speculation / Re: Deutsche Bank: How long before it crashes now? on: October 29, 2016, 08:43:28 AM
From all I know they made a profit in Q3 2016 of 300 millions.
In Q1 and Q2 they made profit as well. I don't see these are numbers from a crashing bank.
Even hedgefonds have reduced their bets aginst this bank in the last weeks again. And they are usually the first who take advantage of crashing companies.
I guess the big thing is the $14bn fine from the US authorities, if they can reneg the fine like most of the other banks did it will increase the investment levels back in the bank. The IMF have labelled DB as the most at risk bank in the western world right now.

I have read recently that punishment from US side has been reduced to something between 5 and 5.5 billions.
That's still a huge amount, but something the bank can handle.
And there still is that chance that this is not the end of the line. Their lawyers think they can continue to negotiate and reduce the amount even further.
959  Other / Off-topic / Re: For how many people you introduced the Bitcoin? on: October 29, 2016, 08:09:35 AM
about 10 of my friends started using bitcoin because of me at first they thought it was nothing back when the bitcoin price was around 100 but they started beveling in its potential when they realized how fast the bitcoin price was going up
Probably, your explaination about bitcoin is good so they thrust you. I was try to explain bitcoin to my friends but they did not understand yet. May be they will know the advantage of use bitcoin if they learning by doing, or just seeing me gain money in bitcoin.

I tried to do it several times, but it never worked.
I think the person that bitcoin is explained to must have some basic interest in technical stuff. Otherwise it's somply not worth the time.
If somebody does not show any kind of interest from the start, talking about bitcoin will only annoy him and drive him even further away from bitcoin.
960  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be Smart, When Investing Your Bitcoins In Various Sites on: October 29, 2016, 07:14:54 AM
I used to judge majority of hyips/investment program related to bitcoin as follows;
- Does site pay high daily return ? if yes site will be surely scam in few days
- Does site have any real income source to give you return from investment ? If no -- scam
- Does site have complete company profile running it ? If no (don't include UK based paid companies as real company) -- probably will run away
- Does site pay high referral commision? IF yes --- scam

Those are really good rules.
Unfortunatelly, if I use them to all investment sites I know, they all turn out to be scams. And it is very likely that they really all are scams.
Can you tell me if you have ever found a site where your rules tell that investing will not turn out to be a 100% loss of coins?
