961  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Acceptance of Bitcoin and Crypto in New Zealand: A Curious Case on: September 29, 2019, 07:56:16 AM
Each service or company is free to accept any payment as it wishes as long as it does not violate the regulations of the country. if there are no specific rules for crypto to be used as a means of payment I think it's safe. and makes it easier for crypto users there to make transactions and can also help the development of the crypto community for the wider community who previously did not know what crypto was.
962  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Gold? Which one you would choose to invest for long term? Why ? on: September 29, 2019, 07:51:35 AM
We all have different  prospective regarding the investment , be it long term or short term.

Bitcoin has been the most amazing invention and has given massive return of investment for those who joined from 2013. From low point in 2013 to 20k in 2017, it has gone from one end to another end. Right now today its trading at $10461 per bitcoin. The prediction is with just 21 million maximum supply it will reach 1 million bucks per coin one day.

Gold has been one of the most popular investment for centuries. Every country or government be it in the past or present always prefer gold reserve over their own currency even to prepare themselves for financial meltdown. Right now GOLD is being traded at $1425/oz.

So my question is which one you would chose for your investment ? Which one you would chose to outperform the other ? GOLD or BITCOIN? Please tell us with a reason why ?

Thanks everyone for taking part in this discussion.

everyone has a different type characteristic. for people who believe on technology and ready to take a big risk with possibly high return valuebitcoin is the best choice, even though the risks are still high. because no one knows what will happen in the future. but for people who are realistic and don't believe in payment technology and crypto gold isn't bad either. Gold is accepted in all countries.
963  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: :-> Bitcoin are helping to reduce global debt. :-> on: September 29, 2019, 07:45:19 AM
Banks do the same thing into the stock market. but the difference is in the stock market. government has a professional trader that is required to make a definite profit. different from crypto. even they had a professional trader on the stock market or crypto market. crypto especially bitcoin its still unpredictable. and it can be so risky for them.
964  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think satoshi will ever come back and post on this forum? on: September 29, 2019, 07:37:40 AM
He is real satoshi nakamoto. and he is the most historic person in this crypto in my opinion. and he doesn't want to be exposed. and said he was someone who was humble and ordinary. I myself hope he can become part of this forum again and add more features on crypto community. he is genius.
965  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin mixers be considered illegal by worldwide governments? on: September 28, 2019, 06:19:17 AM
Bitcoin mixers have a long history since they came into inception some time ago. They've been a viable alternative for people looking towards privacy within their Bitcoin transactions. While Bitcoin mixers are far from being perfect, they're still one of the best solutions for obfuscating transactions from third parties. The only concern would be that mixing services are centralized as they're provided by a middleman. In effect, this brings a single point of failure greatly defeating the purpose of privacy.

We've seen how Bestmixer got shut down by the authorities. They claim that Bestmixer encouraged money laundering activities which resulted in legal action. The truth is that Bitcoin mixers can be used for both good and bad things. Money laundering is mostly done with Fiat than with cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin or Ethereum. Still though, the perception of worldwide governments against mixers/tumblers seems to be different nowadays. Which makes me wonder whenever Bitcoin mixers will be considered illegal by such entities within the future?

If governments ban mixers/tumblers, then they could easily do the same to privacy-oriented cryptocurrencies like Monero and Grin. It's all a matter of power and control over people than anything else. What do you think about this? Huh

Bitcoin mixer is very possible for money laundering. but for someone who wants privacy for the transaction this mixer is very useful. but of course the government does not want privacy of one's transactions. whether for the benefit of the government or to prevent dirty money that can escape the government track. but certainly this mixer is not in line with the government system.
966  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Adoption! Finally? on: September 28, 2019, 06:16:07 AM
Bitcoin itself in Japan has been highly viewed and regarded as an extraordinary digital payment revolution. and with ecommerce giants in Asia, like rakuten in my opinion it is a big support for bitcoin because it's getting closer to what the purpose of bitcoin is self. to be digital payment currency.
967  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will China Accept Bitcoin As A Currency? on: September 28, 2019, 06:11:59 AM
I'm not sure it matters much if btc is ever accepted as a currency. I mean gold isn't really accepted as a currency (though it is technically defined as one), you can't go to the store and buy a load of groceries with it in any developed country.

Gold in any country is still gold. and has a value that is recognized legally in almost all countries. so compared to crypto it's actually very different. because crypto is itself a digital asset. and whether digital assets will lead the currency later? i dont think so. but the era will always change . when era of technology its dominant i believe that will happen one day is possible.
968  Economy / Economics / Re: Your Source of Investment Money? on: September 28, 2019, 06:08:12 AM

The main source of the money I invested with bitcoin comes from doing online job with a platform where we are allowed to post in many forums in exchange for some points and the those points can be converted to real money anytime.

What are the sources of the money you invested with bitcoin or cryptocurrency? Anybody here used credit cards?

Almost all of my investment came from income on internet projects or sales of digital goods services. and im only using credit cards only for purchasing goods or digital services on websites that already have high credibility. because in my opinion a credit card is a vital thing on the internet.
969  Economy / Economics / Re: How long can you endure? on: September 28, 2019, 12:33:00 AM
Everyone has their own beliefs. sometimes it is not realistic but sometimes they are faced with no choice but to hold. bitcoin is very fluctuative and people know it. easy rising easy falling. people should accept that and take action with their assets.
970  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the dangers inside cryptocurrency investing on: September 28, 2019, 12:25:30 AM
Obviously scam projects, it's our risk when investing to any platform because we didn't know if it's legit. Some people are just spending money without checking the legitimacy of any exchange or platforms. But I think it's normal to risk since it will reward you high profit too.

Learn about cryptocurrency so you'll absolutely avoid being scammed.

Many new adopters get scamming by investing or cloud mining. and there are still many people affected by things like that. Avoid unclear investments and understand the ponzi scheme. that is mostly case investment in crypto its all about. ponzi thing.
971  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can more ATM's increase adoption for Bitcoin? on: September 28, 2019, 12:21:10 AM
Not certain because bitcoin are not globally known to many people. but the ATM itself makes it easy to saving through wallet or make transactions among crypto users and withdraw their funds. but the bitcoin atm is actually already good for bringing bitcoin to the next level on currency.
972  Economy / Economics / Re: Which currency will dominate the crypto market? Please vote! on: September 28, 2019, 12:17:33 AM

Tether will only be a usd comparison to make it easier for someone trading novices in making calculations. because no doubt if only bitcoin can indeed be very complicated to understand its trading position. tether makes it easy. but to become the dominant coin market I think bitcoin will always dominate the market because bitcoin is a comparison of thousands of other altcoins.
973  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Is Still bad? JPMorgan Chase Traders Accused Of Market Manipulation on: September 28, 2019, 12:10:25 AM
When talking crypto market with the stock market is certainly very different. they trade based on the real activity of a real project that is sure to have an impact. and they are required to make a definite profit or with a large percentage to make a profit. different from crypto market. so from the way they think and crypto traders it's definitely different.
974  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if SOUTH KOREA SHUTTINGDOWN BTC??? on: September 28, 2019, 12:07:13 AM
why only south korea ?  whats so special about this country  ?  what about other countries  ? the news regarding to this , can be the reason on why the price decline but other than that there are still other reason on why the price fall but the price can fall more evenly if ever this country will decide to ban and shut down crypto exchanges  . thats bad but we cant do anything about thier decision  but anyway there is still a chance that cryptos can recover because there are still countries that didnt ban or  will not ever ban cryptos and they will only use this bad event to buy more coins  , resulting for the prices to recuperate again  .

Maybe because an crypto market exchange that has a relatively large value is in the Korean exchange. and no doubt it will have an impact on the crypto market. if you check on cmc bitcoin trading volume there is not so much different from exchanges from other countries. and also they dominate altcoin volume.
975  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BAKKT launching tomorrow but BTC price falls? on: September 28, 2019, 12:02:56 AM
If bitcoin has taught me anything is that good news don't necessarily correlate with price increase.

"Buy the rumor, sell the news".

golden and many people are still hoping for such news and ignoring the reality.

Why isn’t the official launch of BAKkT driving btc prices up but instead it’s going the opposite way?

Are investors afraid of a massive dump coming up or what are the possible reasons there isn’t any traction for BTC price ?
Many of the news's assumptions are related to the price of bitcoin, although in the end it does not affect anything at this time of the downtrend. This is why bitcoin cannot be predicted from just news. because there are many moments like this and still do not have a significant impact to crypto market.

976  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are You Doing This? on: September 27, 2019, 11:56:14 PM
I once thought about that, because my life is not healthy. I once thought what if suddenly I die in front of the computer then no one knew I had crypto assets to support them and their lives. and i think this is will be a reminder for me to tell them more about crypto include private key how they can access it.
977  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do we get the best at this moment? on: September 27, 2019, 11:49:09 PM
some people take advantage of this price with their local exchange. mostly the price difference when the downtrend after a strong uptrend the price difference that can provide benefits that are mostly taken by arbitrage traders who have access to their local exchange and have different nominal price differences. and keep doing that until price of all market stable .
978  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin fell again, what conspiracy? on: September 27, 2019, 11:46:41 PM
no wonder anymore. easy come easy go. and it has often happened and usually the price will rise again but do not know when. what many traders might do right now is, continue to buy at low prices and be active on the market chart to avoid losing the opportunity to buy at the lowest price. bitcoin is always like this and many factors are not clear what influences sudden and drastic price changes.
979  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Be careful of Bitcoins giveaways that are too good to be true on: September 27, 2019, 08:44:16 PM
Hi, recently I went to a website https://www.crypto-way .ltd (I add a space in ltd so that you won't click on this accidentally.  It offers 2X of the amount of money you send in.   I find it too suspicious and did a check on the domain name.  It was only registered a few days ago.   The British company they are suppose to be does not exist and they are hosting in a russian hosting company, making it impossible for me to contact them to feedback to them.  If anyone can speak Russian and do the feedback, that would be great as it keeps another scum away from our Bitcoin environment.
It offers 2X of the amount of money you send in
That indeed sounds very stupid. They think we will believe in such a way, but it is undeniable that there are many types of people in this world who are very easy to believe in something or are newbies who are tempted by its benefits. and not realistic. no way people give you free money if they are asking you for a money.
980  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is this why Bitcoin is crashing? on: September 27, 2019, 08:38:59 PM

  • September is typically a bad month
  • Baakkt is not doing very well
  • It’s worth noting the cryptocurrency is still up about 127% on a year-to-date basis

Thoughts?

I think bitcoin is not affected by what month it is, but to pure market activity and also if compared to last year this month is the month where bitcoin rises rapidly.
When compared to last year's profit, it is clear that bitcoin is still a profit, but for some new adopters and new holders, it is undeniable that they are panicking with their assets.

Guys - chill out. BTC is still at 8K. It's not like it dropped down to 1K.

You can't say that because those who trade here they put their money to get profit instead of losing it so it goes down to 20% from 10k I think there are some people who feel lost and panicked that price can go down again and lose the chance to buy at a lower price later.
