961  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [RADS] Radium - Bringing Advanced Utility to the Blockchain on: February 06, 2017, 10:22:18 AM
Nice price movement of RADS indicating the signs of potential growth, espiacially, if you take into account available supply, volume and marketcap.
It would be very interesting to see big volume of 500-1000 BTC and price movement under these circumstances.

962  Other / Archival / Re: Earning "free" bitcoins on: February 04, 2017, 10:52:23 AM
I'm not against faucets but nowadays it is really a waste of time instead you have a lot of referrals working for you. If you have 1000+ referrals and 3 or 4 good paying faucet sites such as freebitcoin or moonbitcoin, you can relax and easily earn 0.01 and more per month. Better option is ptp sites as it allows you to earn passively. But all depends what are you doing with your earned satoshis. If you invest them into trading or lending, you can get much more and increase your earnings in upcoming months. Compounding is very strong method to increase your holdings in BTC. So, I would say that all methods are legit but:
1. Faucets are time consuming and tiny earnings;
2. Ptc sites - free of work method but earnings are small as well;
3. Signature campaigns - you need skills, ranking and hard to work to get your payments;
4. Trading - you need knowledge how to trade successfully, strong risk management, experience and luck;
5. Investing - you must have solid capital to earn just from it passively.

To sum up, the best method for me is compounding all my monthly incomes and put them into a trade. When you will reach 3-5 BTC balance (it takes not one month), you can put them into lending and get passive income. The more you have, the more you earn  Smiley

This project have interesting idea so will support this and wish for great success. Waiting for next phase of fund raising.

I have just read an interesting analysis of Humaniq project on Smith+Crown page. It is very ambitious project to provide financial services to the undocumented and unbanked people. The upcoming app with bio identification is also very promising as many of poor people have only access to the cheap android devices. I will support this project and invite others do the same. There are many people in Africa who can benefit from this project.
If you haven't checked Smith+Crown article, here is a link to it:

964  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: UR Speculation on: February 03, 2017, 10:29:30 AM
UR might be great just that they need to really improve their wallet is still problematic, so they still need time to really ready to be a big

unsuspected now UR prices have started to rise slowly I had seen in cryptopia.co.nz Area 120 sathosi selling price and the purchase price the range of 70 sathosi but yesterday was priced at 28 sathosi / UR, amazing

I have checked UR prices on cryptopia and the 24h high reached 177 sat for 1 UR coin. I think BTC rise just pushed it back to 22 sat. Probably we can expect some pump again but volume is very thin. I was buying UR for 03-06 sat, still keeping  Smiley
It looks like the coin will be worth in the future, I will put my buy order @22 satoshi.... The demand already increases according to from their charts. I will try to bought some for my pouch.

I agree with you, it seems promising. It is a pity that I don't get a lot of UR early. As I checked it last time, UR app is under development and they will update it. They have funding and plan what to do next. Because of that I suppose that it is not only short term pump and dump project.
965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: News about XRP Ripple ? on: February 03, 2017, 10:20:31 AM
Treasury Today speaks to Daniel Aranda, Managing Director of Ripple Europe to find out how:

http://bit.ly/2jELdxx

Some people are very confused about Ripple and they spreading misunderstanding to others. Ripple is decentralized open source project like many other altcoins. Currently, they are working on improving cross-border payment system and, naturally, with banks. As many people hate banks, they also hate Ripple labs. This project is not about pump and dump scheme. They have serious goals and they are progressing step by step. But there are no guarantees that they will succeed. It depends on many factors, so you should make your own decision as to invest and hold or sell and get out of it.
966  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [POT] PotCoin Speculation on: February 02, 2017, 08:42:23 PM
now pretty much cannabis / marijuana-based coin to succeed POT, whether it will affect the price of the coin POT?
I'am await answers your opinion and speculation prices Coin Pot and development of what is being done by the developer Potcoin coin was minimal because of information obtained from the developer Potcoin.

I have small position of POT on Polo exchange. From technical chart analysis I can say you with quite certainty that it will pump. It has strong support and good volume. But to questions remain:
1. When?
2. How high?
I was lucky to get it cheap, so I'm holding but if it proves me that I was incorrect, I will close my position immediately.

About other cannabis coins/marijuana coins - who cares, we have POT on Polo and it looks promising.

968  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: February 02, 2017, 04:08:50 PM
What a movement in price today almost 100% gain. People just have started to understand what a new technology is behind Byteball and what potential it has in the future. I'm waiting for the next distribution round.
969  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Getting started investing in Altcoins on: February 02, 2017, 10:32:26 AM
My personal advice is - do not read trollbox ever. Traders are shitting everyday for their own purposes. I also do not advise you to invest $100 only in BTC because with altcoins you can make better profits. In my opinion to buy XMR and ETH was a mistake. Why? Because they done their run up and now just sitting high, going sideways. I suggest to you to buy altcoins only out of top 10 marketcap. By doing so you can get huge profits of 100, 200, 500 or even 1000%! Just look at fundamentals of the project, market capitalization and potential growth. Calculate everything, fill your bag and wait for a pump. After it comes, sell out and take your profits. This is how it works  Smiley
970  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: February 02, 2017, 10:18:31 AM

So far, no exchange has told me that they have any issues with the undistributed coins.

Have you had any communication about listing ByteBall with either Bittrex or Poloniex?

I think tony supports appropriate efforts of the community passively (that is not his priority  Wink):
The current target is to establish and develop the technology and spread it as widely as possible - for now the distribution does this very well (I expect 50% growth  Smiley).
If the possibilities of the distribution model are exhausted (slowed growth ) it is possible to generate further attention at more / other exchanges.
After this maybe it’s good to enter bigger exchanges (aka Polo).
After that it’s time to leave Cryptovillage (direction real world)
..with flowing transitions..

A euphoric firework or a flash in the pan (aka Polo effect) are currently simply not helpful.
Trader are not interested to provide a technology they don’t touch the wallet, they don’t watch a white paper, they only watch to the chart..
Through the trade generate attention is in my opinion, little efficient (to establish a technology), but above all not sustainable.
If you set this option too early negative effects.

To make that clear:
I have absolutely nothing against traders (I vote for every exchange that is posted here)- obsessive traders have their place in the ecosystem.
But you have to know how to use them properly. For developing the coin they are means to an end not an end (they are only an intermediary).

The trolls can make a nice noise and arrange a firework that you can still hear / see in the real world  Grin.
But their zeal can also lead to severe and toxic side effects.

conclusion
The goal is to bring Byteball into a stable orbital orbit. This requires a multi-stage rocket with a lot of thrust.
Time is not the problem - a good idea is not made worse by patience - it behaves like wine.

I don't think that listing on big exchanges (as Polo and Bittrex) is the first on to do list. Byteball is a revolutionary technology currently surpassing Bitcoin. I expect growing use cases of Byteball. It could help people to understand the potential and advantages of a new technology and adopt it.
971  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Cryptocurrency's killer app: disrupting web ads via RaiBlocks micropayments on: February 02, 2017, 09:55:41 AM
in the plans of the developer is  adding the exchange in wallet? Smiley   exchange forum carries a certain risk. Exchange is not showing interest in coin  Sad

Yes, because exchanges are showing interest in most of shitcoin clones and not in legit projects. But I'm sure RaiBlocks will find its niche in the future. BTC is struggling with blocksize issue, it is centralized and only manipulation drives price up.
972  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could BTC ever become fast enough to function as a single world currency? on: February 02, 2017, 09:48:58 AM
It will never happen because of political and economic issues. Do you think governements and central banks wish to accept currency they can't control? Or do you think that price manipulation and everyday speculation with high volatility rate is good for humans? Who wants to depend solely on market manipulation? Chinese speculators are still in control of BTC price. They can drive it up or just dump it. So, I can't imagine Bitcoin functioning as a stable world currency. I know that most libertarian people don't like criticism towards BTC but it is centralized, slow, controversial and energy consuming. BTC still cannot fix problems it was created for and the only purpose now is market speculation. Traders are making $ and it is the only reason why they need BTC. Of course things can change in the future but now it is not even close for BTC to function as a single world currency.
973  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Positive news from Ripple (XRP) on: February 01, 2017, 01:56:27 PM
Hi Arvydas77,

I don't really know how long you been on this forum though I do remember that ripple was one of the coins that most of the members here didn't like. I think it is because there was a huge pre-mine and people was just afraid of the pumps and dumps from the dev's.

I think they still have the pre-mine so I would be careful of investing any money into their "Project" -only a few people could realize the potential of XRP though if they see what the Ripple dev's are trying to do.

Now if the Ripple [XRP] dev's gave away all their pre-mine and let the project continue like how it is right now then XRP will get really huge. The people at Ripple like messing with the Blockchain so that is why Banks and big businesses like the Ripple Project so much. Asia is going to get to know how to process Digital Currency payments much faster than places like America, Russia and Turkey it seems.

This could be quite fun.

Hi, I invested in BTC four years ago and Ripple was my second pick up alongside other altcoins, so I do know how people hate Ripple  Smiley
Premine always has negative impact on crypto as people not always can understand situation correctly. In Ripple premine is idispensable to run business. However, I can understand libertarian position against big corporations, banks and Ripple Labs itself. Nevertheless, traders are especially sensitive to premine as they only speculate and some additional coins on the market can destroy their speculations.
I think that Ripple is very solid project. It has funding, partnerships, working technology, Labs to test blockchain. They are hiring new staff members to move forward. So, my opinion about Ripple is very positive. I'm not trying to convince newbies to invest in the project but I'm with Ripple for long time and I will stay. As I said in other Ripple thread, I'm not the one who is shouting Ripple to the moon. Actually, value around $0.01 is solid considering max supply.
974  Other / Off-topic / Re: How are you earning BTC? on: February 01, 2017, 12:07:53 PM
Anyone here mining altcoins? It's a good passive income if you have cheap power

From my experience I can tell you that mining altcoins is much profitable. I'm also using Nicehash tol sell my hashing power. It is still profitable and you even can make living on it. I'm also experimenting with HDD mining, sharing my hard drive space for profit but I'm not selling coins I have earned. I think that Storj, Sia and Maid have potential to go up x10 and more. So, I'm mining and keeping all the coins for future profit.
975  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Positive news from Ripple (XRP) on: February 01, 2017, 10:43:30 AM
Today National Bank of Abu Dhabi has introduced real-time cross-border payments on a blockchain by integrating technology from industry firm Ripple. The offering will immediately benefit the Asia-Middle East remittance corridor.

It is a positive news from Ripple as their technology could benefit banking system. Bank of Abu Dhabi is:

Quote
the largest lender bank in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi with assets of $178 billion, the NBAD is also the second largest lender in the United Arab Emirates and the largest by market cap among all UAE banks. Its footprint in a number of major Asian remittance markets including China and India could see a telling impact in the wider banking industry, one that could fast-track adoption of blockchain technology for core commercial offerings like payments for users.

Please share your opinion here about it. Does it benefit further blockchain technology adoption in finance industry? Does Ripple will benefit from this integration?
How the market will react to the news?

I'm waiting for wallet update because mine is constantly crashing when I'm trying to open it first time. However, sending and receiving mrai works perfectly. After some improvments it would be very good project. Keep claiming, folks  Smiley
How can you send if it's crashing at startup?

After I start application again (second time) it works well. It just not opens first time. I need to close it via task manager. Maybe problem lies in my PC.
977  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbie wants to create new altcoin on: February 01, 2017, 10:10:54 AM
with just a basic ideas of moving some characters in unity engine C#. no idea of compilers source code github and other complex process. I want to start a new community coin. I dont need to register in exchange market.

I am from India, North east of india where most of the population has no idea what bitcoin is. So i want to introduce a digital currency. a community backed altcoin.

what do i do ?

i have tried compiling bitcoind , the tutorial in this forum got stuck with boost++ installation.

dont want to use some online make your own currency websites

I do not recommend you to create another new altcoin that is not technically different from other altcoins. We have Bitcoin and hundreds of altcoins. We do not need new altcoins. What we need is revolutionary technology, ideas that can improve human life and current culture, politics and economics. You can just introduce people to Bitcoin and start build community on it. Or you can choose other altcoin and introduce it to your community. That's my opinion.

Good luck!

979  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Storj - Decentralized Storage on: January 31, 2017, 08:29:03 PM
i try this shit and not get payment scam!!!

You are crazy, man. It is very solid project and it pays every month for your rented storage space.

Updated Storj Payout Formula:

Quote
Some things to note are:
There are no rewards for storing less than 1 GB for the month.
However, if a user has telemetry reports, exchange reports, or downloads they may still receive a reward.
There are no rewards if a user has not been seen in the past week.
Each component (gigabyte hours, telemetry reports, and downloaded bytes) is scaled so that each metric ends up being a measurement of how far away users are from the mean. Those values are multiplied by certain weights and summed to arrive at a final value.

We hope this will make rewards better, transparent, and more fair for a larger number of our supporters. We will continue to streamline the formula as we progress and more farmers join the Storj network.

If you have any questions, you should join Storj community chat: https://community.storj.io
