Be ware though as tennis is one of the most unpredictable sports regarding betting,I have lost a ton of bets with odds 1.10-1.15 which were supposed to be almost sure wins,I have quit sport betting from some time now and I feel no regrets,I only enjoy slot machines now.
I've tried to multibet on low odds matches where I'm pretty sure I'll win but that's not a guarantee, betting at low odds is still very likely to lose. And it's very possible to lose bigger because use bigger funds to get bigger results. All sports matches are difficult to predict, the same as slot games which are also difficult to guess what the multiplier will be, but it is always tempting for us to play.

In general yes, but I think football games are more unpredictable than for example F1. Last year on 22 races only in 4 the winner was someone outside of Verstappen/Hamilton pair. Season 2020 was shorter, 17 races only, Hamilton won 11 times. I wonder if this year bets on Leclerc/Verstappen pair will be profitable.
For the bets like tennis tournament it is a more difficult because event takes more time, different things may happen - health issues, weather changes etc.
982  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Create a seed from a selection of words on: May 27, 2022, 08:35:39 AM
I would like to know if there is a possibility to create a 12 or 24 digit seed from a selection of words and not the whole 2048 words.

Unusual use case, but you may try to play with my program lostwords : https://github.com/PawelGorny/lostword

You are probably interested in the feature PRINT_SEEDS, where you may provide the list of words you want to use (or '?' for all the words) and then select the seed you like.

because i want to try to recover a wallet for which i know the words but not the order of the words. I'm actually also missing a word, that is, the tool should be such that I can say these 23 words must definitely occur. The last word can be used from the 2048.

now we talk about something different, worker PERMUTATION. But with 24 words it a very difficult task.

I never bet anymore on an odd below 1.6 as I have lost too many of these bets. Especially women tennis is very risky and there is no value to place bets on Swiatek to win with an odd of 1.3. How many surprising winners haven't we had on the women side the last couple of years for the grandslams?

Yes, I understand, 1.3 is not tempting, but as Halep and Ostapenko are out, I placed again some serious bet for Swiatek. Soon we will see if I was too optimistic.
There could be of course a trap of looking at the leader only and someone else could have a day of life, but I cross my fingers for her.
984  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: VPN is important against hackers on: May 26, 2022, 06:06:29 PM
Bitcointalk suffered many hacks already because it seems to be based on an outdated layout from when Bitcoin was launched by Satoshi. Satoshi created Bitcointalk himself.
Of course, a VPN was a good option for signing up and it will improve our security A LOT.

I'm not a coder but I can recommend a VPN for internet, like Bitcointalk.

Wait.
Could you provide a list of Bitcointalk attacks? The data leaked?
How is it related to "outdated layout"?
How using VPN (I guess you are talking about hiding your real IP) could help in avoiding leaks?

They have a very clear policy of IP storing, they clearly wrote when IP is removed from database etc. Of course you may use IP, but in my opinion IP is not a very valuable data for people who steal some forums or websites user databases. Emails, passwords, addresses if provided - yes, but IP?

The odds on Swiatek are very low and if you are pretty sure she will win the French Open this time then this is the right time to place a bet on her because you will get a weight time multiplier benefit which is still quite high right now. For men's, Djokovic is my favourite but I will wait untuk quarterfinals to place a bet.

Yes, I have placed my bet on her. Not much, but if everything goes well, there will be still some gain. I would like to buy some more tokens to lick them.

Predictions for BTC and ETH for this month are over. So lets get it started.
How many of you guys have placed your bets in the bitcoin and ethereum price predictions this month.

For BTC I placed bets for 2 ranges around <30k<, I think we will stay in that range for some weeks. I do not have really any idea what may change. Bears' days. BTW maybe it is a time to accumulate. BTC $30k, FUN 30 sat...

I believe that Monaco will be the race where Ferrari finally gets another win. Because, they have been amazing on qualifiers so far, Red Bull haven't been on pole this season as much as they would like to, I do not know if they ever reached there at all, but if so, not frequently.

I have decided not to bet for Monaco. It is a very specific race, qualifications may decide about the final result... If I would bet, it would be Leclerc that time, but as I said - I prefer to wait for a normal track, not a street race.

They seem to be running under EU law for several years already and the main reason why I became interested in their service is very cheap withdrawal to own cold storage. I think at the end it makes the whole process much cheaper comparing to using big exchange (even if commission fee is slightly bigger). And the full process is automated, you only need to tell your bank to make regular transfers - buying and withdrawal does not need your actions.

Although, in theory it can be done but we can not know whether the company that launches and mints a stable coin actually have enough fiat currency reserve in order to back their stable coin they mint and provide in the market.

In theory stablecoin is not impacted by crypto market fluctuations (from crypto-coins) and should always keep some value. The main benefit is that using stable coins limits number of "exchange points" crypto<->fiat. But comparing to fiat, stablecoin is backed by assurances from twitter and facebook. And they bring other benefits, like higher interest ratio from savings etc. The problem is that there always must be the cost for end-user (and profit for "producer"). Stablecoin is never exchanged 1=1, it is always something like 1=0.99. And all that small details brings profit to someone.

Changing the subject - what about betting for tennis, Roland Garros?
One dominant woman player, Iga Swiatek, with odds which are almost discouraging (1.3), but it does not look like anyone else could be a clear winner.
With men players situation is a bit different, 2.17 for Djokovic others are not so far.

On the womens side I was hoping to put an in-play bet on Swiatek but she demolished Tsurenko
6-2 and 6-0. She was in control from start to finish. There really isnt anyone who can trouble her
and few chances to make a bet on her other than going on a handicap.

It seems Swiatek is 99% sure winner this year. Odds are almost discouraging to bet on her. Let's see how it will be against Riske (43rd). She has never passed the 2nd round and the most probably she will not defeat Swiatek.

On the other hand, Polish fans are also interested in today's Hurkacz-Cecchinato.

When a supposed Stablecoin goes down like (USDT) or (BUSD) or (USDC) .... investor confidence takes a huge knock, because investors see Stablecoins as a safer investment option. They know that the other Alt coins are very speculative and the price volatility give them an opportunity to make huge profits.

Now, we saw one of the Stablecoin showing that it is not that stable and possibly not a safe investment option... and that is what is hurting Bitcoin at the moment. (You cannot say a Stablecoin is backed by something stable.... and then have an almost total collapse of the price)  Roll Eyes

In this case... the people behind the Stable coin started to dump their bitcoins to show that it was backed by backup reserves, but the confidence was already broken and the over supply of these dumped bitcoins pushed down the price.    Angry

Yes, I know the story - but at the end remember that so called "Stablecoins" are just a "coins" or "tokes" or however you want to call them, distributed by private entities. You also may claim you may distribute Kakmaks's dollar or pound or yen, call it KYEN and tell people that it is backed by enough amount of gold, oil or tacos so they do not need to worry.
One year ago there were similar controversy/doubts about TETHER, no?

Luna "did" impacted bitcoin and all other coins because they had a reserve for their UST which consisted of many different coins but mainly the stable ones and bitcoin, when it crashed they got out of everything all at once and tried to recover, which caused bitcoin to drop. Would that impact the future as well? I do not know, but it could definitely stall it.

You are right - their team had influence on bitcoin price. BUT I think we should remember that LUNA and other altcoins used for speculation has different target group than pure Bitcoin holders. In that sense, if one altcoin goes up or down or is revealed as a scam or whatever, it does not really destroy believe in BTC. It could of course damage it a little (people may start having doubts), but I am pretty sure that BTC is a different league.

Every week, 10 lucky FreeBitco.in users win a share of $7,500 in BTC through the Weekly Lottery.

These are the TEN LUCKY WINNERS from last week (Round 364) that took home the prizes.

Ha! This time no lucky winners with 50 tickets only Wink
But on other hand - not a real whales - no one one the list had more than 10k tickets.
Recently my WOFs brings me a lot of tickets, but honestly speaking I did not check how many I had for that turn of lottery - this week I will take a look. Today, just after today's & yesterday's WOFs I have 450 + some from rolls.

I think the price range between $25k to $30k and $30k to $32.5k are the ones where the btc prices will end for this month, and I don’t expect btc prices to breach $25k levels this month. Furthermore if some positive news comes then only will we see some upward movements in btc prices, but with so much volatility in the crypto market I believe that it’s prices won’t exceed the $32.5k range at the month end.

I have placed my final bets for that month, balanced between 25-30 and 30-32. As you wrote, I do not expect it will go below 25 and I do not have any big hope for serious gain, over 32.5. It would mean 10% gain in one week, looking at the previous weeks I do not think we will see that king of movement.
LUNA maybe maybe had (or will have) an impact on how people look at BTC, but honestly speaking I am not sure if it will affect BTC in a negative way. At the end LUNA was one of thousands altcoins used (almost purely) for speculation, while BTC is more like a solid rock.

I don't use it, but looking from the interface, it's a custodial exchange and offer Bitcoin investment. They also ask you KYC too, it's not good if you're have privacy concern.

I do not have problems with KYC in this case, as they provide an invoice and I may use it as a proper "investment", with all the papers for tax declaration in the future etc.

Also I don't understand what the relation between DAI and this sites?
My mistake, I was thinking about DCA, Dollar cost averaging. I do not know why I typed DAI. I have edited OP.

Hello

Recently someone told me about https://stackinsat.com/ as a good solution for DCA? Is anyone using that? They say they take only 1.5% commission, I do not know what are withdrawal fees but I was told it is much lower that usual fee for withdrawal from exchanges.
I strongly consider using them (SEPA is for free and it is just a matter of weekly/monthly transfer from bank) but I wonder if you heard about it and have any opinion.
