hi and gratz for the pool... i hav a problem with the pool. i start mining with this command cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://pool1.us.multipool.us:7777 -u napoleon2121.1 -p 1 --lookup-gap 2 --expiry 10 --scan-time 5 --queue 2 --shaders 2048 --thread-concurrency 8192 -I 13 -g 2 -w 256 --auto-fan --gpu-fan 65-85,90-100 --gpu-engine 970,800 --gpu-memclock 1620,1450 --temp-target 74,70 --temp-cutoff 80,78 everything goes good and sometime in the day it sais. stratum lost 0 shares. and the cgminer crasses. any ideas  ty in advance Try cgminer 3.3.1 and see if you still get the crashes. |

Using the auto sell at cryptsy is driving the price of coins lower, I did advise people to look at this option but now I think it is a bad idea.
I don't think Middlecoin sells at the highest bid price, I think the pool OP sells coins at a percentage above that, which is at least going to raise the price and not bottom out coins. I know the BTC price has been rising and so the price of alts has dropped, but surely miners should have some say in the price they are selling their goods at and not just sell it to the highest bidder no matter the price. If everyone keeps dumping their coins this way, there aren't going to be many profitable coins left to dig for surely.
I'm pretty sure Middlecoin does sell at the highest bid price. h2o isn't in the speculation business. He needs to sell the coins to payout his users and he can't really risk the price dropping lower. And yes, the site was down, I think I found the last of the connection leaks so hopefully we should be good now. I did limit the number of connections the web server can use so that it can't impact the mining or the block calculations/payouts (i.e. the important stuff) |

CAP is disabled at cryptsy
They appear to have gotten most of the issues sorted out with the new client which is pending release (1.5.0). Once that is released and the network appears stable, I will activate CAP on the mutliport. But not until it's back on Cryptsy. Anyone know when the new CAP client will be out? If someone could point me to a thread on its development that would be greatly appreciated. The dev thinks he fixed all the issues but he's not sure, he said he'd wait 48 hours and then release the client. It's a hard fork, so he doesn't want to release it and then have problems happen again. |

Mt.Gox doesn't owe anyone the ability to sell BTC for fiat cash. If someone bought BTC then that's their decision to invest in that asset.
I respectfully disagree with the quote above, a BTC exchange MUST have both the option to buy BTC with fiat AND to sell BTC for fiat. If on one side there is an in-balance/delay, then it is not a proper exchange, and in the "real" financial world this would mean they would be out of business in not more than 3 days. And this is what I believe is going to happen with Mt.Gox (but I don't mean in 3 days). But I really hope I am wrong and this is not going to happen, but I am already OUT of Mt. Gox, impossible to do serious work with Mt.Gox as a partner. But I do agree with the other part of the post of the same author, about cancelling Mt.Gox fiat withdrawals, buying BTC, holding them in an offline wallet or transferring them to another exchange for fiat withdrawal. Yes, I considered editing that line out knowing someone would call me on it reasoning exactly as you did. I left it in because Mt.Gox does still allow the exchange of BTC for fiat. That's not the part of the process that broke. Moving that fiat via certain channels is where the problem arose. Or so they claim. We'll find out the truth eventually. |

By your definitions of broken, everything in my house is broken. Nothing works as expected. But it all works.
My computer crashes loading some webpages, my toaster doesn't cook evenly, my dog runs in circles, the AC only cools down to 78F in the summer, the cable TV digitally breaks-up once in a while, the car I drive only gets 23MPG instead of the 28MPG it said, oh and I paid for all those... How much did you pay the developers for the bottlecaps program?

On behalf of all of us, eg. the early adopters and enthusiasts of the coins you rape and plunder, please allow me this opportunity to say.. YOU SUCK. Pools such as these are 51% attack machines in the making. They should be banned. Nothin personal.  Any scrypt pool with more than 20MH is a 51% attack on most of the smaller coins without PoS. As far as coins with bad difficulty algorithms, blame your devs, not us. You chose... poorly. |

Yeaah a lot going wrong here... last found block was a FTC block 4 hours and 45 minutes ago... nothing since then has shown or credited...
The multiport hasn't been on FTC for about that amount of time.. That's the last block of anything the website is showing. Yeah, the site stopped counting blocks found in multiple coins for the last 7.5+ hours. Not my bug this time! (At least, not a recent one..)  But it was fixed this morning. |

Is it just me or are coins missing from people's accounts? I swear I should have more but can't prove it as I don't follow miners that closely, and in fact, I COULDN'T follow them for like 24 hours because the front-end was down. Maybe wait a week until things are going ok before adding a mandatory fee? I have always donated 1% anyway so not like I'm being greedy (I only make .007 BTC per day.)
Balances shuold be correct, as long as you did not try to "cash out" a third time after already receiving a double payment. If this happened, it's possible that you didn't get the right credit back. I'm willing to work with anyone who thinks their balances are off to make sure they're right. Please contact me directly. |

Ok, what's going on? CGB, MEC, LKY, WDC and MNC all showing negative balance, but I can only see ONE double payment in my wallet for LKY, NONE of the others were double paid out, but I still have negative balances.

We're currently mining NVC because the pool reports an exchange rate of 0.038. That's strange, since NVC trades at about 0.032 on BTC-E and Cryptsy.
Do you happen to factor in the bid price on Coins-E? NVC/BTC is currently disabled there and it shows a bid price of 0.065...

OK, all double paid transactions have been subtracted from account balances, and all pending withdrawals have been credited back to your balance . If you check your account details page, you should see the coins back in your account, and a 'pending' next to the currency for which you have requested a withdrawal, rather than the normal 'Cash Out' button.
Pending withdrawals will be sent out on the next auto pay run. That will happen when I'm satisfied the script is working properly. Hopefully within the hour.
If your balance looks off, please contact me.

Requested a bunch of payouts. Nothing showing up 30 mins later. Are they being processed?
Once Flound said the new payment system was up I did the same thing. Some of my coins went through (LKY/WDC/NVC) Others haven't shown up, are no longer on my account balances, and do not show up on the Account Details page (FTC/MNC/CGB/DGC) Any idea what is going on? Are they just stuck on the website until payouts are fixed? Yes, they are stuck in a pending transactions table, I will process those manually later, as soon as I fix auto withdraw. |

Either I am getting double paid on WDC or by coincidence I am being paid out the exact same amount twice in a row. The thing that really makes it look like a double payment is that my auto payout amount is half of what these payments are. I know the auto payout was not running earlier but I haven't seen what all was being mined all day to know if I mined these coins or not.
EDIT: Flound you need to stop your auto payouts ASAP I just got double paid on LKY!
Yeah I'm aware. Payouts are currently hosed. Should be fixed by tonight. I did run the auto payouts using the "good" script before mucking around with my dumb "flounderized" version, so only a few doubles went out. don't worry, I'll be deducting the double payouts from your balances. (Please don't try sending them back). |
