982  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Cryptocurrency's killer app: disrupting web ads via RaiBlocks micropayments on: January 31, 2017, 03:34:52 PM
I was tracking this project long time ago but the faucet was closed. Now you are back, great news. I was waiting for RaiBlocks to continue as this project is very promising. Keep on claiming  Smiley
983  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][INCNT] Incent Loyalty | Waves CAT | $1.1m raised | Roll-out Q1 2017 on: January 31, 2017, 01:50:06 PM
i want mined this coin but how?

It's a token, not mineable.

You can buy/sell here: https://bitshares.openledger.info/#/market/OPEN.INCNT_OPEN.BTC

I think we need more an exchange to trading of Incent
bitshares is not enough and it is better to put at bittrex, c-cex or other exchanges.

Why we need this? You will be able to trade INCNT tokens on the coming Waves exchange. As I understand the idea of Sasha is to compete with major centralized exchanges, so we do not need any listings on centralized ones but to wait until Waves exchange will function properly. I'm just holding and do not care about the exchanges.
984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nexus - Pure SHA3 + CPU/GPU + nPoS + 15 Active Innovations + More to Come on: January 31, 2017, 01:29:28 PM
I have came accross the Nexus project looking for a new cryptocurrencies to mine. I read this blog about "Decentralized Dictatorship": https://medium.com/@colincantrell/block-chain-decentralize-decentralization-318bbf355fa0#.8htrrc62b and I agree with the authors point of view:

Quote
It will rise from "Decentralized Dictatorship", and it will become a "Decentralized Democracy" that is embedded in greater than contracts on a cryptographic chain, decentralized applications, or even block chain innovations.

I have asimilar feeling that decentralized projects, such as Ethereum and many others including Bitcoin, evolved to "decentralized dictatorship". So, we need to think about the purpose of decentralization again and "decentralize the decentralization" or democratize it, if you like.

I'm joining Nexus to help to achieve it.
985  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AMP - The Currency That Powers Your Attention On Synereo on: January 31, 2017, 01:03:43 PM
I had a deep feeling that things could go similar to Synereo controversy just before the crowdfunding campaign has started on BnK. Where are we now? Back to the start with only project - social platform - that has very obscure future as many social media based projects are going on the scene with bigger potential.
986  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔶 YOLOdice.com 🔶 FAST bets, chat, quick deposits, 5 BTC max profit, JOIN NOW! on: January 31, 2017, 11:41:48 AM
I have just registered on your dice site and would like to invest some BTC. I'm not sure why but I see only investment option with leverage but I do not want it. How can I remove this function?
Can I lose my investment at all if site profits are shrinking?

After looking at the profit, i also get interested to invest in yolodice but leverage option is making quite confusion here in the investors faq.  Roll Eyes
https://yolodice.com/#faq/investing

Hi,

simply use leverage=1, which means you are NOT using any leverage. This is the safest investment the site offers. I will later look at UI and try to make it less confusing.

Cheers,
Ethan

Great, thank you! Now it is not confusing.
987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: January 31, 2017, 11:40:35 AM
I want to share some of my point of view about Ripple (XRP). I liked this coin from the very start I discovered cryptocurrencies. It was one of the real use project silently doing their job. I appreciate why people are hating Ripple. Because of pre-mine, relations with banks, AML/KYC appliance etc. But they do not understand that any state and financial institution isn't willing to lose their control and give all the credits to the mysterious network, mathematical alghoritm etc. Libertarian dreams are not mundane facts. If Bitcoin is revolution in world currency, Ripple is a revolution in a payment system. Just take a look how current payment system works. It takes 2-4 business days to transfer money from USA to Europe and vice versa. It is old and do not apply to the needs of 21st century business. Cross-border payments are in need and such a projects as Ripple could benefit. Interledger is an option but I do not insist that many financial institutions will adopt it. Ripple Labs raised money and they are doing their job. They have enough funds and intelectual force to reach their goals. I do not care that the price is low. I know that it will rise if project succeeds. Certainly they can fail but despite that Ripple is doing somewhat that financial world system lacks today.
Regarding the price I do not expect it goes to the moon. It could swing around the 0.01 cent and stabilize there. Having in mind the max supply of 100,000,000,000 XRP the whole market cap could reach  $1 000 000 000 much lower than Bitcoin has and around the ETH market cap in the future.

989  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [RADS] Radium - Bringing Advanced Utility to the Blockchain on: January 30, 2017, 08:53:26 PM
Radium is silently sleeping gem in crypto to be discovered in 2017. Just take a look at charts and you'll see how easy price can top.  Even in 2016 Radium was doing well and if the volume spreads out, the price will rise up exponentially.
990  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] NeuCoin - Easy to use, free to try, focused on micropayments - Official on: January 30, 2017, 08:37:05 PM
I remember I have spotted this project last year around the Easter time. My opinion was very good about it and I bought some Neucoins, left in my wallet for staking and now I see that this coin is almost dead. Probably restructuring the project will help to survive and attract new customers. The conception was good and I still think that NeuCoin can find its niche in a whole cryptocurrency ecosystem.

I tend to agree, it's so much better than a lot of those pump and dump coins without any concept at all except "I'd like to rip off those who are gullible enough to buy my coins". With the end of NeuCoin in Bittrex, I have transferred my coins to PoSWallet for staking and that's that. I still think there will be some kind of future for Neu. Call it hopeful thinking. Cheesy

I tend to disagree, since all what they've done was to collect ICO-money and then the plan was to make a get-rich-quick-scheme out of staking their high majority of Coins in this monster-inflation-crap-design. Besides their laziness on development side that's the major reason what burned everbody who touched this. I mean, take a look at the chart. It went from about 5000 sat to 1 sat. Just because there never was a pump it doesn't mean that ongoing dumping is better in any way.

Mostly, I should agree with you. When I found this project there were not so much social media based blockchain cryptos but today the situation is different. We have Steem, Decent, LBRY, Akasha is approaching and legendary Reddcoin rewards its community. I think that Alexandria is also under development and could surprise us. Also, as I remember, Synereo (after the controversy) continues development of its social platform project.

Why I have a feeling that we can see a déjà-vu of DeClouds scam? There is no information about the project developers, no video, no twitter or linkedin profile links but a lot of talk here and on slack. Guys, if you are serious show yourself do an interview or short video. Otherwise, it is impossible to believe that this project is legit and not a DeClouds style scam.

I still really don't understand how Decloud was able to pull that off and be able to raise 200BTC, my bad, I let emotion get in the way of my reasoning. I doubt Ascendancy is a scam. Lupin will not be the campaign manager if he is not sure they are real.

I do not insist that Ascendancy is a scam but I'm asking for additional proof. Story with DeClouds was very similar, as I remember. Because of that I want to be assure that Ascendancy project is different and legit.

Hello, Arvydas77!

We're using three escrows (Yahoo62278,minerjones and Lauda). As far as I know, DeCloud didn't use any escrow.

I'm the hired Project Manager at Ascendancy and both my Twitter accounts are public.
For more information about the Founders (Andrew Penn and Richard Aldridge), you can read this document.

Sincerely,
Axel Karlsson

Thank you, but this document neither tells us much about the team, nor we have seen real people who are leading this project. I know that anonymity is good in transactions but it is not good when you are presenting a project to a public and raising funds. It is difficult to treat this project legit as we have only vague information. I really suggest you to have a talk on youtube channel and do not hide in Slack. This place is good when project is finished but now people want proof and legitimacy.

As I know escrow from bitcointalk members means mostly nothing.

994  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Mass Adoption even possible.. on: January 30, 2017, 03:06:59 PM
As a transactional currency, it has no chance unless we can reach consensus on a scaling path.  3 transactions per second is a joke.

As an investment, all we need is for the SEC to get out of the way and allow ETFs and options on those ETFs.  That will give bitcoin the liquidity it needs to be taken seriously by the people who have enough capital to take us to the next order of magnitude.  It will also make bitcoin available as an investment vehicle to anyone with a brokerage account or self directed IRA.

That is exactly my point of view. Until scaling issue is unresolved Bitcoin denomination as a world currency sounds like a joke. However, we all understand that any mistake determined by rush could destroy a whole ecosystem. So, I expect changes in the future but very measured. Bitcoin developers are flagmans of all crypto community. They know what they do and understand their responsability. Debates on development are normal issues and I think it will contribute to the best of it.

As about investment, I agree that ETFs will give liquidity and serious treatment from the investors side.
995  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: which new altcoins are undervalued right now?.. on: January 30, 2017, 02:52:31 PM
None.  Even most coins valued at one satoshi are overvalued.   You people need to stop biting this same old hook, you're going to lose every time.  Buy bitcoin, forget all this other crap.

You're wrong and I don't agree with you. Yes, Bitcoin has first movers advantage but it has many technological disadvantages in contrast to some altcoins - scalability, privacy, exhaustive and eco unfriendly mining equipment, it is partly centralized and adoption is on very slow scale - to name a few. Secondly, you can profit from altcoins (if you choose right) only investing 50 or 100 USD. It is impossible to get 100% and more returns investing only in Bitcoin small amounts of money in short term.
996  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: which new altcoins are undervalued right now?.. on: January 30, 2017, 02:43:51 PM
In my opinion Byteball and Waves are ones you should take a look more closely. Byteball implements revolutionary technology that doesn't use blockchain and removes Bitcoin scalability limits. Waves token is like a "Paypal" on the blockchain but much better and decentralized. FCT, GAME, STRAT, XRP and MAID all present good investment opportunities for long term. I'm also closely looking at GNT and 1ST. Speaking about very new altcoins I'm very bullish on Decent and Wings listings.
997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why I'm Long on Reddcoin on: January 30, 2017, 01:04:42 PM
I'm also an early supporter of Reddcoin. There was a lot of hype that huge social media platforms, such as Facebook, Youtube, Twitter etc., will integrate Reddcoins for tipping and many people jumped in. Unfortunately, they were impatient and run out. But the project still continues its advancement and with the introduction of Redd ID I expect to see more users coming in. As I know, new wallets are in development and site is also under rebuilding. So, there are a lot of room for future growth.
998  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Declarative smart contracts in Byteball on: January 30, 2017, 12:50:04 PM
In my opinion, Byteball is one of the most revolutionary projects after Bitcoin was launched. It solves Bitcoin scalability limits and gives many advantages to Byteball users. I hope to see more use cases with Byteball in the future but start is really promising.

1000  Economy / Economics / Re: News From Switzerland on: January 30, 2017, 12:03:30 PM
Importent news from Swizerland, maybe you will say nothing at all,but first step to establish crypto bank has been done http://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-xapo-swiss-finance-regulator/

It is far from crypto bank but I think it is a positive step towards a legal recognition. It seems that political and economic climate in Swiss is positive towards Bitcoin acceptance. If I'm not wrong you can pay bills with Bitcoin in some of Swiss municipalities? We'll see what happens next, as it is stated in the article that:

Code:
The approval isn’t final, however, as Xapo said the regulator wants to see it join a self-regulatory organization (SRO), among other steps.
