981  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading not a get rich quick on: April 30, 2023, 05:33:15 PM
Definitely, a risky thing to do, especially if it's not your money to spend on. You need to make something happen if you are going to invest somebody else's money; that will be a heavy responsibility if you manage that always.

That's only three years? That money could be somebody's life savings and be worth a lot more.
It's like $1.6M per year for stealing money.
$5M/3 years = $1.66M per year

I don't think the people affected would be satisfied with that.
982  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Market Maker Action Analyzer on: April 30, 2023, 06:27:19 AM
You know that Market Makers are used to creating volume and not necessarily making profits, right? You can do this and cannot always make profits because of the possible fees you will get. You can only have assurance sometimes, then if you are put into the wrong position, you will lose money for that.

Saying that you can profit consistently is a red flag. Careful.
983  Economy / Speculation / Re: The power of Bitcoin in global world on: April 29, 2023, 03:32:31 PM
You know Bitcoin is the start of everything in the cryptocurrency world, right? If having 0.06 BTC is enough, everyone who started here would definitely have changed their lives for the better. I do hope that it would be enough for the world, at least to have that is already enough to live better. If that happens, remember where you started.
984  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: After HongKong, it is time for Taiwan on: April 28, 2023, 02:03:30 PM
I think this is just the start and many traditional banks will follow. Imagine the people who predict that Bitcoin is going to $100,000. A recent announcement came from a traditional bank and they are famous and with their statement, a lot of people probably have managed to buy and really believed in that idea. I do hope that it can come to fruition and continue to have that kind of power and backing from everyone. A lot of people would be rich just by holding BTC as well.
985  Economy / Economics / Re: What class of an investor are you? on: April 28, 2023, 09:19:49 AM
I believe that I'm the type of investor that is a research investor. I make sure that I'm doing the right thing by knowing what I am investing in. It's going to still be a risk but at least I have convinced myself that it's going to be an ideal position for someone looking to invest. It's better to know what is going on rather than nothing at all.

I don't think that Ponzi Scheme investors are worth it, they are just losing money if they aren't able to let people buy their "products" and they are just going to lose their investments faster.
986  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: April 28, 2023, 07:39:16 AM
That kind of mindset is going to be harmful to anyone and make sure that he will continue with what he wants. He is only thinking of himself, and no matter what he does, it's only rooted in one thing: gambling. It's essential to control yourself and not attach yourself to it so you wouldn't think of despicable ways to continue it. That is mad.
987  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investment in bitcoin on: April 27, 2023, 06:28:05 AM
Expand the income or buy to have the "possible increase" in value in assets? It allows you to add the possibility of earning more instead of just holding fiat. You are probably talking about those early investors and believers of Bitcoin that became Big because of holding Bitcoin in the first place. I think it has more potential than we have now; we have to wait.
988  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gas station payment with bitcoin. on: April 25, 2023, 03:47:54 PM
Is your government pretty lenient with using cryptocurrency as a mode of payment? They cannot deduct it or something automatically or is there a different payment processor that does it automatically with you? Isn't it a hassle to do? I'm genuinely curious about your experience, OP.
989  Economy / Reputation / Re: Discussion on buying/selling accounts/users actively seeking possible bought acc on: April 25, 2023, 03:10:30 PM
If it deviates too much with the original account and how it was operating when active, that's definitely a sold account and if it has changed password. I'm all in tagging those accounts hat have planned or done scamming just to take advantage of the built account.
990  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bybit to introduce mandatory KYC requirements starting May 8 on: April 25, 2023, 08:47:39 AM
Since Bybit is getting bigger and bigger, I just based this because I see Bybit in the Formula 1 race car in Redbull, and that's probably and expensive feat to do; hence they have a lot of money to spend, and they are getting bigger. They likely are getting targeted and ensure they continue their services and have no problems with their regulations and business. That's fair and could prevent possible slip-ups or something to that extent.

Some people are probably not happy about this, but that's why there are DEXs.
991  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin could hit $100,000 by the end of 2024 - Standard Chartered - Surprised? on: April 25, 2023, 07:03:38 AM
I found it amazing that major banking is also hyping Bitcoin and seeing that prediction makes me feel like I'm doing the right decision to obtain more and more of BTC. I hope that everyone would be able to go along and see the real value of BTC and increase the chances of reaching it earlier.

I'm curious as to "What changed?" or Why do the major banks predict this kind of thing?
992  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What things do you study while choosing a wallet? on: April 24, 2023, 05:14:31 PM
Still, I would go back to this again and again. Read this thread by Lauda.

[General] Bitcoin Wallets - Which, what, why?

This is the best resource to have and keep in mind if you are considering any type of wallet.
993  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The two ways to invest in bitcoins. on: April 24, 2023, 03:19:30 PM
Isn't this just the same? You are just buying it and just with different volume. That's not really "two" in terms of investing.

Maybe you can think about it like this. You do some freelance work on the internet and you charge them in BTC. That way, you are exchange your time for BTC. That's another form of investing and it could lead you great results too if you are able to really pump up the value that you are doing.
994  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why does Bitcoiner still support the use of centralized exchanges? on: April 24, 2023, 10:26:16 AM
As much as someone like me does not want to use centralized exchanges, it just makes things easier for me. I just have rules that I set in order to be okay with what is happening.
  • The coins that I have deposited are what I can afford to lose
  • I'm using it to make more money
  • Regularly withdraw coins from the exchange

We can never control what happens to the CEXs, but we can mitigate and make sure to lessen the risk you have with it. That's just me.
995  Economy / Economics / Re: Why FedNow seems like a bad idea on: April 24, 2023, 09:24:11 AM
This will definitely be one of the things that are going to be hard to understand in general, knowing that there are a lot of technical things with these CBDCs and why it is important for them and not so much for us. For me as long as there's a possibility of it being unlimited in supply, it's not ideal.

But have you guys noticed how much possessive the government is??
Well, that's just how they are going to control the market and make sure that it's ok for everyone. But one thing is for sure if the people there are going to be selfish, they have a lot to gain with this.
996  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Ethereum Staking Platform on: April 24, 2023, 03:30:04 AM
The best way to approach this if you have little to no knowledge of how it works behind the scenes is to stake it in centralized platforms. AFAIK you can see, the APY and some estimates about it about what you are going to stake.

Primary considerations are probably.
  • Liquidity
  • Slashing

Aside from that, that's going to be one of the things that you can consider before deciding.
997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Contract Addresses: The need to be more cautious on: April 23, 2023, 07:23:46 AM
I didn't know that that was the strategy now. The scammers are adapting and making sure that they catch some unknowledgeable people that can fall into the trap that they have set.

I'm curious as to how they did it to be that similar. Isn't it something hard to do?
998  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next bull market comes in June on: April 22, 2023, 03:16:40 PM
That is definitely what we want, people to acknowledge and know that Bitcoin is the best bet against the inflation that we are experiencing now. It's definitely a good idea to have that festival and a crypto hub in Asia.

Anyway, does your project have something to do with the crypto hub, OP?
999  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Have you ever be afraid of holding? on: April 22, 2023, 02:48:10 PM
You can classify people into two categories
  • Paper Hands
  • Diamond Hands

Paper hands are where you would know if someone dislikes or is uncomfortably HODLing their coins.
Diamond hands are holding it no matter what happens.

I think we have all been through those phases and I hope everyone would have made right decisions.
1000  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can i make 100 $ daily from online casinos on: April 20, 2023, 10:16:43 PM
You can do this if you have a large amount of capital in the casino. You can probably bet large amounts that could give you what you want. Probably 1% of your bet or something would amount to that, so you can bet daily at a high percentage chance to win. Just don’t get too greedy.

Make sure that what you are betting is something that you can afford to lose.
