But my hope for everyone here is that you are all fruitfully engaged and not trying to scam others..lol..We all have been on the forum together for so long..Kabhi lagta hai ki mil kar kuch kara jaaye...but as allahabadi said,

Life itni busy ho gyi hai ki dekhne ka time hi nhi mil rha...

Toh kahan milna hai batao... koi kitna bhi busy ho... time nikalne se hi niklega... baithe baithe toh kabhi nhi niklega... lol

Allahabad has a close place in my heart. Kabhi aana hua toh bolenge.

Abhi toh Allahabad mein nhi hun... Kahan aana hai batao... Agar aaya toh milunga...

The first topic can be posted on the Bitcoin discussion or Beginners & Help board and the second. Your second topic can be posted on Serious Discussion or on our Local board if it specifically targets and average Indian.

You right the hang of writing daily is not that easy. You need to get a hang of it. With these two topics you might get a start  Wink

Thnx for the help; I'll see what I'll do...
3  Local / India / Re: What topic would encourage Indian board Merit source to get activated? on: April 27, 2023, 04:59:33 PM
Waise i am thinking of a post where I simply pour out my thoughts, immaterial or irrelevant ones too and invite them for criticism... just cathartic types... which board will be good... Indian mein engagement low lgti hai... bahar kahan sahi rahega...

Do one thing bro create a post in hinglish on our board as we need topics & activities here and if you are creating a topic about Bitcoin then you can use the Bitcoin Discussion forum. If your topic concentrates on Beginners then use Beginners & Help board.

If you can tell me more about the topic then I can tell you which board to post your topic.

I'll be of two types basically, one will be discussing about the economic systems and in consequence also touch upon BTC as well...

Second wala post will be abt personal issues, more like a mental health catharsis experiment... Cause I feel this is a reasonably safe anon space...

Also I have like let go of the habit of writing... Toh I want to start that again I guess...

Any clarity in this regard is appreciated...
4  Local / India / Re: Anand Mahindra Hints at Bitcoin Payment for Mahindra Cars on: April 27, 2023, 01:43:31 PM
There's nothing to be excited about really! Mr. Mahindra has given a diplomatic answer because Bitcoin is still not recognized as a legal tender in India.
~
Crypto has a long way to go in India, to be honest. The current government has no plan to make it a legal tender. Rather they will be more than happy to ban it. The looby of RBI is very strong in India and they will not allow crypto to become a legal tender till their last breath.

True words. The govt isn't happy with anything that challenges their authority on the ecosystem, be it any party. RBI is also an extremely conservative organisation.

We can also put up episodes on important events in BTC history and trivia with slightly melodramatic tone... Like :
1. The slaying of the BTC whale...
2. Origin of HODL...
3. Pizza Story...

Kahaan busy ho bhai Allahabadi. Itne encounter toh karwa diye..Ab aur kya chahte ho..

Bhai tbh issi kaam mein hum bhi busy ho gye hain Bhagwaan ki daya se... But extra judicial killing ko bilkul support nhi krte hain... Sincerely it is a failure on part of police agar koi aadmi aapki protection mein maara jaata hai toh... Also if u r the one doing tht, it simply means tht the common man shud stop trusting the system and start on the path of vigilantism...

Anyways, i guess the time for drama and old rivalries is long past on the forum. Or so I hope. Haven't been to Meta in a while toh pata nahi chalega..
No idea bro... rivalry toh nahi kahunga... but haan thoda muhfatt rha hun toh bahut logon ko pasand nhi aata hun...

7  Local / India / Re: India's money laundering rules to apply to Crypto Trade - Gov't notification on: March 30, 2023, 03:59:52 PM
There is no ban. No money laundering if you merely have crypto assets. The media frames the headlines in such a way that it looks as if you are going to go to jail just for holding cryptos.

So what has happened here is government has added some extra definitions in clause (sa) of Section 2(1). What has changed is nothing but the definition of the word in the act "Person carrying on Designated Profession". Now let's see where is this word being used in the act:

1.  Definition of Reporting Entity. So the words "Person carrying on Designated Profession" are being used in definition of Reporting Entity therefore it makes any person holding cryptos as a reporting entity.

2. Tasks/ Duties of Reporting entities. In plain terms,

  • To take UIDAI/ Adhaar of the person whom you are dealing with or a passport in any other case. -ID of someone you deal with offline
  • Maintain Records of all the transactions evidencing Identity and Business Correspondence for 5 years-All details of your holdings/ Trades
  • Additional Due Diligence- Taking extra precautions when dealing with regards to the sources of funds which you are receiving from that person etc.-Practically slightly difficult to do for any individual

3. Obviously failure to do above tasks will make you vulnerable to Penalties from the Director.

So, the recent change has brought this above ammendment so just make sure to keep the records and identity of any person you deal with and enjoy trading and Crypto. There is no outright ban and if you follow the above Tasks there is no violation of Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2003.

For just to clear the air on the practical side... PMLA is usually handled by ED, so they won't come after some small change transactions as such... So unless u are actually being shady and just a normal trader paying ur taxes... Carry on without any issues...

So did we get a channel on YT or not?
You will see the channel already if you have just checked the first post. Or if you don't have time check the link below.

https://www.youtube.com/@BitcoinTalkShow

I do miss watching videos that have something to do with Bitcointalk. I do hope it gets resurrected.

Apologies for the lazy framing. What I meant was did we get a channel with traction or not ?

I am actually sad tht legit efforts to support BTC like BTCT are gradually sinking... While scammers and idiots run rampant...

12  Local / Alt Coins (India) / Re: CHF dfinity airdrop claim on: April 11, 2022, 06:24:32 PM
Just a heads up for those who had applied for Dfinity airdrop wayyy back in 2018.

They will soon be having mainnet launch on 30th Sept and airdrop will follow, find your coinlist ID and get set.
I just saw about the CHF dfinity news, I have some of their airdrops, I have a question to ask.
How much is the dfinity CHF airdrop now and where can I sell it.

I'm having a little trouble making a sale.

U can sell on multiple places... Binance or even coinlist pro itself... U must have got the ICP airdrop in Coinlist wallet
13  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk Youtube channel - what would you like to see? on: December 25, 2021, 08:50:12 AM
I've been inactive for sometime, but this is long overdue... Crypto needs education and not the nonsense spewing moon boys... I too have evolved over the years and hope this will help others evolve too...

-Waqar Zaka (This YouTuber is from Pakistan) and the videos are in Urdu with 11.5k Subscribers.

The above individual is not an Indian, OP is asking about an Indian Youtuber. He is a big-time scammer and has been thrashed by the citizen of Pakistan publically (You can check his bashing video on Youtube itself). He knows nothing about cryptocurrency and just rattles whatever he reads from global crypto media. Please do not follow him and promote him here.

There are many self-proclaimed cryptocurrency gurus from India on Youtube. If you want to follow someone genuinely then follow cryptokanoon for Indian crypto news. For tutorial and how to stuff you can check Harsh Agarwal's channel (owner of coinsutra blog).

P.S - The best place to gain knowledge is always BTT

Agree with you 100%

Must gurus are MLM kinda get rich overnight promoters of scams... Better to educate yourself on your own...
