2  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: MYCRYPTOMIXER SCAM! 13 BTC LOST USING HIS MIXER on: March 07, 2021, 06:47:13 AM

And this absolves MyCryptoMixer how? You're apparently just throwing dirt on this person for no actual reason other than to discredit them. Why would you do that?

The coins still haven't moved. I don't know how Letters of Guarantee work exactly, but I personally would have waited to download that before sending any coins anywhere. Anyway, not much to do one way or the other besides wait to see who actually has the coins (if anyone).

He's accusing MCM of being a SCAMMER, in the title, and multiple forums on the web, and dark web. He's trying to 'hire a hacker' for if nothing more than nefarious reasons to somehow Dox or Hack MCM's website..  Even though in all likelihood he was phished.

The burden of proof lies with the accuser. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof. There is no evidence that he submitted it to MCM and MCM says he doesn't have it. OP doesn't have the LoG. You would think for $600k OP would instead contact the authorities, but why hasn't he?

He hasn't even answered the question why he sent $600k all at once in the first place. He admits to screwing up every step of the process, after accusing MCM of being a scammer.

You don't just fall off your bike, and immediately start accusing the bike manufacturer of creating a flawed bike. You better have proof that the bike is faulty... In this case, OP doesn't have any scrapes or bruises, and conveniently the bike is missing so there is no evidence.

MCM has already responded with an appropriate and well-thought-out defense to the accusations. Does that not absolve MCM?  Depends on how you look at it. In this instance character matters. You just need to read this thread to really understand, he was more than likely phished.

Oh, and off-topic, the accuser is likely dealing with stolen Bitcoin or drug money.. but I mean, what does that matter? My cousin died in 2019 from laced Fentanyl he bought online that he thought was Vicodin. So spare me, as I have little pity for those looking to make a quick buck or 600-thousand of em dealing drugs on the dark web.

Sigh. So your cousin died because of their bad choices and somehow it is the OPs fault?

mycryptomixer, you should have posted this from your main account and nobody would have begrudged you that. There is no need for a throwaway account as everyone can see clearly through you. You seem to be justifying the theft of over $600k by repeating this same nonsense on reddit too.

But here is the thing, the OP’s character or alleged shady activities are not the topic of discussion here. Report him to the relevant authorities if you have evidence of him engaging in criminal activities, or create a new topic about it. The deflecting and obfuscation here is pathetic.

That said, you’re the one asking the community to trust you with thousands of dollars in cryptocurrencies. And recently there has been a few scam accusations against you:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5235190.msg55826680#msg5582668ve
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5235190.msg56064593#msg56064593
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5235190.msg56404288#msg56404288

I’ve been following this thread and I was leaning towards the OP making a mistake and getting phished, but after reading this post  I am more than convinced  that you stole the coins.

So by your logic it is okay to rape prostitutes, and they aren't allowed cry about it or seek justice? You seem very  obsessed with the OP for a neutral.
4  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cloudbet should no longer be allowed on bitcointalk- a danger to community on: October 03, 2020, 11:05:33 AM
Do you see the amount of scam accusations against the company?  They are doing this to many people.  Not only this, I have taken down the story and added it to https://cloudbetscams.com of Efxes.

Certainly, only a small fraction of those they've scammed know about bitcointalk or bother reporting it. I bet there are lots more out there.  They, Cloudbet, have good reasons for hiding their location.

Well well well, nothing new to see here, it seems nothing has changed with cloudbet. Still stealing deposits and freerolling players...  Grin
6  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cloudbet not responding for my 330 BTC withdrawal on: February 19, 2019, 11:01:55 AM
Morning all,

I have posted a statement on our meta thread that should help to answer some of the concerns raised by the community in regards to this case.

You can read the statement in full here

Thanks,

Ronnie @ Cloudbet

Just pay the man his money. He signed messages showing he made the deposits, so once again you're making accusations without showing any proof. Whatever happens, your reputation is gone forever, and some of us will make sure people are reminded of your fraudulent behavior for a very long time.

I keep asking myself what would have happened if the OP had lost the deposit. No drama, cloudbet keeps coins. You really are scum.
7  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cloudbet not responding for my 330 BTC withdrawal on: February 19, 2019, 10:59:07 AM
Hi all,

There has been some discontent in the forums and we would like to take this opportunity to clear a few issues up.

Firstly, please be reminded that Cloudbet does NOT accept any USA players.

USA players are blocked from registering accounts, and are blocked from making bets. If any player from USA attempts to make an account, they see a message saying USA players are prohibited and are not able to sign up.

To reiterate, players from USA are NOT allowed on Cloudbet.

If we have strong reason to believe that a player has deliberately and willingly circumvented our terms of service by connecting from USA (or another restricted territory), we freeze their account while we conduct an investigation, and ask the player to provide documentation on their residency. Please note that this is only when we strongly suspect that a player has connected from USA, ie, there is specific evidence to suggest this.

In most cases, the player is cooperative and provides us with accurate documentation about their account and residency. If they are a USA resident, we close their account permanently, and return their account balance. This has been the case with several vocal users in the forum. Sometimes this can take some time, as every case is slightly different, but is always resolved eventually provided the player furnishes us with accurate information.

If they are connecting from a non-restricted country, we reopen their account and they can resume using their account without limitation.

Please note that in all cases where the player has cooperated, they have received their entire account balance, and had their accounts closed only if they were connecting from a prohibited jurisdiction (or there was a separate unrelated issue). If any forum members in this situation would come forward and confirm receipt of their account balances in full, this would be appreciated.

However - on rare occasions, the player is NOT cooperative and provides us with deliberately falsified or fraudulent information. In these cases, our investigations are significantly more complicated and time consuming.

There is one specific case that has received a lot of attention from the community - Swofty - as the dollar amount is particularly large. Here is our comment on the case:

  • As we have a duty of privacy to all of our players, we are limited in what we can share. The player may have shared some details, but we are not able to share any specifics or personal data.
  • That said, we can share definitively that the player has knowingly and deliberately provided untruthful, falsified and fraudulent information to both Cloudbet and the community.
  • The account holder is NOT the person that he/she states it is, nor are they in the location they state.
  • The player also knowingly and deliberately circumvented our terms of service by connecting from a prohibited jurisdiction.
  • The reason the player has not been paid yet is entirely to do with them circumventing our terms of service and providing falsified and fraudulent information, and nothing to do with our bitcoin liquidity (more on that below).
  • As the customer provided us with definitively falsified information, we suggested they reach out to Curacao Egaming - with whom we hold a licence - for assistance. This is the correct escalation for any player issues.
  • We intend to resolve this issue in a manner completely fair to everyone once we receive truthful and accurate information from the player.
  • It appears as if the player is now cooperating, so we hope to have a resolution to this case soon.

We have been encouraged by the way the community has responded to rally behind the player and help hold Cloudbet accountable, however in this case the player has not been truthful with the community. We encourage the player to share a more accurate story.

Separately, concerns have been raised about Cloudbet's ability to service the player's withdrawal immediately. You needn’t be concerned - we hold enough funds to cover all of our player balances several times over, and we would never accept a bet that we could not pay in full immediately. We have been around since 2013 and have always celebrated our largest winners, and paid extremely promptly.

We would like to address this in the way requested by the community -- a signed message from a wallet that holds sufficient funds to cover any liabilities that may be due to this player.

We have signed a message from a wallet holding ~1157 BTC. All outputs spent to this wallet are from wallets that belong to us, and had not moved in over a year (we sent them to a single wallet for the purpose of this exercise) so they are not newly acquired coins.  We would be happy to sign another message from any of the source wallets to prove ownership if required.

Wallet: 16vk7DahVgj4VsfKKdr1pG3QJ9FvzXpdJN
Message: cloudbet.com // no USA players allowed
Signature: HxO5QwkA/UNVePahBUzYgWL4Zz5syTC1H6/LeHICsvW0MYG9Q+PgOjNbzVXgXsLbadzFO2wLlz25nsbaXkeTXo4=

You can verify the above message in your bitcoin client, or by using the web interface here

I hope that addresses the community's immediate concerns. If anybody has any further questions or follow-up, please feel free to contact us directly via our support channels, or post a reply in this thread and we will do our best to address them in a timely manner.

Once more, to reiterate, Cloudbet does NOT accept USA players.

Thanks for your continued support, patience, and diligence.

This is a good example of someone that let things be after cloudbet scammed him:

Avoid cloud bet at all cost. They owe me 35 bitcoins (from the time when bitcoin was trading at $13500/coin).  I am a high-roller who follows Betting resource.com's 10 unit picks. They recommend only to play at betcris and pinnacle but the limits there are low and decided to jump in on cloudbet since they offered the 5 bitcoin bonus plus high limits. I deposited 20 bitcoins and I received 5 bonus bitcoins. All was good. Limits were ridiculously high and and I was very happy following the tips. Long story short, I ran up my account to 60 units total in few months and problems arose when I requested the first withdrawal for 25 units. It staid pending for days without explanation. When i contacted them, they kept giving excuse of internal reviews and investigations. Then they asked so many documents, some were ridiculous requests and i complied with everything they asked. By this point i was suspicious and stopped betting with them. Their review/investigation last 2 months and finally they completed the investigation and concluded that my "betting pattern" is against their terms and conditions. I asked them which and they failed to explain further. They told me that my account has been closed and gave me option to withdraw my 20 bitcoin deposited and gave my 48 hour ultimatum and if I don't accept the offer, I get nothing. I had no choice but to accept the offer. At the time i deposited the 20 bitcoins, it was trading around 13.5k/coin. When i received the 20 bitcoins, bitcoin was worth about $8000. Not only did I lose my winnings and bonus but I also lost a lot of value on my deposit.

To date they haven't given me explanation on how I broke the terms and conditions. i did not have any betting pattern. all i did was follow my tipster and flat bet 4 bit coins on each tip. All bets for same amount. There is nothing in their terms and conditions that states this type of betting is disallowed.

This book is very bad. I guess many people don't know since they are losing gamblers but if you are a big winner, they will show their real colors.

@Ronnie - what are your views on this:

That’s some list Jolly. And these are the ones reported on bitcointalk. I bet you that it is only a small fraction of cloudbet’s indiscretions. A lot of people don’t know about this forum and would just let it slide.

The 330 btc case has brought cloudbet's shadiness to the fore due to the large amount involved, but it wouldn’t surprise me if they have taken players for a combined total way more than that.

@Swofty is really patient , and if I were him, I’d get my lawyers and law enforcement involved immediately.
10  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cloudbet not responding for my 330 BTC withdrawal on: February 19, 2019, 07:22:39 AM
It appears cloudbet is giving @Swofty fake assurances and he is buying it. What could be the delay? How much more time do they need to conclude their ‘investigations” and pay up?

It is 50 days now and there seems to be no end in sight.

ginalli & more recently youngamerican had their issues resolved because they were very vocal about it? Swofty keeps taking the softly approach, and cloudbet seems to be taking advantage of it.
11  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cloudbet not responding for my 330 BTC withdrawal on: February 14, 2019, 07:49:50 AM
The OP has now proven ownership of HIS account beyond doubt.
- has submitted himself to full KYC check
- has signed messages from the deposit addresses
- owns and retains access to the registered email address
- owns and retains the 2FA phone number registered to the account

How cloudbet.com can keep saying different people are claiming ownership of the account is stupid in light of all the evidence provided by the OP.

Cloudbet's assertions of suspicious deposits have now been debunked. There was no third party involved. The OP controls all the deposit addresses and made the deposits HIMSELF!

- On the other hand cloudbet.com has offered only words without providing any shred of evidence to back up their claims.
- They keep smearing the OP while the OP has shown the patience of a saint in dealing with them.
- Out of the blue, their go to arbiter - askgamblers.com - is no longer viable for them.
- They're arbitrarily imposing Curacao E-gaming as the new arbiter, after wasting 46 days and counting of the OP's time on askgamblers.
- The question is why Curacao E-gaming and not askgamblers that has helped resolve over 30 cases involving cloudbet.com?
- When cloudbet.com signed up to askgamblers.com, they agreed to provide them with any evidence of wrongdoing by players - they have so far failed to do so in this case.
- They also agreed to abide by the rulings made by askgamblers, but they're now shifting the goal post again. This means that askgamblers, who the OP seems comfortable with as arbiter will be sidelined.
- They have changed their TOS to include a clause that allows them hold on to player’s deposits and winnings indefinitely.
- They've refused to answer legitimate questions on askgamblers and by the bitcointalk community, but rather are making ambiguous statements.

Who is looking suspicious now?
Is cloudbet.com a scam casino? My answer is YES.
They've been selectively scamming users and getting away with it for many years. Its a pity it has come to this for people to realize what they really are.
The emperor no longer has his clothes.

"You are not allowed to complain in bitcointalk about us delaying payment for 8+ weeks because you agreed to our recently changed Terms and Conditions"

"We can delay your withdrawal as long as we want for whatever reason we want"

Haha! IF THERE WAS ANY DOUBT ABOUT THE INTEGRITY OF SCAMBET, THEY JUST PUT A NAIL IN THEIR OWN COFFIN BY "UPDATING" THEIR TOS TO BASICALLY SAY WE WILL LOOK FOR EVERY WAY NOT TO PAY YOU YOUR WINNINGS, AND WE WILL TAKE AS MUCH TIME AS WE NEED TO DO IT. AMAZING SCUMBAGS! Smiley

You have to be special kind of stupid to even consider betting with this "establishment" after reading at least a couple of pages of this thread. Very unethical bunch

According to this http://www.poslovni.hr/svijet-i-regija/ukanovicev-roak-na-internet-klaenju-godinama-vara-drzavu-302453, their license provider E-Gambling Montenegro was exposed 4 years ago.

According to this http://www.gov.me/pretraga/174352/Azurirani-podaci-o-priredivacima-za-14-09-2018.html, E-Gambling Montenegro stopped operating last year in Montenegro.

Cloudbet doesn't want to share info about their Montenegro's license while enforcing KYC how they want and to whoever they want.

That image is 100% real, you think ill make that one? That is from my withdrawal screenshot. You did see my deposit too right? You think i made up that too?
I don't think you made this up but I still like to hear both sides.

It would be nice if cloudbet makes an appearance and says something unambiguous. So far they have failed to properly address the issue, both on here and on askgamblers.com.
15  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cloudbet not responding for my 330 BTC withdrawal on: February 10, 2019, 03:59:49 PM
While this "investigation" is going on your account is suspended/locked.

Do you have funds in your balance? Are able to withdraw them to your BTC wallet on your desktop or mobile?

I guess he had access to the account, but couldn't withdraw. Then the account was closed after the superbowl bet.
16  Other / Meta / Re: theymos shouldn't merit and trust be mutually exclusive? on: February 10, 2019, 03:49:22 PM
Nevertheless, why are good posters trusted by default?
They aren't.

theymos has essentially created a democracy for choosing users to be DT1. The 250 merit cut off is to earn a vote, not to be trusted. No one (except theymos himself) is "trusted by default".

There needs to be a way to limit votes to real members, otherwise anyone (including scammers) could flood the forum with alts and vote themselves on to DT. Merit is a simple way of doing that. I struggle to go think of any other simple way to differentiate users other than a newbie jail, which brings with it a significant number of other problems. If you have any suggestions, I'm sure theymos would be interested to hear them, as OgNasty has said.

As an aside, thank you for starting a mature discussion and not just mudslinging.

Fair enough. In other words, one has to be a good poster first to earn a vote for DT1, while possible trustworthy members with less meritable posts are sidelined. Correct me if I'm wrong, is the foremost criterion for selecting DT1 posting skills?

If this is the case then merit is no longer a simple reward for good posts and determining account ranks, but it is also a potent political tool. So, I was a bit surprised when theymos removed a member as merit source for political reasons. After-all he created the system.

Is stingers still a merit source?

Not anymore. That's clear abuse, awarding merit for political reasons rather than any idea of quality. Only because he was a source, I effectively undid those merit sends. If he had not been a merit source, I still would've blacklisted anyone who got into DT1 through that type of shenanigans.

I hadn't read into the thread deeply enough to see that stuff. Those are better arguments against the trustworthiness of H8bussesNbicycles & co., but note that the current negative-trust-ratings were sent long before that. Before February, the thread looks like politics to me.

The member's only mistake was announcing he was awarding merits for political reasons beforehand. However, we know other members are doing the same, while pretending to be awarding them to good posts. If merit is essential to getting on DT, then it is clearly a political tool, and can be abused for political gain.

Nevertheless, why are good posters trusted by default? In my humble opinion, the logic of having 250 merits or even 1 merit to be voted into DT is seriously flawed.

This could very well be true, but the question remains...  What's a better way of doing it?  theymos is trying his best.  If you propose a better way, it would likely be considered.

I have no idea yet. Nonetheless, it is quite obvious that the new model is deeply flawed and I'd advocate for returning to the previous model until something better than this suffices. This new model can be gamed easily, and I expect it to be proven shortly.
17  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cloudbet not responding for my 330 BTC withdrawal on: February 10, 2019, 01:10:05 PM
I was close to nearly adding Cloudbet to my Scam Alert signature in the past but gave them the benefit of the doubt but after seeing the latest selective scamming attempt at the value of over 335 BTC I had no choice. I am glad I added Cloudbet to my Scam Alert signature.

It is more than that Jolly. They also screwed the OP for more BTC. Apparently, he placed bets from his balance on the super bowl during ongoing "investigations" and won. That prompted them to cancel his latest winnings and close the account. They did not stop him from placing the bet and something tells me that had he lost, it wouldn't have been an issue.

PS: Can we ask cloudbet to sing a message that they have the fund to pay 330BTC?

This. However, they should go one step further and just pay up.This bogus investigation is almost 40 days now. How long do they need?
18  Other / Meta / theymos shouldn't merit and trust be mutually exclusive? on: February 10, 2019, 12:54:27 AM
I will not post a long diatribe as my question is simple.

What does good grammar have to do with trust? I apologize if this has been discussed elsewhere on the forum; I dug around a bit, but couldn't find anything related to this. This is not an attack on the merit system, as it serves a very good purpose and rewards deserving posters accordingly.

Nevertheless, why are good posters trusted by default? In my humble opinion, the logic of having 250 merits or even 1 merit to be voted into DT is seriously flawed.

Are we placing more value on creating good content than on things like successful trades? By definition trust has nothing to do with posting good content or being a higher ranked member. There are lowly ranked members with more integrity than half of DT combined. Merit & trust are mutually exclusive and should remain so.
19  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: February 09, 2019, 09:15:16 PM
I think the trust system does way more harm to the community than good, it should be removed IMO. The amount of people I get direct messaging me on Twitter complaining how they stopped using this forum because of issues around trust is noticeable, or ranting about Lauda. I don't think these people are necessarily scammers either.

Better to just remove it. I'm sure the overall happiness of the community would go way up. Let people figure out for themselves if someone or a business is trustworthy, as they do on the rest of the internet. It's a noble idea but it just builds resentment among members which might actually lead to more shady and dubious behavior. Mobs going around bullying members with trust scores is shady activity. Feels like more people complain about getting their trust fucked with and characters like Lauda than they do about scams here.

Trust scores are mostly meaningless, it's closer to a popularity contest than a true measure of someone's trustworthiness. Just by using this site, all of you are implicitly trusting me, but that isn't reflected at all in my trust score, in fact I probably seem less trustworthy on first observation than some actual shady people on here. There's so much angst with the whole system, maybe there's a way to make it work better, and tweaking it could eventually lead to that, but for now it just looks like something that's dividing the community.

Be careful now. You don’t want your account tagged as bought or ‘changed hands’. Opinions that go against the cults are generally viewed with suspicion, and it wouldn’t be long before you’re labeled a troll. I can imagine them already trawling through your post history looking for dirt.

I don’t think DT is a bad thing, however, it comes with some responsibility. I am certain that when Lauda was booted off DT for a few weeks, things were quieter on here and scams were still busted. Lauda and some members of her cult are the problem here not DT. And the sooner they’re out the better.

Update: Bazinga442 has excluded me anyway, so he just copy/pasts a list he doesn't even agree with.
Yes, I copied and pasted the list. I’ve never had a trust list before now and I visit my trust page only when I want to leave retaliatory feedback. I don’t need a trust list to tell me who I should trust or not.
