1  Other / Archival / Re: ICO without whitepaper on: September 06, 2018, 11:23:15 PM
There are many solid ICOs or even established currencies that didn't have a whitepaper, it's simply not a real requirement if you interact with the community, for example, privcy the currency I'm in, now it's taking out the whitepaper, and it's a solid currency in several exchanges and with several partners, which is progressing very well, managers didn't consider the whitepaper as their immediate priority.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounties are STUPID on: September 06, 2018, 10:45:38 PM
what makes you think that bounties participants are not investors? many spend time and effort in making comments, it is true that many comments are spam or are empty opinions, but it is up to managers to put the right rules and monitor compliance, bounties are the best marketing tool that the ICOs has.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Still did not get bounty rewards? on: September 05, 2018, 10:17:45 PM
I think it's too early for you to give up, remember that we are in a bear market and many campaigns do not have much success in the end, so it is crucial to choose a good campaign because it is the only way we have to ensure our payment, just be patient and with some luck you will be rewarded.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will other coins beat bitcoin in the future? on: September 02, 2018, 07:37:58 PM
Very likely, for example we have different currencies that could take the place of bitcoin, we have a ripple that is looking for an adoption by the banks to unite the two institutions, we have dash with its super fast transactions and another couple of promising currencies that if they stabilize and gain more followers could dethrone bitcoin in the future.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should I invest to Bitcoin or Ethereum? on: September 01, 2018, 10:28:54 PM
Although bitcoin is still a good investment bet I think ETH is much more innovative in the field of technology, and they may not handle volumes as large as bitcoin, but without a doubt, they still have room to grow and become one of the most powerful platforms to develop new projects with blockchain technology
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Etherium is stagnant? on: August 07, 2018, 06:30:53 PM
There may be several explanations for the ETH stagnancy.

As you mentioned, ETH didn't fall as hard as BTC did from their respective ATH's the ETH drop was roughly 55% while BTC fell 70%. The parity is starting to return, as BTC is approaching the same level of retracement as ETH has already realized.

Finally, these markets are starting to really align with technical analysis (TA) - trend lines, ichimoku clouds, fibonacci retracements - if you run a TA on the ETH-Daily right now, it is remarkably in alignment with right where it ought to be.

I know this can be frustrating; yet, we may be entering a new era for cryptos, particularly large-cap cryptos, that reflects pragmatic money entering the space.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can we determine if an ICO/Project will be a scam/no value on: August 07, 2018, 05:00:09 PM
research, research and more research, at least dedicate 1 or 2 days to an ICO research if you are going to invest, I personally recommend that you get more interest in projects that have some real-life use, or that serve for more than just fundraising, so that in the end the tokens can be used on a real platform and that will increase their value exponentially.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you using ETH for? on: August 06, 2018, 07:23:08 PM
I think that a little of everything you mentioned, most of eth I use in ICOs that have a good future, if I'm in a bounty and I like the project a lot, the community is active and is fulfilling the plan I decide to invest a little ETH to help them emerge, I also like the games that use ETH and I have gained a little bit with them, but I think I have lost more than I have gained haha
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: STOP THIS DESPERATION FOR FREE TOKENS!!! on: August 06, 2018, 05:58:45 PM
as always a offers that give monetary incentives attract people, what can I say? people like money, and the less effort the better, but that's no excuse for them to be handing out so few tokens per bounty, I also think bounty managers could do more about it, like restricting the use of multiple accounts or putting a maximum limit on the number of bounty hunters that can participate in such a campaign, the problem is that everyone becomes greedy and wants to get the most out of it.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 600 dollar to invest on: August 05, 2018, 10:59:43 PM
I think you have two options with that kind of money, either you go for a safe investment and invest it all in BTC or Ethereum, or you choose an ICO that is just starting out and you think they can reach x100 at some point, for that you have to research the market well and think of a ICO that is really promising, I personally trust Hashkon but I don't want to be a shill so you have to do your own research.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin dominance is it the END ? on: August 05, 2018, 07:46:58 PM
I think actually, BTC's ratio going up probably means decreased confidence in the crypto markets (for now). When you see people going nuts with alts again and selling their BTC, that will give me more assurance confidence has returned to crypto (barring certain situations like another big BTC hard fork or something, which could pull people into BTC and possibly pull us back into a bull market and re-creating a bubble again).
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New coin are scam nowadays on: August 04, 2018, 04:28:21 AM
looking at one or two sources only quite risky, as they can always be manipulated or have their own agenda, and the lack of regulation in this world makes everything affordable, even the recommendation of "reliable" pages is always good to meet with the community in discord, telegram to discuss the project and see how solid it is, it is also good to do a thorough investigation before investing, since it is better to spend 1 day investigating an ICO than to get scammed at the end.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do bounty hunters become ICO investors? on: August 03, 2018, 03:57:09 AM
In a way, bounty hunters are already investors, they invest with time and provide the ICOs with advertising and marketing, I personally if I see that an ICO is very good and manages very well during the period, (complies with the roadmap, the community is active and responsible, there are not many drawbacks) I spend some of my money to earn more tokens, so I bet on a technology that I like.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you find interesting ICO ? on: August 02, 2018, 06:43:09 AM
I really like criptobriefing because they evaluate the coming and past ICOs, and provide lots of analysis and background check [...] They can be sometimes late in adding the good ICOs, but once they do, they usually do a good job in their analysis and evaluation they often provides of ratings and are trustworthy so far, really recommending that site now, very useful icos there
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you really like master nodes? on: August 02, 2018, 06:15:54 AM
I never used a masternode because if you go with a straight PoS coin the minimum buy-in is 1 coin.

In terms of hardware, you can run most PoS projects on a Raspberry Pi for 24/7 staking at ultra-low cost. Just check in with the community to check specs and if anyone has experience.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I earned $ 3500 from the 1 airdrop on: August 01, 2018, 04:45:03 AM
I don't know rick, it's an exorbitant amount, I'm going to need some proof, how long was that? because the most I've got in an airdrop is $20 a week, I thought it wasn't bad at all, most airdrops look like scams, and I think tokens won't be worth much, that's why I like bounty campaigns more because I feel that the token is revalued with our help.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins BETTER than BITCOIN? on: July 31, 2018, 03:14:40 AM
We won't see a decoupling from BTC just due to more Fiat/Alts pairings on exchanges. The moment when BTC won't matter anymore is when there is a real usage demand (nor all that speculative announcement hype as it is now) for an alt coin. Right now BTC just kind of "regulates" the mood in the market.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FIAT rewards for bounty hunters. on: July 30, 2018, 03:33:21 AM
It's not a bad idea, although I think it's more convenient for investors to continue paying in tokens than in fiat directly, although if it would solve the problem that you mention that it's the dump that barely comes out in exchange, remember that bounty hunters can also be investors and many participate to get good pre-ICO tokens that their value is much lower but can reach a much higher value.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your favorite Altcoins to trade or HODL right now? on: July 30, 2018, 01:22:10 AM
Some of the chains I am most interested in bringing to the ARK ecosystem through ACES are bitcoin, litecoin, ethereum, monero, and raiblocks. This suite of cryptocurrencies would provide a massive amount of utility to a user of ARK. The big three provide attractive fiat gateways as well as mainstream merchant payments and smart contract deployments. Monero would provide a connection hub to privacy for ARK users and a utility gateway to Monero users. RaiBlocks would be an interesting gateway for ARK smart bridge microtransactions while helping the RaiBlocks network by having services and listeners acting as nodes for both networks.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Experts export bitcoin price to hit $250,000 on: July 29, 2018, 06:22:03 AM
$250.000 by 2022 sounds realistic to me. Although i would say that it would be an inflated price and it would probably dip below that for a while after it has been reached.

In other words; i expect $250.000 to be reached in 4 years but it will be during a bubble... not an actual fair value price.

In a world where there's more cash than ever anything is possible. But 1 million per bitcoin implies such a huge market cap that it's hard to believe, especially in such a short timeframe.
