Hi I have been having an issue with opal daemon shutting down without any information being printed in the debug log to help trouble shoot it. Does opalcoin have some debug level launch flags?
Coolcash can answer that better then I can, but let me ask some questions quick.. What system are you running? What version of Opal are you using? Have you downloaded the newest wallet from the opal-coin.com or compiled from github? |

I want to remind people Opal never had a "developer",
It had members of the community who stepped up
to take on the challenges of developing the coin.
Has it been easy?

I know this is making it sound shitty to be a Dev and I can tell you personally it is
definitely not all sunshine and rainbows.
So, Why keep developing?

done have more than 99% of the coin out there.
I continue to develop because in the trust-less world of crypto,
I trust myself and those I work with and in so I trust Opal."
Where do you see Opal in the future?
"I think hardware fueled by Opal is a very promising direction,
but my ultimate goal is to get Opal to the moon, literally,
put an Opal node on a rocket and land it on the Moon."

Good Morning, I know that many of you have been wondering what has been going on with Opal. I/we apologize for the lack of updates. I (coolcash) am still dedicated to this coin, I have been involved since the very beginning and have no reason to leave. To give everyone some updates, it is correct, whitj/bassguitarman left our development team a few months ago. We will be looking for a new developer to assist us in future updates and features, if anyone wants to join and help support our team please PM me, Truther, or the OpalTeam account. Current goals for Opal: 1. Continue adoption of opal though merchants and other services to accept opal. 2. Opal drive, its still a concept, but has promising potential. 3. Listen to our users and be more active. Wallet updates: 1. Windows Basic Wallet has been tested with Windows 10. Its on our website. Please let me know if there are any issues. 2. A bootstrap.dat file is available for import, this will save a lot of time on the sync. We have a new blockchain service http://chainz.cryptoid.info/opal/Thanks for your patience and support. Please delete this and leave the devs alone. They actually came through with all promises and have a functional coin. If it doesn't make you money in the market that isn't their problem. You just want to piss people off I am sure but go about it another way rather than attacking credibility of someone who has their priorities straight and cares more about their family than working on a coin to benefit insensitive jackasses like you. Stop lying. The dev is just telling stories to get us off his back and I have the proof. Someone I know was talking to truther on skype and he admitted he hit a roadblock and because of that he is going to make up this lie. I will get my friend to post the chat logs and then you can see for yourself that the dev is lying to us. This coin is dead and never coming back. At first I thought you had genuine concerns for what was going on, but after your claim of "proof" that you and I both know is completely false; it is obvious your just trying to damage the coin and your own reputation at this point. Update We will be having a Coin giveaway to Celebrate Opal's One Year Anniversary.
Truther will be in-charge of the giveaway and will be updating on the details.
As you can see there is a poll started on what coins the community would like as prizes.
We are also discussing distributing dividend to "Opal tokens" on the NXT asset exchange as well.
What and how much has yet to be decided, but we will be issuing something to our supporters there.
There has been some talk of a shareholder's meeting in regards to Opal's Development and Direction and we are open to this idea
and will be updating on the details on this in the days to come. Opal is a community coin, it is your coin, we are here to listen.
. You should correspond with Bittrex before, they tend to not list / delist dividend sharing coins. huh?.. It referring to Opal token's on the NXT ASSET exchange. OpalTKN is an asset traded on NXT's asset exchange. It is separate from OpalCoin and represents a holding in the future earnings of opal products. |
