Had the Youngest Player of the Tournament Special paid out minutes after the award was given to him.

Nicely done Sportsbet.io!

Argentina winning the Copa America Finals was a good match as it went into extra time with Lautaro Martínez scoring at the 112 minute of the contest.
Sadly for Messi he had to leave the match due to major swelling to his right foot.

Here are he photos of him on the bench in distress during the left of the match before regulation time ended:

They said this could be his last match of representing his nation of Argentina. Which is the same with Ronaldo who is 39 years old.
Nice way for him to exit from the stage in winning a tournament like Copa America for his country.

Didn't know Elder/Flowers were asked to come in on just on three days notice.
Maybe they didn't have enough fighters on the card so they needed this one bout to fill it out more to make the alotted time within their contractual admittance to the networks.
Thanks for that info @cabron
The Ball Arena even is just under way and it should be a sizzler in the middle of summer.
They were talking about booking unranked fighters Elder and Flowers on reddit.com/r/MMA and how UFC decided to add them on very short notice.  Flowers is all just showboating but tapped when triangled. The Prelim fights have more finished fights than the main card but the FN is Silva vs Dobber where Dobber got the eyebrow cut because of the elbow.
It was said Denver is the adoptive city of Rose Namajunas in the interview after the fight. Which makes sense I guess that it was her being the replacement for Maycee Barbers.
Believe it was Tracy Cortez who replaced Maycee Barber due to her pulling out of the main event fight with Rose Namajunas:
https://mmajunkie.usatoday.com/2024/07/ufc-on-espn-59-rose-namajunas-indifferent-about-future-rebooking-maycee-barber-after-pullout-denver

But understandable if you did not realize that if not completely into the UFC scene. No worries mate!
Some leaks over the weekend for some of the names on the Noche UFC event at the sphere from the friendly neighborhood TheWeasle:
Ilia Topuria vs Max Holloway is the BEST FIGHT of the Year (UFC 306 Leaks)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LoEx_GL5pEs

@danherbias07
Interesting post fight conference with Thug Rose with her take on Cortez stepping up to take her on in replacement for a main event which was not in her favor at all due to fight camp being on short notice.
"I was very happy with her stepping up and admire her as a god fearing woman and if she continues walking in that path she can really excel and transform her life."
UFC Denver : Post-Fight Press Conference
https://www.youtube.com/live/oF__HCMElCc

It was funny when she was explaining how Cortez was wearing fake eyelashes and if you rewatch that knockout, she actually punched one of them off her eye.
Also how on the scale at the weigh-ins Tracy's camp told her to breath out air so to make weight. Which Rose found that sounded weird aswell.

Things were rolling on X over the weekend and if somebody says it wasn't a historic and wild one needs to get their heads examined ASAP!

Elon Musk has officially fully endorses Donald J Trump's run of the United States Presidential campaign

https://x.com/elonmusk/status/1812256998588662068

Also the now historic photo after the attempt of his life on stage but still has the awareness of being defiant against terrorism:

https://x.com/elonmusk/status/1812258574049157405

He is still going to the scheduled rally in the state of Wisconsin, while his handlers opposed it and suggested to him to  have it delayed by 4 days but he refused to do that.
https://www.msnbc.com/msnbc/watch/trump-lands-in-milwaukee-for-rnc-still-on-track-to-speak-214838341989

Will still be speaking at the bitcoin conference 2024 in Nashville Tennessee later this month:

Just found it as an interesting thing for someone who told his clients to sell bitcoin because it will never out do gold.
Yet it is gaining ground on the precious metal at the beginning of the year due to the release of the bitcoin spot etf.
Except if its a fake statistic you will discover online where gold has out smart bitcoin in performance for profitability, without the existence of bitcoin spot ETF, bitcoin market price will still pump and rises, it may only have to be on a different time not earlier than we had already after the approval of bitcoin spot ETF.
So my question is, is Schiff slowly accepting bitcoin as something to hold on to alongside gold or still completely bearish on it's existence?
I heard a few months ago his own son is holding some bitcoin which I found hilarious.
People like this cannot be predicted, his own son in investing on what he is preaching against, this call for a second thought on the situation on ground, it might be that he is taking advantage of the public toward propagating false informations about bitcoin while he has investments in that same bitcoin or he is rather doing that in other to get fame from the people and government.
How so how old is his son because if older than 21 years of age he is illegally allowed to invest into whatever he wants too without any adult co-signee involved. Dependent on the state that they reside in of course.
Remember each States of the US have different age requirements to do things such as legal age to drink for instance.

Schiff looks around 60 years old so his son has to be no younger than 16. So if he still is living with him (daddy warbucks Grin) then he would have to abide by his father's rules of the house.
Wouldn't you agree?

6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Election - Will Trump release Dread Pirate Roberts - Debate this week on: July 13, 2024, 11:01:28 PM
Some strange occurrence happened at a rally for Trump just about 30 minutes ago:
"Secret Service agents have rushed former President Donald Trump off stage after loud noises rang out at a rally in Pennsylvania.
Footage showed him grimace and raise a hand to his ear, before ducking as sharp cracks - apparently shots - broke out."
https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cd1d31jeyzlo

So even if he was going to make an appearance at a bitcoin conference later this month, I think he won't be shown in public after this incident. Or he will have a heavy detail put in place before the elections.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: July 13, 2024, 02:32:51 PM
The market is available and Spain are @1.74x to lift the trophy while England are @2.10x.
Money line are questionable due to what we discussed above with how this tournament has gone with alot of late goals going on to force a draw and being a finals has a higher than usual possibility to go to penalties.
It already moved down to 1.68, but it's good enough. I combined it with the other two Copa America matches (Argentina to lift and under 2.75 goals) for a total of 4.91 odds since the free bet button goes missing whenever I include another sport in the multi, I assume it's only limited to football markets.

They're also offering these for the WTA Wimbledon final, it looks like both specials are a good bet when both semis ended in three sets.

Nice bet ralle14 and it looks like a solid acca so good luck to you!
The Wimbledon Woman's final did hit the over as they both ended up getting 6-2 a set each.
And the third set just began so we will see which one will end up the champion for this tournament shortly.

Can't wait to see the Men's Wimbledon Finals for tomorrow between Djokovic vs Alcaraz.
Those markets can be seen here:

Yes Ollie Watkin's goal was a game saver for England and can't wait for those Euro Finals tomorrow aswell!

I am in agreement to the bettors who predict that sexy Tracy might win, the reason is also provided. This is why I mentioned that the sportsbooks have underestimated her hehehe.

I reckon that if you know the friendship between Rose and Valentina, you would assume that one of them will never sign the contract. It is also not true that Rose never fought anyone from high rank. This is head shaking because she was strawweight champion! If you are arguing on why she was not given an opponent with high rank in flyweight, this is also headshaking because she fought Fiorot who is top 5 flyweight in the UFC heehhe.
What I mean is Fiorot didn't get to fight someone to get a title shot. She remains as is.  Rose and Valentina are friends? Good for them.

When Rose lost against Esparza, Foirot fought Rose and. Manon Fiorot by now should be fighting a title shot already, I think this is still not given consideration it has almost a year already. But then this is women's division. Somewhat very different when events are fighting men.
Dana White hates when fighters do that.
Whenever one says they won't ever want to schedule a bout due them being friends that just completely pisses the CEO off and not a smart move to make when you are an employee of said company.
Just look what went on with Aljo and Merab when they were jawing with Suga Show many months ago.
Sterling saying he won't want to fight Merab since they are friends?!
Complete and utter bullsh*t if I ever did see in my life of this happening in a sport.

As for this weekend's fight we had the weigh-ins without any discrepancies:

You can place bets on these fights for this weekend's card here:

Looks like they added Evan Elder vs Darrius Flowers to the early prelims as it is showing as the first bout now.

10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Filipinos Playing crypto games for a living - Developer even says it is gambling on: July 13, 2024, 10:53:50 AM
A similar phenomenon happened here in Venezuela as well, but back in the day it did not have anything to do with cryptocurrency, at all. People here started farming gold on Runescape classic, since the big inflationary crisis we have had in 2016. When Bitcoin and cryptocurrency games become well known and kind of a big market back two years ago, it was usual to see young people investing into Axie Infinity and playing the game using rented axies and equipment, I don't think the market here was as big as it was in the Philippines, but it took the play to earn concept to the main stream media.

Whether it is gambling or not, I believe it depends whom one asks. Some would claim play-to-earn is not sustainable in the long term.
Good thing you had mentioned this.
Many of these players had a launching pad into the online video game community from somewhere.
And many of those started from Runescape.
Heck, even the owner of Stake has mentioned he began his online identity from that gaming platform and learned his financial economy basics from this game. He farmed gold and actually met many of his business partners from joining it early on and even had streamed a session on their weekend races.
But with all of these genre type games it did lose it's value so he only does it for fun on occasion instead of on a daily basis so to level up resulting in more experience and riches.

Filipinos Playing crypto games for a living - Developer even says it is gambling well based on your story this developer just implement the good old days of play to earn so for me this is not gambling and you just play to earn money.

Well if all categories as gambling then playing online game is gambling now, why most of the online game has in game currency that some of it you need to buy using real fiat and thoose in game currency used for an gacha sistem for rare reward you can consider this gambling right haha, heck basically life is a gambling hehe
As mentioned before, it is gambling because anytime a player needs to put any sort of investment into one of these platforms then it is just that-taking a risk.
And what is gambling but Risk taking.
And you are obviously investing one's time into the game.
Are you not? Wink

The ripple lawsuit from the SEC is just about settled and this had been keeping large corporations such as an X from doing business with them.
And what symbolism if they did add XRP to X.
Wouldn't they seem to go hand in hand with each other? Musk could buyout Brad Garlinghouse to instate himself as the new CEO.
He did it to Tesla from the two founders and then with Jack Dorsey formerly known as Twitter.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: July 12, 2024, 02:44:58 AM
I think I am going to stick with Spain. What do you think?
Not the heavy favorites but I do believe they will win this one. The score results could be 1-0 or 2-1 again just like the past games of both teams.
Over 2 is at @1.84 which I think is not bad. My instincts tell me that it will be 2-1 as the total final score.
Personally I would stick with Spain on most of their games but England was a different beast against Netherlands so kinda leaning towards draw though. Im not sure how well England would fare against Spain but this is the final so both team could be pretty cautios instead of risking everything so high chances that this could end with draw. I'll probably take draw on half time though
These euro matches have been going goal less for the first half for almost every match, atleast the ones I had bets on and were watching, which weren't alot.
But there can only be one as in HighLander. Grin
I will go with Spain same with you guys.

And since I still have Lamal to win the youngest player of the tournament bet still in progress until the end so we can't have Bellingham make any sort of miraculous drama show in the final to rob me out of this win.
Remember he was @10.00x before the tournament started as @morvillz7z mentioned it on the thread at the very start.
So thanks goes to him if you happened to grab the tip of this guaranteed hit (which is currently @1.13x).

I think I am going to stick with Spain. What do you think?
I also like Spain in this matchup, but i'd go with "to win the finals or to lift the trophy" once the market is available because it's tough to count England out, they'll always try to find a way to equalize in some way.

The odds are around 1.65-1.70 on some sportsbooks which I think is good enough and maybe we could bump it up to 1.75 with the price boost. If I get another free bet this weekend, i'll include that with another leg in the Wimbledon final.
The market is available and Spain are @1.74x to lift the trophy while England are @2.10x.
Money line are questionable due to what we discussed above with how this tournament has gone with alot of late goals going on to force a draw and being a finals has a higher than usual possibility to go to penalties.
They can be viewed here:
https://sportsbet.io/sports/event/soccer/international/european-championship/spain-v-england-668ef7eeaafd2b00013496c3

As for the pairing these markets up with a leg of the Wimbledon matches, I like the sound of that since 1.74x does sound quite low and putting it alongside with one of those will make taking the bet more alluring to me aswell.

Still have a price boost available so will be waiting to see who I can get at the right price to pair up with the Euro finals.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Filipinos Playing crypto games for a living - Developer even says it is gambling on: July 12, 2024, 12:12:44 AM
The games industry considera this as a marketing campaign, spend money on players sometimes has a better impact than spend that same money on adds, and I see this as a good practice.

And that doesn't happen only in the philipines, that's something that we see all around the wold nowadays. In latam we have some influencers like Fernando Flow who uses his network to promote New games.
This is so very true. They are wanting to have a different approach now. Maybe the rise and fall of Axie Infinity showed future developers of these P2E games the error of their ways.
I remember when the coin was valued very high but when the collapse of FTX happened it suffered until it wasn't worth nearly anything to anyone.

Whenever these developers wanted to make a Play-2-Earn game, their target is always our country - the Philippines. I mean why not? Axie Infinity, Pegaxy, Plants Vs. Undead are the ones that became popular P2E games when it was on hype, and for sure, many people made huge money playing on it.

Playing while earning. This what makes it attractive and for a developing country like the Philippines, it's really attractive especially if you realize that you can earn way more than working 8 hours earning only minimum wage and the best part is, you are only spending at least half of the usual 8 hours working time to earn twice as much. These developers are using our country to attract more investors. As for these crypto games that can be considered as gambling, I don't see any gambling feature from them aside from the fact that you might lose your money if the developers decided to rug pull from their investors.

~
I also remember Wax blockchain as one of the popular options for these gamers.
This Wax blockchain reminded me of the game "Alien Worlds" where you are just clicking and clicking that makes me bored from the first hour of doing it. Cheesy Same with Cryptoblades.
Funny that you mentioned Undead because for the very first time I seen and actually noticed it while visiting a Coin Price Market website as an advertisement and clicked on it. All because I had  posted about this earlier today and wanted to see if it was one of these Pay to Earn games. And was in the least surprised when I did, that it was.

Now there was this thread I had noticed with the same concept over at the altcoin topic that might be the same:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5499333.0

Noticed today on a crypto-influencer channel I was watching they mentioned about new Play To Earn games and they mentioned about this thread I highlighted above and it is infact the very same concept:

https://www.coindesk.com/consensus-magazine/2024/07/08/what-hamster-kombat-did-how-telegram-built-a-web3-gaming-juggernaut

They have millions of new players in the last couple of weeks from when they first launched which is really something to keep on your radar when it comes to these things.

The other ones they had mentioned were Bunny Blitz:
https://www.cryptonite.ae/global/bondex-launches-bunny-blitz-telegram-game
https://www.cryptopolitan.com/bondex-reveals-new-telegram-game

Then to a lesser degree one on shib from the failed not coin:
https://cryptonews.com/news/is-notcoin-doomed-not-price-falls-5-amid-viral-surge-of-new-shiba-inu-alternative.htm
This was from a clicker app which was taken over by botfarms.

Most of these new P2E games are deployed on the platform telegram.

Paolini it's the first Italian able to reach the final in Wimbledon for WTA! Amazing result Smiley
(we have never seen so many big players both female and male here in Italy...)

@aoluain
Alcaraz and Djokovic are the big favorites as finalist ... but lets see if there is any chance for a surprise... both opponents (Musetti and Medvedev) are not easy players...
They showed a graphic of her along with Musetti who is playing against Djokovic tomorrow for his place in the finals aswell.
Imagine if two Italians are in the finals at Wimbledon for both ATP and WTA.
That would bring some pride for the country since not having to the chance to defend their championship in the Euro tournament.

Another sudden surprise was Krejcikova beating Rybakina in the match right after.
Rybakina was the heavy favorite to go against Paolini in the final but Krejcikova somehow pulled it out of the fryer in the last set of the match to go on to win it.
Had a bet on both Paolini with an over 22.5 @3.30x but also put it in a parlay with a Rybakina win @1.19x odds.
What an error on my part to put it together instead of separate bets.

Another non-score for Perez at the British Grand Prix means he has brought home just 15 points in the last six races since the Miami Grand Prix – with team-mate Max Verstappen having contributed 119 in that same period.
He will probably be hurt if you say this to his face.
Redbull's patience seems to be near the end line and Perez would need to deliver some good results the next time he races.
Why?
Quote
And matters are now close to a critical point with it understood that, despite Perez having a contract in place for next year, he could still be dropped – potentially as early as the summer break – if things do not change.
This contract for Perez seemed to just be a place holder for his seat as there was an option available in there by the team to replace him at their full discretion according to this article i saw published about his current situation earlier today:

16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: July 11, 2024, 11:26:05 AM
The production of Esports world cup is pure trash. They had 3 days to solve their problems and yet all the games started with huge delays , networking problems all over again , lag issues on every server and so on.

I can't even watch the games because every 5 minutes there is a pause followed by another pause 5 minutes after the previous one and so on.
You would think they will spend enough on their infrastructure so to not have such production issues because they spent so much on advertising for this event. As you can see from their introduction videos of this tournament and the venue. Those don't look cheap at all with the place having a retracting type of walls.

I would take those just for the odds!
But only for a small amount and not bet the house on them to win outright.
As I have heard of BeastCoast and remember they were good last season when I watched them playing in a tournament and placed bets on them but don't know how they fair lately in this one.
They are on the top teams that qualified so they must be still producing some good results:
https://esports.gg/news/dota-2/riyadh-masters-2024-group-stage
I watched some of their matches and I was impressed and that's why with that kind of odd, I won't let it pass and that's why I was tempted to place a bet on them even though I know that BetBoom is also a good and probably the better team. Anyway, the match is already happening and live now, I hope that my bet on the beastcoast is going to be worth it. Otherwise, it's fine and that's part of gambling as I used to say and there won't be any regrets at all if my bet losses. The match of GG and Heroic was done and it was a surprising upset, I should have bet with that match but that's enough for this day.
Betboom won their match against Beastcoast 2-0.
So in this instance the odds were correct.

Come on, it's just his way of advertising. Who on earth would pay so much attention to Bitcoin only to write against it?! No. He must be (also) invested in bitcoin.
He has to be invested into it. You know how these corporate guys roll.
They don't do what they say in public because it is all camouflage of what they are really doing behind the scenes when it comes to money.
Remember Kevin O'Leary when FTX fell several years ago? He was an ambassador for that circus then he was became evangelical about how the industry was in need of immediate crypto regulation.
Last time I saw him talk about cryptocurrency was while advertising his new venture WonderFi which swallowed up another cryptocurrency exchange when he suddenly wanted to run an exchange. So in his eyes, to undo the wrongs of him being the face of one of the biggest cryptoexchange collapses in recent times.
As for his son being into bitcoin, this might just be one of those ploys to get a narrative for one of his own turning against "the man" so to get some clout out of his elderly followers to do a search of what bitcoin is.

His company does take payment in BTC after all. Wink
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Filipinos Playing crypto games for a living - Developer even says it is gambling on: July 11, 2024, 11:02:04 AM
Just look at the concept which itself is a failure cause it's just free money and anyone who wants to have it can just play the game and have it which means no demand which makes it completely worthless. In the beginning, it might give profits but these all are just short term and it's not new either so the chances of making one-time profit itself is in big question.

And also I just want to mention Gambling involves games but not every game is gambling.
All these video game companies are looking for the secret formula for producing a highly successful concept such as Fortnite had when it was first released.
They were the most popular mobile game of all time where other corporate intellectual property were coming to them wanting to have their product line advertised within their game from the huge number of players they had within their game.

Yeah Merab is at bantamweight so it must of been Suga Sean O'Malley who was at this weightclass last I checked.
But with fighters wanting to change weightclass like it's a fad now (aren't fighters trying to switch to Featherweight just to try and fight Topuria in Spain?) I wouldn't be surprised to see somebody wanting to beef up to lightweight to square off against Paddy in the future.
They are going to try and grab as many headlines as their partnered company the WWE so we could possibly see these weightclasses merging into fights for the future just for the storyline. Look at the match makers trying to get Poatan to fight Jones. Lightheavyweight against a Heavyweight? Don't say it couldn't happen. Cheesy

Khamzat Chimaev was caught promoting a sh*tcoin called SMASH and which had rug pulled all their holders recently.

Now it seems it has costed him a title shot according to what Dana White has said about this latest incident:

I believe it will become a trend that when a champion defends his belt a few times, he increases or decreases his weight to try to fight another champion. The categories become very boring even for the fighters.
Well it seems Stipe Miocic is not really concerning himself with the hold up by Jones in the division and if you had followed him lately, has been living his life the best he can and enjoying himself doing it!

Just found it as an interesting thing for someone who told his clients to sell bitcoin because it will never out do gold.

So my question is, is Schiff slowly accepting bitcoin as something to hold on to alongside gold or still completely bearish on it's existence?
I heard a few months ago his own son is holding some bitcoin which I found hilarious.
