1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is getting addicted to gambling right or wrong? on: June 07, 2024, 11:50:49 PM
You don't need to ask because A person who knows what is right or wrong can determine if addiction is good or not.
Addiction is the worst thing to happen that may cause severe destruction to our lives in terms of relationships and money. There are a lot of discussions showing how it ruins the entire life of a person which I don't want to experience. That is why we should stop thinking that gambling would make us rich instead, we'd rather think that at least we could win something. Because the moment we think about more winnings, the closer it pushes us to addiction.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why you should only hold Bitcoin on: June 07, 2024, 01:26:40 PM
Those who have held Bitcoin will of course have long-term planning in holding it and will certainly be able to gain profits in the future and for some people who have held it for a long time, of course they have made profits earlier than those who have just started, because from the beginning Bitcoin appeared. Until now we can see very good developments and currently many people want to invest in Bitcoin because they have seen that the results that can be obtained from investing in Bitcoin are very profitable, but they have to be able to hold it for a long period of time, there is no harm in it. we follow other people's advice in investing but we also have to have enough knowledge about Bitcoin so as not to follow the wrong advice in investing.
Not everyone understands that and not everyone can hold Bitcoin for a long period of time with all the panic over rapid market price movements so there are many things that must be learned first before deciding to invest in Bitcoin for a long period of time.
If we look at the possibilities, of course the possibility of profits will be much greater for those who hold Bitcoin for a long period of time and we can see all of this from what happened in the past so this is likely to happen in the future.
Well, that is true in the sense that not all are strong and understand the essence of holding. But we don't need to force them to hold when it is against their will because, in the end, they still sell their Bitcoin when the price drops. We just think that this also helps to keep the market volatile and that is okay because, in this way, we are able to buy Bitcoin at a cheaper price especially when weak people dump their coins. Smart investors use the weakness of the person to attract, we buy their coins when panic selling starts to show and hold until the right time comes to sell.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can someone take gambling as a source of income to he/she life? on: June 07, 2024, 10:10:49 AM
Can someone take gambling as a source of income to he/she life? the answer is no unless you are the owner of that gambling site or you are super lucky to win a million dollar invest it and then you can have passive income from it. A stable source of income from gambling in my opinion is not an option and cant be done unless you are super lucky and get monthly win from it.

Tho you can get steady income as a poster and join signature campaign like I did hehehe
Common gamblers win but not sufficiently enough to provide the needs especially if we already have a family but owners would. In fact, many poor people gamble, use their last resort to bet but end up getting nothing but just a ticket. Therefore, no way we have to think of this as our source of income as we can't rely on our future for luck and unstable earnings. It is better to run a small business because even earning just a small amount every day, we are still sure that there is something we get at the end of the day. It is still to be noted that gambling is just for fun, not for earning purposes.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you really want from gambling? on: June 07, 2024, 09:23:34 AM
I gamble because I want to and in the hope of winning. I hope but not in the chase, probably it is a different story which is why even that is my mind, I'd never fall into addiction and still be able to manage my gambling habits. Obviously, it is for money and less entertainment. But whatever it is, gambling is not bad if we are not greedy, not bad if we never chase our losses. It is undeniable that most of us have bad experiences and several losses than winning but we must understand that this is gambling and no matter what we do, our luck is only our ticket to winning.
5  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can I really hold onto my bitcoins in the future? on: June 07, 2024, 07:24:38 AM
Yes you really need to hold onto your Bitcoin in the future because Bitcoin is more profitable when sighted for a long term run depending on howmuch amount of Bitcoin you where able to accumulate in the process, there are things you need to do before you can be able to hodl onto your Bitcoin investment in the future, your discretionary income, setting aside your emergency, reserve and float fund incase there is any unforeseen contengency that may occur so it won't affect you selling out your Bitcoin hodling along the way because you have already kept aside what will take of that, and also with your DCA strategy you can be able to accumulate more Bitcoin in different interval either weekly or monthly as the case may be and hodl for a longer period of time like 4-10 and above in other to have a better profit when your finally want to sell out your Bitcoin hodling.
Until then, it remains optional depending on our plan and goal. It doesn't mean that if we buy Bitcoin, we have to hold it forever, there is no urge for such a thing. But what I did is that I bought during corrections and sold them during price rallies. What I am trying to do is to keep my money growing, not by just letting it stuck and just earning a profit after a few years of holding.

But of course, there is nothing wrong with just holding them, it is been proven for its profit potential. many years from now, it is more likely the demand will be high, causing the price to soar as well.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin gradually turning away from its purpose? on: June 06, 2024, 01:47:33 PM
Like the title explained it all when sighting towards the speculation or trade discussion section I mostly found out that lots of people are gradually turn away the purpose of bitcoin to mainly investment purposes and I mean to asked, was bitcoin created for investment purpose or it's for peer to peer to alternate fiat?

I would love to see different versions of input.
We can never say it is turning away from its real purpose until nobody is buying and selling their Bitcoin. Most exchanges are adding P2P trade which means that they are seeing the growing event in this area. We can say it is for investment purposes because that is what we think but if we try to use this as an alternative currency, we can also say that it was still in the direction of its creation. We can't totally feel it now because only a few people are using it and also still few companies are accepting this but it is actually growing and sooner we really gonna be seeing it boldly.
7  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I hope I'm doing the right thing. on: June 06, 2024, 01:10:45 PM
How did you guys invest in bitcoin as beginners. What was your experience with the market volatility? A lot of people talk how investing in Bitcoin is good but risky, i don't want to rush to invest  bitcoin. I need to be very sure of what I'm planning to go into. I don't know if I am making the right decision or I'm too sluggish to invest. I'm not really convinced maybe because I don't know much. Do you think this delay is good for me? I believe it is good for one to be  sure and understand anything that involves money.
It is better to delay your investment journey rather than rush because it is too risky to deal with the market with an empty mind and no-how about this, you will only just fail in the end. Better make ourselves prepare and invest first in building knowledge and ideas because this is the ticket of our success. We have to think that success never comes too easily and quickly, it all comes after hard work and patience. Therefore, those people who are in the rush mostly experience failure and losses but those who take and follow the process end with pleasure and more success.

OP, you are not just doing it right but you are exemplary in doing it. Having good plans will also result in something remarkable and positive.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never borrow money to be able to gamble on: June 06, 2024, 10:16:20 AM
Indeed, it's a mistake, borrowing money just for gambling is not a good decision and it is highly not adviseable because we don't want to experience something terrible happens once the money that you borrow ended up losing. Think carefully, it's kinda risky to bet the money that you borrowed because how will you supposed to pay that amount if you will use it in gambling and lose?
When a gambler is disoriented after a loss in gambling, he tries to stay immersed in gambling. He tries his best to recover his lost money quickly. He does not take his bank loan or borrowing money seriously at that time. He needs money. getting money His reckless gambling quickly depleted that money. He suffers mentally and financially helpless. In reality he cannot consciously do anything that he does at that time. But when he loses that money, the pressure to pay off his bank loan comes badly. This is how a gambler gets ruined. Gambling with one's own money can make good decisions in gambling but when a gambler tries to manage gambling with borrowed money, he will be under the stress of gambling as well as the stress of debt which will definitely have a negative effect on his gambling.
A responsible gambler knows what is best and the right thing to do. Gambling is not wrong but borrowing money for the sake of this addiction could end in terrible losses and ruin their lives. Yes, the impact is not just for a short while and it is over but it continues forever unless we stop gambling.
This is too hard to say but what really happens in gambling is that the more we spend money, the more possible we lose. And most of all, we don't make our losses a reason to chase winning because whether we like it or not, we can't recover them anymore. More pressure, more mistakes, and more losses.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is a fatal mistake on: June 05, 2024, 11:31:30 PM
This is just an example of so many things that will happen when we can't control our gambling addiction. It is sad to hear but an irresponsible gambler couldn't think and realize the welfare of other people (his family) and their future while still, they are in the stage of addiction.
It ruins everything...
 - family relationships
 - finance
 - reputation

The worst thing that and is already happened to some gamblers is killing themselves (suicide) and committing crimes.
This will simply illustrate to us how important is to deal with our gambling habit and not let our addiction take over.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are memecoins really important for the crypto market? on: June 05, 2024, 01:11:25 PM
Despite the hype and the popularity that these meme coins brought to the crypto space, still doesn't change the fact that these coins are not built for long-term investment but just for short-term deals. Or potentially reliable.

I won't say they are totally not important because for some reason this also gives a chance for investors to earn money while participating in the hype. But because the majority of meme coins are scams (and turn scams) this won't convince us that it was made with good intentions and that people will still be okay without them than losing their money.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Has Never Been A Scam. on: June 05, 2024, 12:18:39 PM
Bitcoin is reliable but people who don't know will continue to castigate the name of bitcoin, the only that makes bitcoin to look as even is a scam is due to government and the level of attack they are attacking bitcoin, so I know very well that the procrastination of government towards Bitcoin is what makes people to have doubts of bitcoin, so without that I don't think that people may loss interest, upon government kind of bad character to bitcoin still bitcoin is still flourishing in the market, for me, I know very well that we need to understand that government is against bitcoin and that is why it look as if bitcoin is a scam.
Nothing has made Bitcoin a scam but just scammers and it ruins its reputation due to scam involvement using the name Bitcoin. This actually confuses the community because of the widespread scam issues but for us who know the situation and already have knowledge about Bitcoin, we can say it is not true.

Proper education is needed to correct all misconceptions about Bitcoin and the only solution to clear such issues. But until there are scammers, scams continue, and also because greedy people are easy to fool by sweet promises made by scammers.

Whether we like it or not, Bitcoin remains vulnerable to this scam issue as we can't stop scammers.
12  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't do this mistakes in trading on: June 05, 2024, 11:23:47 AM
Committing mistakes is normal but committing the same mistake all over again and again is somewhat not good anymore as it looks like we are not learning nor we would like to change. Many people had learned from their mistakes in the past so they improved and became successful. I think that committing mistakes is a good tool to make someone push themselves to learn more and become careful in their actions. More experience, more mistakes but on the other hand, it creates also more learnings.
You are right about that opinion, making lots of mistakes will be a good lesson. But sometimes someone cannot escape from these mistakes and always repeats them. This also depends on how mentally they carry out trading. It won't improve if you can't train your mentality, you always panic and even sell when prices crash. I always try to use the losses that occur as a reference for the future and mark these mistakes. so the profits will be more than the losses.
Supposedly that is the thing we should do but too unfortunate that only a few have the consideration of correcting their mistakes while the majority are still blind and continue their wrongdoings.

We would say that there is no perfect trader that exists, we all commit mistakes but we don't make this a reason for our total failure when we know there is the best solution for this. It is certainly hard but if our goal is to become successful then we have to influence our minds to think in a positive way, not the negative one.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Committing mistakes helps us to become a responsible gambler. on: June 05, 2024, 07:42:48 AM
Therefore, I would say that we don't have to be afraid of committing mistakes because this also helps us to see things that we need to change and become a responsible gambler.
I would like to agree you with you but here I also want to mention that those people don't have to go afraid about committing mistakes who have learn from their mistakes but those who don't learn from there mistakes and keep doing the same mistakes again and again for those I think it's a really a thing to be afraid.
In this case of gambling every gambler should learn from there mistakes As I say myself in the beginning when I started gambling I found that I was investing in gambling beyond my means and for which I had to face problems later but when I realized that gambling was more of a frustration than a joy.
That is for real. People see gambling as for entertainment and social gatherings before but now, it is more than the chase of money and greed fulfillment. I don't want to say this but the new generation of gamblers are more addicted and irresponsible. And the gamblers never find mistakes to make their style change but just ignore and continue committing it. They are more risk takers but sadly, they are also too emotional which easily lose their minds and become careless. That is why I hope they will help themselves to realize how important to become a responsible gambler.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do people lose in gambling and still go ahead and bet more? on: June 04, 2024, 01:14:45 PM
Addiction is the major problem that will make anyone to continue gambling even when he is losing because he cannot control himself on when to stop gambling, maybe because he is busy chasing his losses. Another thing is when a gambler is using gambling to pass time will always continue gambling even though they are running at loss.

A gambler can also continue gambling even at loss because he is having fun and have not exceed his gambling budget, he will keep on gambling.

You are right, bro. Those gamblers that still continue gambling after losing so much do not realize that the gambling system is designed in such a way a way that it only favors the casino greatly while the gamblers are primarily the ones at loss. It's necessary for a gambler to only stake with the money they are ready to gamble off, so that once they lose all that money to the casino, they can just stop and go back home. If I want to gamble, I usually deposit the amount I want to gamble off, and if I have also won a good amount, I will just withdraw a specific amount from my winnings so that I don't end up losing it all too.
Unfortunately, only a few gamblers know how it works and follow while the majority have fallen into their greed and addiction.
That is why casinos are growing because the system works effectively which favors their business. However, this won't mean that gambling is bad because it still depends on the gambler's behavior. In fact, there is a warning given to all gamblers "Gamble responsibly" but what really happens is that more gamblers become irresponsible. This happens because they can't control themselves and instead of making gambling as a sort of entertainment, they now consider it as other sources of income.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin not coin memecoin on: June 04, 2024, 11:48:54 AM
Meme coins are just for fun and hype, nothing else but Bitcoin is different, a coin that can be trusted despite the up and down situation of the market. Yes, it drops too low but it recovers and reaches high. Maybe 10 years from now, we can't ensure to see meme coins but Bitcoin, it is very possible and that is because the community continues giving support as they/we trust this.

That is why we must know the project we invest in because innocence is not an excuse for our losses as we can simply avoid it if we care about our money.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you understand entertainment? on: June 04, 2024, 08:12:44 AM

Or maybe entertainment for you is something else?
There is no other meaning other than being happy with what you are doing  (being entertained). But our emotions mix it up and instead, we entertain ourselves by gambling, it becomes a reason for our regrets and disappointments.

I believe that gambling was for entertainment before but now, it is nothing. Why? People gamble for the sake of money, not for the sake of having enjoyment. That is the sad reality but yes, gamblers often change because of their needs and they think that gambling is the answer to their financial problems.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't you think you should invest in Bitcoin instead of burning your money in fire on: June 04, 2024, 07:47:34 AM
This is the real thing about investing in Bitcoin and even in other investments. Even if you have money and the capacity to invest, not all of them will think that investment is good until they realize it, and much more on students. Because we all have different priorities and wants, especially for students they more likely prefer good vibes and spending money for enjoyment but are skeptical about future plans.

Indeed, it was regretful OP but there is perfect timing when it comes to investment. As a student, you better focus on studying and saving, just consider investing when you are fully ready. Investing is not all about money and capital and proper preparation and knowledge.
18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Exchanges Nowadays on: June 04, 2024, 06:42:45 AM
Our country can relate here, Binance which is the most popular exchange around the world and it has the biggest volume and it is being attacked by our government also.
You are right when you say that this is mate, as long as we can use the exchange that is also a bit loose in the country we are in. The risk is also quite high when an exchange is not accepted in a country.

Usually in these countries, it's not as risky as you think. I again mention about Indonesia and Philippines or Thailand for example. They may close down Binance but they won't seize funds.

And Binance has always paid out all customers even when exiting the country. This was seen in UK and other Europe countries.

And if you know how to use location access it can still progress Smiley
I'm still using Binance exchange despite banning in our country and I see a lot of our countrymen still using this until now.
Wherever we are, it is very important to choose an exchange that shows positive and truthful reviews, not scripted and paid reviews. It is very important to listen to what people are giving advice but I believe that OP has the right to choose which exchange he/she feels better and what is "better" means for him/her.

For me, I'd never pay attention to new exchanges but rather choose the old because these exchanges have already (good/bad) stories and transactions that can be the basis of our selection.
19  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin reach another new ATH before the bull run begins? on: June 03, 2024, 11:47:57 AM
snipped...

Based on history, we are not yet in a bull season or a bull season that everyone is waiting for, the entire market will be bullish, including many altcoins and memes that bring 10x, 100x returns, then we are not yet in bull season.

Everyone thinks about the bright future of bitcoin but I believe most people will sell their bitcoins in the upcoming bull season because of life so it's no surprise that they are concerned about the final ATH. Frankly speaking, no one doesn't want to buy at the lowest price and sell at the highest price, those who say they don't care are lying. But I believe that predicting bitcoin's final ATH will be difficult if not impossible, so we need to have a specific target and should sell when bitcoin reaches the target we set.

Can't hold them either knowing that not all are for the long-term, many take their chance to make a profit in every price increase.
I could still remember in the past Bullrun where the majority held their Bitcoin thinking that it would continue to pump but a sudden drop came and missed the ATH. That influences their mind and that also changes their investment approach where they sell without waiting for the ATH.

Well, setting a target price is a good strategy but be sure it is achievable. Or else, we are hoping for nothing, and still, it ends in a bad story.
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Scammers are the smart ones, be careful. on: June 02, 2024, 07:10:46 AM
Indeed, they will target people who are not smart and innocent. Therefore, we need to be smart as well like them and act cautiously to give no hint that we are weak and innocent. The moment we show them our greediness, and innocence and are able to communicate with them, that will give them an idea of how they attacked us.

So we have to be careful whom we talk with on social media, most of them are scammers, especially when they talk about money and investments. We have to keep our minds open and think that there is no easy money in the world nor think about quick rich investment, a word from scammers.
