801  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever felt remorse after gambling? on: June 18, 2023, 11:30:46 AM
Yeah I felt remorse when I was gamble to earn money, but I learn to accept losses and find the enjoyment through gambling, I never felt remorse after gambling anymore. It's all about your mindset, someone who gamble without looking to earn money will not mad or sad when if they lose. Remember, gamble isn't for everyone especially people who still earn less than their monthly needs.
Disappointments and regrets/remorse, I indeed feel those things and sometimes it happens to me. Why? Because the moment that I gamble, I'm already expecting to win and very unfortunate that it never ends like that where losses are gonna happen even if we don't like it. That is why I've practiced stopping thinking about winning and imagining it and rather thinking that I was enjoying this so it never hurts me more but less pain. It is accepted that it was hard to get lucky in gambling rather than being too unlucky that's why we often lose than bring home the jackpot prize.
802  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop stressing kids with bitcoin on: June 18, 2023, 10:57:41 AM
Kids should be given their space. If we were specific about the age group, it'll be better whether the kids can be taught about bitcoin or not. Even the educated people who have got used to technology find it hard to understand bitcoin. How does the kids understand about bitcoin, it is really tedious process. Teaching things at the right age will be beneficial and easy understanding than early teaching. So, it is good to let kids enjoy their childhood than forcing them towards something that is not for them.
It was a big challenge to teach them and it was not just on our part but also on their side as well.
Of course, it was good at their young age they will know about Bitcoin and its key role in the crypto space. But encouraging them to think bigger about investing, seems not the appropriate time. Yes, it should be done at the right age and that is when they are capable enough to make decisions on their own. It should not be forced, learning can be easy when they are ready and interested about that stuff.
803  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 18, 2023, 06:27:23 AM
The suspension almost certainly means that Morant will not be eligible for any end-of-season awards in 2024, such as MVP and All-NBA. Under the new Collective Bargaining Agreement that goes into effect July 1, a player must appear in 65 games (with limited exceptions) to be eligible for awards.

I know it could have been worse, but this is significant enough, however If the Grizzlies can survive and be a good position for those 25 games, then it could be a blessing in disguise for them having the best player heavily refreshed with 25 games gone already could put them in better spot for a potential post season run.
I hope the team can stay composed despite what has happened. In fact, I believe this is a significant challenge for Ja Morant and the team. It will be crucial to keep the core of the team intact in the face of these circumstances. The blame should be put entirely on Ja Morant. When the leader of a team makes a silly mistake, it can certainly have an impact on the entire team. Nevertheless, I have a feeling that Morant may not remain with the team for long if the team does not perform anymore based on expectation.
804  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When Placing A Trade, How Long Does It Take For The Order To Be Filled? on: June 17, 2023, 09:46:58 PM
I have a Coinbase account.
I Buy Bitcoin hoping that it will go up.
It goes up and I would like to close the trade.
I open the order and the only option I have is to "Cancel Order."
I'm assuming it's because the order has not yet been filled.
Once the order is filled I will be able to close the trade.

It's been 30 minutes and the order has not yet been filled. So I canceled the order.
How long does it take for an order to be filled?
It actually depends on the market situation and the price set. Of course, we can't expect to have it filled when the volume is low and the price is moving slowly while we are setting the price too high. We have to consider that trading is also a competition as we are not the only person who is trading and wanted to get filled with our order. For if we are selling, the cheaper price offered will get too fast but if we are also buying, the higher offer will then easily get filled.
805  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: June 17, 2023, 02:30:10 PM

Just think of this, Inoue fought Donaire twice but could not even give Casimero a chance to fight him.

Easy money for Bob Arum, lesser risk with high rewards that at stake, Donaire is more popular than Casimero. We all know that,
the international fans covered a widespread for making huge amounts of money.

But, looking also at that point, if Inoue is really hunger in challenging rising stars like him, it's better to take Casimero, both on their primes
and the fame and achievements of whoever will win value a lot more since fans do love fighters without a fear.

Though we never know what fate will be, maybe chances of seeing them just like Mayweather and Pacquiao will happen along the way.

Your explanation is on point. Donaire is indeed more popular compared to Casimero, and he is no longer in his prime, which is why Top Rank was able to easily arrange the fight. Defeating a popular fighter like Donaire would also make Inoue more popular, ultimately benefiting the promoter and increasing Inoue's value in the world of boxing.

However, I am optimistic that the time will come when they will still face each other, with Casimero as the challenger and Inoue as the defending champion. Hopefully, this will happen by next year, as it wouldn't be ideal to see a prime Inoue fighting Casimero, who is no longer in his prime.
806  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: June 17, 2023, 02:04:22 PM

Good pick indeed hehe. NorthPort won by just six points. I saw the box score and found out that in the second quarter, Ginebra only manage to score 9 points versus the 32 points of NorthPort, that's the turning point of the game.

Capital or bankroll (whatever they called it) is now at 5,505 Php, hope this will be doubled on the end of the PBA On tour. BTW, when will these tune-up games end, anybody had an idea?

Congratulations on your win! However, I'm just curious about the betslip you shared. I'm not familiar with it. Would you mind sharing which sportsbook you are using? It displays in pesos, and I would love to try it as well.
807  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: is right time for investment ? on: June 17, 2023, 01:01:44 PM
Well, just noticed that most of the new projects are certainly looking good and promising. That was a trick to gain attention and attract investors, in fact, they are actually selling their product because nobody will get interested if they already looked scammy.

So asking if this is a good investment. Until a certain project doesn't show a progressive performance, I would never say it was worth investing in. Choosing a project to invest in is not just about popularity but must have a use case.
808  Economy / Speculation / Re: The low support level may still be tested during 2023. on: June 16, 2023, 09:56:21 PM
I really wouldn't be surprised or disappointed if bitcoin price tests the low support below $20k again in 2023 (but I'm sure it won't). Even though bitcoin is still trading above $24k at the moment, the possibility of a drop cannot be ignored. I don't think prices will hold well over the next few months, so of course I need to set up a budget to plan my purchases and build a strong portfolio.

Don't panic, do some analysis and collect some bitcoins if you have more budget. I will be doing this for the rest of the year and hope it will benefit me for years to come. Don't sell at loss, that's good advice for anyone holding it so far.
Despite the SEC issue between this known exchange Binance, I was not thinking that it becomes a reason for Bitcoin's price to fall to $20k (again). This situation only give a huge impact on Binance and BNB, with less effect on the entire market. Meaning, Bitcoin prices will fall but not to the extent that they drop badly. We don't need to believe those FUDs saying huge dump, will it does during the bear season but because of the said issue. So, I still hold and probably have to buy more when dumpers sell their coins at a cheap price.
809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC lawsuit caused massive market crash on: June 16, 2023, 09:39:45 PM
So in this kind of opportunity, we should really take advantage of it by buying and then maybe we can continue doing it thru DCA if your goal is long term. And obviously the best time to sell and take home profits is during the next bull run.
Many people have advised everyone about it, but there is great doubt that altcoins are the asset they should choose. Experienced investors with big budgets will accumulate assets when the market crashes due to FUD, but most others will ignore them and are instead willing to wait for another downturn. They will be too late because in the end expectations are not met after the market recovers the same way every price dump.

Well, we can't force small players to act like whales and buy more Bitcoin. Because investing should be placed at the right time and it should be our will to do it as forcing ourselves when we are in doubt will end up in regrets and blaming, better to wait until we really have the courage to do it to avoid the undesirable end. With these FUDs circulating on the internet it makes people worry about the future of crypto and their mind is full of worries and negativity, and to give trust is very hard for them.
810  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: June 16, 2023, 11:42:40 AM
We all know that he is not getting any younger, so training hard and timing should be just perfect for him before the fight.

I doubt a hard training will take place. More probably, he just needs to maintain his good shape and try to achieve the very best condition he can get until the weigh-in. Hard training isn't a good way to condition Donaire at this point. He will surely be doing his usual routine operation of training every single day.

His experience will tell him what's the best strategy to execute in the fight. He's done with the hard training and no need to undergo that.

Not saying Nonito should just relax. I'm saying what should be effective way is, proper mind conditioning while doing light workouts e.g daily jog etc.

That's their basic job – to stay in condition so they can fight at 100% during the fight night. Donaire is not new to the world of boxing; he has already won multiple championships, so we can expect that he will not get careless with his conditioning. Additionally, we can consider his age as a factor. Hard training may not be advisable for someone his age, but what's important is that he trains the right way, so he can execute the game plan effectively during the fight.
811  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: June 16, 2023, 11:21:54 AM

Who among the bettors is brave enough to take the moneyline odds?

I didn't bet on the game, but by the looks of it, it seems like DYIP has a decent chance of winning now as they are leading the game. It's already the 3rd quarter, and there is still plenty of time left, so there's no assurance as to which team will win. However, if you happened to bet on the underdog, I'm certain you're feeling positive now.

DYIP indeed won the game dominantly with a score of 110-96.

It was a profitable night for the bettors who took the risk and placed their money on the DYIP's moneyline odds. This PBA tour has been quite predictable, favoring the underdog. Typically, even if the underdog loses, they often manage to cover the point spread, and if they win, bettors enjoy a substantial return. In summary, betting on the underdog has proven to be profitable during this tour.
812  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price and my mindset on: June 15, 2023, 09:57:15 PM
In my opinion, the current month and period tends to be a bull period or an increase in the price of Bitcoin. We should check CoinMarketCap frequently for the latest information on Bitcoin prices, which is a good way to stay up-to-date on market movements. However, it is important to follow market developments closely and analyze the information obtained before making investment decisions in cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin. Always doing thorough research and finding reliable sources of information can help you make an informed decision.
You don't even need to stress yourself about going to Coinmarketcap to check the current price of Bitcoin when you can always che k your wallet for the price without stressing yourself navigating for the price of Bitcoin. We are in the bear season and it time for us to expect the bull movement of Bitcoin that woukd be coming to us soon. I am very happy that op had in mind to invest part of the profits in made in Bitcoin to invest in physical business for his wife. It seems that we are in the night of the season and when the morning comes, we are going to see what the bear season has for us in full package.
As we are holding long-term, it was not necessary to keep checking the value of Bitcoin every day unless we are a trader. Checking every day makes a reason why some got panic when drops come, they'll think that it never rises again. Real investors don't often check their assets as they just gain information fro the news and rely on trust that Bitcoin will rise and be bullish every 4-year cycle and when the time has come, that's the moment they will check on it. That's how they manage their investment, unlike us small players that we keep our life busy checking every day and stress ourselves.
813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buy ETH as much as you can.... on: June 15, 2023, 09:25:09 PM
I see ETH to become next blessing in disguise, I remember when it was around $100 people condemned it not to go anywhere within the space of a month interval ETH shuck the price in 500% increase and today is about $1800 let's watch and see ETH will create unbreakable records, channel some useless coins you have to ETH and relax in future.
Perhaps, we can buy more if we really think it was good and profitable. I have some ETH already but this current drop doesn't encourage me to buy more but just waited for the next bull season because I realized that having more ETH is not a good idea rather than having more of Bitcoin. Why? Of course, we know that ETH is also a promising coin but considering how it grow and make recovered (very slowly), we can never expect big returns, unlike Bitcoin. A reason why even if it drops, the buying demand is still low.
814  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 15, 2023, 08:07:35 PM
I honestly do not expect Lakers to lose Lebron, he will stay there without a doubt, he won't move until his son is in the league, which will be another season if I am not wrong, if that were to ever happen then I am guessing that the only way he leaves is to go where his son is drafted and have one last season there.

Only he will know if he will stay or not. We don't know what decision he will make in the future as he is very unpredictable. He always wants to win a championship to cement his legacy, but the Lakers fell short last season, so he might consider joining another team to increase his chances of winning a championship. However, this is just my perception, and I could be wrong.

Regarding his son, aside from his father is a popular icon in the NBA,  based on his stats, how high is his chance of getting in the NBA?
815  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: June 14, 2023, 01:32:24 PM
Who was able to bet on the Blackwater Bossing against Converge? I checked the odds before the game, and they were very attractive for the Bossing. I was actually considering placing a bet, but I got busy and ended up forgetting about the upcoming game. It's frustrating; it could have been easy money.  Smiley

The score was 97-102
816  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 14, 2023, 08:44:27 AM

I just want to ask because I want to have a different topic here aside from the ones that you have right now. We know already that Lillard wants to be out of Trail Blazers already. Now there hasn't been any confirmation, but the team that might suit him the best is the Miami Heat. What do you think? Will Lillard really fit with the Heat, and if yes, who will be the ones that they're willing to give for him?
I have reservations about Lillard's suitability for the Miami Heat. His style of demanding the ball and taking many shots may not align with the Heat's system, where players work diligently and share the ball effectively. However, if he is willing to make adjustments, I believe he has the potential to fit in well. Moreover, Lillard is a remarkable individual, and if he can adapt to the team's system, there should be no problem integrating smoothly.
You can never tell until you see him play. I'm sure he isn't inconsistent like Westbrook, and just imagine if the Heat were to acquire Lillard and pair him with Butler. They would become more unpredictable, as both Butler and Lillard could carry the team. Additionally, Lillard would learn to play great defense, an aspect they didn't emphasize as much in Portland.

If he fits with the system maybe he can be a good addition to the team, but my personal take, Miami needs big role player
who can help Bam inside.

They are missing shots and they only got slim chance to grab the offensive rebounds, with big man inside the chance of getting another
chance will give them opportunity to reset the rotation.

But like what you said, we never know till we see them playing together. Let see if Heat will go and offer him something.

The Heat have suddenly started playing like the Warriors, heavily relying on their 3-point shooting despite not being known for it. Their big men consist of Kevin Love and Zeller, both of whom have already passed their primes. If they manage to add another big man, although it's uncertain who that would be, I believe they will improve.

However, it would be difficult to resist the allure of Lillard. If he wants to be traded, the question remains: who would be traded for him? Alternatively, if he becomes a free agent, can the Heat's salary cap accommodate him?
817  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what is your opinion on shikoku inu? on: June 12, 2023, 12:19:15 PM
From the name I can guess that this altcoin is a meme coin. I'm trying to find information on this altcoin on CMC and the price isn't tracked, maybe this meme coin isn't very popular yet so no one is trading it yet or the volume is very small. I can't say it's potential but if this meme coin can get as hype as shiba then the $1 you invest now could make you rich. there's no harm in trying, even if you have to lose $ 1 I think it's fine too  Cheesy
I think you don't need to waste your time looking where it was listed nor to see its price as it seems you don't find it.
Well, another shitcoins, another meme coin, they are actually flooded in the market and only a fool or a blind investor will buy this coin. I believe it was very cheap and those who have limited money and those who are looking for cheap will take the bait.

Hyped can be possible in all meme coins but simply it works when some influencers drive on it but this Shikoku Inu, yes, we haven't seen or heard it until it was posted here.
818  Economy / Economics / Re: Fake support? on: June 12, 2023, 11:11:45 AM
Any country banning bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general should already know that it's for the time being and not permanent, as some time into the future, they will have no choice but to allow their citizens participate in what citizens of other countries are participating in, China know this too well, and I won't be surprised if this be the beginning of China becoming a crypto friendly nation/country..

Too late to realize their wrongdoings because they are too selfish not to see the good things it contributes to their people. Given this example to China and with the growing numbers of countries that support and adopt crypto, they'll be moving back on it. I'd see how the countries compete with each other and they don't want to get behind with other but rather make the extent of their power and crowd support. As China opens the door to crypto again, I'm very certain that it will give a huge impact on the crypto space, and prices will surge high again.
819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you stop gambling (sports betting, casino e.t.c)? on: June 12, 2023, 10:25:16 AM
Gambling brings so much joy especially when you're on the winning side, when things are all in your favor it just seems like you should never stop. But when it gets bad, you look for a way to pour out your anger, either on someone or on something.
When someone is addicted to gambling I feel it's worst than one who's addicted to drugs.
Too much enjoyable that sometimes we missed checking our pockets and it was empty already because we are chasing our losses and luck.
Well, that exactly happens when we think that gambling could give us money, and that is when we think this could be the solution to our financial problem. Unfortunately, this will even add more problems financially.
Quote
The question is if you're a gambler or have someone who is, what's the best way to help out. And what's your story on escaping that addiction (gambling)...

How do you fight this battle?
The best thing to do is to stop and put an end to our connection to anyone who is a gambler. Staying away from them could easily make us to move on and forget about the stuff we do in the past.
820  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hi Im trader over 12 years of experince here is my goal on: June 12, 2023, 03:40:45 AM
Im trader over 12 years of experince.
I like to challenge myself iwill use mainly moving average indicator.
My goal is to start with 7$ and in 15 days i'll turn this into 229376$
I'll post here results when i have done this my PNL from binance.

I would be patiently waiting to see how you want to turn $7 to such kind of big amount of money which looks wird to us. But looking at the indicator you said you are going to be using, it is quite surprising to see that moving average is going to be use alone and it's going to be giving you a big sum of amount when we all know that moving average is a lagging indicator that should not be used alone when trading in the market. If you choose to use moving average with other indicators then that's fine but I still don't get how you intend to come up with that kind of results.
Seems no one will not able to believe it because of the short time frame and even saying reaching it for 3 months is still not possible. Because even OP has a long experience in trading, it is on our mind the doubts and uncertainties but of course, we let him show what he got after 15 days as he is saying. But for me, it is a failed attempt, and can't imagine reaching that sum of amount from a $7 trading capital no matter what we do, unless he makes an instant deposit of $229k.
