Two games upcoming.

3;00 PM sched.

Converge (+9.5) vs Meralco (+9.5)

It's automatic, I leaned on the Meralco on this one with the spread.
I was watching from unathorized stream but it keeps getting take down, so no choice but to just monitor on the score. maybe it's possible to watch it on local tv but since I'm quite busy with my online job now, I could not watch it.

Wow! That one was too easy, Meralco is up by 29 points now, so no way Converge would be able to cover the handicap. It's still not over yet, but 1 quarter and a half is not enough to comeback from this huge deficit, and knowing how defensive Meralco is, they wouldn't allow any comeback as they are very discipline when it comes to defense.

Congrats.

6: 15 PM sched

TNT (+1.5) vs SMB (-1.5)

I think this is a good chance to bet on TN as it was reported that SMB will be bringing a new import today. With that, we can expect some chemistry problem, and I think RHJ would be able to take advantage on that.

In the last game, I also have TNT to win by 11+, actually had some parlay with Meralco with the same winning margin, so wish me luck for this risky bet.

This one I would not follow, 11+ is too high, so I'll go on the safe side. Perhaps I'll just wait for the live and see how the SMB import will play, if he couldn't find the rhythm, then time to hit the TNT bet.

As for Beal, he will be out for a few weeks, and it's good that it wasn't that serious at all. It's just a bit unfortunate that in all of their 25 games, Durant, Beal, and Booker only played 1 game, and they lost on that one as well. I wonder if this might be the same as what happened with the Nets when they still got Harden, Irving, and Durant.

Beal hasn't come back fully yet and he was injured again. I wonder how it would affect his confidence now knowing that he hasn't contributed to the team yet. It was always been Durant and Irving who  had consistent contribution to the team, but without Beal which they gave up players for him, I doubt the Suns will have a chance to be in the championship this season, even if Durant and Booker would play like their usual.

Afterward, Suns coach Frank Vogel said that X-rays were negative.

This is the only good news! At least there's still a chance.

264  Other / Off-topic / Re: Simple advice, don't get carried away by people success stories. on: December 16, 2023, 09:45:17 PM
Most of the newbies fall into scam projects because of their lack of knowledge and greediness. Not a surprise in their case but they should have changed how it looks besides there are a lot of ways to do that.

 - We should not believe someone who shows their wealth/money and encourages us to invest in their products
 - we should not rush instead, must think several times and do research
 - we have to that success doesn't come easily so stop believing sweet promises and instant money, it is a big lie

Nobody gets scammed if nobody lets it happen and these scammers stop if we don't welcome them.
265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Prove me wrong: Gambling is both more relaxing and entertaining than trading! on: December 16, 2023, 02:19:56 PM
Generally, gambling is entertaining and trading isn't.

If you are both gambler and trader at the same time, you'll already know the answer to this. Me, I see gambling as a way to have fun while trading is for serious venture, either a job or business but we are expected to be profitable for our end result. However, in gambling, regardless of the outcome, there's still that entertainment value we would get if maintain being responsible in gambling.

Sometimes, after I trade, when I could cash out some profit, I use it in gambling to relieve the stress in trading.

Took Magnolia ML @2.40
Nice timing, good lukc with your bet. Magnolia is a team that you can trust especially in the 2nd half as they are good in coming back. Paul Lee is playing, I thought he was injured last time, so this is a close Magnolia team that is down by a double digit. I believe they can make a come back in the 3rd quarter and we will have a close game in the last quarter.

By the way, it's already 77-75 now, ROS only is leading by 2 points.

Nice timing indeed. With two minutes left in the ball game, Magnolia is leading now with 4 points. Shots were not falling now for ROS like in the first half. It nice to see somehow ROS defeating Magnolia here but seems the experience and confidence of Magnolia is too much for ROS.
What a game for ROS, but still Magnolia shows a veterans move its just that they fell short.
I forgot to place a bet, lucky to those who took the risk for ROS. Well, PBA is getting more interesting when the top teams are playing, Magnolia incur their first loss this conference, too bad for them though, they should not be complacent next time.

You are lucky if you were to bet on the Magnolia because their win streak was stopped.

Barroca was the reason  why the Magnolia had a lead in the remaining few minutes, but unfortunately he was also the reason why they lose. I didn't see Bey taking more shots, he should be the one diving the ball inside as he could potentially get fouled, and with good FT shooting, Magnolia will surely be able to get production from him.
267  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Unknown fact our profitable colleagues won't tell us on: December 16, 2023, 01:25:33 PM

it's not by taking multiple trades, it's about the quality of the trades that makes the difference.
After all, we are the makers of our trading journey, we can't rely on others or think that they would help us. That is why we don't assume that even successful traders will tell their strategies ( or secrets) we make it the same. I say no because as you have said, it depends on the quality of our trade and the way we respond to the market changes. Perhaps, we can gain success by our way of trading, our strategies, and of course, our pursuit of our goal. Because no matter how many mentors will accompany and teach us, it is different when we are trading alone.
268  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: December 16, 2023, 12:05:47 PM
What are your thoughts on the Brooklyn vs Warriors tomorrow?

Warriors are back at home and will be hosting Brooklyn, as we all have witness the struggle of the Warriors, the question is, can we still trust them to win even at home. By the way, those who aren't updated, Draymond is suspended so Warriors are gonna be playing without Draymond in most of their games.

The handicap for the Brookly is +3.5, I'm thinking of betting on the moneyline.
269  Economy / Economics / Re: Growth mindset versus fixed mindset on: December 15, 2023, 09:42:04 PM

Since, ones mindset can be changed, it's better for one to develop a growth mindset towards all one's activities in life to achieve a great result. Develop a growth mindset toward all your goals today to improve on your business, studies, etc.
Both mindsets will earn success( one step away) but those who have a growth mindset, and the meaning itself will tell us that there are more improvements happen than those who have a fixed mindset. But of course, a fixed mindset can be changed if they are open-minded and if they are looking for more opportunities. But either of the two we belong if we don't work hard and no action is taken, nothing happens.

Mindset + action = success
Mindset + no action = fail

270  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is hard!!! on: December 15, 2023, 02:18:24 PM
It's funny how people see trading as a Ponzi or get rich scheme.
It was an assumption and people say this because they are not trading but if they do this in real life, they will find out the truth about how hard is trading.
If I hear someone saying like this, I simply ignore it and never argue with him. I can't change one's mindset if it is already been closed to the reality. That is why I don't encourage people to trade unless they have positivity in mind and of course, they are willing to listen and open for some advice. Trading is not hard to understand but what it makes hard is that we can't make it perfect. No matter what we do, we still experience losses.
271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think will be the next hype in crypto? on: December 15, 2023, 11:35:55 AM
From memecoins to nft's etc what do you think will be the next hype of 2024 or 2025? I personally think of real utility and true privacy. I think CBDC's and constant blockchain tracking will scare a lot of people and they will want true privacy something that monero can bring. Privacy by default is what will be highly desired and needed in the coming future as it will be highly beneficial. Nobody wants to be tracked 24/7 of everything they do.

What do you think?
2022 - we have this NFT pump
2023 - another meme hypes
2024 - I foresee AI projects seems to be popular
2025 - certainly we have no idea

But after all, that is subject to change believing that anything happen in the future has not been told yet. It is just a sort of market event prediction but there is one thing I was sure of that 2025 the market went bullish.
272  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does technical analysis work in crypto trading? on: December 14, 2023, 09:59:14 PM
For all my 5 months in trading, I'm learning only technical analysis but now everyone is talking about the concept of "Smart Money". So I think that trading is changing and speculators should stop trading based on technical analysis. Or smart money just a concept that cannot possibly work in the market,
I don't know where you get that "smart money", I'm new to that.
But anyway, TA is very important in trading and a must to learn. This is a tool that would help us earn a profit and by analyzing the market trend, particularly on the coin we use to trade, we have an idea of when to buy/sell. It makes no sense to be in trading if you don't do this and even a simple analysis has an impact on our trade, how much more if really give more time doing this? However, this won't give us assurance that everything went well, losses are still possible.
273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk - February 2024 in Saudi Arabia on: December 14, 2023, 01:40:32 PM
Ngannou wasn't able to fully knock him out and it's a little bold to say that he didn't won. Yes, he won, he performed way better than Tyson Fury and actually won it but referees were very biased and said that Tyson Fury won.

Ref does not score the fight, it's the judges.

I understand your sentiment, probably you are one of the many who were disappointed with the result, but that's boxing, it is what it is. They say boxing is corrupt, yes, maybe,... but we are still here patronizing it, which means we still love the current status of boxing.

Take that knock down from Ngannou and you'll see who's the clear winner.. but then, it's just my opinion though, so let's just based on the final judgement which came from the judges, and Fury was the winner.

Actually he is one of those fans, who thinks that if a boxer gets knocked down, then he has lost. When actually it is just 10-8 on score cards. Double knock down and total humiliation is just 10-7. You can win 11 rounds of a close fight (the fact that you are a champ gives you a tiny-tiny advantage in corrupted boxing judgement). Then by the end of 12th round gets knocked down, the belt saves you from/during second knockdown, on the ropes. And you are still a champion Grin

Obviously that knock down was probably the basis of the fans to score in favor of Ngannou. However, if they will score each round, it's easy to stop who is the better fighter, probably Ngannou did well at the beginning but he lose his aggressiveness in the later rounds and Fury was dictating the fight with his effective jobs. Maybe times Fury get knock down and still end up winning the fight, so it shouldn't be new.
274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC is effecting Market? on: December 14, 2023, 12:04:29 PM
Trusted altcoins will always survive no matter what happened during the bearish trend. The only shit token is dead once the bearish trend is starting to occur. We have seen that many times if bearish trend was offering us the opportunity to buy at the cheap price. Just try to buy as many tokens as you can during the bearish market and it will be helping you so much to make a bunch of money for your wallet.

The list of those altcoins that have been in this realm is very few and only a handful of them are working on improving their infrastructure. 90% of altcoins currently in the market are already dead or on the verge. In most cases, these are those coins that came into the market when it was a bull run, and when the market starts to follow the bearish trend they are then dumped. That is why the term shit coins exist in the market.

Perhaps, you can never expect all these altcoins to grow and improve their potentiality because most of them are useless and have been made to scam investors. That is why only a few have followed the trend of Bitcoin while the majority go in the opposite direction (dump/die). If we are planning to invest in altcoins, we must be sure that we are investing in those altcoins that have been visible to the community and the price moves in the same direction where Bitcoin goes or else, we may invest in coins that give us losses, not profit.
275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The shorter the time you spend the better on: December 11, 2023, 09:53:50 AM
Then if there's a gambler have $50, he need to gamble $50 at once? Cheesy

Imagine the gambler prepare to wear a good clothes from his home, spend 20-30 minutes on the transportation, after arriving on the casino, he gambled away $50 for few seconds, whenever he lose or win, he back to his home lol.
Then we are in a hurry to lose our $50 and then go home. Grin, No time for enjoyment.

If this is how we gamble, then I will stop from now on. I'm not sure what the OP is trying to emphasize but this is not the reason why gamblers got into addiction. They have fallen into such situations because of their mindset and gambling intention as most of us think that they will become rich in gambling and spend more money. Addiction comes because we want it to happen, if we just control ourselves and enjoy our time gambling, that never exists.
276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beginner needs your advices in gambling. on: December 11, 2023, 09:14:02 AM
I am quite suspicious of most newbies who just get involved, out of 100% I think 70% of them come with the intention and purpose of earning, because lately I see more suffering from even large losses than enjoying the fun. If you are one of them then my hope and advice is to immediately change your mindset and point of view on gambling from now on, this is really dangerous, the chances of getting a win are not as easy as you think, and you never know how many losses have been experienced by people you see successfully get a sizable win.

So the bottom line is, the mindset and goal of earning in gambling is really not recommended because there are far greater risks than what you see as tempting, think about it and consider realistically from some of the facts that have happened about the adverse effects, set limits and keep awareness. you have to do that if you really want to stay safe there.
Let us give them the chance to experience gambling with that kind of mindset, at least they will know in actuality what is gambling.
We know that most of these newbies are totally no-how about gambling, they simply just jump because of some ads that caught their attention and interest. And the fun thing is that they believe in these influencers that are not also in gambling in real life.

They need to think several times before gambling otherwise, regrets will follow.
I don't stop them from doing this but must be sure that they are aware of what will possibly happen, not just blame others.
277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Regis Prograis vs Devin Haney (9th of December) on: December 11, 2023, 05:20:03 AM
I want Haney to go after Ryan Garcia, and if that fight happens, I think Haney will school Garcia just like what he did against Regis here. And with that added weight, I think Haney absorb the power or Regis and then himself having the power to knock him out.

Although we really don't like the style of Haney, he seems to be very effective.

And he is also maturing and turning to be a great fighter now and he is about to hit his prime years.

This fight might happen. Both boxers are still probably interested to have this fight. And their respective promotions are probably interested also because this is good money for them. Despite the two not really amazing fighters with Ryan having no belt to put at stake and Haney being very too careful, there may be fans who want this.

Haney is indeed very effective. His style is a winning style, but very boring style. He can even maintain a perfect record with that defensive strategy, but he should get used to loud boos in his fights.

That would help Haney to make a good payday as Ryan Garcia is very popular, he could help sell the PPV subs just like what he did against Tank Davis. On the other hand, this would also help Garcia back in a championship fight again, and a win here (although unlikely) would make him a champion. So it's a win-win for both fighters if we are looking an some earning opportunity.
278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 11, 2023, 02:58:11 AM
Mark Magsayo won his fight at super featherweight, 130 lbs, he beat Isaac Avaler via a vicious knockout.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BXfQiPR9v_A

Although there are still some loopholes in Magsayo here, as he was open for counter. But the good thing is that he can take the punch of Avaler because he has a solid chin. But he needs to cover his face at this division because it's going to be very difficult for him if he will face fighters in the top 10.

So this person just climbed to a new division after his back to back losses to Rey Vargas and Brandon Figueroa. Although Magsayo has a powerful punch, his fighting style does have many flaws. If he wants to become a champion once more, he needs to change those bad habits.
What exactly are the bad habits do you see?
i see some of his weakness abut he got some power with both hands. I think if he could improve his stamina and more quickness in his combinations, he'll become a champion again. It's a good start for him, his ranking will easily improve due to his impressive win. Not sure what happen to his opponent now, hopefully he's okay but Magsayo did well here, very well.

Anyhow, it is good that he returned to the ring and won once more. Perhaps a couple of more matches and he gets a championship match. The title holders are not stable except for Navarette. But Navarrette already in his third division tenure, is beginning to exhibit some weaknesses that could be taken advantage of.

In the Jr. lightweight division, we have four champions.
https://www.boxingscene.com/rankings
O'Shaquie Foster - WBC
Lamont Roach - WBA
Joseph Cordina - IBF
Emanuel Navarrete - WBO

he could fight one of them if he'll got a chance to be in the championship stage once again. However, I'd be happy to see him fight with Emanuel Navarrete as the latter is probably the most popular among the champions.
279  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you regret also for ever knowing about gambling? on: December 10, 2023, 12:49:26 PM
Yeah you read the question correctly.
Many addicted gamblers who have lost a lot to gambling will be the ones to regret most of their decision to start gambling because of the looses it has put them and how it has badly affected their lives. For any gambler that has benefited like winning a very big amount of money that changed their life, they will always bless the day that they knew what gambling is and the day they started playing. The person with regret is always the person with a bad experience.
Yet, they decided to gamble which means that they are willing to try unfortunately, they are not lucky and lose their money. But if they were too lucky at that time, I was expecting that they would say thank you to the person who introduced gambling.

Honestly, we don't need to regret or blame someone for our losses because at the time to decide to gamble, we think that it is okay until we find it wrong.
And because of these social media influencers showing big winnings, we also then think that we can also win that amount. Unfortunately, gambling doesn't guarantee winnings but many people try to chase their luck, gamble more, and lose more.
280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is there so much interest in popular cryptocurrencies? on: December 10, 2023, 12:03:36 PM
Why does the cryptocurrency world focus so much on highly capitalized projects, to the detriment of more promising and lesser-known ones?

Because it matters a lot to us, investors.
Buy cheap coins or shitcoins then you can see the answer to why people are buying known and reputable projects. In fact, nobody buys a certain product that we're unsure of its results and profit gains. Nobody will invest in a scam project knowing that they will just lose their money. Since we have the option of buying top coins in the market, why not? It doesn't matter if the price is high but what is important is that we are expecting a profit to get from investing these coins, not losses.
