1  Other / Politics & Society / (From the future) Trump supporters compare Jan 20 to Tiananmen Square. on: January 13, 2021, 09:55:28 PM
(I'd like to post this in advance, and reserve the right to future edit this post if my prediction is correct, to further my agenda as your virtual god.)

My Curiosity Stream and Nebula subscriptions are being abused as I try to review relevant events in human history.

The 1989 Tiananmen Square rioters protested against invading anti-Democracy forces.  Several thousand loyal citizens were killed and remembered as heroes in Democracies.
The Jan 2021 Capitol rioters protested against majority rule and became the invading anti-Democracy forces.   Several thousand mutineers were killed and won't be remembered in Democracies.

Do you have any present memories of this future event you'd like to share?

2  Other / Politics & Society / "Happy" Anniversary Covid-19 on: January 12, 2021, 04:40:02 AM
Today marks one year since the first person died.  Sad

1.94M deaths in the first year.  I predict we'll hit five million deaths by the summer.  Hopefully the US slows down once Trump loses relevancy.
3  Bitcoin / Project Development / Asking for Club Crypto volunteers - a bitcoin evolution on: January 08, 2021, 04:48:45 PM
(no professional design yet)

The Club has developed an infrastructure to remove fraud and expense from bitcoin transactions.  While the infrastructure is not yet complete, the price of bitcoin has overwhelmed the benefits of waiting.  Our annual membership is now priced at 0.000024 BTC compared to double that just a month ago!

At this time, I'm asking for two volunteers to help me test the registration system.  Requirements:
1) You must know your birthday and be born more than 13 years ago.
2) You must be able to send $1 USD in bitcoin.
3) You must be able to sign from an address containing a recent transaction (within 3 months) AND a historical transaction (older than 3 months).  Addresses history benefits membership.
4) You must be able to toggle an ad blocker on and off.
5) You must be comfortable with my knowing your bitcointalk id.  Part of the test will be staking (proving) your account here.

1) Send an email to the address in my profile.

My club is so radically different from this forum that discussion may not be constructive here.  I'm asking people to hold off on the questions until I finish the system to reward the transfer of knowledge.  Then hopefully these volunteers will be able to take the support weight off me so I can finish initial development.

My plan is to finalize my operating budget this weekend and send out an email to the investor list; sign up at the bottom of the front page.

I welcome any legitimate questions and ask that any replies not be directed at off topic comments.  Smiley

4  Other / Off-topic / Stop using Telegram on your phone! on: January 06, 2021, 04:07:44 PM
Telegram has stated they have no plans to change this feature, even though simple triangulation has been used for thousands of years.

Using readily available software and a rooted Android device, he's able to spoof the location his device reports to Telegram servers. By using just three different locations and measuring the corresponding distance reported by People Nearby, he is able to pinpoint a user's precise location.

Let's compile a list of famous people that have died from Covid.

I'll start with this hottie I had such a crush on.

6  Bitcoin / Project Development / Bitcoin blockchain needed! on: December 25, 2020, 09:42:40 PM

I'm looking for the bitcoin blockchain in NoSQL format.  I've been searching for a while but I know someone developing a bitcoin project must have it.

I'm paying 0.0042 bitcoin (20-12-25T2145Z) if you can provide a source I can move to my own NoSQL server within a couple days.

Please post your ETA here if you intend to claim the bounty, to prevent others from wasting their time.

7  Other / Beginners & Help / [Non-moderated] Newbies - learn (and maybe get a merit) by signing a message!! on: December 16, 2020, 11:47:15 PM
This is a non-moderated thread to show off your message signing skills.   You are not guaranteed any merit by posting here, as that would be wrong.

(This is not the illegal merit payment / exchange thread .  That thread was locked and relaunched as self-moderated to control anyone who asks questions. This is your first lesson on forum politics.  Smiley

There is already a non-official thread to stake your crypto address.  These threads exist in this area only because you will see them first.   If you've ever landed in Cancun, this type of scamming will be familiar to you.

Make sure you include the date!

Address: 1xxx
Message: Iím OgNasty and I lost over 6,000 bitcoin.
Date: 20-12-16
Signature: 1xxx
Merit is not a commodity.
8  Other / Beginners & Help / MOVED: Can you trust tokens that are 1:1 backed by bitcoin? on: December 14, 2020, 08:20:55 PM
This topic has been moved to Project Development.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Can you trust non-bitcoin crypto backed 1:1 by bitcoin? on: December 14, 2020, 07:36:59 PM
Haven't been able to find a list.  If they are 1:1 they aren't listed on exchanges.

Question answered - thanks Royse777!  This is now a conversation on trusting tokens instead of bitcoin and subject has been changed.
10  Other / Off-topic / BPIP Top 4 recognized on: December 12, 2020, 01:58:30 AM
This month four users were eligible to be in the top four recognized.

Old (Nov 2020)

New (Dec 2020)

(this thread is locked for discussion - updates only)
(edit:  this thread will be replaced since four is such an odd number)
11  Other / Politics & Society / Why does France never plan for the future? on: December 11, 2020, 11:45:22 PM
In WWI, Germany invaded France.   France said sacre bleu!, and built the Maginot Line.  Not looking ahead.
Now their aircraft carrier is being replaced at a cost of seven billion dollars and 18 years.  lol

They launch it, suddenly their radar picks up 50 smaller ships approaching.  All available pilots scramble and launch!  Each small ship launches an equal number of drones.  With no pilots on board, they are cheaper, faster and better in the air.   Many pilots are destroyed before they take off.

This is not a terrorist attack.   This is just a militant country that spent its budget wisely.

(btw, since I am half French so I am not racist, just disappointed.)
12  Other / Off-topic / I am applying for a patent. on: December 11, 2020, 11:29:20 PM
Posthumously Automated Proxy Assassination (or Papa for short)

I patent the process of using smart contracts to activate a drone to murder someone.

In other words, I want to make a killing when someone else does.   Grin

13  Other / Off-topic / Stroke stuff - "the more you know"... on: December 11, 2020, 06:34:52 AM
I'm feeling good about life, wanted to chat a bit about what I've learnt in my experience.   This community is where it affected me the most, so I felt it was nice to post here.

Feb 14 I attended the Oilers game, then went home.   At around 1am, I decided to go out for a snack.   Got into my two month old car and I don't remember leaving my driveway.  The car stopped as it approached a barricade, and the beeping woke me up.

Then the confusion hit me.   My first thought was I was drunk from the pint I had at the game.  Turned around, and could not roll down my window to open my gate.  I didn't know it, but my left hand was just flopping around.

Finally crawled inside, then the damage started.  Since it hit me in the balance center, I would vomit every time I opened my eyes.

My next thought was that someone had spiked my drink.   After about 12 hours of dry heaving I called 9-1-1.   The ambulance arrived, took all my vitals, said I had the flu, and left.

Sometime over the next five days I posted here that my left hand was not working properly - still confused.    Finally, my mother drove me to the hospital where I said "I think I had a stroke" lol and stayed there for four days.

I initially only told Theymos what had happened to me, and then I posted about it after trolls pointed out I could be an alt.  Suchmoon and ibminer also knew, and the help they gave made it an easy choice to hand BPIP over to them.

CAUSE:  I had heart surgery in 1983.   Second generation valve, it throws off clots on a regular basis.  My doctor retired (no more follow ups on my blood tests), I built a house, I gained weight and the medication couldn't keep up.

1) In clots, big is better.  Mine was so big it got caught in the first part of the brain to develop - the balance center.   That's good because it doesn't affect any of my limbs (evolved after the balance center obviously).   For most people, the clot travels through that part and gets caught in the left part of the brain, before the hemispheres cross.   Usually, if the clot goes further than that, it hits higher functions and you die.

2) Blood thinners do not "thin" the blood.   If a blood cell gets a certain protein, it becomes a clotter - otherwise it does not clot.  Blood thinners slow down the production of that protein.   If we didn't clot, we would bleed to death from a paper cut.

3) The brain is able to rebuild pathways to a point.  You have about 9 months after the stroke to recover your abilities as much as possible, then it slows down to almost nothing.

4) Having a clot in your balance center affects... balance.  I no longer can get a "buzz" from beer.  I go from sober to massively dizzy - no in between.

There.  I feel so much better now.  People have been posting a lot of false information, and I've wanted to clear the air for a while.  Plus, this is the first time I written my story, and I wanted to preserve the memory while it's still fresh.

Thanks for reading, if you did.   Smiley
14  Economy / Reputation / My public reply to Mr. Owlcatz, who has locked his thread on: December 05, 2020, 07:17:33 PM

I admire you sir - to be both an owl and a cat (or maybe a cat that when it meows shoots bees out of it's mouth?  That'd be awesome!  but I digress...)

Yesterday Mr. Ogn added six peopled to DT2, to boost his DT1 score.   He is telling everyone I am evil - I am a scammer and a liar. , etc.

Maybe the others sitting on the fence in hope of #peace2020 will act before the year and get rid of the corruption.   I bet a lot of reciprocal trust would vanish too and the system would revert back to it's intended use.

Mr. Owlcatz - thank you for your reply and my opportunity to respond. Smiley
15  Other / Off-topic / Settlers of Catan Geolocation game - bitcointalk team? on: December 03, 2020, 02:38:08 AM

Settlers of Catan is one of the best selling games of all time.

Much like Harry Potter and Pokemon, Niantic is turning Catan into a geolocation game!

Post here if you are interested in playing when it comes out.  Not sure how the teams will work.
16  Economy / Services / RISK FREE LEGENDARY ESCROW SERVICE - 0%! on: December 03, 2020, 12:02:59 AM
About a year ago, after learning of OG's loss of 99% of funds he held, I decided to add free escrow to my new project.  Then news came out that while OG was paid 6btc a year to safeguard 500btc, he used those bitcoins in various airdrops and coin forks.

After watching the recent destruction of an innocent person by the OG/Rmcdermott927 scam team, I decided to push up the date. (OG claims more than 16k transferred, but does not mention the 6k he lost when he paid the 1% reserve fund of 65BTC)

The system will handle both routine coin exchanges with no fees.   Complex escrows will eventually be covered by micro tasks. - add your name to the mailing list t be the first notified.

Local rules:  (OG is free to post in my escrow thread only if I can reciprocate in his escrow thread.)  If I have made any mistakes in my numbers, feel free to correct me.

18  Bitcoin / Project Development / Working online for bitcoin - project development on: November 24, 2020, 12:51:15 AM
Discussion thread continued from project announcement...

Club Crypto (Website in development)

I'm still working out the exact prices so I can compensate fairly while staying within budget of the kinds of tasks that will be done.  Payment will be on a logarithmic scale based on subject/task experience.

It's not possible to pay an hourly rate without verification that is expensive, high bandwidth and unpopular.   When you wish to work, you'll put in a "bid" for so many tasks an hour.  When the system queue determines it can support you, you will go online.  You can take limited breaks but you must respond to tasks within a few seconds.  The simplest tasks should take just a moment - depending on your input, processing and output speed.  Tasks that require any other skills other than basic ones will be paid more.

Of course we reserve the right to add new verification methods that pay more, or are required by partners (i.e. test takers).  No member will lose money or available services for new verification requirements.

We are planning to release a unique NFCT based on historical attributes to use in our first crypto gaming tournament.  This game genre has hundreds of thousands of potential new bitcoin users!  The profits from this game will be used to "buffer" the payments so that non-income tasks can be generated for testing, housekeeping, etc.  NFCT adoption will increase the amount of micro workers we can have working at once.

Membership is 95 cents per year (0.000 052 Bitcoin) and this fee is used for private blockchain costs so members do not have to pay a per-transaction fee (transaction or gas).  This membership will be a legal relationship between you and the club - not with me.  Membership will be invite only to start - make sure you sign up for the email notification (bottom of front page) if you are interested!
19  Bitcoin / Project Development / Would you meet these crypto requirements? on: November 19, 2020, 06:18:29 PM
Membership in my new bitcoin project requires basic competency, such as signing an address.

One of my strategies for combating multiple accounts will be verifying active bitcoin addresses - not throw away addresses.

I feel the following requirement is fair for a primary address to be staked in the club:
Have at least one transaction within the last 90 days, and one transaction older than 90 days.
(Staked assets are controlled privacy assets)

Would you meet this requirement?

20  Economy / Scam Accusations / Rmcdermott927 admits to abusing the flag system on: November 18, 2020, 08:41:01 PM
Based on this thread:

Facts are:

Rmcdermott927 and chradams made a deal.
Rmcdermott927 chose OGNasty as the escrow.
Rmcdermott927 sent OGNasty an escrow fee.
chradams backed out after reviewing escrow..
OGNasty kept the escrow fee.
OGNasty supported a flag against chradams for causing Rmcdermott927 to lose the escrow fee..

Disagreement is:

OGNasty claims he returned the fee, but won't prove it.
Rmcdermott927 left chradams negative feedback saying he lost his escrow fee.

I feel OGNasty is wrong to use two accounts to damage a person simply for researching an escrow.
OGNasty says "it is time" for the community to DT blacklist anyone who agrees with me.

I'll reply to back up accusations that other people cannot find (like rc's edited feedback).  Otherwise - evidence is there and any other information I provide would be redundant.
