A lot of altcoins are springing up, DEB is a great project, there is definitely a market for it if they can get the platform up and running.

244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TOKEN] DAV - Decentralized Autonomous Vehicles. Presale Early 2018 on: April 29, 2018, 03:10:03 PM
Hello DAV Community!
...
Such a letter will provide DAV with improved regulatory certainty for its public token sale, something we feel could make the DAV project stand out in the current environment. The letter represents a significant opportunity to have a formal assessment of the token and thus we have decided to push back the start date for our token sale to June 11, 2018.
...
With much respect,

The DAV Team

So the ico is going to be on june 11th? Is that official, can anyone confirm?

Yes, it's confirmed that the token sale will begin on June 11 and will run until June 25 or until the hardcap is reached

Ok thanks. I'm assuming the bounty keep on running till then, is that correct?

246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Airdrop][$LOK] Loki - Private Transactions & Comms on: April 29, 2018, 09:38:39 AM
Anybody knows which exchange has listed this token? Can't seem to find any info here or anywhere else on the site. Thank you

As far as I know the coin hasn't been released yet so it won't be listed on any exchanges for a while.
247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Pillar - The Personal Data Locker on: April 29, 2018, 09:36:22 AM
Will the data locker provide any barriers or security against NSA surveillance?
248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: April 29, 2018, 09:34:29 AM
Yep, Litecoin support Segwit address fully and also lightning network. In fact, Segwit was tested on LTC first and then on BTC network. This is response for your first question whereas support for ledger hardware wallet that I don't have any knowledge as didn't use that. I saw there was some balance showing problem with ledger wallet couple of days ago. Current status I don't know yet.

Thanks for that. I'll do some more investigating before using it :-)

252  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Simalarities with bitcoin and the introduction of the internet on: April 28, 2018, 01:42:40 PM
When the internet was first came out there was a lot of big discussion about it. Its rubbish, it'll never work, its brilliant its going to change everything, its just a fad etc. Then one day we all started using it like it had been there all our lives. And now we can't imagine living without it.

Bitcoin and blockchain is seems to be following the same route. There's so much big discussion about cryptocurrencies but with scaling issues looking light they might be solved (with some currencies) and new blockchain platforms coming into the market could it be as early as next year when the big discussions cease and we all use the technology likes its always been there?

Today I bought something in a London market and said to the store holder you should take bitcoin and she said, 'yes it could be the future of money'. Then I bumped into someone I know and they said exactly the same thing after I mentioned something about bitcoin. This is a significant change in tone because even 4 months ago people usually said, its scam, its a bubble, be careful, I wouldn't invest in that etc.

254  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: posts getting deleted on: April 27, 2018, 12:23:42 PM
I'm doing a signature campaign and only make what I consider to be quality posts. My post count keeps going down and I'm not sure why. I've been notified of deleted posts when a moderator thinks they are off topic so is this something else? Any help would be welcome, thank you.

If your posts are getting deleted without you being notified of it, ( seems this is the case?) it means that the moderators thrashed the entire topic/thread you were posting in, because the thread itself was offtopic, a duplicate, or simply getting flooded with spam answers. (I'd say most topics in Offtopic/Bitcoin Discussion/ fall under this category).

You for example posted in this topic, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2323894.msg35702223#msg35702223, "Alt or BTC", with the following post,

There can be only one answer to this and that is to buy both. Maybe 40% btc and 60% alt, or a ratio that you are more comofortable with. It makes sense to diversify for now.

With over 110 pages, i'm almost certain that the contents of your answer have already been posted atleast a dozen times. That's why threads like these often get thrashed/removed by moderators. They add nothing, no discussion.. It's just people rephrasing other people's answers for their signature campaign...

Of course, that makes sense. Thanks

256  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are some of the best sources of information on Bitcoin? on: April 26, 2018, 10:28:38 AM
Forums like this and Reddit are really good, especially is you have specific questions to ask. Otherwise you tube is the best place, people like cryptolark, jsnip4, clif high, bix weir have been helpful to me. I'd be wary of articles that come up in search engines as these tend to be from the popular press side of cryptocurrencies, cointelegraph etc. And they won't give you the most objective view point.

Hello bounty manager. The signature bounty spreadsheet hasn't been updated for a few weeks. Is everything ok?
258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will there be more bitcoin forks on the nano ledger?? on: April 23, 2018, 03:28:57 PM
Unless the forks are open source and fully transparent, Ledger nano S/Trezor won't add them.

There is no easy way to extract forks as far as I know. If you're not willing to use that service for security purposes, you could always move your funds elsewhere, use the seed on their site, generate a new wallet/seed and send your funds back to your Ledger.

Thanks but I wasn't able to get a private key from my seed that was claimable. Was a right nightmare.
259  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Will there be more bitcoin forks on the nano ledger?? on: April 23, 2018, 01:52:45 PM
I've just seen the ledger now supports BTCP https://support.ledgerwallet.com/hc/en-us/articles/360003294734-How-to-install-and-use-Bitcoin-Private-BTCP- (probably the most worthwhile out of all the forks that happened a few months ago). It would be great if the teams on the other forks would add ledger support because I have not been able to claim forks like bitcoin diamond/united/super etc because I had a segwit address and just couldn't work out how to do it, even though I spent a week on reddit asking and looking for answers. The only solution I've found is to use a wallet service that will claim the coins for me for 10% and I don't really want to do that.

Or if anyone was able to claim their btc forks using a ledger segwit address please tell me how you did, cos I tried everything.
