Before we talk of exchange can we help other members like me on how to sync their litecoincash wallet, it will take me a year or two before I can finally sync my wallet, by then this coin is dead I am stuck to 6 years to go since day one.

Download bootstrap.dat from the Litecoin Cash website, unzip and put it in data dir, when sync is finished you can delete it.

Name a text file litecoincash.conf, insert the following and copy it to data dir.

Code:
addnode=91.128.161.204
addnode=73.232.159.131
addnode=69.123.49.160
addnode=178.200.236.205
addnode=66.69.246.134
addnode=192.30.85.23
addnode=37.14.134.175
addnode=195.68.203.237
addnode=189.216.159.2
addnode=209.205.125.118
addnode=76.97.160.198
addnode=71.197.52.238

You'll be able to sync your node in a few hours.

Thanks for the info, but where do I find the data directory? I'm working on a MacBook and according to litecoinca.sh I should put it in ~/Library/Application Support/litecoincash. But in the folder /Application Support there is no folder /litecoincash. I did use the default installation. A search command for 'litecoincash' doesn't give me any results. Hope you can help me out. Thanks a lot!

1. Open litecoincash qt wallet then quit it
2. In Finder go to Menu > G0 > Go To Folder
3 Paste in      ~/Library/Application Support
4. Scroll down to liteconcash folder

I'm sorry for my ignorance, but is the qt wallet the same as LitecoinCash Core? That's the one I'm using (I downloaded it from litecoinca.sh). Thanks again!

no problem. Took me ages to figure it out. Yes its the same thing. If your wallet is unresponsive after syncing just quit it and open it again, it will sync again then be fine.

No massive hurry cos no exchanges are taking lcc deposits yet.

That was a great presentation last night, can really see that this is going to be a big platform in years to come. Really like the approach lisk is taking.

Kraken was present at Relaunch Event? Provided "as is", no guarantee. I just saw that.
https://twitter.com/martwarn/status/966078065028796416?s=12

Also there were pictures of Max and the CEO of bithump on twitter last year when they did their asia tour. I wonder if there will be a big push from lisk with exchanges in the next month or so.

HELLO PEOPLE! SOMEONE KNOW WHEN WANCHAIN GOES TO EXCHANGE, OR HOW TO BE SURE TO BE NOTIFIED WHEN THAT HAPPENS

This is still unknown, just stay still, follow them on twitter...

Apparently when the token swap is nearly complete the coins will go on an exchange. We were given to the end of march to swap tokens so I guess it depends how long it takes everyone to do it.

Jesus... that's long. Taken the time how long the ICO has been gone now.

That's actually kinda smart from the team. There's no reason to release coins in bearish market. Things are not so bad today as 2 weeks ago, but the team could be probably waiting for confirmed bullish trend.

Following up on recent 71% post

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rjbZ8-uQMHk&feature=youtu.be

So Dustin makes it seem like it's on the exchanges at this point based on that video.

TBH I don't care why the team would care what market climate it debuts because it's not like any of them are selling any of their tokens now.  An exchange might care if they had heavily invested themselves maybe.

Predicting the market climate is a different beast in its own right.  On one hand BTC could be at 5k USD range in the next 2 weeks, on the other hand BTC could be at 17k+ USD, so good luck on the entity that's trying to guess that.  The "experts" are often wrong in these cases...

ha yes, totally agree

Does anyone has any idea when yobit will be accepting lcc deposits?

Has anyone been able to sell these anywhere yet? It looks like yobit deposits are disabled.

Yeah not sure whats happening with yobit, doesn't look like mercatox is working for lcc either.

I've just got my coins through but my wallet has stopped working. Can't back up, send or anything. Has anyone else had this problem?
450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: February 20, 2018, 02:20:21 PM
well its the big day today. I wonder if the price is already factored in to the announcement today or will we see a spike tonight.

I've not been following Lisk recently - can you point me to the source of the big news for today?

A long awaited re-brand and sdk release is scheduled for toady. They'll prob be doing a livestream on youtube this evening. Check out their twitter or reddit for more info.

451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Claiming bitcoin diamond and superbitcoin easily on: February 20, 2018, 02:01:56 PM
It took me a while to figure this out last night.

Download bluestacks emulator for android apps on Windows.

Download bither + bitpie.

Sweep all your bitcoin into another trezor or similar wallet before this step:

1) import your (now empty) seed into bither unnder hdm account recovery https://imgur.com/a/YH1Cq
it then syncs and shows you balance of BCD and SBTC and also BTW (wtf is that?)
2) Simply click get BCD (it then asks you for a bitpie bcd address, I tried sending direct to an exchange but it didn't work
3) send to bitpie, then exchange

cash out.

Same can be done for SBTC.

I cashed mine out last night and made an extra few bitcoins, pretty easily. I came across a dozen scam websites/fake wallets asking for mnemonics and so on before this so figured people could do with an easy solution.

Hope this helps

I wonder if you can help. I'm using the bither on a android emulator for a mac. I've got my btc private keys from my ledger, put them into bither in 'import private keys' but am not getting any balace after clicking 'get forked coins'. is it possible that bither doesn't always work or is there a step I've missed?

I've just downloaded the wallet and am not sure how you install the bootstrap on a mac, can anyone help?

Also should the wallet say connecting to peers for a while, is this normal.

i'm only seeing one node and i'm not 100% certain but if you right click show package contents on the LCC QT application there is contents/Resources folder and I think it may be added to this folder. it has the .conf in there so should be correct, i am guessing though.

This is what I did on my Mac:

1. Download the bootstrap.dat from the LCC site.
2. Install the LCC-QT client from the site. Run it then close it.
3. Drop the bootstrap.dat into /Users/yourusername/Library/Application Support/
4. Make a file called litecoincash.conf in the /Users/yourusername/Library/Application Support/ folder.
5. Add the following nodes to the conf file and save it:

addnode=lcc.cryptopool.party:62458
addnode=lcryptopool.party:62458
addnode=l62.77.153.134:62458

6. Run the LCC-QT client. Took a about an hour to all sync up which I suspect may be because the bootstrap.dat needs to be elsewhere but someone smarter than me will know.
7. Import private keys. Rescan. Profit!

Hope this helps someone.

thanks for this. i've done as suggested, and it's definitely connecting to more peers now and it is updating. its still 2011 though, so not sure if that bootstrap is in the correct folder.

I found this article which was helpful
https://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/35961/bootstrap-dat-on-mac-osx-10-9-difficulty

So in finder you 'cmmd / shift / + G', scroll down to litecoincash then put the file in there. My wallet says 'updating blocks on list' so I'm hoping its  right place.

By Holding the coins the Wanchain team seem to have increased anticipation to an almost fever pitch. I doubt if it was intentional but a brilliant strategy. I wonder if other coins will do the same. I kinda wish they had realesed them thought cos I could have got some more in the bearish market.

Saw KIK few year ago, it was better than Skype at that moment, now i think with monetization it will be 1-10 cents per coin in 4q 2018

1 cent would make me very happy, 10 would be out of this world.
460  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][$TAU TOKEN SALE]🔶LAMDEN🔶Blockchain Interoperability & Rapid Development on: February 19, 2018, 09:41:38 AM
does that mean you need to have 100K token to have a masternode?

Yes

That's a pretty steep price, even with the significantly reduced rates -- for a retail investor, that is.

Right, I don't think the price was designed with retail investor in mind though.  Stu mentioned in the chat they pretty much want investors that are in it for the long haul, and not the investor that could hop in and out. I think the idea was the commercial investor.

Does it work in a similar way to Lisk, were you have to have a large amount of coins to forge/stake but you can earn rewards by holding coins and voting for delegates from you wallet?

I highly doubt this, because for the Lisk delegate the amount of coins they hodl doesn't really effect whether they can run a node or not.  Each Lisk is a vote so sure it helps if they own alot themselves, but it's not mandatory if you can get alot of other people to vote for you in one way shape or form.

With this, you either have the 100k shares or you don't, and if you don't have it you won't be running a masternode.

Aside from that, I'm relatively new to Lamden.  There's no mention of delagates or DPOS in the whitepaper, but Stu did mention delegates/witnesses once while talking about masternodes so I'm not sure if delegates/witnesses are a thing or not.

i'm new to lamden as well. It does say on their info graphic https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2338211.0 that lamden is Dpos which is the same as Lisk and Ark so not sure why you need the 100k shares to get rewards.

I'm stupid...don't know how I missed that because I've seen that infographic several times.

I could def be wrong, but I think DPOS + BFT could represent a delegate system + a masternode system.  The masternodes may just handle different tasks in the ecosystem than the delegates would.  This is def something that needs to be clarified though.  I'll try to check telegram or reddit for this and report back when I get a chance.

That makes sense, if you are going to have DPOS and Masternodes they will probably have different roles. If you find anything about this please do share.
