I watched that match and i think that Frankfurt showed a pretty good performance in my opinion and they can definitely be happy with the way they have played yesterday. I do not think that they are really looking for a championship at all. I feel like there is a good chance they just want to be at the UCL levels (top 4) and that is good enough for them. Maybe that doesn't sound realistic to you, but I do believe that it would be the case for them this year.
When Real Madrid is the latest UCL winner and when Barcelona spent the most money in Europe, you can't really build a team that will rival those teams, how could you.
