41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: April 25, 2018, 07:55:57 PM
ETHlargement effect is interesting only for the ETH or for any algorithm that requires fast memory

That is right. I tried with ZEC mining. There is no difference.

Okay, real talk.

ZEC isn't memory bandwidth dependent - not really, not like ETHash. It's compute dependent (and latency bound), so ETHlargement won't be working for this. And there's a reason for that.

What you'll need is EQUILargement. Coming soon. Wink

Fucking a+

Anyone on the xvg bandwagon?
I'm dual mining it and bought some cheap a few weeks ago

Beeen mining and selling it daily with a Baikal X10. This has been my most profitable rig since i received it about 10 days ago. I got an L3 + set up at my host's fascility 3 days ago. It has been on XVG scrypt since then.

Crypto Bridge, where I sell my RVN, also has XVG listed.

XVG will likely jump in price as a result of today's anoucement:

https://www.ccn.com/worlds-biggest-porn-site-partners-with-verge-to-accept-xvg/

I think XVG will be the new LTC, mining XVG for short and long term will be very promising.
Like it or not, XVG's future is basically now sealed in the biggest use case in the Internet.
Adult entertainment is a huge industry and practically married to the Internet.
The adult currency of the Internet is Verge.... well at least the first one.

Wait a second, what about Spank Coin?  And I thought there were a few other such coins being touted.  Me personally, I can't wait for Bitmain to come out with a Spank Coin Cash ASIC.  :-)

Just don't buy a second hand one… ;-)
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NPlusMiner - GUI Pool/Algo switching miner with Plus logic (NVidia) on: April 17, 2018, 11:02:48 AM
I'm running the miner on 2 rigs, both 1080s. Miners are using the same wallet. They are showing different numbers on algo revenues (BTC/GH/day). https://c2n.me/3Tvb7Lm
How can that happen?

Looks like they're showing different benchmarked speeds for the algos.

Maybe something was effecting one rigs hashrates when the benchmark was run? Different overclocks or something?

If you're sure the rigs should perform the same you could always copy the benchmarks from one machine to the other and then they should run on the same algo.
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NEMOSMINER multi algo profit switching NVIDIA miner on: April 13, 2018, 12:38:12 PM
i just went thru several pools. so far i saw zergpool and blazepool may be the right one? maybe, but there payout is at least 0.005, i only have a small rig . any advise will be appreciate.

buy more cards?  Tongue

sorry i know that's not constructive but afaik that's a reasonably low payout level so you'll either have to hang in there or increase your shares

I still do not understand the principle of measuring profitability in the miner. As far as I have understood, after initial benchmarking the miner calculates and chooses the most profitable algo. But i dont understand how the main screen revenue is calculated. It is derived from the pool data during the last several hours? What is the time period for that calculation? So these are average, not current earnings, and current earnings can be seen in benchmarks?

And a stupid question https://clip2net.com/s/3TnqKjp
Does it calculate the sum for zergpool and zergpoolplus? maybe the actual earnings are twice lower?

Does this help?
https://github.com/MrPlusGH/NPlusMiner-Documentation/wiki/Estimations-and-Projections

You are right. You should not select several variants of the same pool. This makes no sense from an estimations perspective and will give weird mining decisions. It will results in showing wrong values for BTC/D as well.

*Now* I realise I shouldn't have both ahashpool and the Plus next to it checked <facepalm>
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NEMOSMINER multi algo profit switching NVIDIA miner on: April 10, 2018, 10:24:47 AM
My rigs are all on XVG at the moment but I've just read this https://cryptoinsider.21mil.com/verge-xvg-hack-casts-doubt-over-development-team/ and wonder if anyone knows if the pools will be having problems exchanging XVG?
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NPlusMiner - GUI Pool/Algo switching miner with Plus logic (NVidia) on: April 10, 2018, 10:18:53 AM
Is it normal to loose focus when miners switch? It brings up windows taskbar while in Chrome YouTube Fullscreen.

Yep it's normal. Many people mine on dedicated rigs where it's not an issue. A while ago I remember someone managed to set the miner going on one account and switch to another one to work/watch videos/whatever but not sure if that still works.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Happy New Years! Seventh alt coin thread! on: April 09, 2018, 03:15:13 AM
see my post a few above this one;  it has a link for phil to an XMR binary that has no devfee.

Cool – thanks!
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Happy New Years! Seventh alt coin thread! on: April 09, 2018, 02:44:14 AM
Loving this XMR profitability. Hope it lasts for a couple weeks.
I think that unfortunately hashrate will redistribute much faster than that. Supply is very elastic.

Is anyone mining xmr with nvidia? I'm fully nvidia, on rvn at the moment, and wondering if it's worth switching…

Does anyone know if a 1080ti can be flashed to seem a 102p-100 so i can complete my asus 19 slots motherboard

Sure but you'd have to solder on more VRAM first  Roll Eyes  Tongue

nemos x64 No fees version please  Wink , thank you https://github.com/nemosminer/Ccminernevermore/releases

+1 but for 0.2.2 which should net +6% hashrate! https://github.com/brian112358/nevermore-miner/releases/tag/v0.2.2

I curse the day I decided Gigabyte ITX cards were the way to go… one fan = one point of failure. 8 RMAs out of 28 cards in 9 months…

Decided f*%k the warranty on this one and until my bearings arrive from China this will have to do  Grin

Is this one of the Noctua fans? What are the temps on this one?
I actually like the look of this Smiley

Yeah it's one of these https://noctua.at/en/nf-f12-industrialppc-2000-pwm Total overkill but had it on hand and it works really well.

At 20˚C ambient currently the other cards are ~55-58˚ and this one is 38˚ (the speed is dialled down with a fan controller too!)

We have other GPUs also and all of our prices for GPUs are lower than the competitors and we have stock in hand.  Smiley

https://octominer.com/product-category/gpu/ only shows the P104 at the moment, have you sold out of others?
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Custom RAM Timings for GPU's with GDDR5 - DOWNLOAD LINKS - UPDATED on: March 16, 2018, 03:09:55 AM
Haha, we can all start showing off shit too, "look who has the biggest one".

Is it worth it?

Nah..

I use to post screenshots to show how big mine was too though.. Realized quickly that i didn't need all the attention and that it was a waste of time Wink

Btw, the better ones (screenshots), are those of the showoffs begging for info in PM's.. those are the good ones, and boy do i have plenty of those  Grin

Oh! Flashrom tool works just fine (threw it on my github with P106 rom a seriously long time ago), a raspberry pie and a pomona clip is all you need....

Cheerio! Have fun getting your GTX 1080 TI up to 64Mh (edit: and higher..)  Wink

Yes, my data structures are the biggest. It's definitely worth showing off those nasty, unsanitized fields and those dirty, dirty timing blobs.

Not sure why you guys are using flashrom instead of just buying a little SPI programmer...I suppose flashrom is a cleaner interface, but the SPI is more portable/versatile, and cheaper (Rasperry Pi's are around 25 USD, right?).
Why just not masq the rom as mining and get nvidia sign it for us Cheesy

P.S: Just a gentle push to p106-100 micron, not much to gain of it but still worth it. ( GPU9 modded only )

Now a bit more for samsungs p106-100.

Inneresting... so this is a hardware flashed modded BIOS at stock clocks?
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Z170 Z170A BIOS setting 7 GPU mining success on: March 07, 2018, 03:41:34 AM
Hello everyone,

I have a rig with the following..
- Z170A GAMING M5 (MS-7977)
- Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU G3930 @2.90GHz
- 1000W PSU
- GPU: RADEON RX 560 4GB
- using simple mining (linix)

I have 7 GPUs and when i got the rig, it was working at 1/3 card capacity - 100 sol/sec per card. The error stated that I need more RAM for 4GB was not sufficient.  I upgraded the RAM to 16 GB DDR4 and the rig stopped working. I was mining ZENCASH. The then had taken the rig to a tech to trouble shoot it.  He thought it was the power supply, so I got a new one. I added the new power supply but it still does the same thing. Everything seems to be on but the Simple Mining is not coming up on the screen and the rig is not mining. The mining pool states that the rig is off. I switched back to the 4GB RAM and I tried to adjust the bios but that did nothing and the rig is still not working. (BIOS adjustment: . Enable above 4g decoding).

Could someone please help?

You need to be methodical with your troubleshooting. Remove as many factors as possible. Take out all the 560s. Unless you are a linux guru I'd recommend plugging in another ssd and install windows from scratch. Make sure the machine runs ok with just the motherboard, ram, ssd and no video cards. Then add the cards one by one and check each one can be recognised and mines. Even if you intend to use SMOS in the end this will let you check all the components are functional.

@nemo

due to changes in payment terms on ahashpool (https://www.ahashpool.com), What changes must be made to the file "NemosMinerv2.5.1.ps1" to display the payment date for 0.005 0.008 BTC?
"....Payouts are made automatically every 24 hours for all balances above 0.008 BTC. We will occassionally payout balances above 0.005 approximately every ~10 days at our discretion conditional on that the network is not congested."

Try changing line 9 of EarningsTracker.ps1 (maybe EarningsTrackerJob.ps1 too) from:

[Float]$PaymentThreshold = 0.01,

to:

[Float]$PaymentThreshold = 0.008,

I can't access my rigs at the moment but will try this myself in about 12 hours.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NEMOSMINER multi algo profit switching NVIDIA miner on: February 27, 2018, 11:12:39 AM
I have a big question. I think it can not be done, but it is something that would be good to have it as an option.

The idea is that having several RIGS, although these are different in terms of graphics cards, I would be interested that all rigs mine the same. Now each RIg according to its control points mine what is best for that rig.

But I am interested if I am mining in Zpool, that all my machines go to the same ALGO, so that my participation in the block is greater. I think that it would be much more beneficial if it could be operated that way.

I know it's not possible, but I wanted to leave the idea here.

This could work:

Benchmark one rig.
Copy the stats folder from that to the other rigs.
They should all mine the same algo because they think they have the same hashrates as the 'master' rig…

Hello everyone, I have read all the threads of the post completely using the translator.

I have a problem with the latest version, a problem that is repeated every bit. When I have a nemos running and has already done all the control points of the benmark, everything is fine. But if I close nemos and open it again, I do not see all the algos, only I see something like X17, neoscript or any other doing the control again, but not all other ALGOS appear.

To solve it, I only have two alternatives. Reset all the benmark and do them all again, or edit in the Miners folder, and change that Something from one miner to another, and when launching again NEMOS I appear all done except the one I changed.

This is making me very heavy, I am afraid to close and open again NEMOS, this version is having many problems. How could it be that this weekend I've done 9 times as many points on 3 computers, it's crazy.

Don't reset the benchmarks! It is still checking all the algos but only showing the currently active one. This changed a few versions ago. To show all the algos:

Press S then wait for the next check (however long is set in -interval)

Or to make it permanent add -UIStyle Full to the end of your bat file.
