I'm trying to test x11 algo, buy NemosMiner says "NoMiners!" Any idea?

I'm using this config: powershell -version 5.0 -noexit -executionpolicy bypass -windowstyle maximized -command "&.\NemosMiner-v2.3.ps1 -SelGPUEWBF '0' -SelGPUCC '0' -Currency USD -Passwordcurrency BTC -interval 120 -Username XXXX -Workername YYYY -Location europe -PoolName miningpoolhub -Type nvidia -Algorithm x11 -Donate 5

163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hive OS - new Linux GPU mining platform on: December 25, 2017, 12:45:05 AM
you can save a lot of $$$ just running any ubuntu machine, without paying crazy monthly fees. and everything thats in hive you can setup by yourself (all docs are online)
At first it's not "a lot of $$$".
Yes, everybody can do that if you are good linux admin and web developer and have months of free time and will to do this)
Hive is not just ubuntu which is sure for free, even you can take my distro and use some scripts from it, it's open. But it's a service in the first place. I have quite a lot of customers which were trying to do their own stats with Zabbix, custom made web scripts, etc. Now they are Hive clients) And every time you will want to add some feature to your own setup you will spend time again and again to do the task which is just in the box of Hive already.

no need to be good linux admin, all you need is proper use of google search. except wallet sync there's no processes that can take significant amount of time. if you can not add features to your rig, how you can be 100% sure its secured? Cool the only way is to build by yourself. and you will never learn to do that with hive? hive might be good for huge farms. but if you running a huge farm and don't know how to configure your miner - dude you probably should stop before somebody got everything)

So man do it yourself and stop this bullshit. Rent a server, create your custom Ubuntu linux miner system and after 2 or 3 month come back here.

Pretty sure you are using claymore.

Did you try it at least?

Time is coins so if you want to do it yourself do it. HiveOS allow me to install any rig in less than 5 minutes with auto-configuration and mining strait away.

And please create your linux system, you can find everything on google.

you don't need 2-3 months man, one night tops to build custom ubuntu/debian. no rent is necessary if all the toys will be on free heroku node. how fast you will clone os image on all your rigs depends on their amount.

the only two things i didn't tried yet is hive and ethos. trust issues  Cool
tried claymore once a year ago - don't think its relevant if you building custom miner

That's all fine and well but can you stop beating your drum? We get the point! This thread is clearly about HiveOS and there's no point continually slagging it off here.

It's like going to a furniture shop and standing around telling people not to buy something because there's a hardware store down the road for tools and they can go to the forest, pick their own tree, cut it down, mill it and make something much better themselves. Ok some might have the time and motivation to do that but others just want a table, now, thanks.
'
Hell start your own thread about how to roll your own linux os and monitor it for free.

sounds like you never been in hardware store)) you know that you need to pay there as well? i thought maybe im missing something, maybe the price is somehow justified - but its just a shitty negative from you so far

Ok I should've known better than trying to come up with some shitty analogy. Merry Christmas!

EVGA Precision XOC will not allow me to clock more than 4 GPU's on my 6 GPU Nvidia rig. Afterburner causes the miner to lockup. How do I OC 6-8 gpu rigs?

Afterburner! Works fine for me with 8 gpu rigs. When does it lock up? Make sure you're running afterburner 4.4.2 and the latest nvidia drivers. Apply the overclock (starting at stock or very low!) before you start the miner.

Totally! v2.3c-beta is humming along well on my rigs  Cheesy
167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NEMOSMINER multi algo profit switching NVIDIA miner on: December 21, 2017, 11:24:18 PM
Is there any service or notification system I can subscribe to to get notifications about updates to the miner?

You can setup a Github account and use the watch feature on the releases at https://github.com/nemosminer/NemosMiner-v2.3/releases Then Github will email you when there are changes.

Vosk's new video on the D8P board was nice to see.   Seems pretty seemless to run 8 GPU, and I can only imagine doing risers for the extra 4 GPU to see if there are any quirks there.  But I am super stoked i jumped on the first batch.  first time for being a "first timer" lol;  I normally test the waters first.

I Hope to finally get my board up online soon so I can have everything at home consolidated into one machine outside finally.   Depending on how well it works, I may recommend them to friends to build using them and the frame that could be bought here on BCT in the future.

Phil;  Ive been meaning to get back to you about the cpu... i'm going to wait for the market to settle a little then resend the pm with confirmation before I shoot =)

can you link to the video?

I just realized I have no clue what brand of Nvidia cards are good for mining. Could you recommend some? ^^
Which brand got the best fans? Lifespan of these cards is crucial Cheesy

Avoid Gigabyte cards with sleeve bearing fans. I've had to RMA 5 of the cards below in 5 months of mining because the fan either stopped completely or started going haywire e.g. stopping and starting, erratically changing speed etc. They are in a low dust, ~20 degrees C ambient environment and mostly ran <60% fan speed.

There are some tuts around on how to replace the bearings but there's no point on cards still under warranty. I think I'll sell mine on and migrate to a model with more durable fans so keen to hear recommendations too!

Trying zpool now I'm seeing:

Transcript started, output file is .\Logs\2017-12-19_16-54-55.txt
Loading BTC rate from 'api.coinbase.com'..
Loading pool stats..
PS>TerminatingError(Invoke-WebRequest): "The remote server returned an error: (522) Origin Connection Time-out."
Error contacting pool, retrying..

2.2.2 works perfectly on the same rig with either pool
171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NEMOSMINER multi algo profit switching NVIDIA miner on: December 19, 2017, 03:34:43 AM
DSTM is equihash, you will need to test with zpool

<facepalm>

Thanks!
172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sixth alt coin thread I forgot to mod last thread. on: December 19, 2017, 03:33:09 AM
Anyone know what's going on with parallelminer?  I placed and order with them on the 12th for a PSU, various cables and power boards, then on the 16th I got an email saying the PSU was out of stock and they cancelled the entire order.  I sent several emails back, called and left messages, and here we are on the 18th and no response at all.  Tried to leave following vm's today, but now their vm's are full...  wtf?

That's not cool Sad Have you been in touch with Joseph? He's usually responsive. If they keep playing the same game they'll be come back in stock in a while with a price hike Angry
173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NEMOSMINER multi algo profit switching NVIDIA miner on: December 19, 2017, 02:43:36 AM
No go for me with that dtsm build using ahashpool. Stuck on 'Loading pool stats…' Nothing in the logs. Not sure how to debug any further.
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NEMOSMINER multi algo profit switching NVIDIA miner on: December 19, 2017, 01:28:41 AM
I also had some error issues with latest beta version,
and some incorect benchmark/resets

And I do prefer DSTM for equihash alg.

I hope it will all be fixed in final version

i have enabled DSTM with v2.3b still in alpha testing on my rigs i have it downloading running and benchmarking...

but it will not close and report hash rate after its 2 minute -interval

any help testing this and correcting closing issue would be much appreciated https://github.com/nemosminer/NemosMiner-v2.3/archive/2.3b-+-dstm.zip  v2.3b-beta + dstm  (testing only not finished)

Best Regards
Nemo

Hi Nemo,

Sure I'll throw that on a rig now and report back

you guys need to check out ethmonitoring/ethcontrol Smiley

https://ethmonitoring.com

+1 on this. Windows based, dev updates miners, coins and pools quickly (and is quick to fix any issues), flexible monitoring, same price as smos…
177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sixth alt coin thread I forgot to mod last thread. on: December 17, 2017, 12:05:26 PM
Good morning Ladies and Gentlemen,

I would like to pick your brains regarding one of my rigs that freezes solid after a few days. I have changed the add2psu, swapped around risers, changed PSU's but with 2x Zotac 1080ti mini and 4x 1070ti it dies on a regular basis. Specs:
Windows 10, latest updates
Latest nvidia drivers
Asus Z270-P with latest bios
4GB ram
intel G3930
m.2 SSD 128GB
1 EVGA 750W and 1 EVGA G1 1000W

When it freezes the fans are still running at whatever speed they were running prior to freezing. Event logger doesn't help but these are the only errors and stuff I can see there:
-License Activation (slui.exe) failed with the following error code:hr=0x80070422 (I assume it's because this copy is not registered)

-The description for Event ID 0 from source igfxCUIService2.0.0.0 cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer. If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event. The following information was included with the event: Received Post Shell Event 1

The other thing I noticed is that the mouse cursor is lagging in teamviewer on that machine.

I am completely out of ideas. The only thing I can think of now sending the ram, mobo and cpu back to amazon and getting new ones. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The igfxCUIService2.0.0.0 warning is related to the Intel HD graphics on the CPU. Try disabling it in the BIOS. It will probably be called 'integrated graphics' or 'iGPU'.

Also Teamviewer can cause issues, try using VNC.
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NEMOSMINER multi algo profit switching NVIDIA miner on: December 17, 2017, 04:51:45 AM
+1 for erratic startup with the 2.3 beta. It often seems to hang on 'Loading pool stats…'

If I quit and start it again sometimes it works straight away, other times sits there for minutes before eventually starting mining. Or not.

Never struck behaviour like that with 2.2 and other network connections are aok.
179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v10.2 (Windows/Linux) on: December 16, 2017, 09:52:24 PM
Hi guys! I am planning to set-up a PC miner here's my specs below:
 Core i3 processor
 4GB memory
 2GB video card Nvidia gt730

is this specs good for mining or not?

Not for ethereum. You need at least 3GB on your card. CPU is overkill for mining too.
180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NEMOSMINER multi algo profit switching NVIDIA miner on: December 16, 2017, 04:33:51 AM
2.3 is looking good so far. I like the extra feedback on launch and will be trying out ahashpool24hr.

How can I troubleshoot EWBF not benchmarking? (This isn't a new thing it wouldn't for me on 2.2 either)  It shows

I guess there should be a value for user?
