Over the weekend we will be releasing a new build of our bot that will include several new features that will be announced in the coming days. I do want to go ahead and let everyone know that we have worked hard to deal with the Mt.Gox API issues and although a full solution will be included in V2 we have implemented an API change and other code based enhancements in the current build. We have been beta testing the new release and have experienced no lag or crash issues at all so far. We hope this will be useful to our customers currently experiencing issues with the Mt.Gox API. Existing customers will be directly emailed copies of the new build upon release.

   MAJOR upgrades will cost an optional 7 to 15 USD (depending on the upgrade), that we will heavily discounted for early adopters. These upgrades will be completely optional and all previous versions will work perfectly. The reason for this charge is that the changes we have in the works are very complex and we need to offset that somehow.

Our interest however, is in community satisfaction, if the majority of the community feels this charge is unreasonable (remember: this will only be for VERY MAJOR upgrades) than we will work with our customers to come up with a different model. Customer service is our #1 priority.

 Ok, so if I understand correctly, bitcoionqt will send the coins to a new address that I will have immediate access to on the qt app and basically clean out the paper wallet. So basically no coins are lost but the paper wallet address should be discarded Is that correct?

  I appreciate you taking the time to answer me but I must admit I'm still not clear. Basically I want to know:

1. If I import my private key to bitcoinqt and I have 10 BTC in there and I only spend 3 BTC, will I then permanently loose access to the other 7 BTC?

2. Is the only solution to this to spend all my paper wallet coins to another wallet like blockchain.info and get organised from there?

  I agree with you completely. We are pushing our BTCE development as fast as we can make it. The issue is that as per our policy, we have to test the code extensively before we release it so we can release the best product we can. Barring any major issues, there should be an announcement about this soon .
