I'd really love to see the lisk foundation fund a second client led by an independent team. The progress has been too slow and I'm honestly as frustrated as you guys here.

We did almost 4,000 in Haskell with just a single team in under three months: https://github.com/input-output-hk/cardano-sl Smiley
44  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: An Update on the Bitcoin Education Project and the State of Bitcoin Education on: January 29, 2017, 10:12:46 PM
I'm extremely glad to see someone taking the torch. The whole point of BEP was to kickstart an effort to get people educated about cryptocurrencies and the value of decentralization.

Not sure, can you take over this ship and get it sailing in the correct direction again?

Heard the name before and many speak highly of you. Perhaps with someone of this stature amp can progress onward and upward after all this time of messing around chasing it's tail.

Some don't like dor, some don't like greg.

With just one decent person to unite both sides maybe we can prevent the project splitting into 2 segments.

I think the issue with Synereo is that the project has a unique tech stack, some good ideas and an unclear execution model. It needs a notion of success and also some clear milestones for the community to form around for it to grow effectively. It's not really my project and IOHK hasn't considered entering the attention economy side of cryptocurrencies.

It would be interesting to see a mashup of steem, synereo and an identity token with a clear target market. I think it would be a great experiment to run.

What's this all about now? Invoking the name of the Hosk? What did I do now?
47  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Survey Paper on Scripting Languages Used in Cryptocurrencies on: December 26, 2016, 06:35:20 PM
This paper is- I believe- the first attempt at a survey of scripting languages used by cryptocurrencies. Love any and all feedback:

Did Dash pay for this work or do your investors find value produces research to build the stature of IOHK as a research & development consulting company?

Dash didn't pay us for the report and I have no investors. We are a revenue driven company and one of the very few profitable companies in the space.

Is IOHK's business model to earn revenue exclusively from contracting its services/expertise and/or does IOHK also potentially want to take equity positions in systems they involve with?

If we build a cryptocurrency, then we will always make sure to take a stake in it. It makes sense for everyone involved. Otherwise we accept fiat and bitcoin for services.

I really like this line. It's one of your best and I couldn't agree more.

Almost two years now. It's amazing how no one pays attention. I've been slowly building IOHK since early 2015.

Remember how you avoided any reference to the NON-burning of the respective ETH like the FUCKIN' PLAGUE, Charles?   Kiss

So you're unwilling or incapable of answering my question. Thanks for playing wheel of trolls.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Criminal Coin on: September 17, 2016, 05:50:55 AM
Just curious, what crime has ETC committed. I love how ETH is the legitimate ethereum and everyone got refunded, but somehow the fake ether that everyone got for free still is criminal. I just don't get the logic. Either ETC is the real ether and ether was stolen or it's a sharedropped copy and ETH is real in which case no crime happened.

Doing just fine with a lot of exciting stuff on the horizon. Thanks for the love and support Minecache.

Provable security actually has a well defined meaning and our paper conforms to that meaning: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Provable_security
