I wrote an article on the topic of competitive evolution via blockchains: https://steemit.com/ethereum/@charleshosk/cincinnatus-incentives-and-choice. Would love your feedback.

Because this thread has nothing to do with ada. It's a complete non-sequitur. Do you have anything to say about RScoin?
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] RSCoin for Those Who Like User Issued Assets on: August 23, 2016, 05:43:29 AM
Shin, IOHK will honor all of its commitments and continue to innovate in this space. RSCoin and Scorex are part of our innovations. We presented our finding at a conference of cryptographers in Corfu as evident by the video. Calling us a scam is liable and insulting.

I've been open and public about my work. You're the one hiding behind an anonymous bitcointalk account calling me a fraud. Meanwhile a company with nearly 30 people works hard every day to build great products. Next week we are going to release the first provably proof of stake algorithm.

What have you accomplished with your life? Besides attempting to bring down other people?

Thank god for the ignore feature.

Very interesting. I like the asynchronous aspect. I looked for more recent development on dr.ses since the paper is dated from 2013, but couldn't find anything. The paper references building on top of NodeKen which wasn't built yet at the time, https://github.com/supergillis/v8-ken , and the last commit was 5 years ago. NodeKen looks like it would be very useful for implementing distributed computing on node.js. Maybe one of the authors can reached for more information. One of them was in Brussels, close to Lisq HQ - Tom Van Cutsem, Vrije Universiteit Brussel. This could be a JS alternative to running EVM and using Solidity for smart contracts.

One of my dapp proposals, Trustament - https://forum.lisk.io/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=24 , would probably run better as a smart contract than an app, and a Solidity developer is interested in coding it for EVM, but it looks like something like dr.ses described in the paper would work as well.

It would only take a few months to resurrect and port the project to something that could run on Lisk via a network of delegates. Once Lisk has a marketplace for this stuff, it would be a fun project to take on.

This is a really cool whitepaper for smart contract written in Javascript. The research has a sound direction: http://research.google.com/pubs/pub40673.html. It seems quite viable for lisk to adopt in a future roadmap

Head LISK consultant Charles Hoskinson feels there is no hope for LISK  Undecided

Reading comprehension seems to be a skillset people seriously lack these day. I never once said that. I'm being honest about the past and I am hopeful for the future.

I've heard he's less into ETC as of late.
Source?

There is none because it's a straight up lie. I just did an epicenter bitcoin episode on ETC. We are starting the process to get a roadmap setup and hire devs to execute it. It's truly amazing how much FUD spreads through this space.

Quite wrong!

Businesses spend huge amounts of money to ensure they avoid being the victims of criminal activity.

A Network, that does care about criminal activity, is a Network no-one will want to build a business on.

ETC statistics of not caring about criminal activity are:

1) DAO theft of 3.5 million coins, they don't care about it on the ETC Network.

2) Replay theft of 7.5 million coins, they don't care about it on the ETC Network.

There has been over a billion dollars of theft in the Bitcoin ecosystem. When are the care police going to show up there? Should I hold my breath?

Are you pleased with how Lisk development is progressing?

They seem to be stuck in a mostly locked state until the legal entity is setup in Germany. Apparently the rules of the trust max setup with the other two trustees prevent him from spending crowdsale funds until the ggmbh is operational. I've provided a lot of recruitment bandwidth for Lisk when they have funds to do so; however, to answer your question, I am not pleased and I'd like to see more. I'd like to see a roadmap soon and milestones.

Guys I'm still an advisor for lisk. I do a weekly call and give advice on strategy.

Lol, it's like all the older members have a bad taste in their mouth about streemit. I can't put my finger on it, but I feel like it will end badly for a lot of folks.

If I posted on reddit, then I'd just get downvoted. At least the steemit crowd seems to upvote me.
