101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [START] StartCOIN 2.0 - The digital currency for crowdfunding on: October 24, 2016, 09:29:18 PM
They've never really made the case for why StartCoin is necessary for anything.

That is incorrect. Startcoin was tightly integrated with the V1 platform. V2 use case remains to be seen.

May be some good news...

I'm divided on this. On the one hand, I want new to see Stratis reach newer heights, with extra features being added to the Stratis framework on a regular basis. On the other hand, cryptic statements about  "a major announcement on the part of the dev team" sort of sound like the typical drivel spouted in over-hyped press releases by paid penny stock promoters.

I guess we'll have to wait 48 hours to see what this "announcement" is, and how it'll affect the price.

Yes, an announcement of an announcement is generally a shady tactic in crypto. I believe Trew is still learning the politics of running the show and means well. Give him a pass on this one.

Why price is rising ? do you have good news or dev is doing something interesting ?

Max confirmed StartJOIN V2 is releasing this month. But he might delete that Tweet confirmation. It has happened before.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [START] StartCOIN 2.0 - The digital currency for crowdfunding on: October 14, 2016, 09:36:45 PM
What is StartJoin V2 ?

The new StartJOIN platform. The first platform was hacked and shut down, one reason for the StartCOIN price crash.
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [START] StartCOIN 2.0 - The digital currency for crowdfunding on: October 14, 2016, 09:15:37 PM

107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KMD][dPoW] Komodo ICO - Zcash Zero Knowledge Privacy Secured by Bitcoin on: October 13, 2016, 11:24:53 PM

OK 1 developer is annonymous, why is all the other fake names behind this project need to stay annonymous ?? if they even exist.

the project aims for annonymousity, they want to raise money, in a normal world the minimum is to know who gets the investors money.

Relax, Boogieman is attempting to raise 20 million USD. What could go wrong?
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum mining rig on: October 12, 2016, 08:02:52 PM
Good morning everyone,

I am thinking about riding a mini rig ethereum, I have in mind this configuration, i'm back in the minefield with graphics, I accept all kinds of comments to improve the rig.

B2380780 (Asrock H170 PRO4/D3 - Asrock H170 Pro4/D3 (ASRock H170 PRO4/D3, H170, DualDDR3-1600, SATA3, SATAe, RAID, HDMI, DVI, ATX))                                        1UD 71.75€

B3312190 (XFX RX-480M8BBA6 - XFX RX-480M8BBA6 AMD 8GB tarjeta gráfica (XFX Radeon RX 480 Black Edition 8192MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card with Backplate))   5UD 227.83€   (1139.15€)

B2524005 (Intel CM8066201927004 - Intel Core i3-6300T 3.3GHz 4MB Smart Cache (Intel Core i3-6300T, Dual Core, 3.30GHz, 4MB, LGA1151, 14mm, 35W, VGA, TRAY))           UD1   129.66€

The structure will make the wood.

With this rig I guess I got 125 Mh / s, but in forums and seen that this card can be optimized to take 29-31Mh / s, which is not if the motherboard could support both broad-band?

Thank you very much to all and greetings.

Mining is almost dead. Always better buying coins and ETH is at a discount right now.

I just need to stop coming to this site. I never get any useful information I can't get elsewhere and the best way to ensure I'm in a bad mood all day is to come here during the morning coffee, lol.

The drama queen strikes again!

110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: October 11, 2016, 09:27:18 PM
There's this new thing called punctuation. You should try it.

My thoughts exactly. I don't care if a significant portion of the Bitcoin/Altcoin investment base doesn't come from a non-English speaking background.
Like it or not, English is the Lingua Franca of the 21st century -- and by proxy, of the Internet.

I'm not exactly expecting intricate sonnets of Shakespearean mastery here, but there are standards.

If you want to be taken seriously, then you'd better learn how to properly punctuate your sentences. Learn the correct use of articles and prepositions while you're at it, too, because people will be judging the validity of your comments on the basis of your command of the English language.

Furthermore, it reflects badly on the community and could, at least theoretically, negatively influence market confidence for Stratis.

Intellectual windbag.

Not sure what it says about a person who uses the word "intellectual" as if it's an insult. Hehe. Then again, coming from Negative Nancy Limbaugh, I'm not surprised. Stay stupid my friend!

I know it is hard for you to understand and that is why the term intellectual has never been used to describe you.

By all means, please continue to tell us, idiots, what coin we should buy. Your last recommendation was a real gem!

But really, you are too emotionally tied to your bags to have an objective opinion and quite clueless on top of it.

https://github.com/stratisproject/StratisBitcoinFullNode

Dorier said there would be no commits for a couple of weeks - a couple of weeks ago. Travel excuse.

why is everyone only concerned about price.. oh yeah, greed.

Business much?

Trade, profit and valuation are all bedfellows in the world of business. Not sure how to make it more obvious that everyone here wants to make money. If the desire to invest for the sake of profit is greed to you, then Im afraid you may have found yourself in the wrong place...

None of this changes the fact that someone actively paying to spam a coin is a bearish trend, implies a near future dump. Don't spam me again and I won't FUD up your thread Wink

You threatening FUDing the thread has the same effect as the Stratis team asking a Twitter spammer to stop. None.
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: September 11, 2016, 09:19:29 PM

My understanding is that a full bitcoin node written in C# based off of NBitcoin will be developed.  They are then going to fork that for Stratis.  Someone correct me if I'm wrong.  That's the concept I took away from the interview and previous statements from those developing Stratis.

Check out this recent blog post from Dorier.
