Everybody should remove their sell orders on BitFunder and watch the panic buying which ensues.

Looks pretty calm....
1082  Economy / Securities / Re: ActiveMining Overview and Speculation Thread on: July 30, 2013, 07:34:28 PM
I think it's a mistake to ramp up retail initially.
1083  Economy / Securities / Re: ActiveMining Overview and Speculation Thread on: July 30, 2013, 07:31:12 PM
Missed the drama there with the stockprice crash, but looked like an interesting ride.

In any event, some interesting reading over at the ASICMiner thread where friedcat has said that they won't do pre-orders anymore. This seems to echo what I and others suggested in the ACM thread; that pre-orders are a bad idea for building up customer faith, especially given the amount that can go wrong.

Any thoughts on this?

Historically, it means fail.

Yep, babies stop whining when they get what they want. Although manipulative, it was well executed.

Congrats to panic sells that fed the sharks...
1085  Economy / Securities / Re: ActiveMining Overview and Speculation Thread on: July 30, 2013, 06:08:41 PM

yes, but anyway, next wave will be mine! Wink
Ha, next wave you will sell high, and buy back higher.
1086  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: July 30, 2013, 05:02:59 PM

LOL... owned.

Ha the party is over folks, move along...
1087  Economy / Securities / Re: ActiveMining Overview and Speculation Thread on: July 30, 2013, 05:15:55 AM

What does this have to do with volume declining?

Well, I bet I'm not the only one questioning whether ActiveMining can pull off such a monumental task.
1088  Economy / Securities / Re: ActiveMining Overview and Speculation Thread on: July 30, 2013, 05:04:48 AM
Volume continued to decline

My question is why not just keep the technology in house? Opening a retail operation has typically been a disaster in this sector.
1089  Economy / Securities / Re: ActiveMining Overview and Speculation Thread on: July 30, 2013, 04:33:21 AM

Now more stable, more dangerous, more interesting, more Ken than ever before coming soon...

I hope the guy is not in over his head. So many promises to fulfil - better have mad skills.
1090  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: July 29, 2013, 11:11:20 PM

Mmmm, strong words. And how we could know if you sold or not?

You can't be serious. He didn't move them because he likes the color green.
1091  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: July 29, 2013, 11:07:55 PM

I guarantee I won't sell my shares until 2014.
you have my word.
If I do sell, I should get a scammer tag for lying.

Ha! I think a scammer tag is worth $100K.
1092  Economy / Securities / Re: ActiveMining Overview and Speculation Thread on: July 29, 2013, 08:44:19 PM

It'll mostly stay this way for the next hour, and an hour is the time needed for any BTCTC investor to sell, transfer to weex, wait 6 conf, transfer to BF and buy for a nice profit.

It's risky as that 30k wall has been on the move recently.
1093  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: July 29, 2013, 03:25:18 AM

It's not cockiness. For the past 27 years, I've lived and breathed computers. I learned to program on a ZX Spectrum at the age of 7. I'm not your average user. That's not a boast, that's just the reality of who I am.

1094  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Multipool and Middlecoin - big profit, even bigger troubles... on: July 29, 2013, 03:10:21 AM

Why is it an issue if a multi-pool, running a legitimate client, throws a ton of hash at a coin?  So long as the pool is not malicious it should not cause any serious issues.

It's certainly not the responsibility of the multicoin pools to accommodate turdcoins. I know it's cool to villainize miners as profiteers but like it or not miners incur substantial expenses and many will dump your favorite turdcoin for BTC. The are a few exceptions but for the most part it's not worth the risk for miners to hold mined coins in this currrent environment.

Frankly I've made 10x the profits trading securities than my rigs have made mining alts this year. It's almost not worth the trouble maintaining GPU rigs as my ASICs are much easier and profitable to operate.

So instead of whining about your coin getting stomped on and calling miners puppy killers - release a coin worth keeping. Bunch of damn babies....

-Tin foil hat off-

tl;dr Dump them into oblivion gents!

1095  Economy / Securities / Re: ActiveMining Overview and Speculation Thread on: July 29, 2013, 12:52:14 AM

"That kind of speculation"?  This is a thread speculating the share price ActiveMining, in either direction.  I don't think it's wise to just blindly cheer at the price hikes.
I've got a decent holding in ActiveMining, and like all shareholders, of course I'm happy when the share price increases.  But as a realist, I'm just wondering if an increase in share price like this is reasonable.

Seriously? This was just covered one page back. Do you require more guesses from speculators to form your opinion?
1096  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's with the buying panic of novacoin? on: July 26, 2013, 10:19:20 PM

Who cares about the launch, or the pre-mine (or the mess that followed).  BTC was pre-mined.  That scamcoin is the 2nd most valuable crypto out there...  Just sayin.

Well there were more shady activities involved other than a premine. But yea, shady devs and premine seems to make a coin popular today.
1097  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's with the buying panic of novacoin? on: July 26, 2013, 10:02:10 PM
People, you better do some research before posting smth like ppc-clone and nothing more, scam, premine, 50% interest and so on..
But, I can understand, that someone just hate NVC/Balthazar or just everything that smells "russian"  Grin

Oh please, one of the most infamous launches in history defined nvc forever as a scamcoin. Too bad...
1098  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN]NEW UNOCS SITE on: July 25, 2013, 12:01:44 PM
Seriously this trolling should stop.

To the negative people, if you guys are so smart and wise why invest so much time in reply's on a project that in your eyes is a failure?

Why not put that time in something that makes you happy AND money?

Please.. tell me why?

Something my business tutor taught me is to surround myself with positivity, also well used in a song of Destiny's Child Smiley  (if i surrounded myself with positive things i'll gain prosperity).
Since this whole coin business is mainly developed to gain financial prosperity my one question is...

Why spend so much time on negativity?

And unless you donate 50% of your coin profit to charity I won’t take “to protect others“  for an answer.

Talk about a troll.
1099  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN]NEW UNOCS SITE on: July 24, 2013, 11:53:38 PM

Seriously Limbaugh tell me from where you have got these professional trolling skills. Don't waste them here. They are precious.

Run along now nawazish1, the grownups are talking.
1100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN]NEW UNOCS SITE on: July 24, 2013, 11:29:32 PM

The best part of the scam, something I have been trying to figure out for a while, is that PXC gambling is most likely illegal in the USA. They will have to shut down USA servers and relocated them as well as restrict US access to the websites.

They never planned that far ahead. They hoped to have dumped the premine by now but the release of a 100 other turdcoins stole their thunder. The sham continues.....
