those 2 scam devs knew what they were at, the were branding a super fair launch coin etc..but in reality there agenda was ultimately to make it difficult super complicated to mine from the start so they could have a bigger window to mine, as there was no premine from the start this would be how they could get around it to accumulate a significant amount of coins for themself.
This was no doubt their plan, who releases a coin without a windows QT? Especially a coin with this much pre launch hype. |

I'm looking at all of the commands right now but im stuck... what do I do from here just give me any mining pool i dont care which one as long as it copies and pastes? The pools won't be working until the wallet source is released. |

i hope its cpu only at launch, gives us all a chance, if gpu mining is at launch then you can be sure that within a few minutes there will be little chance of solo mining any blocks, huge farms will mine this

I can't understand why people want CPU. Ok, you don't have a GPU rig, I understand. But anyways botnets will come and take ALL the coins, so you will earn nothing anyways. The distribution will be less fair, then just some will dump in Coins-e and nobody will care anymore about this coin.
That's what people don't understand. It's plain dumb to ignore the backbone of the ALT coin community. GPUs make alts work not some dude on a laptop. Will you just be quiet ffs. You don't like maxcoin it does not like you. SO MOVE the hell on ffs we are all bored of your crying like a spoilt little baby ffs I'll shut up if it's released with a GPU miner. There is a Keccak version of cgminer, but it is not producing any shares on maxcoinmine.com for me.
That's nice but does that use the CPU or the GPU ? I understood that cgminer could be configured many ways and not just for a GPU setup. It's the Keccak version, my GPU's are finding blocks on another Keccak coin release. Not working on the testnet release apparently. They're not testing keccak.  They're testing with scrypt for some reason. Ahh good news indeed. Maybe there is hope for GPU miners. |

LOL this seems like another type of premine. The developers already have adopted their cgminer/gpu miners to mine this. They probably have 100s (if not 1000s) of systems ready to go while the rest of the masses will be stumbling along with the lousy inefficient client.
They catered to the whiney CPU miners which have no stake in alt coin hashrate. And in turn make the criminal botnets majority holders of Maxcoin. This had to be the plan from the start. No dev is this clueless/incompetent. |

A: Using Keccak as a hashing function renders current Bitcoin ASICs and the upcoming Scrypt ASICs useless on the coin. GPU parallelization of Keccak is possible but currently does not exist for mining with our implementation of SHA-3.
So NO.... not yet anyway since the Keccak is a hashing function nobody has developed a GPU miner for (yet). It is of course possible. There is a Keccak version of cgminer, but it is not producing any shares on maxcoinmine.com for me. |
