1181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] USCoin - Here's the change! [USC] on: May 25, 2013, 09:46:36 PM

Anyone have like 50k?

I found almost 30k yesterday before I gave up. I felt it was my patriotic duty to own UScoin - even if it remains worthless. Ha!

Steady amount of coin generation, very low orphan rates, and speed without compromising security.

Well I certainly will research this as I think either DGC or WDC have the best chance of the alts to succeed. Thanks

We're in this for the long term. DGC has the potential to revolutionize the world of cryptocurrency. However, this will take time to develop. To be frank, I think DGC is worth about what it should be, given that it's only real use right now is for short-term miners to mine it and then subsequently dump it (this is true of pretty much all of the altcoins, for that matter). However, with a very strong community and arguably the most dedicated developer of any altcoin out there, I sincerely believe that this will change.

I still fail to see the difference in DGC and WDC. WDC is also gaining momentum and developing a strong following. So what innovations has DGC introduced that WDC lacks?

DGC community is not concerned about miners dumping the currency.  We are focus in getting DGC to the marketplace.  When this happen, people are going to pay a lot more to get the same DGC they are dumping for pennies now.

Or if it doesn't the price will sink like a rock. I do admire your dedication though.

Well, i think its different in the end of the dey, even in the begining of the day, even now. And i also disagree that sell everything what you mine is a good move - it is just headless mining, without any deeper interest in the coin.

But i agree that coin must spread out to the world, and exchanges are one way to do it.

Well unless you have some emotional attachment to the coin dumping at almost twice the current going rate is a good move. And for those of you artificially pumping up the price;the miners thank you.

Can you guys explain me why are you selling your DGCs? I really do not understand it. I am not a market guru and my economic skills are - lets call it - basic, but if there is a demand and, on the contrary, there is no or low offer, should not the price go higher? Or I am wrong?
What i am trying to say is, that there is no way that i am going to sell my DGC, because it will has 10 times higher value in a year then it has today.
In DGC i trust

Because at the end of the day DGC is no different than the other alts. I dumped everything I mined on release when it hit on the exchange (good move), and I will dump everything I am mining now. Don't kid yourself, it will tank just like the others and I won't be left holding the bag, will you?

For those of us with some BTC to assist DGC go make your commitment to the coin and buy high I did my piece buy through the sellers.

The funny thing is there is no order @ 1btc until 0.00009000 and that's me. Not much demand yet.
1188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DGC] DigitalCoin.Co || Instant | Stable | Reliable || LAUNCHED on: May 25, 2013, 01:21:16 AM

Because of misleading stats and the way people follow them, being on cryptsy too soon hurts. Earlier, there wasn't anyone willing to sell lower than 0.00057, but the exchange says 0.0003 because someone sold less than a penny's worth at that rate. You can devalue a coin by about half just with a penny. People should look at the big picture, not just a penny's worth.

This next wave of miners should drive the price even lower.

I've added a new p2pool.

Here are the parameters:

cgminer --scrypt -o next.afraid.org:8116 -u yourLKYaddress -p . --queue 0 -s 1

statistics available here: http://next.afraid.org:8116. This pool use a PPLNS payout scheme, and is stratum enabled.

3% fee.

This one is up, and fully reliable.

1197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stop selling WDC for so cheap!!! on: May 24, 2013, 09:30:49 PM
For me now, after what I have read, if its not on the Altcoin Profit forum, I am not interested.

BBQcoin is listed, it can't be trusted.
1198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Abort Cryptsy on: May 24, 2013, 09:25:06 PM
Cryptsy is what happens when people with shit for programming skills whip together a complete turd of an exchange overnight. Everything about the site is just awful.

Seriously man, the guy has skills, the exchange works fine. It's not the most beautiful creation but devs normally aren't designers as well.
1199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Abort Cryptsy on: May 24, 2013, 09:20:26 PM

I think that was snark, not a straight statement.

OK well it just pisses me off when I see DDoS as a solution.
1200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Abort Cryptsy on: May 24, 2013, 09:13:32 PM

Let's face it. We don't like Cryptsy because make us to Dump to soon.

If you're really worried DDoS them. Or we can collect bounties so they don't put the coin into the exchange.

Who is 'We"? This is one of the most ridiculous statements I have seen posted. And you would resort to crime to support misguided beliefs. Truly pathetic.
