I was aware of the Electroneum 'gadgets', not that phone-mining hasn't been tried yet. I thought it had.

I think I actually ruined the battery of my small laptop trying out MinerGate. Imagine what mining could do to your phone. 

First of all; I don't think that the developers come here. At least I have not been spotting them. I did encounter them on Telegram.

Now about your tokens. They have already been sent to your wallet. Did you pay with myetherwallet? I hope you bought your tokens with an ERC20 wallet. Well suppose you used myetherwallet. You need to add the ICX token. For this you click 'Ad Custom Token'. Then you fill in:

symbol : ICX
decimals : 18

Now your ICX will show.

At the moment your ICX's however are still locked. To unlock them you need to follow the KYC procedure. That procedure will start on 2 October. If all is well they will email you (I suppose). So untill the 2nd of October we don't need to, and can't, do much with our tokens.

Good that you bought for almost an entire ETH. I had less to spend.  

Please read what I write dear global citizen. I do not claim that your phone will break by using Electroneum's mining app. In the contrary. It will not break, exactly because it is not really mining what you will do. You will just run an app on the background for which Electroneum will reward you with a couple of ETN's. This is technically essentially different from mining. And you may find the idea of mobile mining unique, but it actually is not because it has been tried before, as I said. And it failed. The idea of running an app for which you get paid might be unique. I'm not sure about that. But I'm not certain that you understand what I write. And it is exactly in those people where Electroneum hopes to find enthousiasm for their concept. So it seems to work!!!  

First they gave everybody 45 days to fill in the withdrawal form. Since then a lot has happened and the present situation is that they proclaimed to pay everyone who already had succesfully filled in that form. That would exclude you.

However since this is not fair either you may try to claim your tokens through email by explaining your situation and emphasizing the initial 45 days they consented to.

Right. At first they were sending confirmation emails. I got one. But they got a lot of questions about the var amount = 0; message. Then they disabled email confirmations. That was just one of the many changes they made.

I don't think they intended to scam. I think they are just not qualified / experienced enough to handle the IT side of their project. They probably didn't know what was awaiting them, technically. Then they made the foolish change to ditch the technical mess by not paying bounties. After which they picked it up again. So here we are. But they still have a couple of days going, according to their new plan of execution.

Have you read what the mobile mining really entails? First of all it's not a unique idea. It has been tried before and phones broke down because of the overheating. With Electroneum the phones won't overheat. And that is because no true mining will take place. It is just a marketing strategy where people will keep the Electroneum app online and are rewarded for it with a few ETN's. Electroneum with this marketing strategy only introduces the idea of mining to those being still ignorant about the possibility. Allthough Electroneum has an interesting content also, the mobile mining is only a marketing concept.

The KYC will start at 2 October. They are not yet disclosing where ICX will appear first. I also don't know when.

Yes. Apparently they are able to lock the tokens. I have been thinking about experimenting by sending some to another myetherwallet. But that will only cost me gas and I'm affraid that somehow some ICX will get lost. Besides that I don't mind the KYC too much. If any one of you wish to experiment; go ahead and inform us about the outcome. 

Apparently you can't sell yet. It is said on Telegram that the ICX is locked untill after the KYC.

I hope you all got there in time. It got sold out within a couple of hours. I only found them today. Got interested and without much reading decided to go in for some $ / €. Right after that they were sold out already. Next chance to buy is at the exchange.

  Same here. Actually the project deterred me because of the flat advertising. Raining coins on their website, mining by playing a games on your phone, being the new Bitcoin, etc. But then I thought; well, if that is what the masses like, why not invest a little in it. After all the masses like Facebook and Twitter also. 

So let's see how this project (d)evolves. I invested so I hope they will succeed.
