841  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why are some people still skeptical about climate change? on: October 22, 2018, 10:36:22 AM
am just trying to understand why some people in society are still skeptical about climate change even though there are scientific proof.

People are skeptical about climate change because it's something they can't see happening in real time. The same goes for things like evolution. Because you can't show them it actually happening via a video or in some other digestible format they often just discredit it or write it off as a conspiracy. With that being said, I don't deny that climate change is happening, but I'm not entirely convinced it's 100% due to man made issues either. Then again, I'm not a scientist.

The problem is the non-scientists 'rebuking' the notion. The science community overwhelming believes one way.

Pretty sure that bitcointalk is targeted by more focused attacks. I'm sure they've built a framework to work together to control the misinformation/disinformation campaign here.

Pretty sure it's due to the compromising material that Russia has on Trump.

Can't even win in an honest debate, has to resort to lies to attack his opponent. What a shithead, seems par course for normal GOP members though.

I'll say it again - if you have any actual facts/figures/evidence/data/proof to present for your side, then I'll happily discuss it.

-Baseless opinions and no facts-

I'll take that as a "no" then.

Until you post a single piece of evidence, I'm done wasting my time constantly refuting your made up drivel.

Now you are falsely attributing comments to me, which is obviously against the forum rules. "Baseless opinions and no facts" is what YOU SAID, not I.

Why would deceit further your cause?

It is the problem, not the solution.

After all, a proud dispenser of FACTS must be truthful, or he has no facts.

You have no facts.

I'm bringing this topic back to the topic. People need to see you get shutdown repetitively with scientific arguments.

You really seem to be a state sponsored troll at this point.

Source

Fuck off troll. You'll just say "fake news" or demand more evidence. After linking the research paper which covers pretty much every aspect, you'll link to some trash tier blog that disputes their claims. After that, you'll use false equivalence to compare my peer-reviewed source to your trash blog.

There's no point in playing your game. Do some actual fucking research regarding the issue rather than relying on everyone else to spoon feed you shit.

Jesus christ, pretty bad when you can't even use google to find basic fucking facts.

I swear, you literally exist to troll.

TECSHARE and Spendulus seem to be part of the same propaganda and misinformation campaign. Kinda scary how they deny basic facts and try to link to a dozen unrelated stories to skew facts.  Roll Eyes

Turns out if you actually dig into this FBI agent's history, he's a good guy.
848  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Kremlinbots on: October 22, 2018, 08:24:26 AM
Get back to it next year.

So in other words you have zero evidence and this is just a really long, expensive, drawn out, taxpayer funded smear campaign. Thank you.

Are you employed by the hostile foreign nation state entity? Really, you seem like a sycophant when it comes to Russia. Makes me wonder who pays you to spread misinformation and FUD.

The evidence of the investigation is there. The evidence that Trump committed treason is in public. Really, it's about convincing the general public that Trump's guilty, which won't happen until congress flips.

Your ideas aren't novel and don't require an immutable chain.
My ideas are the reason and the only reason why you would even have a blockchain OR central servers for ..No other reasons ..

And those reason you should ask is ..What is your blockchain for why is it useful and what is it's purpose ..

NOT oh we can use it in the medical industry  Roll Eyes..So if you use it in the medical industry why are you using it and what is it's purpose to do what and why..
And also how will you go about building this software   so i can just click on and use..

Simple guys, just encrypt all your medical data using your address. Send the encrypted data to your doctor's wallet address..

cause tying medical data to your wallet is entirely smart. /s

you don't need an immutable chain to store medical data. ._.

Dude read the 38 page indictment of the GRU national that had a 35 million USD budget to attack the left.  The attack is completely targeted at getting the right pissed off at the left.  If you think a dictator paying for propaganda is spending it on a fair attack on both sides you're crazy bro, they have a real interest in having as hard right a leader as possible as POTUS.

But you're 100% right it is working and has been since at least 2016!

I'm not saying it's being done equally, I'm saying that the goal is to create chaos -- not to support one candidate or another.

https://www.cnbc.com/video/2018/02/16/deputy-ag-rosenstein-no-evidence-election-results-were-impacted.html - Check this out.

I'll give you at least this one, https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/how-much-did-russian-interference-affect-the-2016-election/

It's hard to measure if anything.

Quote
Even there, there’s some ambiguity — but considering that Clinton essentially lost the election by only 0.8 percentage points (Trump’s margin of victory in the tipping-point state, Wisconsin) and that the Comey letter coincided with a polling shift of about 3 points toward Trump, we can be reasonably confident that it was enough to make the difference.

so hard, many measure, literally from the link provided.

Moar oil shilling...

Oil shills really dig their feet in deep when they're called out Smiley

Why do you start a discussion if you don't want to discuss anything? It's all about you presenting your point and throwing invectives.
Maybe one day when we deplete our oil supply we'll start thinking about hydrogen, but since there are other alternatives (LPG, biodiesel, electric) I don't see why anyone would choose H2.

The discussion was to reduce the propagation of the myth of hydrogen being more dangerous than petro.

Also, once you add in the total cost of the damages of climate change, you quickly see oil is not the cheaper option.

....You deem yourself the grand arbiter of what is true and scientific, but you seem to have problems with basic scientific concepts, concepts grade schoolers comprehend.....Yes, C02 can increase global temperature, yet there is no empirical data demonstrating this is the ACTUAL total cause....

Anyone who believes that by changing man's behavior, such as his burning fossil fuels in cars, the few millimeters rise each year in sea level will stop or reverse, is insane.
Global warming is real and caused by humans and is a true threat to the future. Humans are increasingly influencing the climate and the earth's temperature by burning fossil fuels, cutting down rainforests and farming livestock.
The amounts of greenhouse gases to those naturally occurring in the atmosphere, increasing the greenhouse effect and global warming.

yep, the agriculture industry contributes something like 25% of greenhouse gases.

Damned agent not doing his job;

He should have acted, considering there was credible intelligence that says Trump colluded with a foreign hostile nation, which accounts to treason.

Last I checked, treason is a federal crime which requires the FBI to investigate and prosecute.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trump%E2%80%93Russia_dossier#Allegations
The whole collusion issue with Trump and the Russians are just made up by the FBI and their Liberal friends so that they discredit the Trump presidency, they are just wasting tax payers money on something that’s really not there.

So, the Russian indictments didn't happen? Trump's campaign manager and aids pointing their fingers directly at Trump.

They've actually seized more criminal's assets than what the investigation has spent, so they're actually generating income for the average citizen Wink

All of the indictments and such that have been 'related to top trump campaign officials' have NOTHING to do with the campaign. It's people getting in trouble for stuff that was BEFORE the campaign -- but Mueller is trying to pressure them into telling them what he knows about the Russia stuff with these indictments. -- Which I don't know if there is anything.

I would think that after longer then a year we would see some stuff come out of the Russia probe -- but I guess not.

Mueller doesn't leak. Pretty sure there's enough shit to burn Trump at this point, it's really about targeting Russian oligarchy networks.

The fact that Cohen's pointing his finger at Trump and saying "fraud and collusion" is pretty damning considering the guy was Trump's personal lawyer.

“I understand we are living in a political era in which insults and insinuation often drown out honesty and integrity,” Mr. Strzok said, continuing: “I have the utmost respect for Congress’s oversight role, but I truly believe that today’s hearing is just another victory notch in Putin’s belt and another milestone in our enemies’ campaign to tear America apart.”

He concluded: “As someone who loves this country and cherishes its ideals, it is profoundly painful to watch and even worse to play a part in.”

---

Putin's won Sad

---

“There is a criminal investigation into the Trump campaign and possible crimes related to the 2016 presidential election involving collusion with Russian spies to sell out our democracy and hijack the presidency,” said Representative Hakeem Jeffries, Democrat of New York. “My colleagues in the cover-up caucus don’t like that criminal investigation, and therefore, they need to identify a villain. Mr. Strzok, tag, you’re it.”

---

Mr. Strzok said on Thursday that he deeply regretted the messages, but that they did not amount to more than private political beliefs. He defended that particular text as a late-night, “off-the-cuff” message after “then-candidate Trump” insulted “the immigrant family of a fallen war hero,” Humayun Khan.

“And my presumption, based on that horrible, disgusting behavior” was “that the American population would not elect somebody demonstrating that behavior to be president of the United States,” he said.

He added that a broader look at his texts would show disparaging remarks toward all the candidates in the 2016 campaign.

“To suggest we can parse down the shorthand like they’re some contract for a car is simply not consistent with my or most people’s use of text messaging,” Mr. Strzok said.

==

Meh, texting on a public phone a message to a colleague? Pretty much, they texted back and forth how dirty Trump was, and when the Trump admin did a ctrl+f, they found this guy. He was a scapegoat to distract the public.

Woo! Way to go guys, let's attack a longtime service man because man-child felt attacked personally.

===

A former Army officer, Mr. Strzok has worked at the F.B.I. for more than two decades. He rose quickly through its ranks, earning a reputation within the bureau as one of its most savvy and reliable counterintelligence agents. It was that reputation and increasingly senior positions that landed him on the teams investigating both Mrs. Clinton and eventually Mr. Trump.

For those that aren't following along in the geopolitical world, by removing this piece from the FBI, Putin effectively took a rook without losing a piece. In fact, he saved his most powerful piece at the same time. Clever play Putin.

No one gives a shit about your petty disputes.

Even if there was a threat such as "i'll come to your house and murder you in your sleep" - there still needs to be means and motive.

However, there doesn't seem to be an obvious "i'm gonna kill you", so both you twats stop the bickering and shut the fuck up.

No one cares about your scam token, ico, or whatever the hell the bloody fucking scam is.

If you rip off people, maybe you should fear for your life. Fuck con-artist.
