61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ICOs: The Cancer of the Digital Currency Industry on: November 28, 2018, 12:26:20 PM
In a way, we can just assume that at some point, greed kicked in for so many, which includes both the team coming up with projects as well as investors looking to get rich over night. In the end, it all ended up in shambles. No real life product for a lot of them, pollution in the space, which is what I see them as, and now it seems everyone is trying to bail out with the little they can at least get back. Since it is an unregulated space, it is a normal thing to see stuffs like this happening. It is crazy, but one way or the other, most of us do have some roles and parts to play in it.
62  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: To-do list in a bear market on: November 28, 2018, 07:08:47 AM
'Do not panic' - when it comes to anything bear-related.
'It creates opportunities' - but first-time investors may become concerned when prices begin falling drastically

Any tips to offer people new to cryptocurrency?

Reading this made me think of this qoute from Warren Buffett — "Be Fearful When Others Are Greedy and Greedy When Others Are Fearful"
As of the moment, retail traders are in panic mode and I'm pretty sure of that because this huge downfall is undeniably alarming BUT the thing that everybody is going out of the market selling their assets, maybe it's a good chance that we take advantage of that qoute a great trader thought us. It makes sense right?
That quote is something that will keep coming into reality as time goes on, but the truth is that not everyone will actually understand or be able to put it into practice. This is an opportunity to be picking the market at this point, and sure, there is a certainty the market could go lower, but considering the long term opportunities for this market, the previous ATH, where we are now, the best thing to be doing as an investor is to be investing bit by bit if you do not know how to monitor price action in the market, or if you know how to do the latter, just wait and let the market develop and see a good chance to get in than trying to rush in, but in the end, it all depends on your plan and mentality when it comes to the long term
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you make up for the huge loss. on: November 27, 2018, 04:14:09 PM
Judging by the current crypto market situation. A lot of losses have been inquired by a lot of people including myself. We were all hoping there would a  bull run in December, as of now there are no positive sign yet of a possible bull run.

How do you make up for your losses for the while year if by December there is still no bull run?

to be able to return my money that was lost due to the market fall, I always trade for a short period of time. and every time I get a profit from the altcoin that I bought, I will definitely sell it immediately.

and for the time being I will not buy altcoins for HODL for the long term. before my money returns fully
At least some basics when it comes to trading will always do even when it comes to long term investments. Surely, we have seen the rate at which the market has been behaving, and without some tangible knowledge when it comes to approaching the market, the only thing you will be left with as an investor is patience as you just wait to see the market recover later on and then you take advantage of the recovery, and you can also take some advantage by buying more as the market dips more.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about new coins? on: November 27, 2018, 04:20:17 AM
New coins are always interesting to see the progress of their project. and in fact, everyone always likes a new project to support. if the project is good, then it's likely to be successful. I am always interested in new coins.
There is nothing actually bad with new coins as long as you know they have long term potentials of sustainable increase in value in the future and the only way you can know that is to be sure they have good products that will be useful in real life. The market will not remain speculative forever, a time will come when the survival of a market will be dependent on what it is offering and not just by some people wanting to get rich quick which is something that is a lot paramount right now.
65  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: From Minimum To A Million on: November 27, 2018, 03:22:25 AM
Now is a great opportunity to become millionaires in the future. You just need to believe in cryptocurrencies and buy with each drawdown. Bitcoin costs $ 3,700 now, I would not believe it half a year ago

This is the great time to enter the market and start investing some amount with your savings. This could be the turning point in your life if you stay invested in this market for next few years and market recover well from here and crosses 15 - 20k in next 6 months and you could make some quick money as well.

A pretty good time to be getting into the market, but a lot of people will not understand why it is a good time because they do not even understand there is a potential in the future when it comes to usage and mass adoption and all they will keep thinking of is the market going down the drain. I guess we will just have to see how that would end up working out for them eventually.

If there is anything about taking advantage of a market, this is pretty much a very good time to be doing so. While so many people are panicking and getting worried, this is the time to be going bullish.
66  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to survive on: November 26, 2018, 01:29:58 PM
Last time i make some green tether, it's when sold bitcoin cash ABC and SV, 300 and bucks, i made something like 150 bucks. Maybe this is sounds strange, but  i wanna market continue to fall so i can buy more coins with a discount
absolutely right, it's really nice if we can buy coins at very low prices, but why are you so sure? I myself feel scared if it continues to decline and will not grow again.
Well, that is the thing with the market as you really cannot know exactly what will be happening at every point, but what makes you different in your trade from a noob is knowing for a fact that you are anticipating and not trying to predict exactly what the market would bring exactly. This is the main reason why for a trader, you need to have a plan, a good strategy, and know how to execute it perfectly. Feeling scared should not be a thing if you are not ignorant of what you are doing.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2020 are the new hope for us? on: November 26, 2018, 10:12:13 AM
I still have hope for 2019. You should be very optimistic, if you believe that the crypto market will recover, before the end of this year. But 2019, should be the next profitable year for everyone who is involved in the crypto currencies industry.
Those who certainly understand the long term potential of the market will surely have a great hope for the market in the long run. Personally, I have always been bullish long term and even though I take advantage of the short term fluctuations as a trader, I still am focused on the long term which is why I am using the present opportunity to keep increasing my stash. The hope is there, and I believe this is a market that is here to stay, it is only left for each person to understand the need to plan for the future to be able to get the best of it.
68  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bad "good" news. on: November 23, 2018, 03:01:13 PM
What is important is to be careful of the source of the news in question and make sure you always do your own due diligence when it comes to verifying the news to be true. However, when it comes to news, I really do not always pay much attention as I feel the market has not matured enough to be responding to fundamentals, so in this case, I put more focus on the price action instead until further notice when it comes to long term investment.
69  Economy / Speculation / Re: Market development on: November 23, 2018, 02:04:57 PM
what I don't quite understand about binance is why do they need decentralized exchange, which they are apparently working on, and their choice of Uganda as a FIAT gateway seems a little odd
Well, one thing as I am seeing now is that they may just want to simply cut across every possible means of making a lot more and servicing the users of the space. I cannot tell yet how this whole decentralized exchange will work out compared to the rest we have already today, but let's hope binance do have something up their sleeve they want to bring differently as they have never seemed to amaze so far anyway. That with Uganda is not actually odd, it is pretty much of a business sense, which I am pretty sure they are only take advantage of the fact that a lot of them are unbanked, so seeing an opportunity in such zones is good for quick spread of tentacles anyway.
70  Economy / Economics / Re: Bank of America tries to be mobile and search development possibilities... on: November 23, 2018, 06:21:59 AM
Quote
Bank of America has received a patent for the system of storage of private keys. During the previous weeks, Visa and Mastercard have also spoken about similar kinds of activities.
I think that this is a bad thing. An organization should not be storing private keys of people! Never giving anyone your private keys is like rule #1 of crypto wallets. Even if the system is such that doesn't allow the company to see your keys directly, their storage will be the main target for hackers, since it is usually not that easy to find who and where stores their private keys. Moreover, letting someone else worry about your financial safety is in a way avoiding responsibility, so that in case something goes wrong there's someone to blame for it.
I wouldn't trust that some bank will "insure and secure the assets it contains" when it comes to cryptocurrencies.
It would only take people that are dumb enough not to know they can store their own private keys to be letting some banks do that for them. What happened to decentralization where you have the freedom to be your own bank and at least get to be able to manage your own assets on your own without a third party? Banks are making a lot of attempt to gain control, but the way they are approaching that angle is something that I do not see playing out actually, except of course, if their targets are basically the naive and gullible ones obviously.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoinus coin pump when? on: November 22, 2018, 04:44:14 PM
You have to know the development of the coin, if you want to know this coin will continue to make changes or not, if your coin has something interesting in the future, you better hold it longer until the coin applies the system they are offered. surely the coin will have a high value in the future
That is basically the most important thing to always do. There are so many projects out there today, so it is very important to at least make sure you are right on track choosing the one with product, great team and possible long term potentials when it comes to usage. It is a market where even shit coins get pumped, so it is even a lot better for a project with a good potential. However, it is also very important not to concentrate too much on a pump but to put more attention on the real value and real life usage to bring about sustainable growth in the long term, which is one thing a lot of new investors usually do not always understand.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The market is looking all red once again on: November 22, 2018, 10:01:44 AM
If you are going to look at how the market is going for the past few months you'll be able to obserrve that  there contunuous dips despite of the struggle to keep the bars up high. Really sad to see how bad the market is right now. As of the graph that you have posted it is clear that there had been tremendous movement downwards for the top coins. Is this caused by a hidden action of few pump dump groups or was it just a coincidence? We just want to hope that there will come a huge reversal for all coins.
The market can only be bad if that is the way you want to see it. Sure, it is a common thing for a lot of people not to like red, but in the real sense, reds are meant for accumulation, so if they come, who actually cares, as I guess the smart ones will actually be looking forward to it to stash up the more for the future. One thing I have always known is that there is future for this market, so rather than getting bullied by the big players, I will rather just stick with their own game and play them accordingly.
73  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin the inflation killer :-> on: November 22, 2018, 07:06:52 AM
That is true because, again, you have the forethought of investing in crypto currency when it was just 400 USD. Now you're realin the rewards for such a move. But i think the market is affecting even crypto currency. But then again, I'd think technologies are placed so that these shouldn't happen to us again.
if the market is like last year, of course this will kill inflation, but now the price is undergoing a long correction, so many are experiencing a decline in assets, and many are frustrated at this time
Well, sorry the market is not like last year, but even at that, it has not changed the fact of it being an inflation killer. Anyone who entered the market should know this is a very new market, and there will always be possibilities to see some of these things get to happen as the case may be. However, if you are too much focused on what is happening now, you will most definitely miss the sight of what is to come in the future. If you understand the potential of what you are holding, then you will most definitely know better.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it the bottom of the market? Time to buy coins? on: November 21, 2018, 08:30:20 AM
Guys, today is another red day, showing new lows for 2018. BTC is now trading at around $5,300, ETH $155, some altcoins sagged even more. The volumes are large, so this is not the end of the fall.

As far as bitcoin is concerned now, I have the feeling we are heading towards the 3k region, and seeing us cut down lower, could sharply lead us even to as low as 2k but for now, we just keep our fingers crossed. There is something I am looking forward to seeing play out though, which is the $3000 spot which coincides with the lows of Jan 2017 and March 2017. Nonetheless, It is not a bad time to be investing, but it requires some level of good money management to be investing the dips of this market, as the market could drop lower, and for altcoins, you sure want to be investing only in altcoins with great potential.
75  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading as an entertainment thing on: November 21, 2018, 07:36:48 AM
Entertainment? Dude, you are wrong

Do you really think that risking your money for some profit is something fun? Well at least if you are trading with a good sum of money, i would not consider it as something "funny".

again, maybe i am the only one that thinks this.

There are a lot of companies calling me at least every 2 days to ask me if i am into trading and if not why not and why i don't and so on..
Is there any kind of entertainment if doing online investments or trading?
Enlighten me!
Probably people need to snap back into reality and tend to realize that trading is a serious business and not some entertainment. Sure, when you are doing well, and you are seeing good profit, there is no doubt you will feel cool with yourself, but taking it as a form of entertainment, practically shows someone who is not serious about what they are doing. Trading requires firm decision making, plans and strategies and all these is something not required when it comes to entertainment.
76  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoins aren't tied to a conventional currency how did they get so valuable? on: November 21, 2018, 05:20:16 AM
Much like how gold and other things got expensive, it is how much people are willing to pay for it. You have to remember thst crypto currency is based on supply and demand (like any other commodity) and price would move depending on how much people are willing to pay for it. I just don't know the technical side of it.
That is usually the thing. As long as people see the value for it and they are willing to pay anything for it based on the fact that it gives them that purpose they are looking for, I am certain this is a space we all know is going to give a lot of people that purpose. Uganda is an example, in which we see the unbanked really making all attempt to at least take hold of their own future, and we see the likes of hyper inflated ridden countries like Zimbabwe, utilizing the crypto space to at least, be able to do transactions all over the globe, after a dead economy. So, there is a lot of value to look out for in this space, and based on demand for it, that is what typically bring about the growth.
77  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Ways of making money in crypto currency on: November 20, 2018, 08:24:03 PM
Crypto trading and bounty campaign is not profitable anymore like last year.  Maybe you can try airdrop program and affiliate program.
Well, you should know that every day is not christmas, so one way or the other, you cannot always expect things to turn out the same way all the time. Moreover, this is a market, and there is always a season for every market, just as there is a season for every business to thrive, so in a way, let's just see this season as the season for accumulation for investors and if you know what you are doing and you are smart enough, you will not be wasting that chance at all right now.
78  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency news on: November 20, 2018, 03:22:36 PM
awesome news.
very soon we will all be able to use crypto to buy things freely and everywhere... etc.
no longer subjected to crazy exchange losses when travelling.
Well, that is actually something we are all looking forward to in the long run anyway which is something I believe over time, we will most definitely get to see. These are developments that are always good to hear and it may seem a little bleak right now, but one way or the other, with news like this, there is absolute chance for great adoption in the long run.
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Design is important for ICO projects on: November 09, 2018, 11:01:46 AM
Proper design from the ground up is what put a project on the map and set it apart from other mediocre project.  Design should not be interpreted to mean a creation of shining graphics and settings of a website etc. A cryptocurrency design should bring about the best product or service for the market and the plan and execution of those plan should be carried out efficiently, in excellence and timely manner!
In as much as we can say a good website design graphics and all of that would bring the first attraction, which is not a bad thing actually, because the truth is that a project with a terrible looking website in this day and age won't even cross my mind to want to look if it has a product, good business solution, and good team or not, as that alone is enough to write them off instantly based on my first impression about the project.

However, design is meant to do the first attraction, but it is what you have to basically offer that would make the investors decide to stay in the end.
80  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Story of crypto market on: November 09, 2018, 10:24:13 AM
This year has been really rough on all of us, I have been working for bitcoin for years and this year has seen most of my time going to waste.

I have worked and earned bitcoin as long as I remember and this year has been the only year where my money actually shrunk and by the fact that I do not buy my bitcoins but work for it, this new devaluation has seen many of my hours spent working has gone to zero because I have lost all that earned money into devaluation at the prices.

When you work and save up thousands of dollars and it drops 20% it means that 20% is the time you spent working but never got paid for. This is a big big part of bitcoin and why there is no interest in it anymore. I am a fundamental believer and no matter how much I lose I won't be going out completely keeping some of it in but it just shows why we are here where we are.

Looking at your profile, being a Hero Member, and having spent at least, give or take, roughly 4 years in this space (based on account registration since 2014), then, I thought you should know better.

Sure, there is no doubt this space must have been rough for some, but for old members, and which I believe throughout last year you should have made more than enough in profit, even before 2017, to still be making a whole lot right now in the market even at the current dip.

Nonetheless, I keep saying one thing, you have not lost anything until you have sold, and this is a market that is still growing every single day which i believe we have seen nothing yet, so guys should take some chill pill and be patient enough to see how events will unfold in the long run.
