What's the potential ETA for this puppy?
382  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTB Antminer U3 on: December 29, 2015, 10:04:42 PM
must hash 60gh without issues.
You realize you are asking more than a U3 can deliver, right?  "Without issues" does not exist where the U3 is concerned.  Save your coin and wait for the gekkoscience pod miner...

Haha I was hoping there were a few that could mine without going into zombie. Looked at the gekkoscience stick, but it's too expensive for what it is. Just found the pod thread (thanks for the heads up)

Ideally batch 2, but don't mind batch 1. No lemons, must hash 60gh without issues.

Shipped to UK, what's your price?

386  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-11-26] Running a Bitcoin node just got cheaper with the $5 Raspberry Pi on: November 26, 2015, 10:01:30 AM
Pi Zero looks great, however it's no good for running a node as it only has 512mb of RAM. I've been down the node route and you ideally want 2GB, but at least 1GB and limit connections.
387  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin exchange fees on: August 04, 2015, 05:55:34 PM
Where are you getting 1% from? I thought coinbase exchange was 0.25%?

When I bought bitcoin from them it was 1%.

I think you used just "Coinbase". You need to go on the "Coinbase Exchange" and it's 0.25%.

Last thing I heard, Garza disappeared and created a new exchange called Mineral.

So what's happened recently? What's the TLDR yo?

TL; DR - Homero still scammer, alphabet agencies closing in, paycoin value in toilet, GAW shutting down Hashtalk, Pastor Adam will be rooming with Josh in the pokey for money laundering, Josh is having hissy fits that no media outlets except badbitcoin like him, hashlets program official decommissioned, rumors of GAW going back to some sort of cloud mining venture, debuted shitty website called Coinstand that will sell products at 95% off but no one can actually use. Also, SoonTM.

HAHA thanks!

394  Bitcoin / Project Development / I want to code and I want to work with bitcoin on: February 22, 2015, 09:06:43 PM
I've been looking at programming languages every now and again over the last few years, but I've never chosen one and started to practice. I did some old VB coding back at college and I was alright at it, but found it pretty restrictive.

I've done some research and came to the conclusion that if I want to do online/bitcoin development, then Javascript is a good option. I did look into Python/Django but Javescript is always recommended as it has came a long way in the last few years and it's used on basically all websites. Plus I don't have to faf around as much with libaries and dev tools.

What do you think of this choice?

What I stuff do I want to do? Not sure yet, but I find things like this interesting: http://www.bitlisten.com/

I've been looking at some Javascript examples today and I'm mainly stuck on how to combine that with the blockchain. I've found this http://bitcore.io/ but how do I implement it and get started?

I also need to learn about NODE.

Thank you.

Yeah I don't like CCN. I stick to coindesk, coinfire and cointelegraph.

I'll give you one only if you actually buy a miner. Zen's are only 0.03 BTC in the marketplace.

Edit: Sent invite.

Sorry if this has been posted already.

"Do you use Bitcoin or Litecoin? The Government wants your views on digital currencies so it can look at making improvements. What draws you to using them? What are the risks? Do you think they should be regulated?"
