141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most secure way to keep your Ethereum safe on: October 06, 2017, 09:58:39 PM
I use MEW/Parity for casual transactions and tokens but if you want real security use a Ledger Nano S, it's amazing.
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the Worst ICO You've Ever Seen? on: October 06, 2017, 09:50:01 PM
All of these dentist coins, I mean what the hell. Why does a dentist need a blockchain, what a stupid idea and ICO proposal.
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tezos: A Self-Amending Crypto-Ledger on: October 06, 2017, 09:48:58 PM
I think Tezos is going to blow up in 2018. I'm going to predict $20+ as my initial long term target but the future is very bright.
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gas Price on: October 06, 2017, 09:46:20 PM
GAS is so overpriced, if it's too expensive to do smartcontracts on NEO then no ones going to use it. GAS needs to be cheap for the ecosystem to work.
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do Altcoins really have a future? on: October 06, 2017, 09:44:48 PM
Bitcoin will always remain but I do think alts will have a future, especially ones that have completely different architecture like IOTA.
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ALt coins price drop after ICO - one way to avoid it on: October 06, 2017, 09:42:52 PM
Some ICO's drop massively once they hit the exchange, and others grow massively. I would say part of it is how big their bounty campaign is, as most people from the bounty will be selling there coins ASAP.
147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS - Asynchronous Smart Contract Platform - (Dan Larimer of Bitshares/Steem) on: October 06, 2017, 09:41:18 PM
My friend has some EOS, such a bad investment, just keeps going down and down. Luckily he didn't put much into it but still a waste.
148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mining on Mobile Phone on: October 06, 2017, 09:40:25 PM
Does not make sense to mine on a phone and never will. The only thing that I would consider 'mining' on a phone will be IOTA's Jinn processor when it's integrated into phones and required for efficient POW.
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think an ICO, or coin, is all about the marketing? on: October 06, 2017, 09:38:02 PM
Number one there needs to be a problem and the ICO/coin needs to solve it, but marketing definitely helps! Many bad ICO's have done well just because of their marketing. ETH has partly done so well because of marketing.
150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 3 kinds of ICOs — Protect yourself on: October 06, 2017, 09:36:00 PM
I would say about 85% of all ICO's fall into category 1 and 2. Quite hard to find a legit ICO. What's funny is how even the bad ones still pump once they hit the exchanges!
151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OmiseGo on: October 06, 2017, 09:33:55 PM
What's peoples buy target for OmiseGo? It does feel overpriced and was such a hyped coin. Not sure it's worth the hype TBH..
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: South Korea Bans All Initial Coin Offerings on: October 06, 2017, 09:32:55 PM
I'm glad some of these places are banning ICO's. Some are complete trash and pure scams. It's bringing money in to the space but this ICO craze might blow up.
153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: altcoins for 2-3 years holding! on: October 06, 2017, 09:31:49 PM
I think Ripple will keep growing as more and more banks sign on. So Ripple, IOTA, ETH, Walton are good to hodl.
154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why invest in Litecoin on: September 29, 2017, 09:39:32 PM
Although Litecoin doesn't offer anything new in terms of specification, it has a good community and now that Charlie Lee is back updates are happening quicker and hype is up. I don't have any at the moment, maybe if they drop a bit.
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN vs ETH ? Your thoughts? on: September 29, 2017, 09:15:32 PM
BTC is king. ETH likes to think it's the latest and greatest tech, but has already been surpassed by coins like IOTA with its no-fee architecture. Ethereum is only good for ICO's and we all know how that's going to end.
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SEM] Semux - Official Thread on: September 29, 2017, 09:10:24 PM
Been staking nicely recently and wallet has been very stable. Excited for the main release and for the project to grow Smiley
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin Portfolio Advice on: September 29, 2017, 08:44:27 PM
My top 5 picks would probably be: IOTA, Lisk, Walton, Tokes and Loopring. You could also get some Tezos but they are IOU trading at the moment on HitBTC.
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BAT or Ripple on: September 29, 2017, 08:40:44 PM
I'd rather Ripple, even though it's not a true crypto if the banks are all getting behind it then it could continue to take off. Bit of a strange comparison though, there's loads of other coins i'd prefer.
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why isn't crypto going mainstream? on: September 29, 2017, 08:38:40 PM
ICO's are going mainstream, but cryptos themselves aren't needed much in the 1st world countries (yet) except for digital gold (bitcoin).
160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SEM] Semux - Official Thread on: September 24, 2017, 10:36:56 AM
Upgraded fine, all running nicely. The backup wallet functionality is fixed too which is nice. Good job team Smiley
