@thekidcoin, I believe one of the issues that potential investors are facing with FLT is that they don't get a very good idea of the coin supply. Do you mind creating something like the table below with most likely scenario? I believe it will really help. Something else that could really help is having a maximum number of coins for PoS in let's say 10 years and after that the coin goes again to pure PoW with the 20 FLT block rewards for another 10 years and then only transaction mining after that. What I am trying to say is people really want to know what maximum supply they should expect before investing. You should already have historical data of how much coins are generated by PoS.

guys any working wallet for mac available? the one before the fork was working. now i can't access my coins because the new wallet 0.4.5.7 is crashing even before it starts. PLEASE HELP!!!
try deleting the blockchain files... make sure wallet.dat is backed up someplace pm me let me know if that works |

That's why I don't tell people to buy/invest. There is no good reason this coin is down other that jealousy, news crypto outlets ignoring us, payment processors ignoring us, merchants ignoring us.
Why? ask yourself that. so called, cough, cough traders (I use that term loosely) don't care. The community is for all intents a joke. There's only a few people working hard to make this coin a success.
If you lost money only thing I can say is cut your losses or hold - there is far more upside potential I think.
Kidcoin nailed it as always. There is no community here. I am following the coin since the day it got on bter and all I see on this thread is people whining about the price. A lot of people sold off during the 2k+ peak and moved on. I have great respect for thekidcoin, but I also need to say that the GFYM approach is not really helping build a community. It all starts and ends with the developer. If you don't want to be the face of this coin and lead then all this coin will ever be is a 300-600k marketcap curiosity until somebody capable to build a community takes over. It's all about the fucking marketing. You have a great product but if you don't market it the right way, then nobody will know about it. Try thinking as a business person and not just as a developer. This "me against the world" attitude is not helping anybody. I understand that you have put an extreme amount of effort and time in this project and that it is very frustrating seeing one shit coin after the other get the spot-light. Stay calm and be persistent, keep doing what you do best, add new features to the coin, be a leader for the people who invest in your coin and perhaps one day we can buy the Chicago Bulls with FLT  LOL you are correct - here's the deal. I'm no community leader, someone else needs to run this stuff. I am a Dev, a thinker, a breaker, a guitarist, a gambler, a trader, an engineer, an artist, etc. One thing that I'm not is a PR guy. Kidcoins given up obviously. Lost all respect him for that last post, how old are you? 22?. It's up to him and his team to build the community and push the coins acceptance not the public. Maybe just expected everyone to carry it with the work provided like some other popular coins like Doge.

I think if the dev hasn't made money from their coin, they screwed up bigtime. A successful coin is self-funding, and that includes development costs. Nobody is going to begrudge a dev who gets rewarded for a successful coin system that is useful or at least, potentially useful. [/quote Exactly... I had actually really liked the proof of transaction concept in this coin as a means to better-secure the block chain.
However, it also creates as many security unknowns as it resolves.
From a perspective of motivation to increase nodes, I am not sure that it has an advantage over transaction fees or pos. But it is still interesting.
Overall, I had kept my eye on this one and thought it might have some potential. I have not completely given up on it yet either. time will tell

Exactly. Seems like most people only care about short POW coins for like a week followed by POS. Nothing new is ever added. Just change some algo, change some settings and change the name, slap an ANN in the forum and bam. New coin with 0 potential for any real world use. I really don't understand how some of these new coins even get some much hash thrown at them. I guess its b/c they are looking for quick money which FLT was never about. Can't wait to see what the future holds for FLT.
I really like how someone had setup where you can buy some pc games with FLT but I really wish there was somewhere we could buy xbox 1 / playstation 4 games at b/c I know i'd be buying a ton if it was possible.
The only reason why people are into these coins is to pump and dump. Make a quick buck and walk away. That includes the DEV walking away after cashing out pre-mines and hidden coins. This leaves a bunch of bag-holders standing there with useless and worthless coins. If you hadn't checked out the Poloniex trollbox, you should. Gives good insight on how most of these guys only care about the P&D and nothing about a coin's real value. Can you please tell me why you think that? It seems like someone is just selling and selling, not many buyers left. Where is the hope? The price have just been down trending for weeks. You are saying that if you buy now at 500 sat (20k flt / 0.1 btc) you can sell them at 10-15k and gain 2-3 btc? That sounds great! When do you think we will hit 10-15k sat? Because PoW mining is dwindling, we will be added to a payment processor, multipool ending the beta (combined with a decrease in PoW mining), web based wallet, android wallet, proof-of-transaction 2.0 in full effect - once we are on a PP it will provide a huge increase in PoT rewards AKA the possibility of cash back just for accepting payment. And there is more that I know obviously but I personally do not want the price to rise, yet. We don't leak information to hype the price. People are making others rich LOL the lower in goes the more myself and others accumulate. Instead people are gravitating to clone coins because they have no vision for this brand or the future. I'll say it because I don't really care what anyone thinks - but there will likely be a lot of sick people in a few months trying to beg for coins. This isn't a clone - when people realize that the buyers will show up - we have been low key thus far. |
