Stamp below BTCe? What is this sorcery?

Stamp has absorbed a lot of bitcoins in the past 24 hours.
1102  Economy / Speculation / Re: mtgox bitcoin price is 162usd right now.Buy lots of bitcoins and wait for mtgox! on: February 24, 2014, 08:54:41 PM
Sooner or later they will function again. at least quadruple profit.
Greed kills.

There is nothing wrong with greed. It's stupidity that kills.

I'm greedy. I want more money. I'm not stupid enough to gamble what I do have on a dysfunctional exchange.
1103  Economy / Speculation / Re: mtgox bitcoin price is 162usd right now.Buy lots of bitcoins and wait for mtgox! on: February 24, 2014, 08:52:21 PM
what are the facts we can trust showing mtgox will work again?

My fact You dont have to trust: people still buy there

If everyone was jumping off a bridge (which is currently up for sale by bitcoinminer), would you follow?

Gox may or may not return to it's normal kind-of-functioning state, do you really have enough money to take that gamble? If so, go for it. But understand, it's a gamble at this point. Don't bet what you can't afford to completely lose.

Here is a fact. As of right now, you can not convert Gox Bitcoin IOUs into actual Bitcoins. That's why they are priced much lower than other Bitcoin IOUs which you can convert into actual Bitcoins.

I think we should avoid mt gox for the rest of our lives and just forget about their scam as the foundation isn't doing any thing and Mark is trying to relaunch mt gox to do this again.

What could the foundation do? Harsh words?
1105  Economy / Speculation / Re: mtgox bitcoin price is 162usd right now.Buy lots of bitcoins and wait for mtgox! on: February 24, 2014, 08:42:07 PM
Risky business. I don't trust the functioning exchanges.
1106  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 24, 2014, 07:44:53 PM
How about Karples just makes a clear statement already. Even if the worst thing possible... they lost/stole everyone's money.... couldn't be worse than leaving everyone in the dark to  speculate on what is happening, and what they think the market will do because of what they think is happening and reacting to ghosts and shadows.... or twitter post deletions.... I guess this is just bitcoin though.

Without knowing the guy personally, what I've seen so far indicates he's got some issues admitting he was wrong/made a mistake or plain is out of his depth technically trying to solve something. Hence, I expect this to drag on for a while still.

Indeed.

   Lack of remorse or guilt
    Emotionally shallow
    Callous/lack of empathy
Failure to accept responsibility for own actions

Sociopaths don't do obvious things like that.
1108  Other / Meta / Re: What benefit I have from that activity number under my nick? Why is it so big(!) on: February 24, 2014, 07:41:52 PM
Oh...so unlimited supply like USD that's about to crash seems good to you?
Also transaction malleability is kinda easy fixable.

well original bitcoins has too many flaws anyway.

What you call flaws, some may call features.

Do try to keep up.
1109  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 24, 2014, 07:20:58 PM
my guess:
mtgox and karpeles are under criminal investigation ...

whatever the case let's not forget Gox is the victim here. They are the victim of their own success!

Those poor souls.

Your posts are used to solve blocks.  It shows how many bitcoins you have earned so far just by posting.

Yeah, but they're Californian Bitcoins. You can check them anytime you like, but they can never leave (the forums).

Someone should make a site where you can trade Californian Bitcoins for regular Bitcoins!

Excellent idea. I'll make the wiki.

Wich ones?

Irreversibility. Limited supply. Secured by proof of work. Stuff like that.

There are muchu much bigger flaws than that!!! !  !  !  !     !  !          !  !            !  !

Block chain scalability. Low TPS. Block chain tracking. Transaction malleability.

Nein!
1114  Economy / Speculation / Re: Max Keiser Predicts $750-$800 This Coming Week on: February 24, 2014, 06:24:30 PM
Max Kaiser is the same kind of sociopath as Bruce Wagner, I've said this when he first popped up and this is still my assessment.

To contrast and compare, a different kind of sociopath would be Mark Karpeles.

I'm in the UK - I don't own a gun.

If I get home from work next Tuesday and I catch Mrs.Dreamer at it hard with the postman  Shocked - they're both gonna get beaten with my baseball bat - maybe a few fractures might ensue.

But they won't get their heads blown off  Smiley Grin And I won't do a life sentence.

I'm not going to venture an opinion as to wether the citizenry of the US should have access to firearms - as I know it evokes very strong responses.

I'll just say that I'm glad to be in the UK  Wink.

So... let me get this straight.

Because you have murderous tendencies (you can easily kill someone with a blow from a baseball bat), people shouldn't be allowed to own firearms?

I'll just say that I'm glad you are in the UK. Smiley

I need to step up my game then! Time to start flinging FUD in the speculation forum! Wink

This belongs in the "Meta" sub-forum.

I moved it can you reply now?

I don't know the answer. There is probably another thread in this sub-forum explaining "activity".
