4ward, thanks for that, got the groups sorted.
Just a few more questions,
How to disable one gpu in a mixed rig
Am running a Vega 64, however it doesnt display the amount of watts it is using, but a nvidia card on the same rig does.
Also, when running AMD on afterburner it ups the power limit to +50, is this normal?

To disable one GPU - use GpuGroups and exclude the specific Device
AMD use Afterburner (it must be running) and NVIDIA uses nvidia-smi.exe for power usage. Please verify that Afterburner is running.
It shouldn't set PowerLimits unless you define them in GpuGroups.

i run as administrator on win7x64.
In cmd.exe box says.

Can not start Windows PowerShell Version 5.0 because it is not install correctly installed.
Press any key to continue..

After press it is exit cmd box.

Windows 7 comes with PowerShell v2. You will need to install PowerShell 5 if you haven't (Windows Management Framework to be exact).
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=54616

Also, You shouldn't need to run as Admin, unless you use PowerLimits with NVIDIA or the Rig Monitoring.

How to run Forager on WIN7x64 ?
Is it just run Autostart.bat after modify Config.ini ?

Start.bat - Menu based run. It will ask you to select Mode and Pools
Autostart.bat - Example file for launching without manually selecting every time. You can edit it to your liking and set Mode and Pools in it.

4ward, good looking miner, but just a few questions,

How to disable Nvidia on a mixed rig
What core and clock speeds do you recommend for 480 and 580's
I normally run MSI with power limit -35, do i leave this as is or do I change it to 0 and will Forager work out the most profitable?
Also how to separate and group different cards, the 480 and 580 are all in one group as Ellesmere8.

Thanks

run DeviceList.bat, it will generate an example GpuGroups value for all the devices you have
you can then edit it and put in the Config.ini file

an example RX580+RX480 groups would look something like (this also disables NVIDIA, since there is no NVIDIA group defined):
Code:
GpuGroups = [{"GroupName": "RX580s", "Type": "AMD", "Devices": "0,1", "PowerLimits": "0"}, {"GroupName": "RX480s", "Type": "AMD", "Devices": "2,3", "PowerLimits": "0"}]

If you leave "PowerLimits": "0", it will not be changed by Forager.

Regarding core/mem, since different algos work differently, I would recommend to use a memory timings mod, and undervolt gpu/mem (depends on your cards, but for me 1060 on gpu and 900 mem works great on rx480 with Uber 3.1 timings)

125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: lolMiner 0.43 Universal Equihash Miner, Update: Aug 29th: Added ZERO and SCash on: August 31, 2018, 12:21:41 PM
Actually OptiminerZero is almost same for AMD with RX480 8GB. Just slightly slower. But for 4GB cards, I believe the difference is significant. Smiley

Haha yea your right. Glad that "consistently" does not say anything about the spread ^^ But the new code will come and its looking good we can push the 8G further. Well both cards in fact but also some 3G cards Wink

By the way, except for "please add support for free personalization string" no one yet followed my voting on the 0.5 features. No opinions on that?

from my point of view:

- 210.9 (Aion) mining code
- 200.9 (Zcash, …) mining code
Any new algo is useful, although I'm not sure about profitability. Nevertheless, I believe those would be 1st priority

- A memory saving 144.5 variant (sub 2G, approx 10 – 15% slower then the large memory one)
- A memory saving 192.7 variant (sub 2G, approx 25 – 30% slower then the large memory one)
2nd priority, but people with 2GB cards might argue Smiley

- An HTML version of the API (viewing)
As long as we already have some kind of api, less important. But would be great if the API was similar to XMRig or CCminer or something else that is already wide spread.

- Coupling of multiple miners, so  API of one rig can show stats of whole farm
Let external tools handle that

- Re-Design of stats module & API, e.g. logfile output and so on … need some more ideas here, comments welcome!

Beyond that - I'd love to see AMD optimizations.
NVIDIA have many developers working on miners and most new algos support only NVIDIA, so AMD love would be great Wink
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: lolMiner 0.43 Universal Equihash Miner, Update: Aug 29th: Added ZERO and SCash on: August 31, 2018, 12:10:51 PM
How do I specified advanced pool config details via password field?

e.g.

lolMiner -coin=ZER -apiport=4002 -pool=equihash192.mine.zergpool.com -port=2144 -user=****************************** -pass=Password,c=BTC -disable_memcheck=1 -devices=2
-------------------------------------------------
             Welcome to lolMiner 0.43

This software is only meant for pool mining
with the Equihash 96.5, 144.5 or 192.7 algorithm

         Made by Lolliedieb, August 2018
-------------------------------------------------
Warning: Malformed parameter: -pass=Password,c=BTC
Warning: No user profile defined in command line (-profile=<profileName> missing)
Using only DEFAULT section and command line input

...

I tried converting it with System.Web.HttpUtility]::UrlEncode

-pass=Password,c=BTC -> -pass=BlackBox%2cc%3dBTC

but then the miner sned the sting as is to the pool :-(

Right, I also saw this, but forgot to report... It limits mining on YIIMP type pools

That said, for AMD GPUs and 144.5 this is currently the only miner and for 96.5 and 192.7 this miner is consistently faster then Optiminer - so probably for AMD users the best avail option.

Actually OptiminerZero is almost same for AMD with RX480 8GB. Just slightly slower. But for 4GB cards, I believe the difference is significant. Smiley

Hi,

Forager is working great on three rigs, including mixed amd and nvidia. You are doing great job with this profit switcher!
Thank you! Smiley

Quote
I'm getting reliable results on Nicehash, but I wish I could increase my profits by adding in one more pool. I did some tests with zpool and the results were dismal. If you were to pick one other pool (other than miningpoolhub) which do you think gives best profits?
Try Blockmasters or ZergPool

Quote
I also am still having trouble with rig of mixed amd cards. I think some of the miners get conflicting gpu ids. Then there are two miners running and fighting for the same card. Is that possible? I haven't looked at that in a while, but considering to try again. This time will include Vega card, extra tricky.
It's possible, unfortunately I can't test all possible configurations Smiley

Please let me know which miners have this issue. I can check if I can change miner config flags or find a workaround Smiley

Hi,

I hope you can help me out. I did a big rework today, shuffled cards, reloaded Windows, downloaded Forager (from master repo this morning). I've got Forager and the miner locking up over and over after just a few minutes of running and getting couple of shares. I have cut the config down to Nicehash + Heavy algo.

I put mixed AMD cards in the rig and I wonder if that is causing the problem. 2 rx 560 and 2 rx 580. I guess I'll try pulling cards next...

I have things running perfectly and then I always break it.  Angry

There isn't much I can do if miner hangs, but a few suggestions:
1. Make sure you set all cards to Compute mode
2. Try setting "GpuGroupByType = Disabled" in config. This way it will create 2 groups, one for 580, one for 560 and might help with some miners
3. See if its the same miner every time and exclude it in config

Bminer 10.2 and SRBminer 1.6.7 released.

both updated in master branch

hello i am trying to use this program and i got it running now on 1 coin

but is there a way to let it select between MiningPoolHub and ThePirateMine because if i run the start.bat it only gives a a few pools to select (12 i think) and thepiratemine is not in that list

a other question i have is you can not see if its submiting blocks or somting or do i need to pres some button? somting like this (from a other miner)

on your miner i just have this: also i noticed is not giving the poolspeed it says 0

1. PirateMine doesn't provide profit information and therefore doesn't have Automatic profile (only manual)

What information do you need? Because i had a PM with you and i sended all the information you needed. Please tell me what you need.

If we are talking about profitability, it's an estimation of how much you earn for your hashrate (normalized to BTC, to be able to compare. This means that the coin must have an active exchange)
If you want to implement this, you need exchange rates of the coins you have on the pool and I can help you with the formula (send me a PM).

For the PoolSpeed in the interface, I need to know the api endpoint for specific pools that return current hashrate for wallet + worker (also for wallet balance, to be able to show balance in the app)

1. PirateMine doesn't provide profit information and therefore doesn't have Automatic profile (only manual)

You can use CoinCalc and/or WhatToMine virtual pools for profit information and put the following in config.ini
Code:
WhatToMinePoolOrder = MiningPoolHub,PirateMine
CoinCalcPoolOrder = MiningPoolHub,PirateMine

But keep in mind that not all coins are supported by CoinCalc and WhatToMine.

2. Forager starts the actual miners and monitors them, but the miners run in minimized windows. You can click on them in the taskbar to see what they submit.
Regarding PoolSpeed in the interface - MPH reports it with delay and PirateMine doesn't report it, so it always shows 0

You can also change in config.ini to make them always show:
Code:
MinerWindowStyle = Normal

@Lolliedieb

Can you please add an option to support custom personalization strings?

Support for 192,7 (Zero and new SafeCash with different personalization string)
There is a beta miner for NVidia you released some time ago, is it coming to AMD? Wink

Support for pool side coin personalization string switching for Zergpool (Like EWBF miner for NVIDIA)?

currently i have serious problems gettin driver later than 388 installed, the driver install is crashing , black screen, unresponsive, after restart windows tries to repair, fails, restarts, crashes and thats it. will try to set restore point and do a manual driver update after basic windows downloaded driver.
yesterday i had to reinstall windows 3 times... i hate it

I'll do something for the 9.1 cuda, but it will take some time
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Forager] v18.08.1 - Multi-Pool profit switching miner (AMD/NVIDIA/CPU) on: August 15, 2018, 03:25:10 PM
just 2 1060 for now :-) testing purpose atm.
What files do i need to replace? currently using latest release from github.

this is the change commit:
https://github.com/yuzi-co/Forager/commit/4f3091d178fefedd81a5174ed588ac7a9be7e6dd

Also, if you are using drivers with CUDA 9.1, it might explain the issues with some miners

In most cases I only include CUDA 9.2 miner versions (when there are several option), and some miners only exist for 9.2
I need to think how can I support several versions
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Forager] v18.08.1 - Multi-Pool profit switching miner (AMD/NVIDIA/CPU) on: August 15, 2018, 02:44:45 PM
This neat tool is really amazing, however i have a few open questions:
On Restart does it always start to benchmark? How to avoid this, as it takes really long time to test the non-working Algo-Miner-Gpu-combinations...
There are many miners which are not working, only a few support my current setup, how do i exclude those miner-software from benchmarking?
How to force only one errorous test per tested miner-algo combination, not 3?
thx

On restart it runs a benchmark on any non-benchmarked combinations

You can disable non-working miners using "ExcludeMiners_AMD =" where AMD is the device group. You can also simply remove the miner json files, but if you do it in config, you can more easily migrate your changes to new version

Currently its hardcoded to 3 attempts

Also, there is a new version in the git master (still not as a release) with less miners active by default (without the less profitable). They are still available but disabled by default

What is your current hardware/os/drivers? Which miners you have issues with?
I can probably optimize the setup more, but I need more details Smiley
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: greenTea 0.3 - MultiPoolMiner with autoswitch for Nice and others on: August 14, 2018, 12:55:32 PM

By the way, for GTX 1060 3GB  users under windows 7 with cuda 9.1 Forager is not suitable at all.

So, for GTX 1060 3GB  strongly recommended use Windows 7 with greenTea Cuda 9.1 Pack and NVIDIA Driver 391.01

is there any performance gain from CUDA 9.2 on the miners that have both 9.2 and a lower version?
