-G 2 does not work on systems with more than six cards , whats another option for that ?

2 instances of sgminer

tried that it just crashes

I also had the line -d 0,1,2,3

to try and start the first instance
and the second with -d 4,5.. ?

hi
is possible add more alternative pools if first one crashes.
is somewhere instructions how to config?

That can be handled by external programs, there are several promoted in the mining forum.

Thanks for reply
I needed to know, if this is not possible directly
you have some experience, you can recommend program ??
Windows/Linux

Check my signature for Forager.
Supports many pools and both GPU / CPU mining in Windows
244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Automating loading Afterburner profiles on: May 28, 2018, 09:17:47 AM
1. Open google
2. Search for "MSI Afterburner preset command line"
3. Click the first link - "MSI Afterburner preset switch automation"

Hey guys,
AMD released a new driver today - 18.5.1

I havenīt done further testing, but it looks like my hashrate improved of around 1-3%. (mining Cryptonight-Heavy)

(source: https://www.guru3d.com/news-story/download-radeon-software-adrenalin-edition-18-5-1.html)

Which cards can you confirm the 1-3% increase for?

I can actually state a DEcrease for RX480

back to 18.3.4
246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [CryptoNight] Forked coins, ASIC resistance and current algorithms on: May 23, 2018, 04:43:45 AM
Aeon isn't ASIC resistant yet, they will fork June 1st (https://github.com/aeonix/aeon-rebase/commit/020337022c8ee93880bdd8f25b4ab976453ed19f)
I was basing my post on their announcement thread where they were saying that AEON is ASIC resistant.

In the comments from the git repository I see they are talking about adopting more changes from Monero but maybe it isn't related to the changes regarding ASIC resistance but something else.

Do you know anyone mining it with ASICs?

That part of the announcement wasn't changed since 2014 when people couldn't even think of an ASIC for CN

Difficulty and Hashrate charts for AEON clearly show that ASICs are in play Wink

ALLOY -                   Cryptonight Super Heavy
HAVEN PROTOCOL -  CN-Heavy
Thanks for the suggestions! Smiley

I've added Heaven & Alloy on the main post of this thread. Alloy seems to have a custom algorithm called Alloy-Cryptonight. More details here: https://alloyproject.org/

If I understood correctly XMO still in cryptonight classique

But XMR is in a new cryptonight mode which is not ASIC'able

What about BCN, XDN and AEON ?

Thanks
As far as I know, BCN & XDN did not fork and aren't ASIC resistant.

AEON, on the other hand is ASIC reistant: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=641696.0 I've added it. Smiley

248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [CPU] JCE Miner Cryptonight/forks, brand new, super fast! on: May 22, 2018, 05:32:36 PM
Autoconfig issue
On 4core 6mb cache cpu (i5 7600k)

ipbc (variant 6) creates 1 cached thread with multi_hash 2, and 3 cached threads without multi_hash, practically wasting 1mb of cache

litev7 (variant 4), with same scratchpad size of 1mb, correctly creates 2 threads with multi_hash 2, and 2 without multi_hash

confirmed hashrate increase from 880h/s to 950 h/s

Forager 1.6 released
https://github.com/yuzi-co/Forager/releases

Changelog:
- Update JCEminer to v0.29
- Add CoinCalculators virtual pool (coincalculators.io)
- Add CryptoKnight pool
- Fix bug with selecting more than one pool in START menu
- Small fixes

250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CoinCalculators.io - Mining calculator website and mobile app. on: May 21, 2018, 04:54:19 PM
If CryptoNightLiteV1 is the Turtle algo, maybe it's more correct to call it CryptoLight V7 (by analogy with CryptoNight V7)
Or as long as it's consistent for all coins on site, doesn't really matter... Wink

But please correct BitTube, since they use their custom variant of CryptoLight, which is CryptoLightIPBC (or however you would prefer to call it)

Forager 1.5 released
https://github.com/yuzi-co/Forager/releases

Changelog:
- Important fix for pool price sorting
- Update SgminerKL to 1.0.4
252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] Mining Pool Hub - Multipool. Multialgo, Auto Exchange to any coin. on: May 20, 2018, 05:23:52 PM
I have a question regarding the auto coin switch feature. I have never done auto-switching because you loose too much to PPLNS when switching pools. But since this feature is built-in the pool and you connect with a specific port, do you still loose a lot of shares when the pool switch coin or is it ok because the pool uses the same pool connection regardless of the coin mined by the auto-switching port?

i believe the auto switch only occurs when the current pool hits a block. then it goes to the next pool if it thinks its more profitable

might be wrong though..

I'm pretty sure MPH said somewhere that the auto-switch prefers to get the block before switching
253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PHI1612 sgminer needs update for amd cards ( we need ur help ). on: May 20, 2018, 05:19:19 PM
Being half a year old doesn't make it obsolete. Sometimes there just isn't much to be gained by iterative improvement.

But there is a actually a new one, a little bit faster, here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3568042.0

I can't say that sgminer-kl is faster than sgminer-phi-5.6.1-bitbandi-3. On my Strix RX480 (default settings 1310/2000MHz; BIOS mod Uber 3.1) gives the same 15Mh (15,2-15,3) at I=21. So when using RX580 (as an example KL0nLutiy), there should be no difference.

On RX480, default clocks (1266/2000) with Uber 3.1 I get about 1-2% with KL (from 14.9-15 to 15.2-15.3).
Both miners tested with "-k phi -g 2 -w 256 -X 256"

Like I said, "a little bit faster" Wink

My ASUS RX580 DUAL 8GB gets "sick" when using asm kernel. I tried lowering intensity, no change. No OC.
Any idea why? Maybe the ETH Bios mod?

EDIT: flashed back the original bios, no change Sad
AFAIK compute mode causes the crashes. Switch to graphics or install blockchain driver.

from my experience asm mode works only with blockchain driver from august

oh wow didn't know that Amazon was banned by Russians.
They tried to ban Telegram, but in fact banned huge subnets belonging to Amazon and Google because Telegram kept changing service ips  Grin

Although I believe they have lifted most of the bans
260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [CPU] JCE Miner Cryptonight/forks, brand new, super fast! on: May 15, 2018, 09:12:02 PM
interestingly, 2 cached threads with double-hash give almost the same performance with almost half the power usage and responsive system, so until I find a better combination, ill stop there )

Ok, so I decided to try some extreme values

The config above on i5 7600k was giving ~100h cn-heavy

Running 4 cached threads with multi_hash 6 gives me a huge jump to 166h (pool side result confirms huge increase, although because its luck based - it fluctuates)
But definitely higher than automatic 100-105 Wink
