121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL][MULTI] Hash.so multicoin pool with easy coin switching, 35 coins! on: February 26, 2014, 10:09:47 PM
I created an account under cosmocoin pool, but I wanted to add another worker for reddcoin.  how do you select a specific coin for an specific worker? or is the only way to switch coins manually? because that's the only option I noticed on the webiste.  I wanted to use several pools for multiminer with your pools, but it seems it can't do it.  Thanks in advance.
From the info that you posted, I read that you want to be able to switch individual workers to specific coins from the web page.  If that is correct, currently, I have not found a way to do that either.

The coin switching option is tied to the user account only.  So when you select a new coin to mine, it switches your workers of your account to the new coin, but only the workers using port 1337.

It would be nice to be able to have the option to switch specific workers only.

I only have a few scrypt miners, but I have two of them on port 1337 and one of them on the port for a specific coin (SOL port 3385).  With this setup of course, I can only use the web page to auto-switch two of the miners.  The "SOL" miner has to be changed from the console by me if I want to mine a different coin.

OK.  I just spent a few minutes to read about multiminer on github and it looks like you can just setup each pool you want to use by their specific ports.  At hash.so to see each coins specific port that it uses, select the "Getting Started" link while on that coins pool page.

EDIT NOTE:  BTW, reddcoin uses port 3371
122  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Raspberry Pi Mining Rig on: February 15, 2014, 03:19:08 AM
I have been using minepeon on my RPi.  I started with some ASICMiner erupters but I sold them, now I have some of my BFL Jalapenos running on it.

I know there is a post here at bitcointalk about minepeon somewhere, but here is the link to the minepeon main page. There you can find all the information and links you need to get your hardware up an running.
123  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [4000Th] Eligius: 0% Fee BTC, 105% PPS NMC, No registration, CPPSRB (New Thread) on: February 13, 2014, 11:32:54 AM
Hello folks can someone help me out on entering my address on this pool

im using cgi miner

its says use stratum+tcp://stratum.mining.eligius.st:3334 -u YourAddress -p x -I 9

Whats the bits in red for or do i just miss those out totally and put:-

stratum+tcp://stratum.mining.eligius.st:3334 -u myaddressimmediatelyafterhere -p x

also do i leave worker and password empty then?

thanks
I adjusted your post above.  You need to keep the spaces in the command line.

The "YourAddress" is your bitcoin address.  The password part can stay as shown above.  The interrupt setting is for GPU mining which is a waste of electricity at the current difficulty.  If you are running an ASIC, then you do not need the "-I 9" setting. All of this is in the cgminer readme files.

125  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] $100 Starbucks eGift Card on: February 11, 2014, 03:45:28 PM
I have purchased two of the $100 gift cards in the past from coingig.  I was just there to get another one and all of the cards show "not available".  Did they start getting to many complaints or something?
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL][MULTI] Hash.so multicoin pool with easy coin switching, 31 coins! on: February 11, 2014, 03:18:39 PM
Just wanted to say "Thanks" for hosting these pools.

I like the ability to change coins so easily.  I've had fun watching over the coins and selecting the one that I wanted to mine at that point in time.  So much so, that I ordered the hardware for another 2MH/s to add to my scrypt miners.

CSM00 - 10 - Paid

Hey demonmaestro,

Would you verify the address for Batch 2 orders?  I ask because I am paying for 4 units and checked the blockchain to verify the address for 16 units already paid, and there is only 1.15BTC that has gone to that address.

I want to send my payment to the correct place.   Wink
129  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [ CLOSED ] VX-1 Miner Group Buy - Free 1 TH/s Miner Giveaway on: February 10, 2014, 07:39:15 AM
I'll always be happy to prevent even one person from sending away their hard earned money for something they will never receive.
That's what I was trying to do way back in post #21 of this thread.  Simply opening the 4U case to show the miners would have helped, but as we see so far, there was no miner to show.  If actual pics cannot be shown, then beware to the purchaser.
130  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: VX-1 Miner Group Buy - Free 1 TH/s Miner Giveaway on: February 08, 2014, 07:27:47 AM

Thanks for your feedback. I knew it was only a matter of time, and its totally fine. Just a few things i would like to point out to you, not trying to change your opinion or anything, but if we are going to go down this road now i think we might as well be sure to get the facts straight.

1: The PO box listed belongs to Yahoo, which is a reseller of domains for Melbourne IT. It took me 2 minutes on google to find that out. It seems everyone thinks they are a super slueth because they can do a WhoIs lookup on a domain these days.

2: If you took a minute to read anything on their website before trying to be the hero where you most certainly will fail here, they are not a "business" nor do they have any interest in being a company. Its 2 guys in their garages who got sick of the big companies waiting games and crap customer service. It's just my opinion but after the months of overnight super companies with their 2nm miracle miners, or the big companies with the never ending guessing game of when will i get my equipment, I am glad to see the little guy fight back. Even if they are only making 200 machines.

3: If in fact it is a scam, then they sure wasted a ton of money with advanced circuits having them make a ton of PCB's for their vaporware as you want to imply, they also wasted even more time working with Nwoolls to integrate their device drivers and features into his software.

4: If you take even a minute to read through anything on their site (which it's obvious you have not ), they have been pretty honest and straight forward about their intentions, who they are, and what they are doing. They are no big business, and dont even refer to themselves as a company. It's their "project" to beat the odds.

5: Yeah, i dont really have anything for 5, except every group buy or new miner is going to have a few accusations, many of them legit. I am sure you didnt look too much further than a whois domain lookup or any of my own activity at all, but if you had, you would have found that i was the one who verified the CTS miner was a scam. For you to think that i would stake my reputation on this forum, with me being so new, on a product i did not dig a mile deep into, would be pure insanity.

In closing, i understand and am fully aware that accusations and trolls are a part of any topic or thread on this forum, and i fully expected to get a ton of them on this thread with me being newer to the forum....... But if we are going to go down this road, can we please skip the WhoIs ninja's who spend no more than 5 minutes looking into something and think they have the magic answer. You are all very entitled to litter this thread with your blather, those of us who are here to get a good deal on hardware will manage to navigate through your litter. But if you must, please do more than 5 minutes of homework.

I did read the site and it is all just text with nothing to support any of the info.  No links, no txid's for chip purchase, nothing but words.

I would like you to prove this is a legit deal.  If so, I will be a customer and once I have ran the miner I will support it with mining facts and pics of the miner running.  But....So far, everything on the site does not bode well to this being a real miner.

How about some photos of the miner with the case lid off while it is mining?

There was just a 72 hr test run, where are pics or videos of this test run?

The pics of the miner components with forum user name on a piece of paper will make a lot of difference.  Pics of a generic 4u case is not proof of an asic miner.

You can change my perception of this miner with some proof.  If you do, I will create a post stating a retraction to my previous posts here.

BTW here is the info from nwoolls:
Hi Nwools, Sorry to cut in on your thread but i found a miner last night that claims to have MM support and they say they have talked with you about this and will have some advanced support with MM like overclocking. I just wanted to verify that was true and that they have in fact spoke with you to make sure its not a scam. They said something about sending you a demo machine in march on their website which made me a little worried so i wanted to verify your support with MM of their miner. They are calling it the VX-1 miner if that helps you remember them.

The blog post i found it on is here http://www.vxminers.com/blog/2014/01/26/multi-miner-compatibility-confirmed

Could you verify this for me please? If its true i want to get some ordered before everyone else finds out about them.

Yes I can confirm this is true. I will say I have no proof of hardware or anything of that sort. But I have been talking to them, they are working on the source for MultiMiner to add support for their rigs, and they are intending on sending me a unit so that I can maintain their changes. They seem like very bright and nice folks. Nothing seems shady (to me) so far.

Notice the "no proof of hardware or anything of that sort".
131  Economy / Digital goods / [WTS] 3-Month XBox Live Gold Cards on: February 08, 2014, 06:17:56 AM
I have some 3-month XBox Live Gold Membership cards that I want to sell.

I will sell each card individually for 0.0263BTC

I have some trades behind me so if you want escrow, you pay, but it must be with a hero member that we both agree upon.

The pics are of the front of the cards and the back.  The back pic is to show that the silver over the pin number has not been scratched off.

Once I receive the btc, I will scratch off the card and pm you the code.  Please be able to verify the code right away.  I just tested one and it was applied to my account, so the rest should work just fine.

If there are any problems I will try and help you out. If we cannot get the code to work with help from XBox support, then I will send you another code or your btc back.  This is to protect me from others using the code then claiming that it did not work.  Xbox support will be able to tell me if the code worked or not.

I have two xbox's on a clearwire 4g router that sucks for on-line FPS games. We just play local co-op games since early last summer, that is why I have not used these last few cards.

132  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: VX-1 Miner Group Buy - Free 1 TH/s Miner Giveaway on: February 08, 2014, 04:08:16 AM
So far all I see is a 4u server case that anyone can buy.  Its even setting in the what looks like the corner of a bedroom, laundry basket and all.

How about showing the case open, so we can see the actual miner card(s).

For a start of a business, it sure looks poor.

So a little online research and we find that the above PO Box and phone number have been used in many scams in the past:

Anyone having a long delay with a cashout request?

The last time I requested a cashout on the balances page, it showed up in my wallet within the hour.  I did one today, about 10 hours ago, and it still has not shown up.

On the balances page, it still shows the same "current balance" but when I try to repeat the cashout, it shows that the balance is zero.

Something is stuck with the cashout.

Are you cashing out MEOW to Cryptsy? Those seem to be stuck on Cryptsy's end.
Nope.

Just BTC to my local wallet.

Received my package today, on time and all looks good.  I am awaiting delivery of a cpu for a new miner build and I will be using these on it, so I will post after I have it running.

Trust added for the trade.

I'll take 5.  Waiting for wallet to sync, then I will send PM with all info.

Took a look at your personal site, seen some pics from Yuma.  I was there 83-85 with 2nd LAAM Bn, 3rd MAW (HAWK Missle).  Did two tours overall with a 6-month extension added on for my second school during my first enlistment.

Congrats to all on finding the last 2.19G Block.
Due you mean 2.62G Block since it changed today?

No, he meant the final 2.19G block, before it changed to 2.62G.
OK.  Thanks.  Now that I have some caffeine in me, I see he said "the last".

Note to self:  Late to bed + 3 hours of sleep = caffeine first then not posting to forum(s) until after caffeine kicks in.

Totally unrelated side note: Doom's BFG actually means Bio-Force Gun.
* Luke-Jr ducks.
That was the weapons name in the Doom movie.  In the game itself, it was the Big F******g Gun.
I didn't think the game ever defined it?

The abbreviation BFG stands for "Big F*cking Gun" as described in Tom Hall's original Doom design document and in the user manual of Doom II: Hell on Earth. The Quake II manual says it stands for "Big, uh, freakin’ gun".

I have the original floppies packed away somewhere. Just have to scrounge up a 3.5" floppy drive.  Should have one on one of my old netware servers.  I know that one of the games, either Doom or Quake, did the announcement in-game when someone picked up the BFG.  But when I try to think back, I only hear the damn "Headshot" from Unreal Tournament, and now that is stuck in my head.   Angry
