We should be in fail-safe now/soon/eventually/?

My miners status changed to:

         Unpaid Balance   Shares Rewarded
As of last block:      0.00000000 BTC      100.00%
Estimated Change:   +0.18977860 BTC   -3.65%
Estimated Total:      0.18977860 BTC      96.35%

That is with 5TH/s.  The above is not normal.

And the queue shows:

Payout Queue

Total: 0.00000000 BTC
Block Count: 1

Number   Address   Age   Balance
Note: There are also 1426 addresses with timeout balances less than 10 TBC but more than 2 TBC, totalling 0.00000000 BTC which are not included in the automated payout queue and will be paid manually.

But the back-end is running fine and my miners are mining away happily with shares being accepted!!!
22  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 Sales open] Price changes daily, now 0.414 BTC for 180GH/s on: June 10, 2014, 12:12:31 AM
I got an AntMiner S1 about 3 months ago. I had a hard time setting it up. My network was not on the same subnet as the S1.
After I got it set up, it ran for 3 months with out any downtime. But 3 days ago after a power outage my S1 shut down and never started up again.
I have changed the power supply to one I know works.
I have pressed the reset button (powered up and powered down)
I have set my PC to the same subnet range as the miner.

I get one red light labeled "pwr" and one flashing greenish/yellowest led in the upper left hand side of the control board.
The LAN adapter thing... the Ethernet port blinks a few times with a yellow light before fading out.

I can not connect to it. I installed a ip port scanner but it shows nothing.

Help me plz Anyone.
The blades get hot but I can't connect to the device. The fan dose not spin even when it gets really hot.

If the LAN/wifi/control module has burned out, dose any one sell replacements?
When you pressed the reset button, the device reset to the original config in the firmware, so whatever you did to get it configured the first time, you need to do that again.

If your network is 192.168.2.x and the default for the antminer is on the 192.168.1.x network, an IP port scanner will not see it.

You can configure your desktop/laptop to a 192.168.1.x address and find the antminer at 192.168.1.99.  You can then change the antminer IP and reboot it.  Change your desktop/laptop back with its normal IP config and you should be good to go.

Can someone help me I am having a hard time getting my cubes to connnect to stratum and mine

http://oi58.tinypic.com/vy2irq.jpg

This is my settings for the cube miner

I have a batch file that opens the stratum proxy using this code

cd C:\Program Files (x86)\Proxy
mining_proxy.exe -o us1.ghash.io -p 3333

and I am getting these errors

Don't know if you have solved this by now, but here is my two-cents of info.

It's been a while since I messed with one of these, but I think the problem is that you need to specify a getworks port on the proxy for the cubes to connect correctly.  They are "getwork-based" miners.

Use:

mining_proxy.exe -o us1.ghash.io -p 3333 -gp 8332

Then in the cube configuration, set "Pool ports" to  8332,8332 instead of the 3333,3333 that you are currently using. Then select the "Update/Restart" tab to save and restart the cube.

Once that is tested and the cube is working, I would add a few more arguments that will help your cube work better.

Try this:

mining_proxy.exe -nm -q -rt -o us1.ghash.io -p 3333 -gp 8332

These arguments are:

-nm, --no-midstate    Don't compute midstate for getwork. This has outstanding performance boost with the blades/cubes.

-q, --quiet           Make output more quiet

-rt, --real-target    Propagate >diff1 target to getwork miners. Some miners work incorrectly with higher difficulty.

winner!!
that looks cool.
did you make the outer casing yourself ??
either way.. you win. just a shame I am not a judge in this :/

Well now that that's over, back to the matter at hand...  Grin

This is a GPU rig I'm building (and will use for more than just mining) but for some reason when I add the 3rd GPU cgminer can't find it for OpenCL on the ADL monitoring works.  The next 2 slots open are both x8 and the 3rd x16 is hidden under the right GPU (nice design of the board) but it says it supports 4 Way CrossFire.  I'm going to try Windows today right now it's Xubuntu... with the 2 GPUs it hashes at 7GH/s on Blake256....

Can I get one too, will be much appreciated.

"mitak64" is the name
Did you not get a S2 coupon for your purchase recently?  I only ask because I have these coupons from a purchase that I made on May 28th.

If not and you are planning on another purchase, I will send you one.

Now, for everyone else:

For those that are sending me pm's asking for coupons.  I will probably send you one if you are making a purchase, but if you have been reselling them, then forget it.  If you are not a buyer, dont ask for a coupon.

I guess I need to add that I will not send a coupon to new user accounts either.  You need some history here before I will even think about sending a coupon.

What kind of a controller is it? Can any one give out something about the controller?
It is a TP-Link TL-WR743N/ND v2 controller.  It is running OpenWRT Barrier Breaker r38031.

So, its a wireless router controller running cgminer.

I'm looking to explore this. Can you guide me to a good forum or link discussing about this controller, if any?
the openwrt forum would be a good start.
So true.

Here are a few to get you started:

How can I make the Ant LAN only?

I have tried to do it but it doesn't work.

Are there any guides?

Thanks

Are you asking to make it use the ethernet port?
31  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 Sales open] Price changes daily, now 0.414 BTC for 180GH/s on: June 07, 2014, 10:27:00 AM
If you're using a home router shared by more than 5 users accross all direction and floors you may run into problem like that.
I have recreated the wifi interface in the Ant.

When I scan for the network the signal is 70%+.
When I click join the network I get 0% signal.....
I had the same problem with one of miners in my last batch of five S1's.  One seen the wifi network fine but it was a 50/50 chance trying to get it connected.  I finally change that miner out with a different S1 that was on an ethernet connection.

I have a home router and have over 30 miners connected to it, 10 are on wifi, the rest are on ethernet cable across five TP-Link switches.  Beside those, I have a wireless laptop, my phone, and a tablet that all connect to the wifi.  I have an old acer laptop running lubuntu running as my media center on ethernet.  All connect and use the internet fine.  A few nights a week there are 2 to 4 others here with their phones and a tablet or two also using the wifi.  The only wifi problems I have had have actually been the asic device/controller and not the home router.  On top of all of that, I am using a ClearWire 4G modem to connect to the internet.

Same here, stats page is down, but hashing is still working.

I have one S1 AntMiner still connected to Eligius and it is still hashing away.  Twenty-six other S1's, some blades, and the few BFL miners I have left are on their backup pool, all showing Eligius as dead.

OK.  One more S1 just switched back to Eligius.  So far, all of the miners that I checked show Eligius pool as dead, except for two of them now.

is eligius pool down or some problem..?? ddos..Huh

all my miner are having connection problems

Same here.  Slowly, all of my miners are switching over to fail-over pools.  Hmmmm, down to one miner on eligius now.  Thirty-six of my miners have switched.
36  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 Sales open] Price changes daily, now 0.419 BTC for 180GH/s on: June 03, 2014, 02:04:25 AM
Recieved another group of S1's.  Out of the five, one will not mine worth a crap.  This miner will start out at around 140GH/s and drop down from there until it goes on the way to no hashing and then it will restart and try again.

So what do I do now with this S1 that does not work?

I had one like this, it was starting, going to ~150, then dropping to nothing, flashing bright green, then restarting.
On this particular miner on the top board (above the sink) one large black chip had a red mark on it (I checked all others-they had either nothing or green or black mark). I assume that it is somewhat defective. That large black chip was severely overheating (results I got with temperature sensor). I was able to fix this miner to a reasonable hashing at ~180gh at standard 350 mhz, but it absolutely requires an additional fan airflow toward the top of the miner and this miner cannot overclock at all. Perhaps, your situation is different, but give it a shot with an extra fan outside. Check if that chip is marked.
I am posting two photos-top is of somewhat defective miner (see mark on a chip), bottom-normal miner (see small mark in green/black)
(images removed for quote)
Yep. It has a red line on it.  I will have to go check the other to see about them.

Must be a QA/QC screw-up.  They mark it as bad and then go ahead and use it any ways.

It shows no XXX's, all OOO's, just will not hash right.

I tried this miner on two known good power supplies that have current S1's mining on them, so its not the power supply.

I tried cable fixed IP, cable DHCP, and wireless dhcp, same problem on all three.  Again, I tried a cable and antenna from a miner that has been running fine and when I was done testing, the original miner is running fine.  This new one does not.

Checked the connectors and wires on the S1, all seems good with them.

Tried to reflash the firmware, did not fix the problem.

The boards on this miner have four of the large caps on each side instead of eight.

In my last batch of eight S1's that I received, there were two miners that also had the fewer caps on their boards.  They mine but pop up errors and have to be rebooted once in a while. The do mine, I just have to keep an eye on them.  When they error, they drop to 120-140GH/s normally, but they have completely XXX'd out and had to be rebooted a couple of times.  I have moved them around with other miners but the problem stays with those units.

So what do I do now with this S1 that does not work?

So was it really a horrible day of luck, or are things really behind?  It still doesn't look right, 13+ hours later.

It was a bad streak.

I recently bought an Antminer S1 but it has a poor wifi signal even with an antenna attached.

It's exceptionally poor wifi because I have another Antminer directly beside it and that Antminer receives an adequate signal

Is this issue common?  Is there a fix?
Out of the last eight S1's that I received, two of them can see the wifi but cannot connect once they are setup.  I have a total of ten on wifi at the moment, the rest are using TP ethernet.  I have tried reflashing the firmware, but the wifi on those two machines just wont work.

Why dont you switch the ones on Ethernet with the ones that wont work on wifi and put the old ethernet ones on wi fi. Unless you really want to go through rma.
I was just answering the question about the wifi problems.  I have already rotated miners to where they work best.

I ran out of power ports in the front of the warehouse and had to setup the others in the back temporarily with wifi until I can finish adding the power drops I need for all of the miners in the front.
