1521  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin better than Fiat? on: March 19, 2021, 10:42:59 PM
for me of course Bitcoin is much better than fiat...
Bitcoin has 2 functions as a currency and also an investment asset while fiat is only a currency. but many are still very afraid because of the price volatility and high Bitcoin transaction fees. *Bitcoin is unmatched

I agree with you. Bitcoin seems more functional than fiat to me. But the volatility in the price really makes me uncomfortable time to time especially if I have an investment.  Grin  But still it is really a huge freedom for us to have the full control of our crypto.
1522  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter hackers pleads guilty and agree to a 3 year in prison on: March 19, 2021, 12:53:31 PM
I think him pleading guilty really help him reduce the sentence.

And as he has served already, in just a couple of years he could be out and then probation in three years. I think that's good enough. He is still young and maybe that's one reason that the sentence is not that harsh for some of us. Institutions are trying to give him a chance to redeem himself and use his talent in good way that can help the society. Like fighting flaws in a system or try to break it, sort of becoming a white ethical hacker or something.

I exactly think the same way with you. He is still very young and I hope that it will be a very good lesson for him. And it looks like he really has a big talent on hacking and I think the government should convince him to be a white ethical hacker and work for the sake of his country.
1523  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What made yoi think of investing in bitcoin at the current market? on: March 19, 2021, 12:46:12 PM
I was curios that bitcoin had been the favorite discussions inside and outside the forum like news popping out in regard to sudden burst of market to bitcoin. I do not know the reason behind the good market o bitcoin but as I learn about it that when demand is higher for bitcoin the market price for each bitcoin will also be directly proportional to its market price.

I just wonder if you want to earn in bitcoin investment then a smart investor would invest in while bitcoin is cheaper and not the current price.

Is there any reason we can think of why people love to invest in bitcoin while market price is high?

If we take into account the current market, I think it is still sensible to make an investment in Bitcoin. First of all, you should see Bitcoin as a long-term investment place not short-term. Of course it is better to buy from a much lower level but then you will have wait for that time to come considering the current level of Bitcoin price. I still believe that people can make a nice profit in this year, if they buy now.

Now we're discussing 40000, 50000, 60000.

Yes, things have changed at a high rate for Bitcoin price and its adoption process. But it is a very big claim that 'Bitcoin can be the central bank of all other central banks'. We shouldn't forget that Bitcoin is a VOLATILE cryptocurrency. It is not a stable coin or something like that.
1525  Other / Archival / Re: What will happen to bitcoin on a world war? on: March 19, 2021, 12:24:54 PM
I don't think a world war can happen. In any case, I do not think that this will be the time for crypto.
If you read the news especially from different sources, you can see how tense the relations between superpowers and rogue nations are one snap is all that it takes for a war to burst out. If ever a war was to break out, I don't think that bitcoin is going to be the first of the things we have to worry because war claims any lives it can get its hands on so your life is the priority more than bitcoin.

Exactly. We continue to see examples for it. E.g. Biden made a statement about Putin as he is a 'killer'. Even if we don't see a World War in the future, it looks like we will continue to see things like this. And at a World War, I don't think anyone will be able to think about any currencies etc. .
1526  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In my school, Bitcoin is now becoming a subject on: March 19, 2021, 12:19:10 PM
I also decided to post it here because I think this is a big leap towards the future, from people doubting about Bitcoin and now, people are heavily relying on it, being informed, buying bitcoins, learning the ways on how to exactly earn bitcoins.

It is really great to witness many schools are caring about cryptocurrencies and deciding to have lessons about them. I have also seen the examples in some universities in my country and I believe that we will see it more in time. And the current and next generations will have great knowledge about them even at school.
1527  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency still being discussed in Nigerian Television on: March 19, 2021, 12:09:36 PM
It is really nice to see that in some countries people make a detailed analysis of Bitcoin and the other cryptocurrencies. It is an exemplary thing for all other countries and I hope too see the same thing in as many countries as possible. I also agree that it looks like Nigerians really care about cryptos and invest in them. I'm really tired of seeing people who prefer only going against cryptos rather than trying to have a better knowledge.
1528  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying 1 BTC is ‘like owning 60 cars? on: March 19, 2021, 12:02:58 PM
Francisco Blanch has made some interesting statements with the idea that he wants to destroy bitcoin, which has provoked bitcoin fans!
He has said that bitcoin as a wealth is not suitable for storage and is even weaker in financial transactions than people think. It is only able to process 1,400 transactions per hour, while the visa is processed with 236 million transactions.Francisco Blanch also considers bitcoin biodegradable due to its high energy consumption!
What do you think about it?

Destroying Bitcoin? He really believes such thing can be done? It is really hilarious.   Cheesy  Some people still don't want to understand that cryptocurrencies can't be destroyed by anything. And it is a really awkward comparison between 1 BTC and 60 cars.  Grin
1529  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Power consumption propaganda? on: March 19, 2021, 11:56:13 AM
Would be interested to hear what the point of view is on a recent increase in press statements as follows: ‘Bitcoin may soon consume more power than Australia’— almost 10 times more than Google, Microsoft and Facebook combined.
Is there anything behind this or is it just another angle of attack against bitcoin prompted by remarks by Bill Gates?.....is it even possible to calculate consumption in this way?

We have been hearing this kind of propagandas for a very long time. Especially after Bitcoin has reached great levels, the number of haters has increased also. It is true that there is a huge power consumption. But it is not a thing that you can't find a solution. Besides, I'd also like to see this kind of people speaking up for many other things that are threatening the environment.
1530  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do ordinary people feel afraid of Bitcoin? on: March 16, 2021, 05:29:57 PM
sometimes ordinary people only see the negative issues of bitcoin. when actually looking at bitcoin has a good positive side. just look at the current high prices and many people get profit there. then where are you worried about bitcoin, so I think it's just an exaggeration and it's not good for ordinary people.

There are also some people who deliberately want to show and talk about only bad news about Bitcoin. I don't understand this kind of people too. As digital currencies will have a big dominance (and maybe there will be no fiat currency left at all) in the coming years, people shouldn't antagonize cryptos and they should try to learn about them.
1531  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk again on: March 16, 2021, 05:20:14 PM
Elon Musk really loves this manipulation of his to benefit from a possible increase in BTC price as Tesla also has made a huge investment in Bitcoin. He also doesn't forget to tweet about Dogecoin.  Grin  It is really funny that Dogecoin has been created just for fun but now things are much more serious.  Cheesy
1532  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time to sell my BTC? on: March 16, 2021, 05:11:20 PM
So I bought BTC at £9000, made a nice amount. Is it a good idea to now sell this and move that money into alt coins? or should I  sell half BTC and buy back in after alt season is finished?

What do you think?

You can sell some amount of it for securing your profit or you can wait more and observe the movements of the price closely. And when it starts dropping at a high pace, you can sell it to prevent yourself from going into the red. It is actually not a thing for me or any other people to give an advice as you should decide by yourself.  Grin
1533  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoins dropped to $9.50, would you sell everything? on: March 16, 2021, 05:05:03 PM
I've got emotional for seeing this topic. The price has gone up to insane levels in 10 years. The new ATH is over 60K dollars now which is really unbelievable when you compare it with the price many years ago. I wonder, years from now, what kind of a conversation we will have.  Grin
1534  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have concluded that all governments together can't stop bitcoin on: March 16, 2021, 04:57:34 PM
I get to be thinking what about all the government of the world unite and decide to stop bitcoin and cryptocurrency ?  Grin

I have wondered if this is possible to happen despite bitcoin being decentralized. Within me, I don't think that is no more possible because bitcoin is now unstoppable. Just like water is to the fish, bitcoin is the light of the earth.

What do you say yourself ?

Cryptocurrencies can only be manipulated not destroyed. You can't stop a currency that nobody has the control of it. Bitcoin and any other cryptos are decentralized and private to ourselves. But as I said, the prices can be easily manipulated as we have an Elon Musk example lately.  Grin
1535  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your Life After 10 years in Bitcoin... on: March 16, 2021, 04:53:37 PM
~snip~

Now bitcoin is preparing to reach another ATH. Are you still there and holding your bitcoins? What happened to your life after 10 years in bitcoin? Is there any changes?

I can say that I actually made a nice profit from my investments in time. But I made also wrong decisions that caused me to miss the chance of increasing my earnings much more than now.  Grin  And I wish I knew Bitcoin much earlier and bought a really good amount and I know that too many people wish that now.  Cheesy
1536  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dont stay in crypto too long on: March 16, 2021, 04:48:18 PM
Crypto is ruled soon by sec and goverment its not goodw

Make your cash and get out of crypto
Pepple dont like regulated things fuck rules and regulations crypto is freedom if the goverment start fuck woth our bitcoins and crypto then its not good

We stay for using cash

Some governments already started imposing a tax on cryptocurrency earnings and there are more on the way. If I'm not wrong, they can't interfere with it if you don't convert your crypto to the currency of your country and you make your transactions with crypto only. I'll still go on keeping my crypto investments even if my country regulates the cryptocurrencies also.
1537  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 13, 2021, 09:42:07 AM
We are gonna have a match between Bremen and Bayern Munich today.
They can make a surprise win if they playing very good and are lucky but normaly Bayern Munich should be win this!
Wolfsburg also should be have no problems at home with Schalke.
I give Union Berlin a win also at home about Cologne.
Mainz vs Freiburg its hard to say maybe i make a draw there.
And i decided do let Dortmund win also against Hertha.

I expect Bayern to win it and continue their lead for this week also. Wolfsburg most probably will destroy Schalke home and make up for the loss vs Hoffenheim. U. Berlin got only one win in their last eight matches and they could put an end to this by defeating Köln. I also think that Mainz could get one point vs Freiburg. And I agree with you on Dortmund that they will get a nice win vs Hertha.
1538  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ FOOTBALL: UEFA Europa League 2020/21 Season on: March 12, 2021, 12:56:43 PM

Olympiakos FC 1-3 Arsenal

It was one of the enjoyable matches of the night for sure. Arsenal got a very solid performance despite playing away and they got a huge advange by totally destroying Olympiacos. After equalizing the score, Olympiacos tried desperately not to lose this but Arsenal were really dedicated to win and finished them by scoring 2 more goals in the last 10 minutes (80', 85'). Elneny's goal was really worth seeing.  Grin
1539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: March 12, 2021, 12:51:56 PM
Liverpool-Leipzig match ended just as I predicted and Liverpool have advanced to the quarter final nicely. It was really interesting to see that Liverpool still were able to eliminate Leipzig despite their very poor performance in the Premier League and Leipzig's very good form in their league also. This really proves how much important being an experienced team is in a big tournament.
Liverpool's main goal was the Champions League. Because they have not been able to perform well since the beginning of the Premier League. And Liverpool is a very experienced team. Leipzig is not as experienced as them. Everyone assumed they could defeat Leipzig. But I don't think Liverpool will be able to reach the semi-finals. My guess is that they will be eliminated later in the quarter finals.

Their main goal should absolutely be winning the Champions League now of course. Something is really going so wrong in the EPL and they still can't prevent the simple point losses. Now they are in the quarter final in the CL and we don't know which team will be their opponent. If they have a draw with Porto, things could be easier for them rather than playing against other harder opponents. Even Porto could make big difficulties for them as Porto achieved an awesome thing by eliminating Juve.
1540  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 12, 2021, 12:44:55 PM
Brian Brobbey(19) leaves Ajax and go to RB Leipzig.  Sad Ajax will miss him a lot. He was very successful this season in the Europe League.

https://twitter.com/DieRotenBullen/status/1370319540945584132

In my opinion, it is an important loss for Ajax. He is at such a young age (19) now and I believe he is also a quite talented striker. He scored 4 goals and made 2 assists in the EL and the Eredivisie in total so far. I hope he glows up at Leipzig and plays at even the biggest clubs of Europe.
