Does anyone know what happened to this pool? It suddenly vanished yesterday.
I hope it returns, I was getting good value mining on it.

so is that your bot pushing the price up and up and leaving me behind, Vigil? Sad
103  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 29, 2013, 12:50:09 AM
oh, you can copy/paste. I was trying to CRTL V, to paste, but it wasn't letting me. At least I know I can do it the right click method.
Cheers for that. It will speed up my trading.

What frustrates me about the UI is that I have exactly 0.71480550 BTC, and when I type in that I want to sell 0.71480550 BTC, it says I don't ahve enough funds to proceed.

THAT is why the new UI sucks. Oh, and also how you can't copy/paste values any more. That makes everything so slow.
105  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 29, 2013, 12:36:22 AM
It would help if Gox's new UI didn't suck balls.
Every time I go for a market order, it says I don't have enough funds, when I clearly do. It's so frustrating.
By the time I've refreshed the page, and re-entered the same volume of cash that I put in first time, the market has run off without me (again)

Well, my 0.76 has become 0.71 - like I said, even with 0% fees, I'll still end up with squat. It always, without fail, goes the opposite to what I do.
Maybe I should get a bot and set up to Crazy Ivan....
107  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 29, 2013, 12:18:02 AM
So you just need to be on the right side of the rise/fall to make a profit? Shocked

I'll still lose BTC I'm sure

Dive dive dive!

It's working nicely, buy indeed with the jump in difficulty and price, it would probably have been better if i had invested the €1000 in bitcoins while the price was still $80 instead of buying an ASIC that woul dbe delivered 6 months later.

Yeah. I had 18btc - an investment of £2000, and I spent them all (except for 0.9btc) on 2 ASICs (1x 7Gh/s jally, and 1x 30Gh/s LS).
If I'd kept the BTC, I'd now have around £10,000
As it is, I have £500 and have paid out £45 in customs charges for the Jally, and will have to pay £200 or so customs for the LS in a few days.

They better mine me at least 17.1BTC between them, or it's not been a good investment! XD

Now the first of my ASICs finally arrived I'm back mining again.

Quite disappointed to find the difficulty jumped from 50mil to 600mil in the time I was waiting (thanks BFL for the delay).

Glad to be back on board though, even if my ASIC's are generating less BTC per hour than my graphics cards were back in the day.

There are no coincidences in Bitcoin.
112  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: September 12, 2013, 03:38:06 PM
Well, I'm 100% in BTC - all 1.38 of them XD

Annoyingly, I bought in at 143, just before the big dump a few days back - after deliberating if I should.... as always.

I think the whales are connected to my brain, to do the opposite of what I need.

Seriously man, go make graphics, wait tables, mow lawns or something and use it to buy coins.  You'll do a lot better than trading 1.38 BTC...

Well, I also work 55 hours per week (minimum)... and have 2 ASICs on order, so hopefully the volume of my BTC will increase.

But to be honest, my trading is just a way of slowly building up a profit - and it is a profit, right now. About 30-40% on what I had to start with after using most my 9 BTC to buy the 2nd ASIC.

Careful guys, ask sum is going to be under 40,000 soon. This is when those who are trying to call top get itchy fingers. Price can make leaps upward, but it will be very very hard to sell at top. Trust me. crash incoming

So, since I bought in at $143.39 - should I sell out again, and wait for the crash?
115  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: September 11, 2013, 10:22:43 PM
Oooh, almost back to the price I bought in at =/
116  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: September 09, 2013, 03:10:19 PM
That's a bit of a wall (first time walls have been mentioned in here in a fair few pages, it seems!) on 135.
Hammertime? or just propping up?
117  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Real Time Charting, Order Book, and Time & Sales on: September 07, 2013, 01:23:57 AM
I'm also getting issues with it not working in Firefox with Windows 8 - showing no Time & Sales, and not updating the bid/ask prices.
It does work fine on Chrome on my machine - but I use Firefox as my browser of choice.
118  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [12 TH/s] BitMinter.com [ASIC support: var diff, Stratum, GBT, rollntime] on: July 11, 2013, 03:51:14 PM
I'd carry on, and count it as an investment for the future - at least until the next difficulty increase (I am still making profit....if you can call $0.14 per day a profit), but my apartment is getting so hot (about 29.5c), that it's worth missing out until then, just to stay cool XD
Plus, I'm extremely strapped for cash right now, and every penny saved on my electricity bill is a godsend.
119  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [12 TH/s] BitMinter.com [ASIC support: var diff, Stratum, GBT, rollntime] on: July 11, 2013, 12:07:37 PM
Well, the difficulty rose to 26 million overnight, and now it's no longer profitable for me to mine on my GPUs, so until Butterfly Labs pulls it's collective fingers out, and ships me my 37GH/s of ASICs, I must bid you adieu.
I will be back later in the year though. Keep up the good work Doc - this is the best pool I have worked with!

Does the front-end of the website crash for anyone else, when a new block is found, or is it just for me?
For a couple of minutes after a new BTC block is found, I can never access the site - just getting a cloudflare "This website is offline" page.
