21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MAX] MaxCoin - Alive and Kickin' on: February 08, 2014, 04:15:27 PM
I can't get it to work, here is my code:
Anyone know what's up?

cgminer.exe --keccak --no-submit-stale -o stratum+tcp://maxpool.1gh.com:17333 -u mUATwaKt1B9ymSHgoTRWBS628W8j7tQtZS -p x

Well, mine is;
cgminer.exe --keccak --no-submit-stale -o stratum+tcp://maxpool.1gh.com:17333 -u mNyovmbEDkdH7sFVxguoAid9m7pWCa2XeM -p x -d 1 -d 2

The only difference (apart from wallet address) is that I list my two devices (not using -d 0 as I am using that for gaming right now).
You are clicking on the batch file to boot up CGMiner and not CGMiner its self (apologies for asking this - but sometimes even I forget)

EDIT: You have downloaded the brand new version from 1GH? - the one that supports Keccak?

Due to the massive ongoing DDoS attacks motivated by the addition of MaxCoin we decided to drop support for the coin."

Thanks a fucking bunch, DDoSers  Angry

Can anyone recommend an alternate pool for ypool.net for mining maxcoins using Archit's arOpenCLMAX?

Nope, that was the only place that supported that type.  Move on to cgminer.

Is the kekack version been compiled yet? Do you have a link please?

The miner can be got from max.1gh.com
I am on there now - getting 307Mh/s per core right now on my 7990 - is there any way to screw a bit more from it?

I have a 30Gh/s Butterfly Labs ASIC I reprogrammed to mine ONLY MaxCoin, at full 30GH/s (more if you pour a cup of tea in it every now and then).
For only 1btc you can have it, my wife, my dog, and 10000doge Tongue
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AnimeCoin [アニメコイン] ANI on: February 05, 2014, 01:02:16 AM
Cheers - well, fingers crossed for some more people joining in soon!
Thanks for the new pool - it looks great (especially the front page!)

EDIT: I am not convinced about the lack of people mining is the cause of the blocks not being accepted, as the pool is reporting no one on the pool at all - including me (who had 2 miners running on it), and therefore a zero kh hash rate.
It must be some setting somewhere - I will check back myself onto the pool in the morning when I get up.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AnimeCoin [アニメコイン] ANI on: February 05, 2014, 12:19:34 AM
Ani-chan - I am on your pool, but while I am hashing away merrily, none seem to be being accepted - plus your pool isn't showing anyone being connected. Do you need to adjust some settings? Or maybe I do?

28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.5 Released! on: February 01, 2014, 08:23:18 PM
so doge is almost in the 82,000 block what is everyone's predictions? when doge hits the Block 100,001 where rewards are cut to half! we should be there in 3 days or so.

Are you sure about that?
((Approx 1 minute per block, x 60) x 24 hours) x 3 days = 4320 blocks.

It will be approximately 12 days until we reach that point.

I expect it will go up in price as the reward drops, but some miners will drop out - although if it goes up enough, then there is reason to carry on mining.

I keep getting disconnected from http://ani.minepool.cc. I am the only one? I would try the new pool but there's no one there.

Hey don't what to say mate, except join my pool! :-)

The weird thing about this AnimCoin is that there's only one pool and the hasrate is not spread at all... my experience with cryptocurrency tells me that this is not usual (and dangerous for the coin).

According to what i know, a pool should not rise more than 40% on the global net hashrate...

Anyway, if some of you guys are interested:

Matoy - why is it that your TEKcoin pool (an SHA-256 coin) tells people to use Scrypt?
Also why is it that every time I try to enter a correct wallet address for payouts it gets rejected?
Why is it that it says on your Animecoin pool that it also is Scrypt?
I have a feeling you are trying to scam people by getting them to mine some Scrypt coin (I expect Doge - as it's the most profitable) for YOU, and making it impossible to pay out.

Please put our minds to rest, asap.

thanks to MickeyT2008 i understand better now:
in fact you went to my tekcoin pool which is a pool for tekcoin (http://www.tekcoin.io/); A DIFFERENT TEKCOIN THAN THE ONE WANTED TO MINE. i didn't advertise this pool (tekcoin pool) on forums because it's a school project by people from the school i used to study ages ago).
that's why your payout cannot be made, it's not the same coin. and the coin the pool is for is a scrypt coin indeed.
i modified the news in the pool with the URL of the project to stop this misunderstanding.

Sorry for all of that, but you may understand now that i did not scam you, as you badly thought.

Thanks for clearing that up - I am glad it isn't a scam, though having the same name as the other TEKcoin was what got me confused (and would other people too)

4) say sorry to ani.minepools for calling m a scam! (been mining there since day 1 never any trouble)

I never did call ani.minepools a scam.... they are the pool I am currently using - and have done since I started - please learn to comprehend my posts before casting aspersions.

I do however have major issues with stratum not working correctly, today, although it may be down to something else - as only 1 of my 2 machines is having that issue.

31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AnimeCoin [アニメコイン] ANI on: January 31, 2014, 01:36:02 AM
Maybe I'm not getting the 'yay' message because the other pool is finding all the blocks.

At this point, I'm not sure of anything =/
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AnimeCoin [アニメコイン] ANI on: January 31, 2014, 01:27:00 AM
That's fine, I didn't seek payment for it, I just wanted an answer - and I don't mean anything bad in my posts - I was honestly confused.
I have been mining various coins for a long time (almost a year) and have never come across that happening before.

I will try the 'updated miner' from the front page - though unless it's been updated in the last 2 days, it will be the same version I have.

I would like to be on a stable pool, and I'd also like to see Animecoin do well. No animosity is sought, but it did seem a bit odd to me at the time.

EDIT: I checked - and the miner I have is the latest version. I will try again, and can provide screenshots if you wish
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AnimeCoin [アニメコイン] ANI on: January 31, 2014, 01:13:03 AM
I hope you aren't calling me a scam user because I am not - I am just confused.
I tried running on your pool, and it accepted none of my shares at all unless I changed 'anime' to 'scrypt' - but I just don't get why!!
Please help me to understand!
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AnimeCoin [アニメコイン] ANI on: January 31, 2014, 01:03:26 AM
Oddly enough, I just tried to mine on MegaPools Anime pool, using CPUmore miner, but it only accepted shares - showing;

"accepted: 1/1 (100.00%), 209.54 khash/s (yay!!!)"

in my Command Line, if I changed the word 'anime' in my batch file, to 'scrypt'. I did this, as I tried it normally, and it ran, but wasn't accepting any shares.

WTF is going on???

When I tried changing 'anime' to 'scrypt' with ani.minepool (where I know it works, because I am mining there now, and have been doing for 48 hours) - it rejected them all faster than I could read.

Are 2 out of 3 of the Animecoin pools scampools?

As much as I like ani.minepool - it NEEDS competition - plus in the last 16 hours or so, I have started getting 'stratum_recv_line failed' and 'stratum_subscribe timed out' showing up, and have consequently dropped hashing rates by about 50%

You can't mine it. Each person can only have one of them and you will receive at some random time in the future. Tongue

I have heard that a few people have managed to get hold of two of them, but it is very rare.

I might try mining it later by getting into a full bath, and dropping a hairdryer into it while it's plugged in.

I used to sell my coins (when I was desperate for cash) through Localbitcoins.com - but now I HODL!

"-Ripple is the future-Buy some XRP or DIE-"

I have been checking the altcoin markets, and although I can see XRP available, I can't find DIE.
Since I don't want a coin with the ability of having debt (this is why I dislike fiat currency so much - having lived in debt for so long), I am curious about this other coin. What is DIE, and is it Scrypt or SHA-256?
Where can I mine DIE?

39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.4 Released MANDATORY UPDATE on: January 25, 2014, 02:35:06 PM
I have an issue - I can't synchronize my wallet. it keeps coming up with;

EXCEPTION: DbException
Db::get: Not enough space

I have over 8Gb of space on the drive - why would it say that?
It only ever happened since I updated to V1.4

Much halp plz!

Maybe you don't have this wallet installed. Last version, probably helps.

https://github.com/dogecoin/dogecoin/releases/

I will update again when it finalizes it's synchronizing.

Now it's working, I'll let it finish first, before playing again - but cheers.

delete your all .dat files and restart

Tried that - and it seemed to work, but I had lost my encryption, my wallet address, my history etc.

Luckily, i didn't delete, but moved...

After putting back my peers.dat and wallet.dat files, it works fine now.

Cheers.

I guess you meant "delete blk0001.dat and blkindex.dat ONLY" Tongue
