161  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [8500 GH/s] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + UserDiff; ASIC tested on: May 26, 2013, 07:53:37 PM
Thanks PrintMule - that's a more civilised answer, and what I was getting at.

If it averages out at roughly what someone should get, then I see no problems in them keeping quiet, but it saddens me when some people complain over and over about a tiny fraction of a Bitcoin down, and threatening to leave the pool - as if Slush hasn't got enough on his plate, with the errors being thrown up by the system, and geneeral system management.

Also, Visdude - I wasn't targeting any one person, just generalising, f.y.i.

On the whole, I don't complain about being short, because I know it will normally be corrected, whether it's Slush doing it or the system automatically error correcting, I have no idea.

Hit a nerve did I?

I have pointed out an error once or twice myself, but when my score is lower, I comment and move on, which is more than some people on here have done in the past.

I'm no saint, tbh, but I have perspective.

It's obvious that Slush won't give rewards for brown-nosing, and I'm not asking for any - but it appears my little test of human nature was a success Tongue

Is it me, or is someone's bot getting over excited about 0.01btc?
164  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [8500 GH/s] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + UserDiff; ASIC tested on: May 26, 2013, 05:05:00 PM
I wonder how many of people on here who complain bitterly about under-scoring, keep quiet whenever it pays out over the odds on a block?

Human nature and all that....

Same, about double BTC, not complaining though!

I can't believe people have bullied ChartBuddy into doing silent protest posts Sad

I have 3.2 and 2 avalon usb's (europe order) on the way. (I wont mention my BFL order for fear of turning slush's thread into a slanging match) Smiley

LOL I have 10 of the USB's coming from A+C also.... so I guess when they get here I will be closer to 4GH/S

Nice. No slanging from me though - I have 32GH/s of BFL on order, to compliment my 1GH/s now, and if the bank smiles on me, 700GH/s of KnCMiner to be ordered.
I will know in a couple of weeks if I will get to join the big boys or not.

Hashrate on Stratum interface (30 min average):   10445.839 Ghash/s (98%)
Approx. cluster performance (30 min average):   10596.366 Ghash/s

Is it me, or has the pool grown by about 700 GH/s in this last day. It was below 9800Gh/s 24 hrs ago.

That is odd - one of my 2 workers isn't getting shares showing either. Hmm...

worker1    my password    0    292    18878.7756    16 minutes    226.746    yes    1    Edit |
worker2    is secret, ok?   0    908    7028947.4441    0 minutes    705.086    yes    1    Edit |

Luckily it's my 7850, not my 7970.

luck went down because of the long time to crack a couple of blocks today. over 11 hours for 2 of them. More than counterbalancing the rapid ones we found.

About bloody time!! Phew, what a hard block to crack!
172  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: 7970 hashrate issues on: May 25, 2013, 12:00:08 AM
No, not X-fired at all. I am using the 7850 for all my monitors too, as the 7970 seems to really drop hash rate when running monitors on it at the same time.
I'd advise you to seperate the cards if you can (if your mobo has space) as having them together REALLY ramped up the heat issues, on my machine.

Plus - if you have Sapphire cards with Dual X coolers, they are deeper than dual slot, I discovered.

Ahh, thanks for that - I was hoping for me to appear one day too!

So many blocks discovered in Germany - I guess someone there has an ASIC already - or phenomenal luck!

I am 99.9% sure the removed one (the ship rises when the water rises) was also Chinese. Japanese would probably have had '上昇' for rise, whereas it had a single Kanji.
Saying that, water in Chinese and Japanese is still 水 so you can't tell from that.
176  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: May 23, 2013, 01:48:41 AM
it's moving, it's moving!!

I like Japanese culture  Wink (I'm about your proverb about water moving)

(i am going to bed, 3:00 am here)

cheers!,

Shame that's Chinese and not Japanese Tongue

How did you get your 7850 core to 1175MHz? MSi Afterburner will only allow mine up to 1050MHz. It's totally stable 24/7 at this speed, and only 68c in temperature, with the fan at 74%.

I'd love to push it higher though, somehow.

Daily pool luck up to 102% at the moment \o/
179  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: 7970 hashrate issues on: May 23, 2013, 12:02:54 AM
Thanks for the information.

I am using my 1st (16x) slot, and my 3rd (8x) slot - to combat heat issues that occur if I use slot 1 & 2.

I am happy with my speed I am getting now, at just under 1GH/s over all.

180  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [8500 GH/s] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + UserDiff; ASIC tested on: May 22, 2013, 03:12:17 AM
if the block is still going through the 100 confirmations, the volume you receive (should) correct its self. Mine said none, at first, then after a couple of confirmations, reset its self to 0.003BTC

Give it time. If it fails to come back at the end of the confirmations, post again about it, and Slush will probably look into it.
