I am here to ask the community and get feedback on what to do with this Casacius Coin when it comes back to Earth?

One thing I've always kind of wondered is where did all the OG collectors go?  We have very few members whom are still active here that were around during the early days of collectibles.  Those who bought Casascius coins and BitBills when they were first released are the type of collectors I'm referring to.  I don't see myself ever losing interest in collectibles completely and just riding off in to the sunset.  I may not be as active as I now am at some point, but I just don't see myself completely being done w/this board and collectibles in general.  Members like Blazed for example.  I dunno, it just seems kind of odd to me that there are probably less than a handful of collectors who were around during the Casascius days who are still active.

I'm fairly sure that's our guy. I was going to post it in here but it has names and addresses in it so needs to be Investigations. You should probably shoot him a message on his facebook accounts and see if he's willing to come clean or at least explain some of his behaviour. Doubt he will but it's worth a shot if you're still looking for that other coin   (but I'm almost certain it doesn't exist and it was just some elaborate scam he was pulling).

Hi, just to be clear I'm bullish as hell for the next few months but I think it's generally accepted that this bull run will probably come to an end at some point this year.

I'm wondering if people here are planning on getting out of crypto or significantly reducing your stake at some point this year and if so what your plan is and where you are looking at reinvesting your funds?

Now I'm just wondering how accurate this site is for keeping accurate counts of each item and has anyone tested it to see if say when a coin of any year and version of these Casascius coins gets peeled that the numbers are reflected in the status section of the site? Here would be an example of some of the more rare versions but I'm curious to know if these numbers listed are accurate for all series and years etc...

If say 2 5BTC coins (a S1 and a S2 were peeled) and three 10BTC coins and lets say two 25BTC coins (a S1 and a S2 were peeled) would it be reflected properly in this section of the tracker? The first 11,000 belong to series 1 coins with inkjetted holograms with the "CASACIUS" error.
The next 1,000 addresses belong to series 2 coins with windowed holograms.
The next 17,000 addresses also belong to series 2 coins, but also start with a prefix that
suggests how the address might be used.
  1C is used in 1BTC, 5BTC coins. Many were also given away with "roll-your-own" coins.
  1G is used in gold-plated items including bars and 25BTC coins.
  1Au is used for fine gold coins.
  1Ag is used for fine silver coins.
The next 9,900 addresses (prefix 12) are for 2013 0.5 BTC coins.
  The third character is one of these 33 characters: 123456789ABCDEFGHJKLMNPQRSTUVWXYZ.

Anyone have any ideas? Also has anyone monitored the Casascius Tracking site to see if coins when redeemed get updated to reflect that many less available once some are peeled?
Another way of putting it is can we be sure this site is very accurate and as upto date as possible? Would love to know just for the community's sake as this is a great tool but I want to confirm it's accurate etc,....

So these are 2011 coins, but not error coins, so Series II, is that correct? ( Ie Casascius is spelt Casascius and not Casacius on the hologram)

I checked the site, and it doesn't offer a Letter of Guarantee. That should be reason enough not to use them. I know only one mixer that has a good reason not to give a LoG (because they give you private keys), any other mixer should provide one.
Unlike a signed message, screenshots can never be conclusive evidence.

I've seen this scam before, and because of the lack of LoG, they can create a smoke screen about phishing. If they'd be honest, they could have prevented any fake scam accusations by providing for a LoG. But they didn't.

They copied the 4 step design from ChipMixer.

It should probably be the last time you use them or else you will be the next victim. You were lucky because you mixed small amounts of BTC.

OP I insist you report the domain for fraud giving details of how you were scammed. Smartmixer.io pulled off the same scam tactic, the domain was reported and it was taken down

Sad to see this OP, I hope the 2.6BTC wasn’t a lot of your stash. There's nothing you can do except help to try & ruin their reputation so they can’t keep doing it to other people.

Can you start a flag against them?

I tried using this website for small amount of transactions and I didn't encounter issues or any problem.

But I guess when it comes to big transactions like this there are so many problems that you encounter, Maybe because of its a good opportunity to scam since its a big amount. I'm not going to use this mixer again.
