Congratulation MoparMiningLLC. What a nice little gem: the 13 names on that note all remind me of a different epoch in this forum - a time where we where shipping cas coins to each other left and right. I am not sure the 13 members have recovered from their hang overs from that night yet  Cheesy I have heard some of the tails...

Cheers buddy

thanks! yes I wish I had been there but I didnt know anyone from here back then. I am very surprised to see one of these notes surface as well - I am not sure whose note it originally was but I have it narrowed down to a couple. As all that I have spoken to that were there still have theirs.

on that note - I received both notes! Smiley added to my collection - I think I am just over 80 unique polymerbit notes now.

Beautiful <3
Try place them under UV light - I am sure Polymerbit have a few hidden surprises there for you  Wink
8  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do not use more than 2x leverage on: January 19, 2024, 10:08:38 PM

Once you have calculated those two parameters, then can you evaluate if your leverage is too high.
I'm not sure how to calculate to know if your leverage is high, too high, too low, or just right enough. I guess this is pretty subjective for one to know.

Its not subjective at all.

Your leverage is too high if you do not have enough margin to cover your risk, plus a head room to account for the liquidation mechanism, which trigger before your margin is at zero.
That,s it. There is no such thing as too low leverage or "just right".

Leverage is one of the most misunderstood concepts in trading. I could explain in more details about how you do prober risk management, I just feel no one here would really care, it is obvious that this thread is more about making post in signature campaigns that actually having a discussion about trading.

10  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can I become a professional trader? on: January 17, 2024, 02:44:00 PM
  • Technical analysis
  • Fundamental analysis
  • Candle Analysis

If I can master the above I think I can be a successful trader.

This is not as important as one think it is. You can get surprisingly far with very little analysis.
Understanding risk mangement and mastering the psycological aspects of trading is much more important.

Is there anyone here who is a professional trader, I want to help him that apart from the above mentioned things, what should I know as a professional trader, do you know of any platform or site from where I can take professional trader training ?

I am professional: You are on the right track here. You need to study and learn for the next few years before you can even start making profits consistently. Mentorships and trading groups are great, people will stand in line to take your money. There are very few people that is real in this business. My best advice to you is take it slow, start studying, read the basic books take the "20 trade challenge" on demo account, once you learned the basics, then start thinking about mentors and groups. You are not going to like what I say now: you need to be very patience, it will take many years for you to be successful and there is a lot of studies in front of you. You can make it, but you need to have a regular income to support your trading endeavors. You have to think 10 years ahead, if you can last 10 years without going broke from trading, then have you made it.
11  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your advised for being a trader? on: January 17, 2024, 02:08:35 PM
Trading is kind of risky thing where you can generate money and you also can lost the whole fund within few seconds. So it isn't recommend to trade if you don't know anything. But I don't support the idea "Doing trades with small fund and keep learning". Cause thus i made loss continuesly. i know a traders need to know technical, fandmental analysis, need to check news and many more. So What things do you follow and advice before open a trade?

The first thing you have to realize is that trading is not easy money, in fact, the opposite.
Trading is one of the most hard ways to make money (alt least in the first 2-3 years).
Trading is also one of the few businesses where you can work very hard every day all day for a month and end up loosing money, in any kind of payroll job would that never happen.

When that is said. Surprisingly is technical and fundamental analysis not that important (forget about the news). You can get quite far with a few very simple concepts.
Focus on RISK MANEGMENT and the psychological aspects.

Before even thinking about using real capital read Trading in the zone by Mark Douglas - and take it from there.

Did I mention risk mangement? Risk mangement.
I think its worth to mention it one more time: Risk mangement.
12  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do not use more than 2x leverage on: January 17, 2024, 02:00:11 PM
Leverage is one of the most misunderstood concepts within trading.

Leverage is not important, risk management is important.

It makes no sense to talk about leverage in a context where trade-risk in relation to your account size and position-size is not mentioned.
Once you have calculated those two parameters, then can you evaluate if your leverage is too high.

Leverage is just a tool, nothing more.

14  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Bitcoin Penny Company Issues- Undelivered work/Money owed/Lack of updates on: January 07, 2024, 11:08:35 AM
It pains me to read this thread. I have always loved the doodles from BitcoinPenny.
I even had one custom made for a present to my girlfriend once.

I have no other choice than ~BitcoinPenny on my trust list.
15  Other / Meta / Re: Mixers to be banned on: December 18, 2023, 08:09:23 PM
I support this decision. The majority of the mixers are shady as hell.
I was only scammed once in my entire crypto career and that was a crypto mixer whcih launched the scam from this site.
(I was 100% responsible for sending coins to a mixer, I know, I know, however there was some private factors involved which I dont want to go into here).

But the setup was pretty clever, they had a campain, signatures, giving out free btc for "testers".
When you ran a small amount through all was fine, when you got over a certain size (a few BTC), then would the mixer scam you. Ouch

Lets get them out of here!
16  Economy / Collectibles / Re: First Bitcoin in Space (Casacius Coin) - What to do with it after it comes back? on: August 14, 2022, 07:25:20 AM
I am here to ask the community and get feedback on what to do with this Casacius Coin when it comes back to Earth?

Great project; space, unpeeled cas, athentification by Eliante, what not to like??
Try to get get some kind of media attention to the project, I feel it deserve more than just a thread on a bitcointalk sub section.

Cheers and good luck
17  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Where did all the OG collectors go? on: September 21, 2021, 11:30:04 AM
One thing I've always kind of wondered is where did all the OG collectors go?  We have very few members whom are still active here that were around during the early days of collectibles.  Those who bought Casascius coins and BitBills when they were first released are the type of collectors I'm referring to.  I don't see myself ever losing interest in collectibles completely and just riding off in to the sunset.  I may not be as active as I now am at some point, but I just don't see myself completely being done w/this board and collectibles in general.  Members like Blazed for example.  I dunno, it just seems kind of odd to me that there are probably less than a handful of collectors who were around during the Casascius days who are still active.

I am still lurking in the dark corners of bitcointalk once in a while. I am mostly on closed groups on discord now.
I still have a love for Casascius coins, however trading them is not worth if for me because of the obvious difficulties with shipping.

Cheers ChiBitCTy, see you around, Feel free to PM me if you want to be nostalgic and talk about the good old days.

20  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WoodCollector]Nine Public Coin Collection Completed on: March 29, 2021, 02:54:25 PM
There's an update to the woodcollector saga here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5321663.msg56490105#msg56490105

I'm fairly sure that's our guy. I was going to post it in here but it has names and addresses in it so needs to be Investigations. You should probably shoot him a message on his facebook accounts and see if he's willing to come clean or at least explain some of his behaviour. Doubt he will but it's worth a shot if you're still looking for that other coin  Grin (but I'm almost certain it doesn't exist and it was just some elaborate scam he was pulling).

That is some impressive detective work, maybe you should start working as a private detective  Shocked
There might be a end to this saga after all, I would not in my wildest imagination have thought that he would be found one day.
Some still believe the treasure is real...
