161  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you determine which cryptos to buy during this dip? on: September 21, 2021, 11:09:22 AM
For short-term profit, I think that it's a good option for us to buy cryptocurrencies that have the potential to go up when it dips and if I can buy more than one or two of those crypto, I might buy them and hodl for the long-term, you probably need to have a lot of money to buy those dips though, you don't want to skimp out.
162  Economy / Economics / Re: Our Dear Bitcoin and its price movement. on: September 21, 2021, 09:49:55 AM
Yes, it's a good time to buy.

And what you've said is likely to happen and you only have to wait after buying and it will eventually recover. If you still haven't bought it, think of it and if the price is already good for you to buy.

The others are panic selling, then you have to be calm and do the buying.
Totally agree, right now buying bitcoin and other altcoins that are on the red is the golden opportunity that many people are looking for, and I don't think that it's not in your best interest if you don't buy right now because this won't come often and you don't want to miss out on profits.
163  Economy / Economics / Re: [LIST] Countries that own bitcoin on: September 21, 2021, 09:05:44 AM
I think Cbina and USA has their share of bitcoin if my memory serves me right. They did bought a huge amount back then although I can't remember how many it is. El Salvador is doing a good job buying more bitcoin now that the prices are dipping, they will definitely benefit more when the prices starts pumping up again.
164  Economy / Economics / Re: New regulation in South Korea has forced several exchanges to close on: September 21, 2021, 08:32:18 AM
I read and reread this article and I confess that I cannot understand why the Korean regulator requires exchanges to have partnerships with banks and at the same time empowers banks to reject or not partner with exchanges, we all know that the owners of banks are people from the political parties that most of the time govern the country and if the government is not liking cryptocurrencies, the banks will also not like cryptocurrencies because the banks follow what the government says or opines. i think this south korean behavior is typical behavior of someone who doesn't want cryptocurrencies in their country
That's exactly the reason for that, the banks have political friends and they want to protect their interest as much as they can even if they have to pay or bribe these politician friends. It's not yet the end for the crypto scene in South Korea though, they will still find ways to make things in their favor despite being against the odds with the government itself.
165  Economy / Economics / Re: Future economic fear of the rich and poor. on: September 21, 2021, 06:43:42 AM
I don't know how the rich fears but I can feel exactly the fear of poor person since I came from one and slowly going up but I can feel that looming fear that the next day is the day that I won't survive the ordeal but we are in a capitalist society and you need to be smart and know how to make your money work for you.
166  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Basic Bitcoin skills on: September 20, 2021, 05:19:36 PM
As you said, you are in need of some basic skills to hold a large amount of bitcoin long-term. There's really a lot we need to learn in this market. The most basic thing I want to tell you is to learn more about the benefits and risks that bitcoin can bring to you. You must master the psychology of entering the market, emotions determine 90% of the crypto market. And to be safe when holding bitcoins, you should find yourself a hardware wallet to store bitcoins.
No a lot of skills, just a basic understanding of crypto, willingness to learn new things, and tons of patience is enough for qualifying to hodl bitcoin in long-term, I mean I am a hodler and I don't really have that big technical skill in crypto but I have been hodling for almost a year now so there's really no qualifications besides the attitude of that person.
167  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Today I helped 2 non-crypto people invest in bitcoin on: September 20, 2021, 04:39:51 PM
Hopefully you've also told them about the risk that bitcoin poses because it's essential that they learn the risk of investing in bitcoin, not to mention that they've invested a pretty large amount of money so it's going to be hard for them if they are going to be surprised by the volatility.
168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Legalization. In Ukraine and now Laos on: September 20, 2021, 03:32:22 PM
I want to see what factors make laos implement bitcoin legalization?  if only based on the cost of cheap electricity it seems that is not enough for the main reason.  I want to make sure that the government is really serious about legalizing the bitcoin market so that in the future it can be a motivation for other countries, especially the Southeast Asian market.
Totally agree but cheap electricity is useful for bitcoin to flourish as it will make miners earn more in that country. Another reason is probably just advancements in technology and keeping up with it's neighboring countries.
169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Economists say each BTC transaction causes 272g of waste on: September 20, 2021, 02:54:29 PM
Actually if we compare it with paper money then it still better. Paper money cause polution more than we think. Every destructed paper money will be replaced by new one which means more and more waste. Maintaining paper money also need cost such as administration cost, security cost, delivery cost and etc. I think bitcoin transactions is still the best in this century.
Well, they won't tell you that because if they do, their agenda won't be successful which is to make cryptocurrency look bad, remember that they want it to be that way, that's why you don't see how much the waste that paper money produce when they talk about the waste that cryptocurrency produces.
170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to use private keys post societal collapse on: September 20, 2021, 02:16:02 PM
You're hypothetical isn't even realistic, a bitcoin friendly zone won't exist because the first few years in a collapse is the worst year because it's the panic times and a societal collapse means infrastructure are untended and destroyed so it's unlikely a bitcoin friendly zone will exist.
171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: protection mechanics for preventing faking bitcoin on: September 20, 2021, 01:21:19 PM
They already have a measure, there's a reason why we see different iterations of bitcoin, it's because they tried to fake bitcoin or duplicate but they ultimately failed.
172  Other / Off-topic / Re: Passive Income Sources on: September 20, 2021, 10:44:37 AM
Here's a good one although you're going to need a lot of money to make some decent passive cashflow, what I'm talking about is Index funds, they're like stocks that you don't have to manage yourself but performs much better than an actively managed funds. It's not crypto but it's a pretty good one if you want to increase your passive income stream.
173  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc $100k prediction by eoy on: September 20, 2021, 09:54:11 AM
~

Well, usually pumps are expected after the news that triggers the price to pump, what will always come unexpected is the price range of how much Bitcoin would pump during massive buy outs.
3 months is considered a long period of time speculate on Bitcoin's price. Bitcoin has more than 60% gain history in a span of 2-3 months. So, I guess it's still safe to say $100k is achievable by the end of the year. Though there are still a lot factors that could make it less possible.

Well, most of the pumps happen in December and sometimes they don't really need some big news to get so big, it doesn't matter if there are factors that might not make it possible, I still believe that bitcoin is an appreciating asset and that there's no way that a 100k won't happen, maybe not this year but it will eventually happen.
174  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bearish Bitcoin TA - Be careful everyone ... on: September 20, 2021, 09:05:20 AM
There's a pattern that I see but I don't think it's really that scary of a drop if it ever repeats the pattern again, either way, a hodler won't worry too much because a dump will always be followed by a bounce back.
175  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc $100k prediction by eoy on: September 20, 2021, 06:42:22 AM
Highly doubt it.

The run up from the start of the year has been absolutely crazy and I think that we are due for a correction as a matter of time.

Institutional interest is high, yes, but even that isn't going to go on forever especially when the interest rates around the world start hiking near the end of the year as most countries exit lockdowns.
There's still a lot of time, there's still about 3 months or so for the pump towards 100k to happen, remember that most pumps in bitcoin happened when we least expect it like around 1 month, December sees most of this surges so I don't think that there's no time for the pump and no sense doubting it.
176  Economy / Speculation / Re: The arrival of new people in the world of cryptocurrency is really fun on: September 19, 2021, 07:35:08 AM
It's fun but at the same time it's bad because when there's more people and mind you those that have no background in investing gets in, when they experience their first dump or dip, they will guarantee to panic and with a lot of those people, the market could tank really fast.
177  Economy / Economics / Re: Real estate vs. Bitcoin on: September 19, 2021, 06:37:40 AM
Before choosing to invest, I would choose real estate, but now my choice is Bitcoin.
In recent years, the pace of development of the real estate industry has slowed slowly.
There are still many differences between the two. There are also many fields involved in real estate.
With the development of Bitcoin, Bitcoin may be used to buy houses in the future, and the two promote each other's development.
Real estate is still a good investment, you just have to know which one you should get before anything else because it's going to be really expensive and you might not even be able to get a return of investment. Bitcoin is a good one but you should know that it's always a good idea to diversify your investments so you can insure a consistent cash flow.
178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Collection Thread] Series and films in which Bitcoin (or Altcoins) appear on: September 18, 2021, 06:01:40 PM
Of all the TV series listed, I didn't expect Supernatural to be one of them to mention bitcoin or cryptocurrency. In the movies, the Deadpool one is hard to find since it's probably not that shown explicitly but as just some sort of easter egg. This is a nice list, although I can't add any since it's been so long since I've watched a movie.
179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Should be in Syllabus of Students? on: September 18, 2021, 04:57:02 PM
I don't know about this, I am kind of split in two in regards to this idea, on one hand, I want more people to know what is bitcoin and the basics of it and at the same time, have some of them get their interests piqued and on another hand, I feel like it's only a waste of time because bitcoin, cryptocurrency and blockchain are such a specific subject that it's not a good one to be taught in a class.
180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many BTC users actually care about privacy? on: September 18, 2021, 04:11:02 PM
Probably the first people that have stumbled upon bitcoin in the first place, the rest are either here for the profit or have learned to value privacy along the way. Not to worry, they will all care when their interests are being threatened.
