181  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Statue in Hungary on: September 18, 2021, 03:04:43 PM
~
Ok. It's also a good idea, everyone is Satoshi. But I still feel that Satoshi in the statue is a man.
We cannot know Satoshi's gender. Given his anonymity, the statue should be a Unisex statue.
Satoshi's personal page does not indicate gender
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3
But the way that Satoshi delivers the messages and how he chose the name Satoshi which is a masculine Japanese name, I mean does he or she really have to go to such length to throw away the scent? Plus it's a hooded statue so it's pretty much a unisex since any gender can wear a hoodie.
182  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next stop $85K for Bitcoin on: September 18, 2021, 01:49:10 PM
we have to have our own stand, we don't easily believe every post, because not all posts circulating are accurate, sometimes they just want to seek sensation, I am aware of the risks in bitcoin, but I am ready for any risks that occur, even though some say the price will fall to zero, but I stay on my stance..
Well, OP's just sharing his/her own forecast in prices, you don't actually believe that because that's the stupidest thing that you can do, of course it's common sense that you shouldn't believe what you see in the Internet, people don't need to be reminded, it helps filter out people that's going to be successful in crypto.
183  Economy / Economics / Re: Boost of a countries economy on: September 18, 2021, 12:03:43 PM
Crypto has nothing to do with a country economy which is the reason why the Chinese government decided to attract bitcoin seller and miner away because the citizens had started patronizing Bitcoin rather than there own current which can affect the current to fall if there is excess in the market making it surplus. Bitcoin has no affiliate with any currencies but stand for quick mean of running transactions.
Yes it has something to do, anything that has financial in their name is going to affect a countries economy and bitcoin is a financial tool so I don't think that it wouldn't affect the economy of a country, I mean the people who use bitcoin are still buying stuff in their country and those stuff are taxed so it does have some effect to the economy of a country.
184  Economy / Economics / Re: Tulip Mania 2.0 on: September 18, 2021, 10:26:58 AM
Yeah I think it is funny when I hear people saying things like this.  More often than not those who are saying things like this have absolutely no clue what they are talking about and couldn't even tell you what the blockchain is.  I don't pay much attention to people like this because in all reality there is very little chance they will ever change their mind because bitcoin goes past their level of knowledge, what they are willing to learn and their social and economical beliefs.
More than not having any clue what they're talking about, they're probably ignorant and bitter about crypto too because you wouldn't talk shit when you have a stake or interest in something. Or much worse, these types of people are just plain envious of the people that have crypto and making a lot of money from it.
185  Economy / Economics / Re: MassMutual Fined in GameStop Fallout on: September 18, 2021, 09:28:59 AM
There is saying, "the one who gets caught while sniffing, is the real thief". The same thing applies here, now that Gill is caught manipulating the market his the one wrongdoing. There are even great examples who are live ones like Elon Musk, whose manipulating the market all the time.
I feel like Gill was part of the plan of Mass Mutual, they needed a fall guy and so they chose Gill to be that person, the company won't be hit too much by this fall out but Gill is going to have his life collapse right in his face.
186  Economy / Economics / Re: MicroStrategy Buys $250M in Bitcoin, Calling the Crypto ‘Superior to Cash’ on: September 18, 2021, 08:32:57 AM
Microstrategy CEO Michael Saylor in a dialogue with Emily Chang on bloomberg TV about the latest purchase of bitcoin for $250 million, the recognition of bitcoin as a means of payment in El Salvador and how the Solana and OpenSea scandals strengthen the SEC's movement towards regulation.
I'm a bit wary about the OpenSea insider trading fiasco, I have about 3 or so NFTs in there and I hope that it won't affect the whole website at all because there's definitely going to be a lot of problem in this one and I do hope that we will see some solution to that issue that OpenSea has.
187  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto is not limited till buying Bitcoins, it is beyond this. on: September 18, 2021, 07:36:23 AM
Yeah owning crypto is not limited to buying btc only, before now faucet use to be a popular place where people can earn some sat by claiming it but it's no longer effective nowadays,
Liquidity pools, staking and farming are more popular with good returns but also very risky too, they provide more option to earn rather than trading only, in this case, your investment works for you.
I remember that time, faucets that pump out bitcoins that is considered big at present, I don't know what happened to those, why they stopped being profitable? Did the price affected those faucets? Staking in my opinion is the best one in all those 3, I think that hodling your coins while at the same time being able to make some profit is a win-win situation.
188  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How does the scammer companies earn through bitcoin ? on: September 17, 2021, 06:21:11 PM
There is no shortcut to get money except by scamming. Believing in attractive and easy-to-work offers is an attempt to attract and deceive investors. So my advice before acting is to study and ask seniors or forum who have experience especially companies that offer bitcoin easily.
This is how some of the scams that I have encountered worked, they blind you with riches and make you think that you're doing something when really you're not. Just look at what they did in OneCoin and Bitconnect, they used bitcoin as a reference and tell everyone that they're the next big thing, they capitalize on the fame that bitcoin achieved.
189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The risks of using Bitcoin on: September 17, 2021, 05:30:49 PM
You’re right but even with these regulations , investors can still make good profits from it.
Good and smart investors to be exact, remember that not every investor understands this risk and so they end up not profiting from their investment and instead lose even more money in the first place.
190  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Statue in Hungary on: September 17, 2021, 04:09:30 PM
Ideally, the statue should have a mirror without eyes, nose and mouth or a mirror as per MK4's concept.
Satoshi is anonymous and desires a completely decentralized system. It is better to make 10 statues or 100 Satoshi statues in the premises where the statue is located.
Yeah dude, everyone has already said that already, I mean in the movie Batman, he isn't made of mirror but they still built a statue for him but he still got his statue and the meaning behind the anonymity is that everyone can be Batman, I think it's the same for this one, they molded it into a person that can look like a generic mannequin, meaning that it still delivers the same message, that anyone can be Satoshi.
191  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Do Young Investors Prefer Cryptocurrencies? on: September 17, 2021, 02:35:16 PM
Cryptocurrencies are a type of high-risk investment so they are only suitable for young people, when they lose, they are not too problematic because they are still productive, this is different from older people who choose security because they are no longer productive.
That's not true at all, I mean adults can get in here too, I think that the risk is a general thing for every type of investment, I think that the reason for the young people getting into this kind of stuff is because they are much more adventurous and are more inclined to technologies.
192  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why do you watch crypto chart pattern on: September 17, 2021, 01:44:28 PM
To see if the movement can be compared to the movement from the past and to see if there's a consistent similarity between the two or if not similarities, probably the differences. I think that's the only reason for me to watch the crypto patterns.
193  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Bull market is back on: September 17, 2021, 01:12:27 PM
Good thing that it's finally back, and it's a good thing that I have bought when it was around 28k and I was happy that bitcoin is going up because I am already guaranteed a profit but I don't have any plans selling right now because I am sure that we haven't reached the peak yet.
Good for to be able to make some decent profit although I don't really like the idea of not taking profit right now even just a little to enjoy some of your profits but hey, to each and everyone I guess.
194  Economy / Economics / Re: Now UK is facing inflation so choose the best for you.. on: September 17, 2021, 10:05:00 AM
~
One problem associating inflation across the world is that the low income earners and people on the street suffer but the rich gets better because they can have access to other amenities. Here the government want to come in the way of giving out loans but such loans don't get to the grass root but the rich get to grab it as they are influential and in government.
Exactly my point, people that think this way are so out of touch with the fact that not everyone is like them and that everyone can do what they're doing. The problem with the lack of empathy and being out of touch of some privileged people are really appalling, if the poor can invest then we wouldn't have any poor people in this sorry of an excuse of a world.
195  Economy / Economics / Re: Chinese construction Mega-Bankruptcy. Evergrande about to crash for 355B on: September 17, 2021, 08:56:04 AM
This won't just affect the Chinese and Asian region but also the African regions since they might have some contracts in that place since China wants to expand it's influence in that region too. That's a lot of losses but I think that China will brush it off like a dust since they still have other companies out there.
Didn't know that they're already in Africa, what are they doing down there? That's a pretty far continent and I gotta say that I am slightly impressed that they dare touch the continent because it has an untapped potential but you're right that this losses might not hurt them too much.
196  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation soaring in US and other countries gives good prospect to bitcoin on: September 17, 2021, 06:52:36 AM
If you don't have any crypto though, and a substantial or considerable amount in that case, you're fucked because if inflation goes up and you still have fiat, you're money will have lesser purchasing power and remember that they're still fighting over increase in wages there and so far the pro increase wages is losing their foothold.
197  Economy / Economics / Re: How to Influence the Bitcoin Market on: September 17, 2021, 05:16:22 AM
I think the only one that works is the number 4, you need to have a lot of money, influence and connections to be able to move the market according to your will. I think it's the biggest way that you can influence the market, anything other than that is just an afterthought.
198  Economy / Speculation / Re: Microsteel keeps buying into BTC on: September 16, 2021, 05:38:03 PM
I think that it is a completely rational strategy.

They can diversify a lot of the risk away from their position just buy dollar cost averaging, which is why they are accumulating so much.

I do think that their bet is going to pay off big time over the long run - they're holding these coins for who knows how long, and are effectively reducing the supply of coins as well.
Not just diversification but also prospects, I mean look at how them profiting from those bitcoins that they've bought back when bitcoin was still not this big, they were making profit at that time too so why wouldn't they get this opportunity?
199  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Heading to $70,000 on: September 16, 2021, 04:59:33 PM
~
trading futures under these circumstances, of course it would be very risky to lose money in the market, I personally prefer spot trading for now and spread my portfolio on several cryptos with different price orders now, I think now the market situation is quite deteriorating and Of course, we have to be patient and calm in making every decision in trading, so it's better for us to take a break and hope the market will get better soon Grin.

No matter what time or situation it is, trading futures will always be risky because that can wipe out all the money that you have, remember the story of the dude who offed himself because he lost everything that he has because of futures, that's how risky and mental this trading is, it can get on your nerves.
200  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin in 2022? on: September 16, 2021, 03:35:56 PM
No one is an expert when it comes to Bitcoin market price prediction because the market is full of surprises but from what I read and hear from people who understand the Bitcoin halving effect market, 2022 is the year of market blood bath and the price of the Bitcoin market should be below $40,000 price range.
That's a scary prospect though, they're putting fear into these people that the year of 2022 will be a bad year for bitcoin but I don't think that we will ever see a really bad day for bitcoin. Better to be ready when it happens though, we have no way of knowing to be exact so we better hope that it's not what they expect the year will become.
