301  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin mining is not profitable enough! on: September 04, 2021, 12:28:20 PM
If you can repurpose the heat that comes out of the mining rigs, probably you will be able to make some way to save your money and have a profitable mining. Or maybe you can make a way to have a free electricity, you can try installing a solsr panel that's exclusive for home use if you're on a budget or you can do the reverse and invest in solar power for your mining.
302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin go high the poor will not participate on: September 04, 2021, 11:35:32 AM
Well, that's not entirely true, bitcoin can be subdivided into smaller units if the need to do it comes. Also, if they can't participate right now, there's always some alternatives that they can use to be able to grow their wealth gradually and then move to bitcoin and then grow it more exponentially if they're to be patient for it to go up again.
303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I like to learn and use bitcoin on: September 04, 2021, 09:39:49 AM
Technology continues to innovate. We must learn to accept new things.
If only a lot more people are like you, always embracing new technology but this also comes with a price though, not being careful might end up with us being taken over by the machines, now what I mean by that is that we got so dependent that we don't have any way to live without them.
304  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is only new to the newbie on: September 04, 2021, 08:41:28 AM
That person you're talking to is kind of an ignorant, I mean if they can't see past the negativity that has been spouted over by a lot of people against bitcoin then they don't deserve the benefits and merits of having bitcoin and the profit it could bring as an investment.
305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google bans 8 crypto apps on: September 04, 2021, 07:00:36 AM
We really hope that dangerous applications that can cause negative things for bitcoin must be immediately blocked by Google, because the way to find enthusiasts to enter the crypto world must be explained more to the bitcoin process and its performance so that there is no more fraud in an investment.
Report them if you see them, that's the only way we can help Google find the scam applications that are taking over their platform and stealing money from a lot of people, and the desperate ones.
306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto P2P Scam on: September 04, 2021, 06:09:27 AM
For this reason, we should not easily trust anyone because people we do not know can deceive us in the transaction process, because people we do not know, we cannot find evidence for such a process or people who have deceived us all this time, because they do not with evidence it is very difficult to get our bitcoins back
Don't trust anyone especially online, they can remotely hurt you without suffering any consequences. That's my general rule of thumb, and so far it's working great for me and I haven't been scammed yet and I like to keep it that way. There's some ways you can get the bitcoins back but it's going to be difficult though.
307  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Give me some investment advice on: September 03, 2021, 10:45:31 AM
Here's my advice, keep the highest percentage of your money in Bitcoin and you can hold it for a long time (long term investment) second you can buy Ethereum maybe around 30 percent and the rest you can use it for short term investment or day trading in that way you would be exposed to trading daily and you will understand how the market works.
Better yet, try to stick with bitcoin for awhile and then at the same time slowly diversify through the use of your bitcoin profits that you've got when you've been in it for a long time now. For me, diversify is a mid game thing you do, not an early game.
308  Economy / Reputation / Re: [indralit] promoting Betking on: September 03, 2021, 09:46:36 AM
They should be tagged, they're responsible for marketing and advertising the site so it can scam more people. It should be done like what was done to 1xbit signature campaign participants as they're practically the same.
309  Other / Off-topic / Re: will we witness a blockchain based election in our life time? on: September 03, 2021, 07:45:04 AM
The average lifespan of a person is around 70 and I am around 20s so I think that we still have an enough if not adequate time to witness an election that utilizes blockchain instead of the traditional system that we currently use with blockchain.
310  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pay with Bitcoin on: September 03, 2021, 06:07:47 AM
Really this is very interesting. It is rare to find an entrepreneur who is good at seeing the opportunities for bitcoin holders that are currently increasing. This will be one of the excellent payment alternatives to attract potential clients . Makes it easy and doesn't require cash, just send and everything is OK.
It's not rare, they just don't tell anyone that they're an entrepreneur. Not to mention that OP's idea have been thought before by other people, it's just that it didn't take off plus there are a lot of established and better alternatives out there but who knows, this might be the million dollar idea that's going to eclipse the other site.
311  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The more popular Bitcoin is, the more valuable it is? on: September 03, 2021, 04:45:38 AM
this is not a guarantee that when bitcoin is more popular, the price will increase, as we can see at this time how bitcoin is so popular among many people where there are so many miners who invest in bitcoin, but the price of bitcoin is also stable and that's where we can't make the benchmark the more popular bitcoin, the higher the bitcoin price
Read the Keynesian Beauty Contest to know that you're wrong, popularity means demand and with bitcoin having a limited supply, the price further increases, combine that with the popularity/demand and you will get a much higher pump in prices. So in all dimensions, in the argument you are wrong that even if it's popular, it doesn't guarantee a price increase.
312  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin could destroy economy on: September 03, 2021, 04:04:43 AM
I don’t think anything is ever going to happen. I agree that bitcoin has become quite a big name in recent days but it is not that big that it can destroy a complete economy. There are so many other factors that might contribute to the destruction.
There's always the possibility so it's not completely a fiction that bitcoin's going to destroy the economy, remember that it's an unusual investment tool so it's likely that its not going to do so but I am on your side, it's just that I want people to see that there's endless possibilities, be it worse or better.
313  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a new investment on: September 03, 2021, 03:20:10 AM
It's not new, it has been a decade already so I think it's not new in my standards. Also, it's worth mentioning that be careful when you want to invest in bitcoin, it's a volatile asset and you really don't want to lose a lot of money so do some research before getting in and you need a ton of patience because that's the only way to make money in bitcoin.
314  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My ledger got hacked on: September 03, 2021, 02:36:17 AM
From all of these suggested possibilities, I do admit I saved the seed in my google drive. To access my gmail account though, requires 2FA. Google did not notify me for a remote login etc. I used the same seed since 2017 on the same ledger device.
If they did get access of your computer then they've probably spoofed your email to somehow circumvent the 2FA, it's not a new thing, a lot of hackers use that to try and bypass 2FA and if they're able to do that then you wouldn't notice that they've logged in. Plus, you have a physical device so it's much more difficult to access your wallet in that manner. Can you show us the transactions?
315  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Afghanistan replace afghan currency with Bitcoin? on: September 03, 2021, 12:22:23 AM
@TravelMug is right, it's useless at all and wouldn't the Taliban refuse that from happening right because they at least have some inkling knowledge as to the implications of making bitcoin an official currency. Also, it's not really the right step for them to use bitcoin as a currency since there's not enough to go around.
316  Economy / Reputation / Re: Can someone with data crunching skills help me out with account linkage? on: September 02, 2021, 05:23:28 PM
I don't know if it's been pointed out already but the name combinations seem to connect to some popular pop culture names like Briggs (Jacqui Briggs from Mortal Kombat is what I've though first), Kudrow (Lisa Kudrow from F.R.I.E.N.D.S.), and Stanley Boyle (We Happy Few 2). I don't know about the others and I am not entirely sure that there's really sense in the connection that I've made.
317  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How To Go About Crypto Trading For Newbies. on: September 02, 2021, 04:39:16 PM
Mastering trading with the basics first before continuing to trade. There are many articles, journals, videos that can be searched easily. At least have an idea how to determine the right crypto based on a pretty good prospect. Sets 10 CoinMarketCap ratings or up to 100. Use 50% for trading and 50% for long term trades. Because that way you can find out the difference in profits and the difference between the two.
Why not read and take in information first before getting into trading, experience can always wait. Remember that when you just get in without thinking, you will always end up with nothing but losses which is the biggest mistake. Also, try to practice with paper trading instead of getting in with the real trading, try the risk free ones.
318  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Dont get sad over what could have been on: September 02, 2021, 04:00:52 PM
Don't ignore sadness, it's alright to feel that feeling remember that it's better to let go of your emotions rather than bottling them up, remember that doing so will help you relieve of that burden of trying to be sad, it helps you concentrate since you're not thinking about it anymore. It's okay to be sad, just don't let it drag on for so long.
319  Economy / Economics / Re: Differences between an investor and common man! on: September 02, 2021, 03:18:38 PM
This is a very significant difference in my opinion . People who like to invest I believe they have dreams for the future. They expect money to work for them in their old age, not for them to work for money. They save today for a better life tomorrow. And not everyone is able to have these principles and it takes hard work to make their dreams come true.
It's not like everyone don't have it, some are just unlucky to not know about it in the first place. Some don't have the opportunity to even invest at all because the money is so tight and it's only enough for them to survive the month if lucky. You're right about the differences but the playing field isn't equal.
320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The used of Bitcoin in Africa on: September 02, 2021, 11:16:28 AM
Nigeria is leading the baton to crypto adoption in Africa. Nigerians are interested in cryptocurrency, despite the challenges we face in the country. We are innovative, Nigerians have even got our own crypto....cryptocurrencies created by Nigerians not CBDC. Example is Tatcoin created by Gaius Chibueze aka Bitcoin chief; HaggleX coin created by Samuel Joseph, also a Nigerian born and bred. These are a few examples to show the development of crypto industry in Nigeria.
Too bad that they're government doesn't support crypto not knowing that they're the biggest in the African continent in terms of crypto adoption. I hope that that stance against crypto will change someday and hopefully they will be able to get the benefits out of supporting crypto instead of just outright opposing it.
