421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't buy Bitcoin with alts! on: July 30, 2018, 03:00:02 PM
It seems many people are speculating the rise of BTC and therefore are transfering value from alts to BTC. But if you want BTC, buy it with FIAT! Fresh new funds are needed on the market! You are dumping alts making prices dump hard and maybe are speculating you will be able to buy more of the alts later on, but what idiot will selll it to you at that dumped price?? So if you want BTC, buy it with FIAT or at least don't expect to buy back more of the alts for cheap!

A lot of people will still do that and wouldn't care on dumping any coin. That how the market goes and works and we couldn't stop those people from doing it.
422  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When is the moment it smells like a scam on: July 30, 2018, 02:42:51 PM
When the scammer tells you...

1) to give him your wallet id and password

2) to use a blockchain wallet he created for you.

3) to fund your wallet after you changed your password

4) that you will get 5000% back in a day (high percentual return in a short period of time)

Any more??? let's discuss!!!!

P.S. by the way, I have found a very good platform called gebepay and I have used it a couple of times and found it pretty useful and safe to buy products or services with my ETH, anyway have a look!

For some people it is already obvious that it is a scam. But for some beginners and gold chasers they will always try to go that way since they don't have any experiences yet.
423  Economy / Economics / Re: They are the silent majority. on: July 30, 2018, 12:11:24 PM
I'm a 21-year-old college student. They say Bitcoin is an invention that will change the world and benefit mankind. In the past two months, I wrote dozens of emails to the leaders and celebrities in this field to try to raise money for my sister's surgery which can save her life. But they all choose a silent treatment, there was no reply. The same thing happened on Twitter. It seems that all they concerned about is how to fish for fame and compliments. Maybe this is the real world.

This is the reality my friend. People strive, people are lucky and some are not. But you also need to strive to go to the top for you to survive.
424  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin does not have limited supply on: July 30, 2018, 09:55:05 AM
The argument is again and again that the value of Bitcoin will increase because supply is limited to 21 million. But this is quite simply wrong. Every time Bitcoin is forked that is in real terms an expansion of the Bitcoin currency beyond 21 million. To some degree the same is true of alternative crypto currencies which will flood the market. There is already more than 1000 cryptocurrencues ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cryptocurrencies )

I am not sure about this one, but I really know that somehow there are Bitcoins that are being forgotten and been lost forever and I would really see if that would really make Bitcoins supply go down.
425  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you expect of ALTCOINS? on: July 29, 2018, 01:07:02 PM
People are dumping the tokens, They sell it in a lower price. They are breaking the wall -_-, How can people help a project if don't know how to  help theirselves? I expect more of coins but less of prices.

I expect some of them will be successful and some of them will be useless and worthless. Since people only make those altcoins to gain money from investors and will do nothing about that project.
426  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Never Be greedy! on: July 29, 2018, 12:34:04 PM
Greed is on me of the 7 deadly sins it is the evil that you posses will destroy you so i think it should be the trait that you should avoid

I know that we shouldn't be greedy. But greed has put all in here in the crypto community. And no one is really not guilty about it. We should sometimes need to be greedy for us to escape poverty.
427  Economy / Economics / Re: Overcoming inflation with cryptocurrencies on: July 29, 2018, 06:42:16 AM
On this occasion, I will tell you how I overcame inflation with the help of cryptocurrencies living in Venezuela

As many know and as many do not, the inflation of the Venezuelan currency is in an inflation of 3000% and increasing. This leads to extreme poverty but that is not what I come to talk about.

I got into the world of cryptocurrencies 2 years ago, and I'm not giving myself many luxuries but considering what you live here, you can call it luxuries. I am not bathing in money but I am not in extreme poverty either, and I thank the world of cryptocurrencies and its positively volatile market.

Me too. I have got out from poverty because of crypto. I have quit my job and start on focusing on this and it went all good and now I can provide for my self and needs and also for my family.
428  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why the bitcoin won't crash. on: July 29, 2018, 06:26:50 AM
I don't think big holders (whales) let gonna crash bitcoins. They are the major party currently controls the bitcoin price.

Yep, people like them won't make Bitcoin go down since they really invested big enough. And just imagine that only few people know about Bitcoin. What if everyone will notice it? Just imagine.
429  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Too many new Exchanges on: July 27, 2018, 06:49:22 AM
Recently i was working on a project related to Altcoin listing on different exchanges. Strange i found out too many new exchanges and people are trading well over there. Don't you guys think there should be limited number of exchanges and regulated ones? (Many new exchanges are nicer too and competitive but there is always a trust issue there specially for new investors). Your thoughts.

Somehow people use those many exchanges for making a lot of profits by just making an arbitrage trading. But I do agree that we should have only limited and regulated exchange in order for us to have less risk for having a scam exchange.
430  Economy / Economics / Re: Greediness leads to market manipulation. on: July 27, 2018, 06:07:40 AM
Sometimes many people try to manipulate the market and buy precious tokens cheap and selling high later. They intentionally cause fear and panic in the inexperienced members and take advantage to perpetrate their greed activities.

That is a part of investing and trading. All you have to do is learn how to join or do the same the way they do it for you to bring your own fortune for yourself.
431  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why people invested in ICO that no guaranteed the coin will be listed? on: July 27, 2018, 06:00:26 AM
I have seen a lot new upcoming ICOs launching but I do believed most of it are not able to be listed in crypto exchanges. However, there are many believer are still blindly invest all kinds of ICOs. Why that?

Because that is what you call investing and risk taking. Sometimes those people are the rich ones who took those risk. Some of their investment will fail but some will be a success.
432  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What technical analysis indicators works for crypto day-trading? on: July 26, 2018, 03:37:08 PM

Having dabbled in forex trading for the past years and starting my crypto journey.
I'm wondering what indicators are useful for crypto day-trading. How useful are SMA's or EMA's?
What trading platform has the most complete technical analysis tools?

Every indicators you know may be useful and somehow works if you just know how to see the future of crypto. You'll just have to learn to a new market and try to adapt it.

434  Economy / Economics / Re: The Cryptocurrency Market and How it Influences Our Economy? on: July 25, 2018, 03:53:54 AM
Over the last year, network congestion and skyrocketing fees have alienated businesses that used to have BTC as their payment method of choice. As a result, merchants who used to accept purely BTC were forced to add other cryptocurrencies to their payment options, with some completely dropping BTC altogether. In fact, even the black market on the dark net—one of Bitcoin’s earliest fans, have ditched BTC in favor of more functional cryptocurrencies, like Dash and Litecoin.

Bitcoin does have its obvious limits. And it is this lack of flexibility that had users wanting more, and pushed Ethereum into birth in the first place, with more new blockchains emerging shortly after. Stellar, Ripple, Dash—the list of newer blockchains goes on and will continue to grow longer as private blockchains add even more to the mix.

This is absolutely true, but I guess all people want to change something in blockchain and other people only want to gain a lot of money from it by making many useless coins.
435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to do this? on: July 24, 2018, 04:48:58 PM
Dear forum participants, I think it's time to introduce restrictions on the ICO. The reason for my proposal was a huge number of fraudulent projects that are hiding with investors' finances, don't pay bounties compensation when the desired amount is reached, etc. I propose to create a verification system that will become an intermediary between the investor and the ICO.

I think having a regulation to ICOs and any investment related to crypto is also a good idea so we could try to lessen those frauds and scams for our new investors in the future.
436  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which exchange is the best for shorting? on: July 24, 2018, 03:08:49 PM
Hi All,

I hope you all safe in this bear market. Do you guys have any experience on shorting? And which is the best exchange for shorting based on volume, its security on hacker and credibility? Thanks in advance.

The question is, why do you want to short? Do you have any insights? Bitmex is the most popular exchange for that is you want so, but be careful on what you are going to do.
437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are cryptocurrencies here to stay? on: July 23, 2018, 07:07:46 AM
Right now, it seems that the crypto world and block chain technology has a lot of potential, but is the crypto world here to stay? Not just bitcoins per se, but other virtual currencies as well like altcoins or litecoins and such. Do you think we will still hear about and use cryptocurrencies for the next, say 5-10 years?

No one could probably stop it for now. Even our governments had a rough time on how to regulate it. But definitely crypto and blockchain technology are here to stay.
438  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it possible to do Arbitrage trading with USDT/BTC? on: July 23, 2018, 05:24:48 AM
Yo guys,
Alot of people practice arbitrage but they do USD/BTC which is a bit inconvenient since you have to transfer the USD to your bank account and re-do the same thing on the other exchange in question,so it would take quite a bit for time;enough to make arbitrage not worth doing anymore.
So my question is it possible to do arbitrage trading with USDT/BTC?
Regards

I do not know if there anything that could do that. But if it is possible then that is quick a good idea and would help me a lot on my tradings.
439  Economy / Economics / Re: what have you sacrificed for crytptocurrency economic growth on: July 23, 2018, 04:12:12 AM
It is believed that what you have sacrificed for is dear to your heart. We all want the worldwide adoption of cryptocurrency but until we make personal sacrifices, it is still far fetched. You can makes sacrifices like educating people to fully understand cryptocurrency. Reading from social media alone is not enough to convince people until they see a friend or relative actually testifying about it.

I have already sacrificed a lot because of this new technology. But somehow, it is so worth it since I got to enjoy my life a lot after I have focused in this technology.
