921  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you do with your crypto? on: February 13, 2018, 03:10:19 PM
I mostly mine and hodl, but my friend day trades and says I should start getting into it. What do you prefer to do and do you think there is a better route to take? I personally think it's all up to personal preference, I'm new though.

Trading is a lot of work, you are already mining and it is great, why just mine and hold, it is not a bad idea.
922  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to quickly verify Bittrex account - Fastest way on: February 13, 2018, 02:39:14 PM
Hi all,
I have really hopeful way to quickly verify your account. This is just a little trick.

Step 1: Login to your account in Bittrex. Save information about your account (IP login, Txid of your deposit or withdraw, your balance). Setup 2FA (2-factor) and logout.

Step 2: Login to support, open new ticket about 2FA. Notice to Bittrex that you lost your phone so can't access to account. Request to remove 2FA. Part "2FA issue" select "2FA removal".

Step 3: When the Bittrex system automatically responds, request information about IP, balance ... same step 1, give it to them. The last part they asked for was a photo of your ID (passport) and a selfie picture with id, a hand holding a paper with Bittrex + date . You upload all to  the tickets.

After 2 or 3 days, Bittrex supporter will remove 2FA and verified your account.

Good luck! And pls don't share to Bittrex man  Grin Grin

Just submit a clear copy of your ID and information, it will be verified quick without doing anything else though.
923  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Look back and move forward on: February 13, 2018, 01:15:53 PM
In this time of Fear Uncertainty and Doubt it is sometimes good to look back at what has gone before.
We should learn from other threads from late 2016, through to the latter half of 2017.
There were so many threads asking if it was the right time to buy Bitcoin because the price was rising but some people still doubted it would last.

So here are a few older threads which could be interesting and helpful for these current times and to learn to BUY NOW and have no regrets.

Warning These are big threads, I have listed the thread start date, the title, the link and the approx. price of BTC at that time.

September 30, 2016, Bitcoin is a good investment now, because... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1631600.0 (bitcoin price - $605)

July 06, 2017, Is it too late to buy bitcoin? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2006434.0 (bitcoin price - $2864)

August 06, 2017, regret by not believing in BITCOIN? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2068454.0 (bitcoin price - $3252)

October 19, 2017, when is the right time to invest on bitcoin https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2288662.0 (bitcoin price - $5411)

We wont be going back to those prices above and we may not be visiting sub $10,000 after this current low spell so buy now.

People that do not have guts are just panicking and not seeing the good sides of Bitcoin. Well, it will not be our fault if the tides turn on their side.
924  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I was bought some bitcoin by sell my land on: February 13, 2018, 09:47:55 AM

925  Economy / Economics / Re: It's Not Over Yet on: February 09, 2018, 09:28:08 AM
FUD spreading like wild fire and news agencies and all form of media are buying it for the sake of site visits and traffic. There's also a lot of instant crypto experts who gives unsolicited advise to holders that the end is near. Who cares and who needs their advise. As far as I know, what we are experiencing now is nothing new to the market and if you are not used to it, definitely you are new to crypto. HODL!

Chart Source: Cointelegraph

BTW: As I type this post, BTC-USD is back to $7,350

Yes, definitely people are just spreading those useless FUDs so that they can buy at a lower price of Bitcoin, and I think it is working.
926  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: LakeBTC on: February 08, 2018, 07:05:40 PM
Hello,

Does anybody trades on LakeBTC?
Is it a reliable exchange? It looks quite suspicious so would like to get answers from those who have traded or still trades there.

Also, how about their FIAT withdrawals? Especially SEPA? How long does it take to get processed and is it difficult to make a withdrawal?

I can't seem to recall that I have heard an exchange like that in my life. Just to research about them and see social medias as well.
927  Economy / Economics / Re: Armed robbers have raided the house of a British virtual currency trader on: February 08, 2018, 06:47:55 PM
Quote
Armed robbers have raided the house of a British virtual currency trader, forcing him to transfer Bitcoins after tying up his wife and threatening him with a gun, British media reported on Monday.

The robbery happened on January 22 at the couple's home in the village of Moulsford in southeast England, according to the Daily Mail, which said the cryptocurrency crime was the first of its kind.

Four robbers wearing balaclavas broke into the house of Danny Aston, 30, and his wife Amy Jay, 31.

A Thames Valley Police spokesman quoted by the Daily Telegraph said only that police were investigating an "aggravated burglary" in Moulsford last week and that the occupants of the house had been "threatened".

According to company registry records, Aston and Jay are directors of Aston Digital Currencies, which specialises in managing virtual currency portfolios.

The company was created in June 2017 at a time when Bitcoin was trading at around 2,500 euros.

It has since risen sharply to a peak of 16,323 euros on December 17 before falling back below 10,000 euros.

No arrests have been made but the reports said that Aston may have been targeted because of his high profile in the cryptocurrency community.

Using a pseudonym, Aston has carried out more than 100,000 transactions with 16,375 partners.

Some of them referred to him online using his real name, which may have led robbers directly to him.

Bitcoin is a virtual currency created from computer code that allows anonymous transactions. Unlike a real-world unit such as the US dollar or euro, it has no central bank and is not backed by any government.

Better source if anyone wants it:  http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2018/01/28/britains-first-bitcoin-heist-trader-forced-gunpoint-transfer/

No mention of how many BTC was stolen. Apparently this is the first case of bitcoin being physically stolen via force in history. It will be interesting to see if the BTC is recovered. Also interesting: thieves were armed with a gun. The article mentions the person robbed carrying out more than 100,000 bitcoin transactions! That's a lot of transfer fees!

I feel like there's an interesting and important angle to this news story that I'm missing. If someone can spot it, please point it out to me!

On the positive side, its good no one got hurt. Does anyone think he'll have his funds returned by law enforcement?

It will not really happen to you if you are not bragging about your profits in crypto. Just be silent about it if you do not want to happen bad to you.
928  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japan plans to become the Bitcoin capital of the world. on: February 08, 2018, 06:36:57 PM
We have a bundle of good new appearing today.
This one is about Japan future leadership in Crypto world.
JAPAN plans to become the Bitcoin capital of the world

As it is the most hightech place in the world, so Japan chooses to be the first to adapt Bitcoin fully. They won't regret it and will be a wealthy country someday.
929  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many panic sellers, HODLERS and new buyers out there? on: February 08, 2018, 06:22:24 PM
Hey guys. How are your cryptocurrency investments doing? I hope I covered all the options in the poll and did not leave anyone out.

I am a holder and I do not panic even though I lost big amount of my funds. I just know that the price will recover and will comeback to its original price or even higher, someday.
930  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do you want high price of bitcoin after all? on: February 08, 2018, 05:52:25 PM
At first I want to say: Read my post carefully and don't spam.
We all wanted high price, higher than 1000$ and got it, we got even 19k and there people were hoping more than 20K, they think like it's infinitive.
Did so high price do a good job? No, higher satoshi/byte fees became even higher in value because of price rise, some exchangers closed registration and etc. In reality there was no need of 19k but I think currently it's best to see price between 5000-8000$. There isn't so much demand.
You want high price to get much from holding? Seems you hang on bitcoin and are only selfish.

Everybody wants a high profit from Bitcoins high price. But the thing is, bitcoin also needs to improve, like the fees and transaction speed.
931  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not invest in bitcoin if you don't know anything about it on: February 08, 2018, 05:28:26 PM

Bitcoin is a global craze. Even farmers, students, the older, housewives ... who are don’t know what is blockchain also buy bitcoin. Because there are so many new investors investing in it in the hope of making a big profit. But actually that is not investing that is gambling.  Roll Eyes
I do not prevent you investing to make money but invest wisely. Especially do not put all the property into bitcoin and cryptocurrency. Hope people do not blindly participate in this gamble. Grin

Yes, I really agree with you there mate. But we can not force any one for them to do what they want, so we really just need to guide them on how to invest in crypto, correctly.
932  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm so happy this is happening! on: February 07, 2018, 09:34:47 PM
I always kind of hoped that one day all the fair weather fans would start to wander off. The folks would lose interest and forget why Bitcoin got to where it is today. It blew up so fast that I worried I'd never be able to acquire Bitcoin but it seems a miracle has happened. Everyone in this space now has no idea what the point even is!

Smiley It's terrific, before Bitcoin hits 100k and eventually a million a whole new wave of noobs are coming and going driving the price back up and then eventually leaving. You guys know this exact thing already happened right? The people that get Bitcoin keep stock piling, everyone else loses interest time passes and it explodes up again.

Anyway, thanks to everyone that contributed to bring the price down. I truly appreciate it and it was good having you around for a while. Smiley

Everything is working according to plan. You are absolutely right my friend. People here in my place says that Bitcoin was banned just because the price went down and people starts to lose interest. By this price, I am able to buy in a cheap price.
933  Economy / Economics / Re: Making Trading Company on: February 07, 2018, 05:04:56 PM
for me cryptocurrency is a very good thing to make money, the fluctuation fron bitcoin and altcoin is like money flying around on my head waiting to catch and i see the growth of bitcoin is tend to be positive.

Because of that i have plan to make Trading Companay for cryptocurrency.

what i wanna ask you is my plan can be interesting public interest?? will it be good thing for me and public in my city??

Like trading is an easy task? No, I think it would not be a good way to have a company for trading. Just do what ever you want to do on your own.
934  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much do you think btc will go up by end of 2018? on: February 07, 2018, 03:03:54 PM
How much do you think bitcoin will be by the end of 2018?

I think it will grow beyond expectations, like what happen last year, everybody predicted it to hit only for $10,000 per Bitcoin when it nearly hit $20,000. So probably it will grow more than we expect it to be.
935  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government to Develop Cryptocurrency Regulations on: February 07, 2018, 01:09:12 PM
The Philippines' Security and Exchange Commission noted that it is currently developing a regulatory framework designed to govern cryptocurrency transactions.
https://news.bitcoin.com/106900-2/

How about in your country?

Well, our government here in the Philippines only registered our current exchange. There are no news about regulation yet.
936  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Leave full time office job to trade crypto? on: February 07, 2018, 12:25:11 PM
I just quit my office job to have full time in crypto world. I split my time of day to work manything: doing bounty campains, researching good crypto to invest, trading 3 - 4 times per week (not day trading) and may be next time i'll  learn about mining.
Anyone who has been off work like me can share your experiences?

Still not a good choice to quit a regular job than to do crypto. You can always manage your time to do both and still has a good passive income everyday.
937  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why almost everybody suggest to hold? on: February 07, 2018, 12:07:44 PM
Hi all,
I have a really simple question or so seems to me cause i am a crypto noob.
I really do not understand why almost everybody suggest to hold when there is a dip or correction.

With my simple noob logic i think that when there is a dip someone could sell at the start of the dip or do something else (e.g. buy tether y i know the rumors or something similar anyway) and then buy again later when the correction has stop or decrease.

Obviously no one knows when there is a many days dip and when it will end in order to buy but even so one can save much money just for sell and buy in between even without predict the absolute start and end of a dip.

I hold as everyone suggests but i now realise that if i had sell even a couple days before even yesterday-and not right after the start of the dip and buy lets say now i would have save a bunch of money relatively with what i am doing now which is hold.

I really must be missing something since i am crypto noob orelse i cannot explain why everyone suggest hold while i fear that real pros are doing the oppossite.

I would like to ask only experienced people who know what they are talking about to give their opinions cause i am fed up reading pseudo crypto pros everywhere around. I bet many of you understand what i mean. Everybody has become a crypto pro . Well i am a crypto noob and i need your heads up.

Thank you for your time reading this and excuse my lame English.

Regards.

Some of us HODL because we do not like to have a loss or too afraid of losing some money, because we know that someday the price of that current coin will still come back to its original one or maybe higher than that.
938  Economy / Economics / Re: Do we need regulations? on: February 07, 2018, 11:50:01 AM
How do you guys think? Do we need regulations in the crypto world? Should only ICO be regulated or legit coins (not "security tokens") too? Can we implement regulations mechanisms in code so that corrupted governmental institutions couldn't manipulate the industry? Can we still have free market with governments' regulations across the world?

Please, share your thoughts. I'm a bit confused about what's happening right now.

Yes, it would be nice to have the government regulate the crypto world where we can above frauds and scams. Also we can have securities with our investments.
939  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The security of cryptocurrencies is an issue for some people. on: February 07, 2018, 09:43:42 AM
The founders of digital coins know that stories about exchanges being hacked damage their image.
For cryptocurrencies to be commonly used by the general public they must gain trust. The same trust that people have in the bank coins and notes they use to buy goods and services.

Banks and cryptos for me is just the same, but in fact that when crypto gets hack or you lost some funds in there, well, there will be no one you could run into to get your money back.
940  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will under 5000 within this month do you think so on: February 06, 2018, 11:59:18 AM
bitcoin price now is under 7000 it will go under 5000 it is real or FUD..who is manipulate this market...

I think that may be true since $5,000.00 in the strongest support of Bitcoin. The it will be the time to buy more.
