Have you seen the link that you posted? YES THEY ARE. If this will push through and Microsoft will continue on implementing Bitcoin payment to other software such as office and other OS , it will be a good advertisement to propagate to other markets. Free Advertisement indeed!

623  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Core, Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin Gold, and Bitcoin 2x... Oh my! on: October 14, 2017, 03:08:03 PM
it is indeed a free market, and also bitcoin is open source and under MIT license but this only means you can fork it and make your own thing. this means doing something like Charlie Lee did back in 2011. he forked bitcoin and created a new altcoin called Litecoin. that is why this coin has been serious and alive for the past 6 years.

but when you fork, then use bitcoin blockchain then disrupt bitcoin market, disrupt mining (hashrate like what EDA of BCH did), and start social attacks on bitcoin like what Roger Verr and the shills like @25hashcoin a couple of comments above are doing, that is a clear attack. you can no longer call it "free market".

As long as the "forkers" include replay protection and does not claim that their fork is the "real" Bitcoin then I am ok with them forking away.

Another thing we should be against is when the top Bitcoin merchants and the largest miners come together to make an agreement expecting the community to follow them.
It's like they already created a top management for us the community to follow their decisions and i disagree with that, this feeling of following them because they are the 'big merchants ' feels like they are already bullying us.
624  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HOT Jamie Dimon Breaks One-Day Silence to Call Bitcoin Investors Stupid HOT on: October 14, 2017, 02:41:48 PM
Here he is again , creating another FUD. This human cannot even walk the talk and how can i even trust this person who carelessly calling bitcoin fraud and at the same time investing on it. What a big liar.
625  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin unstoppable now on: October 13, 2017, 08:52:32 AM
China cracks down, Japan moves in.I think bitcoin cannot destroy.Bitcoin now unstoppable and its  price near 6k and hope bitcoin will be hit 10k this year. Smiley Smiley Smiley
It's not only just the reason, people are investing and buying bitcoins because of the upcoming fork and besides there is no such a stroing effect on price of bitcoin on Japan's opening a lot of exchanges unlike on China's banning cryptocurrency.
626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Regulated Ico’s good sign for altcoins?? on: October 13, 2017, 05:47:37 AM
Recently I have gone through some Ico like uahpay it’s already regulated by Croatian government they got everything set for crypto bank which is making really trustworthy one more Ico also I seen change bank . Give your thought about regulated ico is that a good sign for cryptoworld?Huh
It's a win win situation for both User, Government and the ICO itself, This is to prevent some illegal activities which may help to grow the ICO's reputation and the USER will also be safe from illegal accusation and could also boost the tourism of that Country if that alt coin could be used as a universal payment on that country.
627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid ICO scam on: October 13, 2017, 05:36:49 AM
I mean, is there an exact list of rules that could guarantee that someone who follows them will surely not become a victim of another ICO scam. Of course there are obvious rules like event participation, reputation of team members among ather prifessionals, approve by well-known advisors. But potential scammers also know all these criteria and know what to fake exactly.

Is there a 'blockchain way' to create an algorithm, scheme or set of conditions allowing to recognise and ban scammers? Not government laws way which also good for the market in my opinion.

Would be appreciate a link to an old thread, perhaps I just didn't find it.
I think you must change first on how you construct your sentence and also your grammar, and fix your thoughts in order for you to converse it and write it well for the readers here on bitcoin talk forum. If you are asking on how to avoid ICO scam. First know the background of the ICO, research the members and check if it is on the Buzz, Second and last is Read and Read here on bitcoin talk if a certain ICO is suspicious , it might be a Scam.
628  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China May Reverse Bitcoin Band on: October 13, 2017, 05:24:58 AM
Is it just me or does anyone else feel that the strength and integrity of Bitcoin is being tested or manipulated?

https://www.investing.com/news/cryptocurrency-news/bitcoin-hits-5400-on-hopes-china-will-reserve-exchange-ban-540769
It is just you. You know that a Fork is upcoming and a split into Bitcoin to produce Bitcoin Gold will happen that's why these traders and altcoin holders sell their altcoins into exchange with bitcoin. I do not think china will easily lift the ban, They have their monetary pride. well see for the next day if they will release an statement about this.
629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why people try to create their own coins? on: October 13, 2017, 03:57:25 AM
There are so many coins, but many of them just a copy of anothers. Why they waste their time for nothing? Grin
Well, it differs . some creating coins just for their own usage and some other create it for their business identity. Some for vanity. It differs from the creators but mostly reasons are for their business to Crowdsource via ICO and with that great effort I don't think that they are just wasting their time
630  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Price-Will it jump up after the BTC Fork? on: October 13, 2017, 03:04:06 AM
Do you guys think the price of ETH Will rise significantly once the investors from BTC / BTC Gold sell off? What about the other alt coins? Which one do you think will rise the most as a function of the BTC Gold users selling out of BTC?

I don't want to assume, but since ETH has dropping it's price we could still hope or atleast expect that it will rise significantly and might even create another historical price, BTC gold will surely drop because mostly users will use bitcoin gold to either buy altcoin or bitcoin.

39-Year Old Father-of-3 Sells Everything for Bitcoin, Waits for Boom Time

The price of bitcoin has experienced a roller coaster ride in 2017, but that hasn’t stopped one man from selling everything he owns, believing that the digital currency will make him rich.

The man in question is 39-year-old Didi Taihuttu. Speaking with the Business Insider, Taihuttu explained that this summer he and his wife made the decision to sell the family house, the car, a motorbike, electric bikes, clothing, shoes, and the children’s toys. Now he and his family live on a campsite in The Netherlands.

He explained the move by saying:

People will say, ‘You’re crazy.’ But we are an adventurous family and are going to gamble for a moment to live minimalist lives. If you never take a risk, life is boring.

Prior to selling everything, he and his wife had returned from a nine-month world trip through Asia and Australia with their three daughters. He was also spurred on after losing his 61-year-old dad from cancer.

During their travels, Taihuttu encountered many people involved with bitcoin. However, while he claims to have first become involved with the digital currency in 2010, he said he lacks ‘experience in trading.’

That, however, hasn’t stopped him from jumping straight in at the deep end.

Taihuttu, along with a friend, initially set up a business to mint bitcoin, but when the coin’s value rose in 2013 they sold everything. In hindsight, Taihuttu realizes how much more he could have made if he’d held on to the coins.

If I had known then that four years later it would have been 10 times more valuable, then of course I wouldn’t have sold everything. But then I thought: I have to make a profit.

It was shortly after when bitcoin’s value dropped that Taihuttu turned his attention to Dogecoin, which, at present, is currently ranked 55th on CoinMarketCap. With Dogecoin’s value rising Taihuttu realized that there was something going on in the market.

After selling their processions – they listed their home for 85 bitcoins, which is currently being negotiated with a buyer – they now live in a chalet on a campsite in The Netherlands. For now the family are embracing the minimalist lifestyle; however, Taihuttu hopes that by 2020 his wealth with bitcoin will be worth by three to four times as much.

This is so sad to here it is not a good move, they should have atleast think their children before making this move. If you really want to invest in bitcoin you should have atleast knowledge on it, This is so sad to read. I just hope they can recover from this.
634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you monitor your crypto portfolio? on: October 12, 2017, 07:56:39 AM
Like others have mentioned here, I use blockfolio as well. Great little phone app which tracks your purchases without being required to connect with of your wallets.
Never hear blockfolio, I think it's time for me to start organizing my portfolio though i don't have any altcoins in hand as of now and i don't have that much bitcoin, i might as well try these blockfolio to try it's features. Thanks for this dude.
635  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in cryptocurrencies on: October 12, 2017, 07:00:25 AM
I voted for too many scams, let's speak the truth here, it is really hard to trust this ICOs ( which you can see that almost daily they are posting on altcoin announcement thread) I'll trust them if they can create a signature campaign that pays Bitcoin. With that step i think they will gain the trust from the investors.

sorry for the offtopic but first this:

What do you mean "that pays Bitcoin"?

and now on topic:

This is cool idea, I think the most big problem is that there are not easy accessible wallets for the altcoins, so you can have the private key.
This is the biggest problem for me, as I can not trust exchanges with my coins, and it is hard to make wallets for all the altcoins.
So this is the biggest problem for me. Also not small problem is the scam that comes with new alts...

But this idea is really cool and I hope you develop it good.

P.S.: IDK why but can not vote on the pool Wink

"That Pays Bitcoin" means that There are Signature Campaigns that PAYS in TOKEN ( their own token or coin ) which somehow other TOKEN ICOS that has this kind of signature campaign that pays via their own token or via stakes are SCAM, Sone ICOs with Signature campaign pays BTC or bitcoin and not via stake, With this kind of strep i said that the trust of the community will be gained. There are rare number of ICOs with signature campaigns that pays btc and not altcoins/stakes/token.

638  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why you should focus more on saving bitcoins than selling your bitcoins on: October 12, 2017, 05:25:08 AM
Bitcoin has become the world most valuable asset and the value keeps going higher!

Why not we should focus on saving more bitcoins than selling our last remaining bitcoins?

I read and hear from a lot of guys owning bitcoin saying, should I sell my bitcoins?

The issues is, if you sell all your bitcoins when are you going to buy at lower price?

There's no guarantee when exactly bitcoin price will surely come down.

Share your thoughts about what you think guys. Smiley
Saving more bitcoins? I just hope you will never keep it long because I disagree to some hodlers that they will hold bitcoin for whatever they want, if bitcoin will not be used as a currency, it's price will definitely drop that's why i am pro-spending bitcoin.

The definite rule here is Sell when it's high and buy when it's low that's what i've learned on trading discussion thread.

Co-founder of Nem coin said: "US government knows who Satoshi?".

Do you believe that? And why does the US government not publish?
Can you post a link? Or you are just creating thread out of the blue without providing receipts of your assumption? Even if you will provide links, i will not believe on it. If Government know Satoshi then bitcoin should have been hacked by now or attacked maliciously.
